Former Sen. John Edwards is denying a report that he was a client of the prostitution ring allegedly run by accused “Millionaire Madam” Anna Gristina while he was running for president.
The woman reportedly told authorities that Edwards paid her for sex during a 2007 visit to New York to raise money for his failed White House bid, DNAinfo reported Thursday.
Edwards' attorney on Thursday denied the allegation.
“Mr. Edwards categorically denies that he was involved with any prostitute or service,” said Allison Van Laningham, according to NYDailyNews.com.
“These allegations are false, defamatory, and he puts those who would publish or repeat them on notice that they acting with actual malice by reporting or repeating them," she told NYDailyNews.com. “He has demanded a complete retraction from the only source being quoted.”
DNAinfo reported that the prostitute provided a detailed account of her encounter with Edwards to investigators. No charges were brought in the case.
Edwards, 58, is facing a federal trial in North Carolina over allegations that he used campaign donations to cover up an affair he was having with videographer Rielle Hunter, with whom he later had a child. The politician was married at the time to Elizabeth Edwards, who was battling cancer. She died in December 2010.

If he denies this, why the publicity? I dont believe he would use the campaign funds for something so blatently stupid! No one running for the Presidency would do this idiotic thing! This is what ruins politicians, why would any one person say such a thing? Oh, i'll bet its for money? She probably thinks that since he had an affair, (one that he did admit to) she herself can proffit off him! I say, NO WAY!!! Dont let this greedy woman have anything!!!
Edwards denied the affair for a LONG time. Turns out that he was lying about that....is it possible he is lying again??
He's a politician. They lie even when the truth doesn't harm them ... just to keep in practice.
The point is.....Who cares if he paid for sex? And the guy above who likens this to democrats, is like saying that it is just typical for all republicans to pay for meth and sex with men because some promenent fraudulent preacher who was a outspoken republican did. Making this even remotely political is just stupid. What people do with their money and their genitals is their business. The guy as an azz, but being and azz is not illegal. Just a ginned up non story.

This is a pretty smart woman. Does anyone really believe she wouldn't make these accusation without any proof? Of course Edwards is going to deny it. Now watch how she releases tidbits of "proof" over the next few weeks to keep the story alive, and Edwards' memory starts to 'improve." This will all culminate into a 'tell-all" book, with promised revelations of kinky sex with high-powered politicians and wealthy businessmen, all of whom will have a reason to see her keep her mouth shut. Don't we love dirt like this?

I did not know that so many of you Men do not like SEX! Either with your wife or girlfriend, or with your self. Is there a law on the book saying that if you have sex while married your going to Hell or go to Jail? Do you dumb Men out there, that follow your woman friend, do you understand what they are trying to do, like this lady in Ohio, wants a law saying that Men should only have Sex to make babies, and not for recreation. That mean guys, if this pass your wife can say when and where you can have Sex and with whom, so you had better stop walking with her on the picket lines for Abortion rights, and worry about your rights as a Man, but most of you Men aren't Men.

LOL, didn't he deny his affair with Rielle too? And didn't he vehemently deny being father to Rielle's child? There seems to be no end to his denials. I say leave him alone because I think prostitution should be legal anyway. It is no one's business what goes on between too consenting people. He has enough troubles. I just wish he would stop lying. That is what is killing him, literally.

He has to know at this point no one believes anything he says or denies. He denied having an affair while his wife was struggling with Cancer. He denied being the father of HIS child.
It reminds me of the story of the little boy who cried wolf. Even if it's possibly not true, no one will believe him....

Hey!!! Who gives a damn!!! Really??? Really??? Just another white, male, political has been. Yeah he probably misused campaign money for his love child too, (while his cancer ill wife was supporting him in his bid for the presidency) its time for him to face the court and come clean.
If that was you or me we would have long been sentenced and been jailed for it. He just needs to face the court and take his punishment. Simple. Simple. Simple.
