Virginia Tech campus police officers console each other after a fellow officer was killed Thursday on the campus in Blacksburg, Va.
BLACKSBURG, Va. -- A gunman killed a Virginia Tech police officer and was found dead in a nearby parking lot Thursday at the university, scene of the worst campus killings in U.S. history, officials said.
At a news conference on the campus in Blacksburg, Va., police said only that the second body was that of a white male and that he was not shot by police. A weapon was found nearby, they said.
Police wouldn't comment further on whether the second person was the gunman. But other authorities told NBC's Pete Williams that they believed the second victim was the man who shot the campus officer.
A law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed to The Associated Press the gunman was dead, but wouldn't say how.

Police refused to say explicitly that no other gunmen were involved. But they said they were confident that the situation is secure and "you can read between the lines."
A campuswide alert was lifted late Thursday afternoon, and Montgomery County schools lifted a lockdown, allowing students to begin heading home.
Staffers, students under lockdown at Virginia Tech: Shooting brings back '4/16'
Earlier reports suggested that the gunman was the driver of a car that the officer had stopped for a traffic violation, but police said late Thursday afternoon that the driver was not involved in the shooting. Instead, they said, the gunman apparently walked up to the scene during the traffic stop and shot the officer.
University President Charles W. Steger called the incident "a wanton act of violence." Fortunately, few students were outside because final exams had been scheduled for Friday and most students were indoors studying, he said.
Friday's exams were canceled. Counseling and support were being arranged for students and faculty and their families, said Steger, who said the shootings were "very traumatic because of the past."
That was a reference to April 16, 2007, when 33 people, including the mentally ill gunman, were killed on the Virginia Tech campus. Thursday's shooting came as Virginia Tech officials were in Washington appealing a $55,000 fine by the U.S. Education Department in connection with the university's response to the 2007 rampage.
University officials said they didn't believe the shooting was related in any way.
A candlelight vigil was planned for 6:30 p.m. Friday at the memorial to the 2007 shootings.
NBC News Justice Correspondent Pete Williams contributed to this report.

To say this is the worst in US history is a little much, I guess Kent State never happened
I believe they were referring to the events in 2007 when 33 people were killed on the same campus.
I fond their assuption rediculous also. Kent State will always be the worst for the morality of who shot who! While V.Tech's last shooting, the one I think this fool is reffering to, will be for the brutality. And then their is Columbine that just proves some writters think a story such as this needs some sensational headline, jerks with no compassion everyone of them!
Isn't it wonderful how safe no gun zones always are, for the coward shooting!
Let's see, Stan... 33 people killed at Virginia Tech in 2007 versus 4 people killed at Kent State. You do the math as to which is worse.
The 4 killed at Kent State were by our own national Guardsmen under orders from President Reagan. To answer your question: Kent State.
It's not about math. The 4 killed at Kent State were done by our own National Guard under orders from ahole Reagan. To answer your question: Kent State.
While not condoning the events of Kent State, let us not forget that what occured was the result of ' socio/politically charged' circumstances during a time of 'civilian unrest and disobediance'. What happened during the '07 rampage was nothing more than pure insanity and horrific evil which cannot be compared to the happenings on the Kent State campus. It's apples and oranges. And, if you can't wrap your head around that, then see Dave Larsons comment and indeed....do the math.
God bless the Hokies, the victims and there family. Are prayers are with you.
Now .....They were talking about the 4-16-7 shooting were 33 people were killed.
It is impossible to have a no gun zones in Blackburg because the city and the collage
are one. The school is so old that the whole city flow's in and around, VT.
You need to lay off the brown acid and get out of your time warp. In 1970, Reagan was not the president. Kent, OH mayor Leroy Satrom declared a state of emergency and asked Governor James Rhodes to send in Ohio National Guardsmen to Kent State University. No one is clear as to how the shooting started, but then-President Nixon had no hand in sending National Guard troops to Kent State.
Dave
You look old enough to know what Stan is talking about. While the VT shootings were horrible and by far the worst in numbers, Kent State occured with the blessing of the Ohio government. "Nuff said.
President Reagan? The Kent State shootings were in 1970. Reagan became President in 1981. The shootings were done by Ohio National Guard, which was under the command of Governor James Rhodes. If you want to, you can argue about how much blame to assign to him and how much to assign to Guardsmen who were too quick to pull the trigger, but you can't blame Reagan.
Factual accuracy matters.
Kent State was a tragedy but I never hear about Jackson State which happen the same week as Jackson State. Students were gunned down as well. Google it.
What are the gun laws in Virginia? Apparently it's easy to buy weapons there, maybe too easy.
Perhaps "clocker" needs a history lesson? Kent State 1970. President at the time Nixon. Where was Regan? California Govenor. Where is Kent State? Ohio. Can the California Govenor deploy the Ohio Guard? Nope. Can the california Govenor deploy the California Guard to Ohio? Nope. Is "clocker" and idiot? Yep.
First, what relevance is my age? Not following that at all.
Second, regardless of my age, I'm not buying what Stan is selling. If he wants to live in the politics of the 70s and say that a tragic mistake that occurred during a war protest is worse than a premeditated act of murder where a man chained doors closed and hunted college students and faculty down to shoot them in a cold and calculated manner, who am I to tell him different?
Lastly, how can you say the Ohio government condoned the killing of those students? From everything I've read, it was a crowd control action that military personnel are not trained for. Someone in the guard unit (no one will ever know who) got in a frenzy, sympathetic fire followed, students died. I'm sorry that happened. But no one went to that campus that day with the idea they were going to kill someone. I'd bet my life on it. THAT's what makes VA Tech worse. Tragedy versus murder. Period.
That cracked me up. You jump on here screaming KENT STATE WAS WORSE!! and can't even get which president was in office right. Best stay off the boards and do a bit of research before opening thy mouths again.
Now, to address the "worst" issue. Worst has almost always been used to describe death tolls and casualties, not the reasons behind an act.
Please, stop fighting...what's most important is that innocent lives were lost today, taken too soon.
The body count doesn't matter. Murder is murder, and it is horrible and evil any time it is committed.
@emilymarie...You are correct in your feelings but "an" innocent life was taken today. The other was the gunman, not an innocent life.
@Dave...Having been at KSU I can tell you that it was an act of chaos. People ask why the guard had bullets, they had guns, hence bullets. It was not a planned act. I had a friend that was in the guard and on the hill that day, he had no idea what happened or why. Some say there was a shot fired, others are not sure. There is a bullet hole in the Pagoda but no one is sure which direction it came. Tragic, yes. The worst in US history? No.
@TD67...Uh, Jackson State took place the same week as Kent State. Of course it happened the same week as Jackson State. But we know what you meant. The reason, right or wrong, that no one remembers JSU is because it was black students that got killed. That is why it is forgotten, which is a tragedy in itself. Tragic, yes. The worst in US history? No.
@everyone else...The reporter is stating fact when they call the April 2007 shootings the worst in US history. 32 students and faculty were gunned down in a systematic, calculated method. Tragic, yes. The worst in US history? In terms of numbers (which the reporter was conveying), yes.
Other shootings have claimed lives and more shootings will claim lives all will be tragic. Until someone kills (God forbid) more than 32 people Tech will hold the dubious claim to the worst in history.
I agree with you Emily Marie Stop fighting.. You guys are idiots. I grew up in Blacksburg... The fact that you would turn not one but two tragedies on the same campus into your ridiculous debates is disgusting. You should all be ashamed of your selfs!!!
Apparently the Kent state protests got serious when riots broke out and the protestors burnt the ROTC building on campus to the ground.
Wouldn't you call the National guard if buildings were being burnt down and riots were breaking out?
You all are victims of todays poorly written news. They obviously no longer teach English for Journalism students. A good writer would have been more clear with the above statement.
@clocker...too bad you can't delete your posting. Here's an idea; PROOF READ your comment before posting. Duh!
Condolences to the officers family and friends.
Although death is inevitable, senseless death is inadmissible.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
In my humble opinion Columbine was the worst. But I am sure this one is the worst for the families that lost some one in this shooting. Just before Christmas.
Dan Larson;
Any such shooting is inexcusable. However, the point being made of Kent state is this. A lunatic killed all those at V tech before and apparently now. At Kent State it was the U.S. military/National Guard killing 4 and wounding 13 with government issued ammunition with government issued M-1 and M-14 rifles. One would expect our military with there training to show a bit more professionalism and not fire on unarmed students especially without proper orders. Lunatics are the wild card of society. Military troops are not supposed to be. Nor should they have been involved with the Waco Texas fiasco. I remind you the military is forbidden to become involved in domestic police affairs. Lest we forget and live in a police state. Wait,,,,,, it may be too late.
Hey americanpie;
Do a little research. The ROTC building in question had been closed and scheduled for demolition. If anything they protestors saved the University a bunch of money by torching it. Still no excuse for National Guard troops to open fire on unarmed American students. ESPECIALLY without direct orders to do so. Troops aren't supposed to be thugs, government or otherwise. Kent State was a disgrace to our military. All involved should have faced a General Court Marshal. Including the Ohio State Commander of the National Guard. S**t rolls downhill, Court Marshall go up the chain of command.
@Stan von barbod, 4 were shot at Kent State where 33 were killed at Virginia Tech in 2007. I do believe they were referring to the number of people killed.
@clocker, What are you talking about when you say President Reagan ordered the masacre at Kent State? Ronald Reagan did not become president until January 1981. The Kent State students were protesting the Vietnam War during the early 70's and Nixon was president at the time. The order of presidents are Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan. I seriously doubt that any president would order soldiers to open fire on students who were not possing a threat to them. As for the national guardsmen who shot them, I would open fire to if I had a crowd of hostile students advancing on me in spite me aiming a rifle at them and shouting at them to halt.
Yes because having 33 people murdered in cold blood for no reason is far less worse than having the National Guard kill 4 idiot protestors
God Bless the children now involved in this matter. My thoughts and prayers are with them and the family/friends as well.
The article is about what happened today, not the past. The past was used as a reference point, not an opening for a debate.
DAVE LARSON - Very intelligent remarks in the post
clocker and maddy indabuff NY - you flaunt your stupidity like it's jewelry. People who have no f***ing stand out like a turd in the punchbowl.
Virginia Tech, and this nation as a whole, is weary of ignorant, self-delusional people, such as this gunman and some of the people posting on this website. This is NOT a f***ing contest for worst campus shooting. Stuff all your opinions on Columbine, Kent State, etc. This is a tragedy, pure and simple. A little f***ing empathy, or at least sympathy, for the families destroyed by this event, would be the LEAST we could offer. My personal condolences to those affected.
There is no worse when murder is involved of innocent people. Making one event sound worse than another doesn't ease the pain of those effected. Murder is Murder no matter what the count is. For years I have heard Columbine Columbine, but we forget there were school shootings elsewhere as if those lives didn't mean as much. My nephew witnessed the one in Paducah, something he will never forget and the list goes on. Ask any of the family and friends of these senseless murders we have everyday and they will all tell you it was the worse day of their lives.
I'm sorry, I hardly ever post on these things, but I needed to share my thoughts this time. My god, you're arguing over which shooting was the worst? Here's an idea: quit fighting over an article concerning an act violence and use this space to send out thoughts and prayers instead. Innocent people were killed in both- that's bad enough as it is.
4 Kent state Jane Fonda following, spit on our boys coming
home from the Nam demonstrators against the Cambodia invasion murdered by NGs
fearing going to the Nam, Yes truly terrible. However, this does not compare to
33 kids murdered. My heart goes out to those slaughtered on 4 May as well as
this police officer this week and the families of the 33 kids.
And this is why I fear for this country... because idiots like "clocker" are allowed vote. Idiots who don't even know where Kent State is, when the incident happened, or who was president at the time. I'm really all for a basic intelligence test to be taken before one is allowed to vote. Why should complete morons like this guy be allowed to determine the future of this country?
Exactly. This is not an opinion piece, it's an article. In an opinion piece, the idea of which shooting was the "worst" is certainly up for discussion. In this piece, which is only supposed to be an informative piece, the word "worst" is used to describe casualties (and possibly injuries). Period.
using clocker's logic, can I blame the Kent State killings on Obama?
Hey nicodemus,
If the building was so unimportant, then why were firefighters sent in? And why were the firefighters being treated just like the police? (I.e. GEtting objects thrown at them), not to mention slashing their hoses?
Not to mention the protestors:
Started fires in the streets, looted businesses, and even burnt a copy of The U.S. Constitution that gave them the right to burn said constitution.
And if it wasn't so bad, then why did the Mayor of Kent announce a state of emergency?
Do your own research.
wait, i thought college campus's were gun free school zones?.....
oh yeah, the criminals don't follow the laws.
more innocents killed because they can't defend themselves.
what a waste.
I would imagine that the police officer that was killed was armed. There just isn't much defense when someone walks up and shoots you without warning. You could be strapped to the hilt with MAC-9's and it wouldn't make any difference if you have zero suspicion that a bystander is going to plug you.
The victim was a cop, probably armed, and fully capable of defending himself... if he'd had any opportunity to. And based on the fact that someone other than police took out the initial shooter... it certainly sounds like a civilian was carrying.
But hey, way to try to spin this terrible event into an opportunity to promote more people carrying guns. It's just unfortunate that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
No. "Read between the lines" sounds to me like the shooter second person is the gunman and he killed himself.
You make a good point voice of reason. But people rarely get randomly plugged, unless they were a specific target. Usually it's a violent rape or a kidnapping or something of that sort. And if someone goes on a shooting rampage they might get one person by surprise, but if even in there are only a couple concealed carry holders in a huge crowd, they could have a good chance of stopping the shooter after the first shot and saving many lives. In a large crowd it would be very hard for the shooter to pin point those with handguns trying to stop him and they would likely have a chance to get a good shot.
More than a few cops have been shot while pulling someone over. That's why they always try and scope you out through the mirrors. If somone have an arrest warrant, popping the cop before he finds out who they are will help them escape. Probably why this guy shot the cop, unless he was just crazy.
The cop shot back - this comment is totally irrelevant.
Good point, Larson. I had thought that initially but the wording of the story made me think otherwise. Usually, when the killer takes his own life, it is stated plainly, almost immediately. But you're absolutely right, that is much more likely.
However... this is a weird one. Why does a crazed shooter take his own life so quickly? The insane gunmen usually go for a body count before they kill themselves. And if he was targeting a cop just because he's a cop... why not wait for others to arrive? It could be to erase any possibility of them killing him or being taken alive...
but maybe there's a possibility he wasn't just targeting any cop, but that cop specifically. The motive might have been personal.
Excellent comment Tim 285xxxx
oh yeah we should all be packin' like the policeman wasn't armed---you gun people are idiots
You got it Tim. The answer to gun violence is always more guns. Just like the answer to ignorance is more ignorance, the answer to war is more war, and so on and so forth.
I'm with you, Ellymac. Do we want to return to the days of the old West when there were shootouts in the streets? More people with guns does not equal more safety. Quite the opposite.
Compare our murder rate to that of other countries where guns are hard to come by. It's simple math.
---you gun people are idiots
Some Antigun people are pretty stupid too. Idiocy is universal, and does not follow a political spectrum, contrary to popular belief. The issue is that some nut shot somebody on a college campus that experienced a mind boggling tragedy years ago!
My condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the victim.
Great point Tim. Let's arm 30,000 students so the next time some idiot comes onto campus or a car backfires, everyone can pull out their guns in panic. Then the next headline will be more than 2 killed. I can bet you that even the cops don't want that kind of help!
What a mess. My prayers go to the family of the officer killed. How horrible.
I don
t think college campuses are gun free zones. I think that was ruled out in the first VT shooting, at least in VA. Hah Hah ERA ....not!
Hey voice;
I think you mean a TEC-9 or a MAC-10, no such animal as a MAC-9. Anyway, sounds like this guy had a grudge against the Cop. Maybe Mr. Police officer was doing his wife or girlfriend or something. One thing is certain, if this guy had a grudge, chances are we will know the truth of it.
That's what happens when anyone can have a gun or get a gun. The gun laws in this country are a joke, any crazy lunatic can own one! Maybe after more school shootings (Kent, Columbine) and more innocent people are killed then our country will look at the gun laws, what is it gonna take?
@kaybeetoys
Go for it. Compare crime rates... Start with England, dumb arse
By the way. go per capita on your comparison.
Kaybeetoys;
Yes, do lets. Guns may be hard to come by, but knives, clubs and pipes aren't. They have low murder rate by GUNS, true enough, but their murder rates by other means , that they conveniently leave out has been rising steadily for the last 2 decades. In the U.K., France, Canada, Germany, in fact most of "perfect Europe and recently Australia, it is 48% more likely to have a criminal break and enter your home, with you there, than is the U.S. They also are no experiencing the mindless murders by disgruntled ethnic groups as well. So before you paint the world outside the U.S. as a Utopia, I suggest a bit more honest research.
How then do you explain Switzerland? Every man and I think women between the ages of 18 and 50 are compelled to military training and issued a side arm and Machine gun to keep in their homes. And issued Ammunition for same. The most heavily armed society in the world and has the lowest murder rate. Could it be, not the gun as much as people respecting each other? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? A gun is like a car. A machine that can do nothing without an operator. Cars kill far more people than guns, so where's your indignation about cars? Why no car bans? Clearly some have been unsafe by design. It isn't the devise, it's people who don't care. Wake up.
Marc4040;
Care to guess the number of gun laws on the books? Counting all federal, state, municipal and D.C. laws? Let me help you, currently counting all jurisdictions there are 27,793 control laws on the books. So tell me, how many more will do the trick for you? Show me any other item with this many regulations attached to it, I dare you. Tell me this also, What good are laws that, A0 aren't enforced and B0 Largely ignored by the criminal elements. A felon in possession had been a prison term offense since 1934, when the original National Firearms Act was imposed.
The Kent state shooting was done by the Ohio National Guard troops not a deranged individual. So who's to tell who's the loony? Besides, it's not the law abiding gun owners who do this. Stop trying to vilify guns, it's like your car. Which is the number one killer in the U.S., the automobile. A gun is merely a mechanical devise, it requires an operator to do it's harm. Using that logic, Where's your righteous indignation to ban cars?
Nicodemus1946 -- you brought up the one point I always use to point out the idiocy of the "anti-gun nuts" in this country. They always want to either completely ban guns or make them next to impossible for normal law-abiding citizens to get. The one thing they never seem to realize is that criminals DON'T FOLLOW THE LAW. Hello geniuses, that's why they're called CRIMINALS. Yet, for some reason, they think there's always that one more restriction or law they can pass that everybody, including the criminals, are going to follow and respect.
My sincere condolences to the victim and his family, co-workers and friends. Hopefully you will find peace when the pain and grief receeds. The loss will never go away, but the hurt will. Peace be with you.
Sorry to hear a cop was killed.
I find it strange the cops are all decked out in camo and tactical vests. I doubt they wear these daily. My question is when did they stop and take the time to change clothes for this call?
No, cops usually don't wear all that gear. That was probably taken after the initial cop was shot and they were just getting prepared for a possible shootout.
Clyde, how about you step back and take a basic English literacy course? I don't know whether to laugh at your post or pity you. Nm, I'll do both.
wow Clyde. That was almost a coherant thought.
That gear is in the trunk of their cars! They don't "stop" to get dressed, they race to these scenes, open their trunks and move like crazy to do whatever is needed to assist. Every time an officer is hurt it changes everything, the best chance they have to help others is to be as protected as possible.
The Sherrifs Dept. responded too. Probably a tac alert.
he was shot in the head
Want to know why this country is so screwed up? People like Clyde can vote.
CLYDE CASSTEVENS-3142427 banned, applauding a cop's death.
no gun zones ? does this now seem like a stupid idea? wake up people guns also protect us! if the right people were armed this may have never happened.
mike-2603863 - Wake up? - the victim was a cop, and fully armed.
Anybody notice the alarming rise of sockpuppets on newsvine?
Monkey, you have got to be kidding me ......."Instead, they said, the gunman apparently walked up to the scene during the traffic stop and shot the officer." now if A GUN TOTING TEACHER WOULD HAVE SEEN THIS THE KID MAY STILL BE ALIVE...... nothing is going to protect us from random crazy people but we shuld be prepared to defend ourselfs at all times.... i hope the day never comes when you need to defend your life, you may not have the tools to do so.... bet that kids parents wish the teachers were armed.
Or maybe if the guy in the car that the cop had pulled over had been armed, he could've put the guy down immediately. I know it's hard to believe, but cops aren't the only people trained in firearms.
what going on with this school
Guns do not solve problems. I lived in Blacksburg for 12 years...never a crime in the town hardly..we left our doors unlocked..and being from Los Angeles, I found it odd..Now, VT is just like every other town. The gunman wasn't a college student that we know of..and he walked up to the officer while the officer was doing a positive routine traffic stop. I have a theory that the gunman was connected to a robbery the night before of a stolen SUV and that he wanted to be shot..that's why he approached a police officer. He knew someone was looking for him and I think he was a coward...
Truth be told, we all can't carry guns every day of the week. Guns are for protection but I have been a teacher for 19 years and a mother for 30 and I have never owned a gun.. and I never intend to. Guns may protect me in the short run, but if the perpetrator gets a hold of it from me, he can use it on me. I raised 3 girls with no guns in the house. Most people have no clue how to use guns and more guns won't make us safer.. they will just kill more people. Perhaps the day will come when I need one..but right now, I say no. And as another person observed, you can't protect yourself if someone sneaks up on you from behind..this guy wanted to kill a cop.and he knew what he was doing. condolences go out to the officer's and the gunman's family. All are hurting ..and all this gun discussion isn't helping them.
I am a christian, so if I die, I know where I'm going. This world is only a stopping place for me..it is not my home. Heaven is. the problem with shooting and violence lies with the breakdown of home life, solid families who love each other and support one another...and a 100 other reasons. We live in a sinful world and crime will not cease to exist until we are free from evil..and it will only happen when this world ends and God's kingdom reigns forever.

Virgina Tech is the stupitest univeristy on earth. Will they play football this weekend again and shout: we are hoggies again?
@ maccrazy2 Yeah and we are paying for all their military toys. (We have a 6 wheel APC in case the Cubans invade.) lolol
mmmmmmmmm sounds like the shooter and the shootee knew each other. Getting killed by a total stranger is rare.
Twice as likely to be struck by lightning in Tampa. (13 out of a million struck by lightning, 28 out of a million to get killed by a total stranger.)
We'll see what's up. BTW It certainly took the VA cops a long time to tell us that the shooter was the other dead guy Sheesh
lol a no gun zone means that the bad guys an dolls will know they will be the only armed ones there....
Reagan had NOTHING to do with Kent State. It happened during NIXON'S first term.
Thanks for that Mike, I was wondering how the hell Reagan got thrown in the conversation. At least you know your history. I am all for a good debate and voicing one's opinion; but people please think before you write.
ANd Nixon had nothing to do with it. Blame the Mayor of Kent and and governor of OHIO. They called up the guard, who did the shooting.
Yes, but Reagan and Nixon were both Republicans so it was obviously their fault.
First, my condolences [once again] to those who have lost someone due to the violent and insane among us, who can't be dealt with due to society being kneecapped by the lawyers.
"Oh Billy, your college acceptance letters are here! Penn State!"
"No thanks, mom!"
"Virginia Tech!"
"No thanks, mom!"
"Notre Dame!"
"No thanks, mom! Anything from the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts?"
I haven't heard of to many pepole getting shoot in Az.Go to school there
true
Virginia is for lovers, lovers of what coco puffs.
Ya don't think maybe the guy knew someone killed in the 4/16 thing and wanted to be sure the U paid 55G's for it? I kind of know the feeling having been tortured in an assylum for 8 of ten years and getting nothing but a lifetime in an abusive system by way of an apology. One possibility, anyway.
God bless the Hokies, the victims and there family. Are prayers are with you
People get shot weekly here in Arizona, we just don't make the National news, because happen so much.
Alex, the sad thing here is the fact is if what happened in 2007 hadn't happened this would be non-news. Sadly, police officers die in the line of duty all too often. This is reported in the local news and rarely gets national exposure unless the officer was doing something extrodinary when they were killed. The situation at VT today was blown way out of proportion due to 2007.
There's a bigger genocide going on under everybody's noses, bigger than Kent, bigger than Virginia Tech. It's "gangstalking" plus "directed energy weapons" plus "COPS." Google "Gestapo Gangstalking" or youtube.com/user/kcraigdc1. The Evildoers are getting ready for the "bank holiday" and civil unrest by training an underground police force supported by vigilante dupes. The military is applying the same ruthlessness that they've been inflicting on other countries for decades. Now it's our turn. They have not only established FEMA camps but a virtual nationwide grid of DEW weapons staffed by perverted gangstalkers. Fascists rule.
Oona, there is a bigger genocide than gangstalking, energy weapons etc. Sorry but 53,000,000 and counting is a LOT bigger. It's the systematic killing of innocent human beings in the womb under the guise of "choice" with a big nonprofit organization making billions of dollars while doing it and generations of young people who will never live to contribute to our world b/c someone is coerced into thinking that killing your future offspring is the right thing to do.. the crisis is not the baby..the crisis is the lose of life for the child and the grieving mother who regrets paying a "hired killer" legally to kill her child. and no, it's not a blob of tissue, it's not a parasite ( I wouldn't call my own children parasites!) it's a developing human being and ultrasounds and science proves it is so. So..the genocide of our culture is the worship of abortion...and it's time we stopped killing our own children.
and, by the way, if we can kill our own children in the womb then we are basing our culture on the death of the innocent..so, then, no wonder people kill other people. If it's okay to kill a helpless growing infant in the womb, then it's okay to kill period...and that, is why people kill. b/c our culture says it's okay to kill the old, the innocent, the infirm etc...Our society says...have a problem..kill someone..pretty sick huh??? but, hey, why not..it's okay to kill a helpless baby in the womb. right?? (and don't argue terms here..fetus means baby and we all know it's NOT part of a woman's body..it's a separate and distinct human being) Murder is just a part of our culture...just count the tv shows that glorify it. (CSI, NICS. Law and Order, Harry's law, etc. etc. etc... ad nauseum)
As much as I hate to engage either of you, narnia I can't help but comment on this:
If you don't agree with abortion, that's your right. And it's certainly your right to argue with others about their right to choose. But that statement is completely ludicrous. Until a fetus can survive from conception to "birth" outside of a woman's womb, it is most certainly part of her body. Whether you want to argue that it also a separate entity is up to you, but a fetus (which is the technical term for an unborn child) is literally attached to the woman's body and will die if that attachment is somehow severed and the baby can't be delivered. Please, if you're going to argue against a woman's right to choose, don't couch that argument in ridiculous assertions like that.
I'd also like to know where you're getting the idea that our culture "says it's okay to kill the old, the innocent, the infirm etc...Our society says...have a problem..kill someone.." As far as I know, if you get caught murdering anyone, be they child, elderly, or invalid, you're punished.
I am in. I'll be the dead hand and you guys can play into me anytime. ha ha ha ha Plus, and you probably never thought about this before, we got all these chinese birds (pheasants) in SD, so it must be the syberia of the US...and noone ever even suspected it!
Y does the cia keep rejecting my applications for cia slaygent, anyway?
gigrrcounter;
Hmmm. CIA Slaygent? I think that might have a little something to do with it.
tyler my point was he had a gun and shot someone on school property.
if gun free zones work so well why it didn't it stop him from having a gun there?
in a gun free zone only the criminals have guns! (and they know it!)
if you want to shoot many people easily go to a gun free zone (no resistance)
If (gun) Bans work so well why don't we just ban criminals?
you are one of the sheeple, you don't stand a chance.
REMEMBER....
WHEN SECONDS COUNT ... THE POLICE ARE ONLY MINUTES AWAY!
Maybe the guy's name was Elmo! Little humor! May GOD be with these students, faculty, and campus police.
Real sick people !!!!
What is really interesting is how this story was spun by the media. Initially, it was offered up as another school shooting just like Virginia Tech, Columbine, and others. And of course, plenty were on hand to lap it up.
The reality? Time will tell but at this point it appears to be an isolated event that migrated onto the campus with the result of one officer killed and the suspect taking his own life.
Keep believing every hyped up, biased story and quit thinking independently at your own peril.
96index to ground control! Calling? Hello, Hello! It was Virginia Tech again!
so the last terrorist in 07 was "mentally ill" oh i am sorry msnbc i forgot i am only supposed to reference the term terrorists to Muslims with box cutters and flip flops living in a random cave. I will right the next headline- shooter was "mentally ill". why are all these "mentally ill" running around with automatic weapons!
All yall forgot about the bell tower in Austin. My pick: Kent State, the Rodney King incident (eventhough it wasn't on a college campus), Austin Bell Tower, and then VA Tech 2007.
Rodney King???? WTF????
I have never seen so many stupid comments about one article. Why not blame Obama for Kent State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, etc. Jesus, think before you write something. If you don't know the facts, shut the hell up. Show some sympathy for the officer. I'm sure he has family that may read this. To the officer's family and all his friends and co-workers, I'm sorry for your loss.
Bingo! Thank you Chief.
Remember that nut Nancy Reagan communicating with aliens and ghosts while drunk.. Shes the one that came up with Just Say No! lol.. Which leads me to believe somehow with the help of dead aliens Reagan time traveled back to Kent State and yelled "fire".
I think it is time people started to ask some REAL questions about what is going on at VT.I live near this school and I can tell you for years VT has been a major school the cia recruits from.there is also this interesting place in blacksburg too of course it is a "lab" because all "labs" need to be 7,000 feet underground.
