George Zimmerman's dad says Travyon told his son, 'You're gonna die now'

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell shows newly tape of what Zimmerman's father says his son told him about the final moments before George Zimmerman killed him. Benjamin Crump, the head attorney for Trayvon Martin's family, and Natalie Jackson, co-counsel for the Martin family, share their reaction on The Last Word.

On FOX Orlando Wednesday evening, the father of the man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, said Martin attacked his son, saying, "You're gonna die now, or you're gonna die tonight."

“George was going to the store, and he saw someone in his community that he did not recognize as living there,” Robert Zimmerman, a retired judge, said.  “Because there had been a lot of break-ins in the area, he thought that was suspicious that someone would not be walking on the street or the sidewalk, but they'd be walking right behind the townhomes.”

Robert Zimmerman said that his son, George Zimmerman, 28, then called a non-emergency number to report this stranger. He lost sight of the teen as he looked for an address to report to police, Robert Zimmerman told the FOX affiliate.

“It’s my understanding that at that point Trayvon Martin walked up to him, asked him, ‘Do you have a – beep – problem?’ George said ‘No, I don’t have a problem’.”

The elder Zimmerman said that as his son started to reach for his cell phone, Martin, 17, punched him in the nose, knocking the larger man to the pavement.

For the first time, we are seeing what the shooter, George Zimmerman, looked like immediately after the killing of Trayvon Martin. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell gets analysis on the newly released surveillance video from ABC News correspondent Matt Gutman, Joy-Ann Reid, managing editor of TheGrio.com, Eugene O'Donnell, former NYPD detective and Richard Kurtz, funeral director who saw Trayvon's body.

“Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him, in the face, in his nose, hitting his head on the concrete,” Robert Zimmerman said.

That’s when Martin spotted George Zimmerman’s gun, Robert Zimmerman said.

“Trayvon Martin said something to the effect of, ‘You're gonna die now,’ or ‘You're gonna die tonight,’ something to that effect.”

When the interviewer asked about Martin’s girlfriend, who said that he told her that he was being followed, Robert Zimmerman said he didn’t believe her.

He replied: “I don't believe she was on the phone with him, and I find it very strange with the publicity involved with this that all of the sudden, after three weeks, someone would remember that they were on the phone. I believe the FBI and others investigating this will find that that did not happen.”

Trayvon Martin was shot in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and more witnesses are coming forward to describe what they saw. A 13-year-old who saw the shooting described seeing a man screaming on the ground before the gun went off. Cheryl Brown, the mother of the eyewitness, and attorney Alisia Adamson join Politics Nation.

The family of a 13-year-old witness told Al Sharpton Thursday morning a different perspective. Although he did not witness the shooting, he heard it and said that he heard crying and that when the gun went off, the whining ceased.

Zimmerman, a self-declared neighborhood watch volunteer, fatally shot Martin on Feb. 26 in what he called an act of self-defense. Within weeks, the story started drawing nationwide attention and Sanford, Fla. Police were accused of bungling the investigation for not arresting Zimmerman.

Zimmerman, meantime, is in hiding. His father told FOX Orlando that he is not doing well.

It sounds like George Zimmerman's been reading, "Tyler Perry's Guide to Writing Stereotypical Black Dialogue."

Of course this isn't true. It can't be.

Not only are black teenagers physically incapable of committing anything besides trumped-up acts of violence, but America's professional apologists have already decided on the latest bonfire around which to dance.

I've honestly never, ever, ever in my life have encountered a more stark oxymoron than the term 'liberal'. If there was a gun, or a brain among the lot of you, the ghosts of the Gestapo would be blushing.

Judge Zimmerman knows what a defendant should say to prove innocence. George has always gotten help from his Dad with his legal problems. This is common with legal people or police when they child gets in trouble. Judge Zimmerman worked with the State Attorney and Chief of Police to assure the fix was in. Let other criminals the Judge/Attorney/Police messed up and didn't get all the evidence and the lie doesn't fix. But now the Judge will have to look for favors in the DOJ this time.

How about those sweet law abiding students here in Miami "protesting" the shooting by staging an en mass walk out of class ... and then staging an en mass savage looting of the nearby Walgreens! Around 100 of the students gang rushed the Walgreens and started wildly looting it to "honor" Martin. Guess that's what Martin would have wanted, huh? The video is shocking (YouTube it). Yet oddly nowhere to be found on MSNBC or CNN...

and this is why 'stand your ground' is a horrible law. once a fist is thrown from both sides, they both have an excuse to murder the other. that is absurd! in any other place in the world we wouldnt be discussing whether the guy felt threatened or not, we would be talking about whether or not there is enough evidence to convict this guy of murder!

Zimmerman's story is falling apart. The police video of Zimmerman being taken to the police station on the night of the murder shows him without any cuts, bruises, bloody nose, or grass stains on his back. Also he did not have the appearance of a man that had been beaten as he claimed. That means that George Zimmerman is a liar along with his father the ex judge. Also proves that the officer that wrote the report also lied since he had Trayvon Martin's name on the report after indicating they never knew who he was. Meaning that the report was written days later to cover up their incompetence.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-zimmerman-video-20120329,0,7952997.story

"According to the Sanford police report on the night of the shooting, Zimmerman was bleeding from his nose and the back of his head when officers arrived at the scene. But the video, provided to ABC News by the city of Sanford, shows no obvious sign of blood or injury."

How more bizarre can this get. Next step the pope will cannonize Zimmerman and makes him a saint.

Well let American justice shows its real face here. Don't have much faith in that when you live in certain parts of the USA.

I suppose all of the brainiacs on here whing about "no ripped/bloody clothes" are aware his clothing was confiscated by the police, as were Martin's. It is pretty much doubtful the police interviewed him and then asked him to strip and go home naked. But you would know this if you read something called facts instead of something called conjecture.

It isn't known when the clothing was taken, but it seems doubtful the police wanted someone with blood on clothes walking around the station due to unsanitary condition. Would you want to sit there questioning someone with possible AIDS blood on shirt?.

Ok Cpt Kirk, why isn't his nose black and blue if it was broken as they claim?? I've seen people after they have broken their nose and it swells up and turns black and blue hours later. In some cases their eyes will even turn black around them. There are no bandages on his forehead or back of his head or on his nose that would indicate that his head was banged on the concrete severe enough to warrant treatment. Where's the hospital report to back up the story? If your nose if broken you have to go in for treatment and the police would have demanded it.

OK, everybody who has an ax to grind of a dollar to be made is going to spin this thing whatever way they think suits their aims, this includes the "journalists" on the project who are making money of "reporting" the "news." The smart thing to do here is to keep your cool and let the system work out this mess. With all the interest, there will be plenty of high octane crack for both sides to smoke but why be manipulated?

Let the evedence come out and decide which side tells the most believable story. At the end of the day when either the Grand Jury decides Zimmerman comitted no crime is tried on the merits of this case we will see how the system responds.

In the meantime keep your mind clear (and your power dry, 'cause this thing could get really stupid).

Hmmmm, Let's see if the morons on the right can figure out something. Where was Zimmerman when he had said altercation with Trayvon? Did the 17yo youth come up to Zimmerman's SUV and have an altercation with him? No. Did Trayvon PULL Zimmerman out of his SUV? No.

Zimmerman LEFT the security of his SUV, and proceeded to perform actions COUNTER to what the dispatcher told him THE POLICE DID NOT NEED HIM TO DO. Follow the suspect.

Zimmerman changed from good guy, to bad guy as soon as he left his car. He became the instigator of WHATEVER would happen after that act.
He will be found guilty of aggravated assault and homicide. If he doesn't take his own life before trial.

He is guilty as sin.

Well, I remember (before anyone said he didn't look bloody in any videos) one of the commenters saying he was taken to the fire department for first aid and to clean him up first. I do not personally know the details. But it does serve as an alternate explanation.

Alternatively, you could ask if the surveillance video—taken after Zimmerman received first aid with ABC’s GD logo obscuring Zimmerman’s face—is clear enough to prove anything. And wait to hear if Sanford police took photographs of Zimmerman’s injuries.

The quote is from www (dot) thetruthaboutguns (dot) com (slash) 2012 (slash) 03 (slash) robert-farago (slash) george-zimmerman-surveillance-video-was-he-injured. Clearly, I am not going to say that they are an unbiased source.

The video was authenticated by the city of Sanford public information office. Although it’s unclear what time it was taken, it was likely taken after Zimmerman was administered first aid at the shooting scene. [Emphasis mine]

This was taken from www (dot) miamiherald (dot) com (slash) 2012 (slash) 03 (slash) 28 (slash) 2719868 (slash) network-broadcasts-surveillance (dot) html.

Surprise, surprise, it looks like there is some dispute of the significance of the claim. Everybody is still interpreting this in favor of whatever he already thought. I am shocked; shocked, I tell you.

    Kimb:

Now we find the cops DID wish to charge him... but for the interference of the states attorney.

Yes they did -- as long as it was the state's attorney whose butt was on the line in the event that everything "went south." The prosecutor didn't want the responsibility of a case he could not win. Passing the buck, America's favorite national pastime.

    Larry:

I've seen people after they have broken their nose and it swells up and turns black and blue hours later.

Which still leaves a window consistent with what we see. Okay, here's my cynical side. The police could have removed any bandages once he was cleaned up enough to have an image that they liked. Kimb has already pointed out that they wanted him charged. And they control how their videos are collected. Can you imaging if they had taken a video with him obviously bloody or bandaged that the defense attorney could subpoena? Even if they only went for manslaugher, that gets you a sympathetic jury. Ah, but they didn't have to worry, because they could have him cleaned up before he was ever in range of that camera. Note: This is in no way proof of what they did do. But it is reasonably predictive of what they could be expected to do if they had to.

Al Sharpton should stay out of it---he's in everybody's business; a criminal himself---Twana Brawley.

Sharpton's mother just died about 3 days ago, and he's running around the Country calling Racism with the Rev. Jesse Jackson trying to start riots all over--the 2 hucksters are Professionals in "Shakedowns". They want money; leeching off this tragedy re: Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman's father doesn't know the details either. How did this murder become the biggest news story in America today--It just keeps growing like a snowball rolling downhill.

Americans are worried about their incomes, no income, homelessness, gasoline prices, and where there next meal will come from. Justice will be served. There are witnesses to Zimmerman's behavior and the behavior of Trayvon Martin at the scene. This story has rocked America again with the Racist Card.

Americans are not falling for the Racism Card in this case---it was a fight--that needs to be dissected and facts revealed as to why and who started it first.

The Media loves this case---Sensationalism at the cost of someone's life.

Zimmerman hasn't been arrested for the crime.. Zimmerman's father should stay out of this matter as well. He may be tainting the case against his own son---and so are the parents of Trayvon Martin.

I would tend to agree with you that Zimmerman's father should leave this be and let the system do its work. But he faces a condition where Martin's parent have been organizing a lynch mob. I think he has reason to try to counter that. Zimmerman's father held back for quite a while while Martin's parents were very active.

Oxymoron: A figure of speech producing a seemingly self-contradictory effect.

I used the term properly, and your attempt at an insult is about as limp and feeble as every other piece of liberal tripe which graces the mainstream media these days.

Your vile ilk is only 'liberal' (or, in deference to your limited vocabulary, progressive and/or enlightened) when it comes to ideas that have been approved by whatever committee of intellectual eunuchs you nominated for that given week.

You typify left-wing mindlessness, and if you think that you still own the monopoly on free thought, you're living in the wrong century.

Now there are 2 Zimmermans about to face felony charges ... Georgie boy for at least 2nd degree murder and daddyo for obstruction and interference in a criminal case. The FL state DA is most likely "offshore" vacationing until he can determine if he has a life to return to.

Daddyo doesnt seem to realize that the fight and the shooting occured in the common shared BACKYARD of a condo complex with many witnesses who were watching from their windows as they described what was happening just momments before and after the gun shot. Not one witness saw a car on the grassed backyard, and at least one was asked if she could see any cars. She couldnt and the fighting/death occurred in the shared, common back yard to numerous units.

As far as Treyvon's girlfriend and Treyvon talking within moments of his death, that has already been verified by the cell phone carrier for his cell phone. Great thing about cell phones ... every call is recorded in an itemized fashion PERMANENTLY, whether there it is covered by the plan or an extra charge. Land lines merely list the long distance called in an itemized fashion.

What needs to be compared is the time of that phone call ending and the time of those multiple 911 calls that occurred when that shot was heard. That will garner the time frame between Trayvon's call ending where she heard Georgie boy talking to Treyvon and when he died. Most likely, it will be merely moments since Georgie boy knocked Treyvon down, shot him when he was on the ground and moments after the shot was heard, some of the neighbors saw him stradling Treyvon's body. And Georgie boy thought he was the only one calling 911 ... definitely 4 aces shy of a full deck!!!

In another 911 call initiated just prior to the shooting, a woman stated that there were 2 men fighting in the backyard area. While she was reporting the screams for help, you can hear the shot in the background and the caller get very upset. The dispatcher asks her several questions which she answers and then describes the man on top as wearing a white T shirt. We know from Georgie boys 911 call that Treyvon was wearing a "dark hoodie", not a white T shirt.

Although they thought they has a witness in that 13 yr old boy, he never saw what happened, merely heard it and saw Zimmerman straddling the kid that he shot. Luckily there are 1/2 a dozen witnesses who did see through their bedroom windows and a few who ran out right after hearing that shot.

Now, back to the death scene ... how does Zimmerman maintain that Treyvon banged his head on the pavement since they were on a grassed common backyard area to many condo units????

I hope Daddyo forfeits his plush retirement with the obstruction of Justice and tampering with evidence charges he is about to be faced with and the revelation of complicity with the DA and the local police department.

Good Ole Southern Judge, is he? I wonder if his white sheet and cap are saved in his attic as a momento of the "good ole days".

He has more than the DoJ to try and find favors with, he has the FBI as well, and I do not believe they are in a friendly mood over this case.

It took 2 days of steam cleaning to get all the blood off the floor, 3 stitches to stop the bleeding and weeks of a swollen nose and over a week of "racoon eyes". If you do not see at least the swelling of the nose and eye area and bandages over the nose, then it wasnt broken right after the death of Trayvon Martin.

In the article above, dad says his son called a non-emergency number.

    Since when is 911 a non-emergency number..??

And then dad says that at the point he was on the phone searching for an address, Martin attacked Zimmerman while he was reaching for his cell phone....???

The judge needs a better story than the one he is telling.

not one of the things you said was accurate, such as there was not cement in the back, look at the photos, there is a cement path between the houses

The phone records have never benn released, The so called girl friend came foward not to the police but to the news 3 weeks after the incident

The dad of Zimmerman was is not impedding the investigation, we could say the same thing for all the yahoos that aree on TV for doing the same thing. All these so called Ear witnesess

They do have 2 eye witnesses that saw what happened that are not stupid and have not gone on TV to get there 2 seconds of fame like all these so called wanna be activists. Those 2 eye witnesess are the reason that Zimmerman was not charged and should not be charged.

It seams to me that everyone that thinks that this 17 yr old did nothing wrong and suporrt him, not one of you know the facts and have rushed to convict him so quickly, I bet everyone of you have gotten caught doing a crime and have blamed the cop for arresting you.

Before you write your comments do the research, there is a reason why he was not charged

forget the articles for a while and listen to all the 911 calls on this youtube video and listen to what the residents were saying moments before and moments after the shot that killed Treyvon was fired. It is a 35 min vidoe composed of all the 3 to 5 minute 911 calls, starting with Zimmerman's 911 call.

In the article above, dad says his son called a non-emergency number.

    Since when is 911 a non-emergency number..??

Open a phone book, there are at least two numbers listed for most call centers (911 dispatch) an emergency number 911 and a none emergency number for none emergency business, some even have a lot of different numbers for all sorts of things, including things like reporting barking dogs, loud noises and public disturbances, and even sometimes for Neighborhood Watches to use, depending on the area.

As a volunteer firefighter/EMT we have a special number to use instead of 911, so yes he could have call the 911 call center with out dialing 911, in fact that is most likely as he wasn't reporting an emergency, he was reporting suspicious activity (at least in his mind)

    Recycled Hope

That was your experience with a broken nose and it is very similar to what a lot of people experience with a broken nose, but that is not in every case. I have seen others with broken noses that were bent "way the h*ll over" that did not bleed and no major bruising, other did not get racoon eyes until the next day, and no major swelling.

there are 2 eye witnesses and the rest only heard. You need to check your facts. The 2 eye witnesses have not sta on TV making claims like the so called ear witness.

Like that short blond hair bimbo, I heard the screams but I was to affraid to look ou the window to see what was happening, if you listen to her 911 call she told dispatch "I don't know what is going on but I rear someone yelling help" when talking to CNN (now a month latrer) she said she knew who was doing the screaming . But at the very moment it was taking place she didn't know waht was going on becouse she was affraid to peek out. I have listened to all the 911 cals and what your saying is false, you need to listen agian

you need to also remember the facts everyone knows about is only about 1/10 of what would be presented in court if it goes that far.

remember everyone is judging based on facts that they do not know

as for zimmermans injuries. There is a photo, it has not been released and won't be until the investigation is complete.

In florida it is easy to get video and 911 calls that come from tax payers money but anyother evidence is not open to the public until trail if at all, so everyone is going off of facts that Zimmerman did something that non of you saw, heard, have no training to even comprehjand what took place

Most of you need to put your big boy or girl pants on and understand that listening to the news with Nancy Grace and alsharpten and all those other Yahoos only cause a rucus that is not suprroted by facts

Anyone that thinks the prominence of this story in the nation media is all about getting justice, should have their heads examined. There is an agenda behind this, pushing for some sort of desired political/legal precedent out-come, I guarantee it.

Those of you who are all caught up in this "Justice for Martin" mania, stop and think for just a minute. Why is this national news? Is it sad? yes.. Is it a bad thing that happened? yes.. BUT is it nationally important? Is this national headline material? Innocent people are murdered EVERY DAY!! Why aren't they national news headlines?

This situation has all of the same media/political earmarks as the Terry Schaivo ordeal. A local story blown up to epic national proportions, being paraded through the federal government like some sanctimonious freakshow. You people are being played... I don't know what the end-game for it is, but it's pretty obvious there's more to this than just "somebody shot somebody else and we want justice".

    airborne,

I am speaking the truth ... and if you listen to those 911 calls, at approximately 13 to 15 minutes into it, you will hear the woman who was watching until the gunshot decribe the white Tshirt of the male on top. If you listened to Zimmerman's 911 call, he explicitly states that Trayvon was wearing a dark hoodie, NOT A WHITE TSHIRT.

As far as the phone call Trayvon was on when he first noticed Georgie boy, that has been verified by his cell phone carrier and the media. Georgie didnt notice Trayvon was on the phone when he cornered him.

Trayvon was on the sidewalks when he first noticed Georgie boy and most likely ran to a backyard area to get away from his stalker. His body was face down on the grass where he was killed ... that is something the 13 yr old boy did see after he caught his runaway dog. It was also reported by the police that that they were on a grassy area, NOT CONCRETE OR ASPHALT. Considering that the vehicle Georgie jumped out of to chase the teen who was trying to get away from an unidentified stalker was still on pavement IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDINGS, how did Treyvon attack him while he was back at his car.

They need forensics to find that bullet in the grass to verify that Treyvon was indeed on the ground when he was shot. Given the point blank range used, that shot must have exited out of Treyvon and into the grassy ground. Rest assured if Zimmerman was shooting UP to "defend" himself, that bullet will not be buried in the ground, will it. Guess there is alot more proof to be "discovered" than Georgie and daddyo thought.

Depending on the ammunition used there may not be an exit wound, but if there is and it is found in the ground then you would be right, I can guarantee the police, FBI and Special prosecutors have thought of that, and if they had found that to be the case it would have come out by now.

A lot of people are experiencing the whole CSI effect on this case, and you can bet when it is all said and done there will still be people not satisfied with the results one way or the other, to bad this case couldn't be solved as fast as it's done on TV that is just not the real world we live in.

Threatened with such an awful fate, he had no viable alternative. All Captain Save-the-Neighborhood could do was shoot him. Wouldn't anyone with the desire to survive have done the same?

There is a saying that the Gun does not kill people, people Kill people and as a NRA member I firmly believe that, but I'll be honest with you all this has shaken my believe in the second amendment, here we had a 17 year old boy going out to purchase some snacks and ended up dead, the point is it could have been anyone kid and the problem I have is that Stand Your Ground law, I could see if it happened on a persons private property and the person was shot on that property, but a public sidewalk and worst of all no crime was being committed just a kid walking home, people say well it looks like he attacked Zimmerman well the problem I have with that is Zimmerman put himself into that position by over stepping his duties as a neighborhood watch person, yes there was no lawful command not to follow the kid but that does not negate the fact that he did and doing so cost that kid his life, it does not matter that the Kid may or may not have been kicking Zimmerman's azz, what started the whole mess was Zimmerman got out of his vehicle and was going to pursue the kid, It scares the hell out of me to think there are many people out there that have no common sense that actually own a firearm and don't know when it should be used, people here proves that beyond any doubt when they can defend something that is un-defensible and I hate to say this but maybe stricter gun control should be enacted and if this Snow balls to that point they have no one to blame but themselves, you can't stand behind something that was wrong there are consequences and everyone that has a gun that are responsible may very well lose that right because of people that can't be trusted to own them, really if you can't determine right from wrong you don't have the right to have something that dangerous I don't give a flying Fu_K what the Constitution says.

I have some actual questions about the video being shown. Are we sure this is from the night of the shooting? I read Zimmerman was brought in twice, could this be from the second time? I ask because of some things I see as inconsistent. 1) The police car appears bone dry, but we were told that it was raining that night. 2) One officer is wearing a windbreaker, but the other one isn't. Again, they both appear to be dry. 3) Zimmermans' demeanor, and that of the officers, seems pretty casual for just coming from a violent altercation. 4) The officer appears to be checking Zimmermans' pockets as if it's happening for the first time. I would think he'd have been checked on scene, unless he is coming in for a second time. Anyone else catch any of this?

The police did not take Zimmerman's clothes.

It's amazing the lies some of you will make up in vain attempts to prove a point.

Where would Zimmerman get a fresh pair of clothes between the homicide scene and the police station?

As much as the police love Zimmerman, they didn't take him shopping nor did they take him home to change clothes. Are you serious?

The police didn't take anything from Zimmerman, not even his gun. They didn't impound his vehicle. They didn't even perform a toxicology test. Zimmerman was not treated as if he'd just killed someone.

You really think people are patently stupid, don't you?

This video isn't in the National Enquirer. It was first obtained by ABC NEWS. Yes, it's the night of the homicide. Your observations of the "casualness" are spot on. That's the problem, isn't it? Everyone just a little too "casual" for an occasion that should be much more somber.

A 17-year old kid had just had his life taken. You'd think at least one person would reflect the seriousness of the occasion but no - not at all.

I'm assuming since they just thought this was some "ghetto thug" that didn't come from a good family, that they could cover this up and get away with it, because thats how they think of all black people. They didn't have an ID of this person, and he could have come from anywhere, I guess is what they were figuring. Apparently Martin's parents didn't know that he was dead until the next day. I question the context of the converstaion that has been reported between Matin and his girlfriend. I don't doubt it happened, but things do not add up. I have seen it reported but cannot verify that Martin's body was marked as a John Doe for 3 days. If he had the conversation claimed by his girlfriend, why didn't she sound the alarm when she didn't hear from him right away? If there is truely a John Doe case, I would expect that whoever took posession of Martin's phone would answer it to at the very least ask the caller who they were trying to contact. Even if this was not the case, would she have not tried either his father's house (who I beleive was out of the state) or his mother's house and tell either of them that Martin was being followed and now she can't get in touch with him? Something does not add up.

    Two things are certain.

    1. "Stand your ground" is bad law. It encourages the needless and unjust taking of human life.

    2. The organization that wrote peddles the "stand your ground" law is bad for society. A lawsuit by Trayvon Maritn's family might be appropriate, except for the fact that they'd be crushed by the powerful and mighty.

Slight verb tense change needed by your comment, #1.23.

It should be " Soon to be poor father" and "He knows that he screwed his son".

The judge knows that he may soon be indicted for obstruction of justice, as an accessory after the fact of the murder, civil rights violation and corruption along with his Sanford and Tallahassee accomplices.

Just shows that Sanford could be any small town in America where circumstances occur to test the integrity of elected and/or employed public service officials. If any of us were placed in the situation what would we do if we had the know how, legal connections, motive and personality to resolve his son's "problem" with a cover-up? I hope that most of us would not interfere with his son's commission of a felony. That would help to make America a better, more christian and just place for everybody.

If the judge had allowed justice to proceed, his son may have been charged with a lesser offense, such as, involuntary manslaughter. But once the cover-up is revealed, the son and father are going down and careers will be ruined for cover-up actors, at the minimum.

It may take a while, but Travon and his family will receive justice.

It is one of the many errors the police committed, which you would have known if you actually followed what has happened in this case.

The video from the police station makes it clear that Zimmerman is not telling the truth. Does not mean he is guilty, that is for a jury to decide. But it is time to come up with a story that actually matches the facts. Starting with why the DA would not honor the request of the homicide detective on the scene to issue an arrest warrant for Zimmerman. Time to check the call logs to see who called who to get strings pulled, since the police on the scene did not believe the self defense story.

His head was clean shaven too. No racoon eyes when he was supposed to have a broken nose, aren't broken noses supposed to bleed? I am starting to think the father is worse than the son, and that friend Joe is worse than the two combined.

Let's not get spun by all of the spin coming out of this story a drip at a time. Plenty of time to get the competing stories out and there will be evidentuary support for the best version of the "truth." We will have a good idea what went on that evening; but, we do have to wait for the complete stories to come out - and they will - too much interest for this to get swept under the rug.

          Frank:

His head was clean shaven too.

Don't you think that's rather odd? Consider the other photos the media have been showing. Does it look like head is usually shaved? And the media haven't exactly been spinning this to his favor. We are given that the police wanted him charged. They weren't going to collect imagery that would make a jury sympathetic. If he was bleeding out the back of his head, that would need to be cleaned up. But that would require shaving at least that portion of his head to get at the injury properly. But even with an image like that, a good defense attorney could use it to make a jury sympathetic while getting it admitted on the grounds that it is "evidence of the injuries that justify self-defense.) But, if they shaved his whole head. It doesn't look sympathetic at all.

So Trayvon threatened Zimmerman? Trayvon was going to kill the whale with the bag of Skittles? Or was the choice of weapon the can of iced tea? Neither one would be a very good choice against a whale with a gun.

I have seen pictures of cops bringing a prisoner to jail and never have I seen the cops being so nonchalant as the cops that brought Zim to jail. They seemed to be big buddies.

There is a TV series about cops bringing people to jail-- I think it is something like Las Vegas Jailhouse. It follows them from the time they bring the prisoner to the station through booking. None of this buddying.

Why would he need a good defense attorney to get him off???? Obviously you think he is guilty to???? Be careful, your comments put you in the same league as Zimmerman!!!

            #2.20 - Thu Mar 29, 2012 4:31 AM EDT

Trayvon was supposed to be walking back from the store after getting a drink and a snack. Why then when he did not return didn't dad go looking, callt he police, the hospitals, the morgue, his friends and girlfriend? He didn't that night, next day, next night etc..?? Why? Neither did mom or any other family, why??? The girlfriend was supposedly on the phone and was told what was going on. After the phone was out of his hand and the scuffle on-going what happened to the phone? Could the battery have went dead? Could it have broken and been left inoperable in the scuffle?? Sounds kinda reasonable considering how easily cell phones are broken. What about the girlfriend? Her guy is in a fight for his life and she doesn't call his parents, friends, police or hospital either?? Somethings pretty wrong with that picture. Why does a parent let his child who has been suspended from school go out at night alone anyway? Wouldn't most parents ground their kid for this?? I know mine wouldn't step a foot out of the house had he been suspended especially if it was suspension #3??, and he's the same age as trayvon. Where is the parental responsibility in this situation? Was dad even at the girlfriends house at the time? Have heard comments saying he wasn't. What kind of mom looks for financial gain from patenting her deceased childs name? The esteemed Revs in the picture getting a cut of that action??? Spike getting the movie rights??? Why are the parents asking fo a gag order out of one side of the mouth and planning and marketing merchandise out of the other??

Some of you all think your experts on what physical injuries will look like and claim Zimmerman didn't look injured. NOt all broken noses bleed profusely nor do all cuts and scrapes. Zimmerman was also treated at the scene by para medics BEFORE the police station. Having had a child have a broken nose and holding her hand a day later when the physician reset it I know what it looks like and she didn't get black eyes but one hell of a lot of pain. Had a parent get a broken nose in a car accident as well. Neither one hand bandages on them until the physican set the noses and casted them. Where do any of you get off assuming the step-father and retired judge is automatically a liar?? That is just BS. NOne of you have on lick of proof of that. Just your ASSumptions. Pretty much all anybody has at this point is assumptions and its sick and disgusting to judge without due process. If any of you were in trouble you certainly would be raising high hell if you were being prejudge and denied the presumption of "innocent until proven guilty". So glad your all such experts at reviewing tapes etc.. that you don't even have 1st hand access, just reproductions of reproducions aired on a computer screen.

You all want to call Zimmerman a vigilante and then turn around and expect to be allowed to be vigililantes, public judges and executioners. Think your worse than you say he is. Then you all are stupid enough to beieve everything thats reported by thr media. They're out to sell a story and the truth doesn't matter much at all to them. And apparently to a lot of you jokers posting here too!

Well Zimmerman had 1 month to fine-tune his fictional story with his dad. Wait a month, and Zimmerman would say that he was minding his own business when Martin chased him down and started to beat him up. And Martin threatened Zimmerman saying he has a knife.

No, I am talking about the predictable mindset of police that want him charged. They are going to want to avoid any possibility of a sympathetic jury. And enough innocents have been convicted because their trial attorney wasn't good enough. (I'm talking about the ones that are eventually lucky enough to be able to prove their innocence.) Sad to say, the innocent need an attorney more than the guilty.

I notice that you left out the obvious choice of his fists. And Martin likely did not know that Zimmerman had a gun. If Zimmerman had no gun he would probably be dead now -- not from the bag of Skittles, not from the iced tea, but from Martin beating him to death. In order to make your appeal to ridicule, you have to leave out the likely scenario.

@Pvblisvs IF zimmerman stayed in his vehicle like a good block watcher he wouldn't need draw a gun. "Likely scenario"....pure unadulterated bull@!$%#.

OBVIOUS CHOICE to kill...fist..YEP, thats why the armies the world over give their soldiers boxing gloves.

Suspicious activity-call it in, wait in vehicle, observe....

BTW if zimmerman wants to confront 'suspects' he should have taken appropriate training in self-defense. And to my knowledge following suspects on foot is not recommended for block-watchers.

Another scenario....zimmerman is a nobody, daddy is somebody. Wants to prove his worth, be a hero. Picks on someone (what a bully) and gets his ass kicked (assuming zimmerman is being truthful about the broken nose, head-bashing and attack). Can't face his own uselessness and losing the battle, so shoots and kills.

We can all put our own spin on it.

Drs. will shave an area on the head if necessary to clean and stitch a wound. A broken nose generally doesn't get a bandaid and doesn't necessarily bleed all that much. It will get casted to hold in place if the Dr. needs to set it in place to heal. And Jo An you do NOT know for a fact that he never went to the hospital or Dr. office so get over yourself already! Appearing on NBC's TODAY on Thursday, Zimmerman's attorney Craig Sonner described the video as "very grainy." He also pointed out that Zimmerman had been "cleaned-up" and received first aid in the four hours between the incident and Zimmerman's videotaped arrival at the police station.

First aid is NOT the hospital, and it's been reported FROM THE BEGINNING that he didn't go to hospital!

The funeral director who oversaw slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin's burial says he saw no signs of a fight on the body.

Richard Kurtz says he prepared the body for interment and saw no marks on Martin's hands, face or body other than the gunshot wound that killed him.

                http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gGCCGztgRfAVA8-Ndynl8ub4eNzw?docId=e6adcfe953a54da9abe5e8795ada4718

What also doesn't make sense if Zimmerman is claiming that his head was getting bashed into the concrete and his nose is broken why didn't he go to the hospital? I have to call BS on that. Paramedics would have not just cleaned him up and give him a clean bill of health. When you hear "head bashing into concrete until he barely becoming unconcious", first thing as a first reponder/paramedic is to place the individual on backboard and place a C-Collar on his neck. You worry about neck and head injuries. You worry about head bleeds inside of brain. Now I'm hearing from Zimmerman's brother that Martin tried to grab Zimmerman's gun? Really? The longer this keeps going on, the more Zimmerman keeps padding his so called story.

Zimmerman was treated at the scene by paramedics and released. That would mean they cleaned up all the blood and stopped his nose from bleeding. Oh I'm sorry, these facts don't fit your little story of how an innocent 17 year old pot smoking teenager who was walking behind the townhomes, not on the sidewalk, was shot for no reason. He was treated by EMT's at the scene before being transported to the police station, that would have cleaned up most of the outward signs of the attack. Now if photos were not taken at the scene before this happened someone's azz should be on the hook, that would be inexcusable to say the least.

were the paramedics carrying around bleach to get the blood stains out of his shirt?

As a former Medic for 12 years the answer is yes we have wipes for that and yes he could have used them, also there is no telling how much his nose bled or weither any got on his cloths, as for the grass on his back, it was some time between the shooting and when he was seen on the tape at the station, so yes his shirt "could" have dried and grass swept off, and any pictures??????????

When police are waiting to bring someone to the station, they aren't concerned with how their clothes look. As soon as he was checked out, he would have been stuffed.

As to how much got on him it is unknown, also it was said in one report that Zimmerman went to hospital next morning for treatment, I can guarantee they have a report of injuries they treated, that should come out as evidence.

                raddave

Where can I get these wipes that clean blood out of clothes. It would come in handy with a small child in the house

I have one in front of me right now that my wife bought at the store, Shout and most of the stain removal brands make them, not to mention a lot of different commercial products available to the medical community.

Lets be blunt, the video post on line is not the best quality and if Zimmerman injuries were treated at the scene then they may not appear obvious on the tape, also there had better be scene photos or all bets are off.

A lot of people have already "picked" a side, regardless of the out come of any inquest one side or the other is going to cry foul unless all evidence is put for everyone to see. The other thing that will cause problems is the fact that politicians including Obama have taken a side in this, which could lend credence to one side or the other claiming unfairness, the officer in the story of the 13 year old witness already expressed that there is at least some pressure being put on those doing the investigation. Any lawyer worth his salt could claim Zimmerman can never get a fair hearing any where after the POTUS expressed his views on the matter and sided with the family of Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman's lawyer probably did cartwheels when that came out.

Also for the cut on the back of Zimmerman's head it could have been sealed with liquid suture, basically super glue in an ampule that is in a small card board tube with a mesh at the top, it would only be a temp fix.

That would account for not being able to see it on the tape, which is not very good and was edited together, that in it's self makes it easier to show, but does open the door for speculation. Who ever got the first copy of the tapes had to splice the two parts together because I can guarantee the camera system didn't record it that way, ie switching between cameras like that.

At one point on the tape you can see one officer checking the back of Zimmerman's head, it would be nice to hear what he saw.

The one thing the tape does do is dispel the myth that Zimmerman was so much bigger than Trayvon in the weight category, and only proves Trayvon was much taller than Zimmerman and had a size advantage, being taller and both close to the same weigh as Zimmerman is in no way possible 250#, OOPS

robbob and Dman-i dont know where u worked as a medic but u must not have seen much trauma.

New Orleans and most of the state of Louisiana, and Northwest Washington, and in that time to say that the number of cases is in the thousands is in no way extreme, N.O. charity hospital was called the zoo back in those days because there were times when there could be over 50 major trauma cases in there at any one time.

I have had and seen plenty of broken noses in my life and they are not always as bloody as TV and Movies make them out to be, my son wrestles and bloody and even broken noses happen there a lot and they can be stopped rather quickly, some time in way less than a minute. There is no way of knowing how bad the break was or how much it bled, except through direct examination, which will be in the medic reports and any hospital reports where he received treatment.

Not relevant but a old "medics" trick to stop nose bleeds is to roll gauze in to a small roll and place between upper lip and gums then push against it from the out side and that will stop the blood flow almost instantly.

the face, as u should know being one of the most vascular areas of the body bleed profusely when injured

Cause all of the noses blood flow runs through that area and direct pressure is the best treatment to stop blood flow as you should know.

I just want to be clear the video is not clear enough to say one way or the other, and if there are not clear photos of the before medics treated and cleaned him up someone's azz better be offered up on a platter, because that should not have happened. As a Medic my first concern is treating the injuries, but also for preserving evidence, we did it all the time, there was even a part of our training to cover that.

As a medic with a lot of experience would know ecchymoses (bruising) doesn't always present immediately or even sometimes in the first 12 hours or more after an injury. Anyone who has ever bumped themselves and had a bruise show up later knows this, so to answer your statement as a experienced medic the answer is no it may not show up on that video.

I have had my nose broken before, bad enough to eventually need surgery to fix the sinuses, and it barely bled. And I didn't get the racoon eyes either, just a little bit of swelling and the distinctive broken nose bump. Each person is different.

But here is what I would say. I am not taking any sides, but it seems to me that a kid is not so innocent if they have been suspended from school. IF a neighborhood was truly safe, there would be NO NEED for a neighborhood watch. IF there were all these supposed witnesses that heard a fight and did NOTHING to break it up or what have you, that tells me ALOT about that neighborhood. That this story has even become what it has become is sickening. There are crimes committed by blacks against whites DAILY and no outrage. There are murders committed by children and there is no outrage whatsoever. There are RAPES against woman committed by a whole host of races v races and no public outcry or even a "whimper" from the "black caucus" in Washington when the crime involves a black versus white victim. How soon we forget the Beltway Sniper Case, and all those WHITE folks being gunned down. Didn't hear a peep outta Sharpton, the Black Caucus, or even THEN Congressman Obama. In fact didn't hear squat, other than support for Chuck Rangel when he committed tax fraud, and quite honestly organizations like the NAACP, the black Caucus and even the Sharpton/Jackson crew sure are "racist" when they won't take the same stand, complain or raise hell when it is a WHITE person on the short end of the stick. No, that would almost be too much... People of color, can be and ARE just as racist as a white guy. To paint the picture as one sided as it has been shows what the fabric of these people truly are.

In the end, there is a dead kid and a guy that shot him. Both families are suffering from this altercation. There are always 3 sides to any story. The story of the 2 people involved and the truth. And unfortunately ALL of us are suckers to anything other than the truth. What would be interesting to see is IF there was a security camera that caught this action on tape, and the KID is shown to have taken a swipe at the guy, I wonder how fast all those "poor poor black kid" activists would be to recant their position. Likewise if that footage showed the shooter to have been a maniac, how many would be willing to jump on the band wagon to watch him swing. But either way, murders happen in this country on a daily basis. In the end, the accused will always have more rights than the victim, and no one will remember the names 2 weeks later...

                @ Dman:

Is that the worst you can come up with to assail Trayvon's character?

"He was a pot smoking teen". lol.

Half the teens I went to school with in the late 80's had tried pot by 16 years old.

A large segment of the population smokes pot, and they aren't violent criminals.

Alcohol users, on the other hand, lean towards violence and belligerence.

You failed at trying to portray Martin as a criminal, just because he might have smoked pot.

Why are you crusted POSes making up excuses for this other POS???? Coulda, woulda, shoulda! Coulda being a sifi movie and Treyvon will appear any minute now and tell us it all is a bad joke. That has about as good a chance of happening as all the lies and innuendos being thrown about. You are some pitiful people. This Zimmerman fool is a sociopath and a danger to society and he should be locked up for that alone. Please, no more excuses, lock his azz up!!!

                Rob,

None of your clean up with wipes makes sense especially from the destruction of evidence stand point.

Zimmerman is claiming a beating so severe his was in fear for his life and had to shoot Martin to save it. This video totally contradicts his claim indicating in many ways that this man was not the victim of a recent serious beating. The man is a flat out liar given the video evidence.

Head wounds bleed profusely so his jacket and clothing would have been covered with blood. The idea that the police cleaned him up so completely that there is not even a drop of blood before taking him to the station is absurd or at least evidence that the police were not doing their job correctly.

                Culheath

Your right head wounds can bleed profusely, but that also depends on how severe the wound is, the word wound is also generic in nature when used in police reports vs actual medical reports, was it a indention with a small amount of opened skin, or a long laceration. If it was a long laceration then yes it would have bled profusely, on the other hand if it was just a small skin tear then no it may not have bled much.

One picture one the internet does appear to show a horizontal/diagonal line on Zimmerman's head that may be the wound, it could be just a contusion that did not bleed.

                http://www.occidentaldissent.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Zimmerman-ABC-video-enhanced-caption.jpg

I don't know about anyone else but it wouldn't take much head being bashed on to the ground for me to think I was endanger of severe bodily harm, thats just me though, no idea to what extent Zimmerman went through.

thanks to video from SPD the night of the shooting, we can clearly see that Zimmerman is not injured in any noticable way. after stepping out of the police car unaided, Zimmerman does not seem to suffer from any physical discomfort in any way. his head does not look scraped or bruised. his nose does not appear injured. there is no blood on Zimmerman's clothing. in fact, Zimmerman's clothing appears to be in perfect condition after his 'fight' with TM. his shirt is perfectly tucked in. his jacket appears clean. nothing is stretched, ripped, or disheveled in any way. this casts doubt on all of Zimmerman's and the police statements about this case.

                  smells like a cover up.

And considering he supposedly shot someone at close range, he seems remarkably unemotional about it. Sort of what you'd expect from a cold blooded killer feeling pretty confident.

Has anyone seen the date/time stamp on the SPD video? Easy to check who was talking to who on the phone - so that is easy to validate. If we are going to use the past problems of one - then we must use the past problems of the other - only fair. Now we find out the SPD recommended he be charged but the State's Attorney declined - Yet the politicos wanted the Police Chief out. Seems to be the Police Chief and his team did their job. So, let's get him back on the job.

There is not a drop of blood on Zimmerman.

If Trayvon was straddling Zimmerman when Zimmerman shot Trayvon, TRAYVON'S blood would be all over Zimmerman.

What - Did the police let Zimmerman go home, shower and change his clothes before they took him to the police station???????

                  WHERE'S THE BLOOD????????????

Exactly! And Zimmerman does not have a mark on him. Not only that, if he was hurt, paramedics would have insisted he go to the hospital and be checked out. Especially if there was a suspected head injury.

Paramedics, hospital, never been punched in a fight? I think rarely you need to see medical attention after the fight is over, at least you get KO or hit with a blunt object.

Zimmerman washed up and changed his clothes, he even drank a beer.

A Keltec 9mm gun like the one used with Tray having a hoodie on would bleed out depending exactly where but it would not cause a blood explosion like in the movies. And with infamlous Hoodie on the Blood really may not come out much at all. Depending where shot at close range there can actually be very very little blood from shooting victims. I saw to many dead to count in Afghanistan from some high caliber weapons and not every one ended up in a pool of blood or see them just explode, And that was with much higher caliber ammo then a 9mm. So there really may be no blood on him. Question is where are the marks on back of his head

Zimmerman was treated and released by paramedics at the scene. They would have cleaned up all the blood on him and stopped the bleeding from his head and nose before releasing him....that's what treated and released means....DUH!! Oh I'm sorry, these facts don't fit your little made up story. I guess you don't believe Trayvone was a pot smoker either. Maybe a "WHITE KID" planted that empty bag of weed on him. Yeah...thats the ticket.

There would have been blood on his clothes though. Zimmerman's nose was supposedly broken. It did not appear to be swollen in the video. And, you can't just wipe blood from hair. Or, are you saying the medics washed, rinsed and blew his hair dry for him?

I've seen you post this several time now and it's making you look stupid and bias. I have also noticed you fail to bring up Zimmerman's past troubles with the law. You know the fighting with police . Again you look VERY bias. For one you are buying into only one side for the story. Why is that? Oh let me use your own words "Oh I'm sorry, these facts don't fit your little made up story."

Also you have no proof he was a pot smoker he only had an empty bag that had residue and even if he was that doesn't make him violent in fact it probably makes you just the opposite unlike fighting with cops which is indeed a violent act. But you don't have a clue other than he was a black kid do you? As for why he wasn't on the sidewalk perhaps you should read ALL of the facts and not just Zimmermans. He was taking a short cut to his house because it was raining. Kids do it ALL the time nothing strange there. but "Oh I'm sorry, these facts don't fit your little made up story."

And as far has the paramedics cleaning him up they certainly don't do their laundry and as other have pointed out, and if you have ever seen anyone with a broken nose you would know, he would have had blood probably all over his shirt. And Paramedics LOVE bandages but for some strange reason didn't use a single one on Zimmerman.

You are obviously racist and dumb as a rock.

OK, DMAN, just show us the paramedic's report and you can be on your way.

What, no paramedic's report listing Zimmerman's injuries that can support your theory? Maybe that you and that white kid who's planting evidence your little skit smoked all that weed, planted the near empty bag on Trayvon, then made up a set a facts to fit YOUR story.

And, sorry, even if Trayvon did smoke weed like Wllie Nelson, Kevin Smith, Bill Mahr, Bill Clinton, Woody Harelson, James Franco AND Seth Rogan, Steve Jobs and John FREAKING Kennedy and all the other white people you can think of COMBINED... still is no justification for Zimmerman to shoot him. Even if he blew a big bone in Zimmerman's face till he got the munchies... nope, sorry, still will get your azz thrown in jail (well, at least if you're not a special little white kid with Daddy's hedge around you when you get in trouble)

DMAN, why dont you stick to your normal trolling routine and blame something assinine on Obama.

Just wait, the evidence will come out on this story and one version will be more likely than the other. At that time we can decide what we want to believe. No point in letting these media stories get us all in an uproar as they dribble out information bit by bit (for profit). Of course if you want to spin - then just have a seat and take the ride, it's a free country.

the information that he was treated at the scene came from.....the police and Zimmerman. I have not seen any published accounts of actual EMTs on the scene treating Zimmerman's 'injuries'. we all know that police NEVER lie, and most of the 'facts' in this case came straight from Zimmerman's mouth.

you guys can keep pushing that 'he was treated on the scene' line if you want. but I don't believe a word of it.

Actually that information came from local news crews at the scene shortly after the incident, and it is against the law to release medical reports, its call HIPAA laws and you wont ever see those medic reports outside of a court room. Now of this whole story did not hit the national scene for 3 weeks after the incident, it was covered locally by several different news agencies when it happened. google them you might learn something.

This is the worse spin ever. So the father is a retired Judge. Is that a reason to speak for his son ? Doesn't his son speak English ? All he says is hear-say and he knows that that is not admitted in court. But he is trying to torpedo the mater so that a mistrial can be declared. May be, since he is so loquacious, he can explain why his son has a weapon and how he got it.

I also don't buy that he is Hispanic, he may be multinational (partially Hispanic) but Zimmerman is a Germanic last name, nothing Hispanic about it. I think they are trying to dilute his whiteness, as they do with Obama to turn him 100% Black, when everybody knows is just 50%.

Zimmerman's father is white, presumably of Germanic origins, hence the last name.

Zimmerman's mother is Peruvian or of Peruvian ancestry.

You are quite correct that Zimmerman's father's statements would be inadmissable in court. So, too would be much of what is said here to stir up hatred against Zimmerman -- including the arrest record. His statements are only useful for defusing the lynch mob. Oh, and Zimmerman himself would probably be dead if he made a public appearance with that bounty on his head. Just sayin'.

There is no way Zimmerman was beaten severely as his father describes. The video of him at the police station shows that. This is just bull and more attempts to discredit a dead man who can't speak for himself. The Mother who's son was a witness is much more credible than this father who was not there. Such bull, I'm so sick of this.

They clean up the blood to find the injury and bandage it for later assesment at a hospital but leave all blood stains intact for testing in a criminal case. We dont see a cut or dried blood in this video, and if his nose was broken there would have been blood on his shirt front instead of just plain green tshirt like we see. His head is clearly visible, no marks or cuts there either.

Zimmerman is a murderer who called his crooked judge dad to save him from the innocent black child he just killed. He was called out by the lead investigator that night and the investigator was over ruled. Why is that? Seems the Legal system was set up in the aim of protecting the Judges son, but they also ignored video evidence of an Officers son beating a black homeless man so really no suprise there.

Zimmermans pappy is a tall tale telling sack of ish. Zimmerman, his bottom Joe Oliver, and the Sanford PD just got CAUGHT IN A LIE. Talking about he had a broken nose, a head gash, and grass on his back. Does Zimmermans father really want to add to the lies and make zimmerman look worse (if thats possible)? He now is just trying say anything and everything to try and salvage what little defense his son had which the tape show WAS A STRAIGHT UP LIE. ZIMMERMANS PAPPY MAY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET HIM OUT OF THE DOMESTIC ABUSE, RESISTING ARREST WITHOUT VIOLENCE, AND RESISTING ARREST WITH VIOLENCE CHARGES AS A JUDGE. BUT, HE WILL NOT BE GETTING HIS SON OUT OF THIS ONE!

zimmerman says he shot Martin while Martin was on top of him. Shouldnt blood at least have dripped on ZImmerman? and for a guy in a fight for his life- he walks fine. he is breathing through his nose( trauma to the nose would have one breathing through their mouth) since his mouth is closed, and he shows no remorse.

and that threat on zimmerman's life is not to be heard on the tapes...

lies on lies. i just dont know who lied more the cops or ZImmerman

If Zimmerman said he acted in self-defense, he didn't do himself any favors by cleaning up the 'evidence'.

If he really was beatened, he should've gotten as many close-up pictures of his wounds to help prove his case.

Maybe they (team Zimmerman) thought this wouldn't be getting the attention it is, and made the mistake of 'sweeping it under the rug'.

Now that the cat's out, it's turned into a disinfo/smearing campaign.

Sorry Georgie, I was pulling for you until I found out who your dad was, and the kind of influence he had in helping to reduce your prior charges.

Sadly, I don't think there will be a fair trial for TM because of the apparent corruption within the Sadford PD and a Bush at the helm. And while I don't agree with the BP bounty, the fear GM will have to live with in hiding is probably the only satisfaction the Martin camp will ever have.

I don't even want to guess what the reaction will be if there's a mistrial or he is acquitted...but it seems no matter the outcome...the results will be a greater divide.

Just saw the video from the police station. Zimmerman did not appear to have anything wrong with his nose, there were no visible wounds on the back of his head, no visible blood on his clothes, and no grass stains or dirt on his jacket. How is that possible if Zimmerman was punched in the nose, was on the ground fighting for his life, and shot someone at close range? I have had a broken nose and it hurt to move my head in any direction but especially up and down even after meds. Conclusion?-Zimmerman lied about just about everything.

This case is so convoluted that any chance of a fair trial(should there even be an arrest) is impossible. The police bungled this case badly. The media is making it worse.

Supporters of both sides aren't helping. Pops is lying out of his teeth if you compare his story to the 911 tapes. Spike Lee was a dumb@ss for posting an address that didn't even go to the real Zimmerman. In fact, he shouldn't have posted an address to begin with. What was his motive for that?

This investigation needs to be handled by actual investigators, not speculative media. Unfortunately DOJ and the FBI had to get involved because of a touchy law, and an inept police department.

Wrong. This case is twisted by the way the facts and evidence are coming out through the media - a drip and a drop at a time. There will be plenty of opertunity to cross check the facts in this matter with the physical evidence as it comes to the Grand Jury (or at trial should it come to that). Don't take the ride brothers and sisters, this thing is a media hustle at this point. Wait and decide when the evidence is all in.

I thought the police wanted to charge & arrest Zimmerman. It was the district attorney who said no - just drop it.

A phone call from judge dad perhaps..??

I think I know what you mean, San. Eyewitness testimony gets harder and harder to accept the longer it's been since the incident, and differences of perspective can be stark. However, I think that eyewitness testimony is the best possible proof, and the cornerstone of any legal case. We need to hear what people think they saw in order to seek some semblance of truth.

Again, I agree that 20 people see 20 different things. The question we must ask is, "what were they all witnessing?"

Pappa Zimmerman's son is alive. Trouble is he murdered a young man. So, sure, what do you want the father to say? There is a whole lot of spinning going on here. It seems Zimmerman was very afraid. And, when someone is very afraid, they do stupid things. However, I don't believe that fear is a justification for murder. Zimmerman was not in his home defending his home from unlawful entry. He, by his own admission was stalking another human being because he was afraid of him. Let's call it what it is: murder. Having indulged in this, this matter needs to go to a grand jury and get resolved by our legal system. Two people know what happened. One is dead and the other should be tried for unlawful killing. If Florida's law somehow allows this sort of stuff to go on, that law needs to be changed asap.

Actually fear for your liefe is justification to kill someone according to the law.

Let the FBI handle this one, or at mininum the FLA State Police. Drug test Traymore's body and his father and mother and Zimmerman via hair samples.

If he was so fearful, he wouldn't have chased Martin in the first place. I'm sure he's sacred now, but I doubt he was scared at the time.

Plantsmantx, You could tell from the 911 tapes he was being a drama queen. And now it seems he's being a regular "daddy's girl." I'd bet money this isn't the first scrape daddy's gotten him out of. I don't believe he was afraid and I believe he figured on daddy bailing him out. Again.
