Bishop Eddie Long, the subject of sexual allegations made by male members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, is making headlines again, theGrio.com reports.
This time it's because video of one of his Lithonia, Ga., church services has gone viral.

On Sunday, the church televised a special edition of a worship service as a special guest, Rabbi Ralph Messer, crowned the bishop as king as he wrapped Long in what he said was a 312-year-old scroll recovered from Auschwitz after World War II.
Long has recently started performing church services again after briefly stepping down as head pastor from the church because of the sex scandal and subsequent divorce from his wife.

Nothing new. There have always been false teachers and prophets. Unfortunately, these kind of people deceive the gullible and are pointed to by those who are enemies of Christianity as "proof" of why they are right to hate it. And with the modern media, they can more easily spread their false teaching and poison.

An attempt to ensure that the gullible of that church continue to believe this BS so they continue to fund this fraud. I wonder how much was paid to Rabbi Messer to put on this show to cleanse and protect the good bishop and promote him to king. What a crock.

A sexual pervert crowned as King, by a Rabbi, and the audience is part of the show. Maybe it was worth money to see that live. The worst thing is parents annointing sexual perverts and continuing to expose their children to that environment. I can only imagine what these ignorants tell their children to brush aside the crime. Probably goes something like this:

I find it difficult to believe that a scroll 312 years old is A) in such excellent shape B) attached together with what appears to be duct tape C) allowed to be touched without gloves (in order to keep the oils from damaging it)

I just don't understand. He sexually assaulted more than a few young men as a BISHOP in the CHURCH and this guy has the balls to crown him a king? On television? Shouldn't he have been afraid of being struck down by lightning in front of millions of viewers? don't get me wrong; in no way am I juding or have any mind to attempt to do so for only GOD is qualified to judge. I don't claim to know a whole lot about a lot, but I do know that when its time to be elevated GOD is the One to say for who, where and when and HE's the One who does the elevating- not man! What I do know is that GOD's time is not measured the way our time is measured...My concerns and questions are many and only from a spiritual/scriptural aspect- NEVER SEEN OR READ IN THE BIBLE ANYTHING LIKE THIS (haven't seen it all for sure). I don't know and it's not my business what the bishop has done to make himself right with GOD for any of these goings on--- true or false, but I find it hard to believe with my li'l ole feeble, carnal mind that there has been enough time (if appeareances are true) for his relationship with GOD to have been restored to "this" point. I promise I am not juding the man, just trying to make sense in my mind of such a public affair in the midst of such disorderliness.
Lord, please forgive me if my thoughts are twisted and out of order. I know it is all in YOUR mighty Hands no matter what it looks like. We have only to answer to You when we lead others astray and teach anything contrary to Your Word.
The manservant and womanservant of GOD positioned to lead HIS people are held to a much higher standard...we aall s Christians are all held accountable to GOD for the standard we follow or lead by. If we are not praying and seeking wisdom and discernment from GOD we will be blown in all sorts of directions, falling for anyone and anything. If we put our faith in man and not in GOD we are headed from disappointment and frustration---always unhappy and without the kind of joy that can only come from Above. I pray for the leaders and congregation of New Birth...yes it's time for a new beginning, but I pray that you diligently seek GOD's direction and guidance. Your spiritual future and that of the generations to come depends on the "effective, fervent prayers of the righteous". the youth are watching and learning from you. Was going to sit this one out but I can't help but wonder. This scroll appears to be in great shape to be 312 years old and found on the tracks to Auschwitz - Birkenau during the holocaust. Seems like there would be some dirt or even some oxidation of the lambskin from its age alone. Just saying.

The very office of Pastorship is heretical so does this trult surprise anyone? When a man came up to JESUS and called him teacher Jesus launched into a disertation on not calling ANY man teacher, shepherd, or Father and yet men cling to their traditions at the expense of true faith. Jesus said not to pray to him or worship him but men place themselves in positions of authority over Man. Does it shock anyone that the heresy of worldy authority over the souls of Man has come to its natural fruition? This heretic adds fuel to the fire of anti-Christian bigotry by adding yet another layer of false doctrine for the enemies of the Kingdom of Heaven to point too in order to discredit true Christianity. As far his congregation goes, will Mr. Barnum stated that there is a sucker born every mintue - looks the "king" has collected a good number. Well, if their king" can flock his congregation, I guess they get what they deserve to be flocked!
This reminds me of the methods used by David Koresh, Jim Jones, Warren Jeffs... religion is used to drive the flock off the cliff.
