Subscribe to RSSA woman dubbed the "Black Madam" was arrested Wednesday evening at a so-called "pumping party" in Philadelphia, where she was reportedly planning to perform illegal butt-enhancement procedures. She was then charged with aggravated assault in connection with a previous "butt pumping" incident. WCAU-TV's Rosemary Connors reports.

Police say they received a tip that Padge Windslowe, also known as "Black Madam," would be performing the procedure at a Germantown home.

This wasn't the first time the "Black Madam" was connected to illegal buttock enhancements.
Windslowe is under investigation for a botched butt-enhancement procedure on 20-year-old British student Claudia Aderotimi at the Hampton Inn near Philadelphia International Airport in February 2011, according to police. Aderotimi died after the procedure was performed.
Police say that on Feb. 19 another woman -- an exotic dancer from North Philadelphia -- received injections of what is believed to have been silicone into her buttocks. Police say she went to Temple University Hospital two days later complaining of shortness of breath and spitting up blood.
"What we believe happened is the same thing that happened in a previous case... the injection struck a blood vessel," Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker said. "Whatever the stuff is -- we believe it's silicone -- went into the blood stream, landed into her lungs and caused shortness of breath."
Police say the woman from the most recent incident has since recovered.
Windslowe was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the most recent incident. She has not been charged in connection with Aderotimi's death.
Police say they plan to meet with the Philadelphia district attorney and the medical examiner on Thursday to discuss the Aderotimi case.
"The mere fact that she's out there continuing to still inject people makes us all irate," Walker said.

You know...for most people, the fact that the 'procedure' was being done inside a room at the Hampton Inn would be enough to raise at least a few red flags and not go through with it.
I can't fanthom why anybody would go to a hotel room or someone's house for a surgical/cosmetic 'procedure'.
I recall a few years ago it was botox parties; there were a lot of lasting injuries and deformities from that...when will people learn?

First of all, it's rather sad one of the women who opted for these injections died. It is unbelievable that some women would be so ignorant, and desperate or vain as to submit themselves to a hocus-pocus 'medical' proceedure by some charlatan working out of a motel room. It's the old adage; If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Some of these frauds encourage an anti-government or anti-establishment attitude, like 'the government is [or doctors are] hiding this miracle procedure from the people and all I want to do is make you feel / look better.' Such scams can only proceed on a feeling basis, not a thinking basis. Sadly, women are especially vulnerable to believing such cosmetic claims are true because they want them to be so.
Sad? not at all, she gets a Darwin award.

The open disdainment by some americans toward it and some black americans who bought into it, who tried to alter their physique and features to look more white.

The American culture is so obsessed with physical perfection that people are willing to believe just about anything in order to achieve a more perfect look. I think it is time for a chance, we need to become less vain. Lets stop photoshopping celebs and show what they really look like.

i remember hearing about someone doing the same thing. the phony doc gave a woman an injection that consisted of silicone from one of those window sealant things you put into a caulking gun and even put cement in there too.

Many good points made here such as who goes to a hotel for a cosmetic procedure? When are we as a country going to request personal responsibility from others? I am very tempted to lean toward everyone involved got what they wanted and then some. Quote Forest Gump, my apologies Forest, but stupid is as stupid does!! I am very sorry a person died due to this BS and others became ill but really now, how much of this falls into personal responsibility? If I want some cosmetic procedure and the person I contact tells me to meet them at The Hampton Inn and not say The Hampton Hospital.....I GET WHAT I DESERVE.
