why were his legs AND the wheelchair in the car and not with him?

From what I understood in the video, it was not the wheelchair itself, but a device to take the wheelchair with him when he leaves his home.

The REAL question here is who was despicable enough to do this to a paralyzed Vet?

Do take your car with you everywhere you go???? What a dumb #### you are. As if you take your car into the store with you. You're as dumb as the thief was. I don't see much of a difference......

Every other vet that I know that uses prosthetic limbs uses a specially adapted car where you can drive it without the use of your legs.

Those special vehicles are expensive though, no? What does it matter? The poor guy had his car and prosthetics stolen. Damn shame.

The sad thing about this story is that this kind of thing is pretty common. My heart goes out to this vet. He has served our country. And this is the thanks he gets??? I pray the thief gets arrested and that the judicial system throw the books at (him/or her). Times are hard, but there is no excuse for this kind of behavior. Hopefully someone rich or finacially endowed will offer to make some compensation for this vet. The world is going to hell in a hand-basket. Did this thief ever consider the welfare of his victim???? I doubt it.
