Florida funeral home shooting: 2 dead, at least 12 injured

MIAMI -- At least one gunman opened fire on a crowd or mourners gathered at a Miami-area funeral home, killing two people and injuring 12, authorities said.

The shooting happened Friday night at Funeraria Latina Emanuel in the North Miami area. More than 100 people were gathered outside the funeral home when a car drove by and at least one person inside the vehicle fired shots, reportedly with a high-powered weapon, the Miami Herald reported.

"Horror, it was horrible and it was sounds of horror," said pastor A.D. Lenoir of Westview Baptist Church, NBC 6 Miami reported.

Lenoir had just finished officiating the service for 21-year-old Marvin Andre, who was killed in a March 18 shooting, according to witnesses. He was buried at nearby Southern Memorial Park Saturday morning

Among the injured was a 5-year-old girl, McKayla Bazile, according to authorities.

"I grabbed her so we could go and she was screaming and I'm like 'why are you screaming,' I thought she was scared," said Someta Etienne, WSVN-TV reported. "Then I saw the blood coming from her pants."

Alvaro Zabaleta of Miami-Dade Police said that it is too early to determine the motive for the shooting.

"Whenever you have these types of services, you have a lot of people present, they all become witnesses," Zabaleta said. "Too early to tell what the motive may be and if the person in the viewing has anything to do with it."

An eyewitness told NBC 6 that a suspect in a white Pontiac opened fire on people as they waited outside for their turn to view the body.

"I was in the foyer, shaking hands, galvanizing with the people and shots were fired," said Lenoir.

Police were looking for six men who were in a white 2006 or 2009 Pontiac or Impala, according to WSVN-TV.

NBC 6 Miami contributed to this report.

Keeping it real though....and not to say that it is or will always be exclusive to people of color, but the bigot above may have a point. He took it too far, of course. Perhaps in the form of a question (why does this seem to happen at....etc.) would have made the point less offensive?

Where are Mr. Sharpton, Mr. Jackson, the ALCU, the DOJ, and Mr. Obama on this shooting ?

If comments, marches, and protests are made in one case.....DO IT FOR EVERYONE.

And here comes the gun comments.....5..4..3..2..1..0.

It doesn't matter if you ban weapons completely in the U.S., which a lot of Liberals would like, the "thugs", "gang members", and "others" are going to get them anyway.

At the risk of sounding racist i have to agree. From my experiences and information networks i tend to notice more of this particular type of activity coming from certain ethnicity's than others. I'm sure its not a absolute color problem. Just that the minorities, particularly these ethnicity's, travel different paths as they grow up. Its almost more of a social divide than a racial divide.

Find the problem of why teens and family's are traveling down such roads of destitute and fix that first. That will keep these individuals from joining a life of crime and gang society, which leads them to acts like this.

It happens in many places. I used to live in a major city in the northeast and worked nights. If you sat by an open window, you'd hear gunfire occasionally and it never made the news. A 14 year old relative of a co-worker was caught in the crossfire of a drive-by while in her front yard and was brought into the hospital where I worked. The docs saved her but they had to remove her spleen. This didn't make the news, either. Horrible!!!

Well, when was the last time you heard of this happening at the funeral of a white person? Maybe there's no statistics, but there's also not much reporting that I can recall, but it seems to be something that happens in more of the "gangbang" type cultures?

Maybe all the police had been diverted to crowd control at the Martin Rally. Wonder if any of these folks looked like Obama's son?

Irresponsible gun owners and gun sellers are a real issue. And the fact there is not sufficient information gathered as to the mental fitness or validity of buyers. Anyone without a criminal record can purchase as many weapons as they like and sell them privately with little to no consequences as to the buyer. Nearly every single gun used to commit a crime was once a legally sold weapon. How did so many weapons get transferred to the non law abiding? Why is it there are so many weapons so readily available to criminals? Of all makes and magnitudes? Largely because the NRA and Far Right have made it impossible to properly restrict gun sales or the types of weapons sold.

And if our society were to collapse (which is a point we should not even be near) sure it would help to own a gun to defend yourself but that isn't really a world worth living in anyway. Who wants to live in a world where the paranoid and insecure hold control based on firepower?

OMG! Florida again? I live here, not from here, just live here. Believe me I can't wait to leave in a couple of years when I retire from a teaching career. This state is one of, if not the only one, that is constantly in the news for some sort of criminal behavior or idiotic behavior that has become fodder for all the late night talk show hosts. And they are not wrong in their jokes. More than one of my students has told me about the critters they hunt and eat, including road kill and yup, there's inbreeding, etc. One of the very first newscasts I saw upon my arrival here was about brother and sister in Dade City made eight children together - all mentally retarded or Downs syndrome, or at best educable retardation. And when the authorities finally took the parents and children into custody the youngest was in her late teens. They were living off welfare, of course. I was horrified and disgusted because most people here despise New Yorkers in particular, but anyone from up north yet they see nothing wrong with their Floridian lifestyle. My friend in New York would ask me things like does this really happen or that really happen? In Florida, yes, if it's totally freaky and/or disgusting, yes it does. It seems just about all the nasty crimes come from Florida. I once heard a saying here, that if you want to commit a crime and get away with it, do it in Florida. Keeping watching the crime blotter - Floriduh will be there.

Well, what can posters say about your reasons on leaving Florida after you retire because of the violence, in-breeding, and Welfare recipients ?

It is REALLY going to be hard for you to find anywhere in the U.S. to "retire" based upon your specific observations in Florida.

    1. Not too many places to retire to which are "violent free". Suggest checking crime statistics for ANY State.
    2. You certainly don't want to go to Utah to retire (in-breeding, multiple marriages ?).
    3. Then the Welfare question arises. How many folks are on food stamps or living in poverty in any given State ?

Looks like finding your "retirement home" within the U.S. is going to be extremely limited.

So, there may be some "overseas options" for you. I would recommend NOT considering any ME country or Mexico.

    Just my thoughts.

    Have a nice retirement.

Chris Wanker, thanks for shedding some logic to immunize a few of us against the tired old rantings of the gun-crazed. The gun manufacturers are missing a great market. The infant. Perhapsin the cradle we can start supplying infants with a gun they can actually fire with their undeveloped fine motor skills.

Then they and we will all be safer. But watchout, mom and dad, if you lean over your chidn's crib to kiss him or her nighty night, if the kid is upset with you or just thinks it might be fun you might get shot in the face. Of course a tiny child can ALWAYS plead self-defense and nobody will question that anymore than the cops did in Sanford, Fla. when that wack job Zimmerman claimed same.

.Live by the gun, die by the gun.

Yes, yes, it is the guns. Nothing about the gangs or creating a culture that glorifies gangs. Nothing about the fledging gang member required to get his 'bones' by killing someone, anyone. No, let's also not talk about the 'baby father' who fathers many children, hit and run and never, ever is responsible for those children. Let us not talk about the children born to these 'baby mamas' the ones who keep having the babies because the welfare pays for it. Let us not talk about a society or a culture that looks the other way when teenagers kill one another for their shoes or jackets, no, let us not address the REAL problems, no, let us ban guns so that honest people, law abiding people are unable to defend themselves from the gangsta's.

That's the ticket, get rid of guns...never, ever make people responsible for their actions either. It is always those 'poor, disenfranchised and troubled 'children' who need to be understood and have exceptions made for them. Those poor 'children' capable of beating old men and women to death, terrorizing neighborhoods, committing rapes, gang rapes, 'children' as young as thirteen killing in packs like feral dogs. But, yeah, it's those guns and not poor parenting, no parenting, the generational welfare, the making excuses for the inexusable and tolerating the intolerable that is at the heart of the issue. Poverty? Really? They can own cell phones, cable tv, all the electronic goodies, the designer clothing, they get free education which any kid wanting to learn has to fear for their lives to attend school, but yes, it is those guns and only those guns that are the problem.

The irony here is, he is spreading so much bull that the top gun manufacturers are no longer taking new orders. His own lies and deceit have screwed those that seek to purchase firearms.

Obama has expanded gun rights for all those thinking he is after your guns.

Those that allow themselves to be led around by ignorance are doomed to suffer from it.

But, how do you really feel? Are more guns the answer? If so, injecting additional cancer cells in a patient that already has cancer should ring true with you. There's almost as many "legal" guns as there is people in the US.

Stop playing the ole Southern standard, "Welfare Cadillac" for us and demonizing people of color. Times coming when we will be the minority. I wonder if they'll ever stoop as our ancestors did and gather up white men that look at their women and lynch us? Maybe they can have us take tests that we must pass to vote.

The problems are guns and poverty.

      #2.21 - Sat Mar 31, 2012 8:54 PM EDT

      Sandtrich:

The problem is an entitlement society and a culture that makes excuses. As to more guns? So, are we going to magically remove the guns, all the guns? Rather than looking at the cause, we look at the symptoms. The War on Poverty, going how many years now? Demonizing people of color? I don't buy into white guilt. My ancestors never owned slaves, my grandfather was a sharecropper and his father before him. I come from a long line of 'less than affluent' people. None of my ancestors were gang members, not one member of my ancestors killed anyone because they were the 'wrong' color.

As to the stereotyping, it gets old. Not all southerners are racist hillbillies any more than eastern seaboard folks are all rich. The problem is the system that allows people to make excuses. Free education, no one has to pay for something that people in many other countries have to pay for or else their kids get NO education, yet look at the drop-out rate. I have taught school, university level, the students who wanted it worked for it and they succeeded, the others, well, they didn't really want it badly enough to work for it. I taught all races, there was no difference between the black students who worked hard or the Asian students who worked hard or the Hispanic students who worked hard, they all wanted and were willing to work and sacrifice. Many came from less-than-sterling backgrounds.

Sorry, but looking at what happened prior to the Civil War and then ignoring the Civil Rights Movement and what that did for equality is unfair and only perpetuates excuses. I have worked with many African Americans, the one's who worked and succeeded are not really in favor of making excuses either. Don't lower the bar, instead, make it something to strive for rather than glorifying in music and television and film a 'culture' of drugs and violence.

I agree, I'm not giving up my gun; it's the 1st line of defense! I keep my hands to myself, but... I'll certainly use mine in defense of myself or others, although I've never had to, thank God because I truly think taking someone's life would traumatize a person for the rest of his or her life. I do think there should be more strict classes though. Police officers have to learn to control their adrenaline and so should we. Unfortunately human beings are very excitable and sometimes lose all ability to reason. And not one of my ancestors killed a person of color either, so for my tax dollars to go to people who bring frivalous lawsuits for racism is equally as unfair as the racism itself. If anyone encounters racism they should only be allowed to sue the individuals, not the entire community. A little off topic I know, but as long as we're discussing the racial tensions.

For those of you Idiots that think it would be safer without guns, people have been killing peope befor guns were invented, If someone wanted to kill you a gun is not needed. A knife, a rock , a shoestring to strangle with, a car, hold you under water, choke you with hands, a baseball bat to the head, and on and on. But as they used to say "God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal,", here are some statistics for you.

in Austrailia where they banned guns The bans were not limited to so-called “assault” weapons or
military-type firearms, but also to .22 rifles and shotguns. The effort
cost the Australian government about $500 million, said association
representative Keith Tidswell.Though lawmakers responsible for passing the ban promised a safer
country, the nation’s crime statistics tell a different story:

Countrywide, homicides are up 3.2 percent; Assaults are up 8.6 percent; Amazingly, armed robberies have climbed nearly 45 percent; In the Australian state of Victoria, gun homicides have climbed
300 percent; In the 25 years before the gun bans, crime in Australia had been
dropping steadily; There has been a reported “dramatic increase” in home burglaries
and assaults on the elderly. wnd.com/2000/03/1933/
Since Washington DC's hand gun ban was removed murder rate has fallen 25% to level's back in the 1960's
Since Chicago banned hand guns, there murder rate and crime rate has been climbing almost steadily.
In cities, or area's where legal gun ownership is highest there is a much lower crime and murder rate then in area's where legal gun ownership is lower.
the answeris simple even for so many simple minded people, if you want to rob assault and attack people you are going to do it where you feel it is easiest to do, that is not in homes and area's where people have guns and will defend themselves.

Wonder if any of the dead people looked like Obama's son? Wonder if we'll hear from the Community Organizer in Chief on this matter? Maybe Al Sharpton and jet down to Miami and lead some marches.

Well Gloria I don't like Palin or Rush or care for the KKK myself any more than I do for Al or Jesse. I don't know about Rush but I think Palin and the KKK have enough sense not to go there and stir the race pot for one. More than likely Palin would march for TM™ because politicians whore themselves out all the time. For another I think the KKK knows that brandishing a firearm is ILLEGAL in the state of Florida... even if they have a concealed carry.

So are you one of the fools marching in Miami today or are you going to put on the KKK cloak and see how peaceful those TM™ marchers are? Amazing they want "justice" but won't stop marching until someone is arrested according to reports this morning. Hope they got a decent pair of walking shoes.

Too bad people aren't willing to march, or the media willing to emphasize how many gang killings and attempted murders happen every day. Did even one person protest when, two weeks ago in Chicago, 39 people were shot and 7 killed (including a 6 year old girl sitting on her front step). All this mayhem happened during one 30 hour period of time and almost all of it during gang related violence. If even 1/10th the protesters so concerned with Treyvon care even a little bit about the hundreds of others wounded or slaughtered by gangs, maybe Congress would get off their well paid butts and pass some legislation making gang banging a federal crime like car jacking is. Maybe the idea of a few decades in a federal supermax would deter some of these predators. But being in a prison with no parole, no priviledges at all, and being treated like the sociopathic predators they are will at least keep them off the streets. And if they receive the the death penalty, there are no years and years of neverending appeals.

It takes a bunch of real mentally deprived morons to do this. I don't care what the reason is. And it is time for "gangs" to fade into history and the mental midgets that belong to them to go out, get a job, and do something useful with their lives instead of ending up in a prison. A five year old gets hit by a bullet and all because a corpse got touched???? A shooting at a funeral and innocent bystanders get shot???? What kind of larva does something like this and still call themselves "human"? This is the kind of people we want out of the country and, if possible, off the planet. It gives new meaning to inter-planetary travel. It takes real low-lives to gun down people at a funeral. I've heard of stupid people, even ignorant ones, but this is a pure display of them in action. I wonder what they do if someone passes the salt to them when they ask for the sugar? When God was passing out brains, they thought he said trains, and they didn't want to go any where! This is just disgusting, inexcusable, animalistic behavior at its best. In fact, its an insult to animals. I apologize to the animal world.

Those who think that we should all give up our guns do not understand that Only the Law Abiding citizens will turn their guns in.Then only the crooks who usually do not register their guns anyway will be the only ones armed. Signs & Wonders. I can't deduce why such a thing has to happen, and they keep on happening. All the common decency that I was brought up to have, seems to no longer apply. People like to escelate things these days rather than defuse them. If people thought before they acted or reacted, or overreacted, maybe this nonsense would stop.

You're right. Maybe people find it to be too much trouble to defuse. Maybe people don't know how to defuse. Maybe people think by escalating a situation, they become the star attraction or the "victim". I don't know...somewhere there is a breakdown and that breakdown needs to be fixed. Wish I had the answers.

                Gentle Folk,

Washington DC had one of the toughest gun control laws on the books in this country.

It also had one of the highest murder rates in this country.

ONLY the criminals and police were actually using guns.

I know this because I lived there then. Now it is better.

Laws only stop or deter the law abiding----criminals do not give a rats hat about laws----that is why we call them criminals.

The message that is not yet understood is gun violence as a solution to issues is learned through observation. With the NRA pimping for guns for all, as guns become as common as iphones in your pocket, more and more "apps" will be used. Angry at your boss app? No need for anger management--blow them away. Suspicious of a unarmed teen app? No need to follow any reasonable course of action--blow them away. Feeling small, insecure and ineffectual app? Carry that gun, especially in Florida and use as directed. Albert Bandura years ago demonstrated convincingly that violence is learned through observation. The NRA and concealed carry folks give us all the tools for learning and target practice on our friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. Go NRA!

The bastards are trying to do the same now to North Carolina. They say they can't stand living down south and tell you how much better it was up north, however for some unknown reason they never go back. Hint to all Yankees in the south --- I-95 runs from Florida all the way to Canada, or if your prefer flying --- Delta is ready when you are. Travel safe y'all.

Takenaka, if guns are ever banned for ordinary citizens no one will be safe. Are you really naive enough to believe criminals will surrender their weapons? The only thing keeping crooks out of our houses is that we might have gun and be willing to use it to protect ourselves. It might also keep this country from becoming a police state. We have the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from invasion/tyranny from within as well as from outside our borders. It's bad guys that are the problem, not the guns. Grow up.

                Ban handguns and automatic weapons.

Nice to see you have come up with a new line.. oh wait, you haven't. Tell you what, you convince all the criminals to give up their guns first, then I will consider giving up mine. I also want police on every street corner so they are only seconds away if I am attacked. And at night, a police officer for every two homes just in case.

BTW, automatic weapons are banned unless you pay a very large amount of money to get a tax stamp allowing ownership. With that goes a background check that takes about 6 months. I doubt criminals are doing this.

I also seem to recall reading that the Japanese didn't invade the west coast of the United States after Pearl Harbor because they knew the citizens here would out gun them.

Could it be that areas with better news coverage or highly concentrated populated areas are the reason that some places show up a little more often than some other locations???

As a Floridian, I will say yes, we're all nuts. We can't count (2000 vote fraud), can't administrate the law (numerous cases, Martin being the most recent) and we enjoy training terrorists (9-11). Florida has the most corrupt incorporation laws in the union, hence why our state is one of the major sources of all unsolicited calls. Boca Raton is considered the telemarketing capital of America. Makes starting Pill Mills super easy, not to mention. Organized Crime is every, and lots of retired mafia bosses live here. I should know, I used to know one (NOT NAMING NAMES). Lots of old people to defraud out of their medicare, too. The Medicare fraud coming from Florida is MASSIVE. If you wanted to put a end to the US deficit, just saw off Florida and let it float away.

                Seriously.

It is estimated that by the time the average child reaches the sixth grade, they will have seen about 100,000 acts of violence, which will include up to 8,000 simulated murders. The music they listen to, the shows they watch, the movies and video games we put out and the increasingly easy access to porn has overloaded young children and made them old before their time. This much exposure could cause children to be less concerned about the pain and suffering of others, become more aggressive towards others and/or become more afraid of the outside world, a problem that has increased dramatically over the years.

The problem today is when I was a kid if I saw someone pulled out of a car and beaten by a mob it was real and I knew it. Today with the simulated game violence it desensitizes you because the game starts again when you push a button. In my day the dead body didn't get up.

More than likely the guy who was being buried (shot) had not sufficiently paid his debts.

So the other thugs wanted to collect more.

Go NRA! Wow, you are making a daily name for yourself as the prime educator for the use of gun violence integrated into everyday life!

This has nothing to do with the NRA(no I am not a member), and most the guns used in these incidents are illegally owned. The trigger doesn't pull itself, and if a felon has it in his hand it just became an illegal weapon. There is no need to tread on law abiding citizens rights.

Yes, it does have a great deal to do with the NRA, simply b/c of what the NRA represents--primarily full support of the 2nd Amendment. Don't limit Kamaaina's statement when what s/he is implying is that guns have become such an unacceptably large part of our daily lives. I'm for 2nd Amend too, but when we put more emphasis on 2nd hand smoke than we do on 2nd hand violence then it may be time to put a curb on our 2nd Amendment.

or we could just put less emphasis on second hand smoke. More people are killed by reckless drivers than guns each year, so should we outlaw driving to solve the problem. Gangs will find a way to kill each other regardless of how we try to keep weapons away from them.

This kind of shooting doesn't make me call out the NRA because it sounds like criminal thugs who would have gotten the guns one way or another. Lax purchase laws, etc...is where I think they could be more supportive.

Sounds like the bad guys kill an enemy - and then can have a field day shooting at the poor people who show up for the funeral for the dead. Talk about drawing your enemies in and then killing them eh? It's a tragedy for society that we don't have some way to determine who the scumbags are who have no respect for anyone else's life - or their own for that matter - so that we could just push a button and be rid of those socially crippled people in order to have a better world. Sounds like the movie Minority Report come to think of it!

No the NRA has a political agenda much of which I do not agree with. HOWEVER having lived in a theocratic dictatorship for part of my life, where you looked who was around you before you said certain things, curbed your speech, where people have been arrested for the possession of a playboy magazine. Where you were arrested, many killed, if you didn't have the right stamp for the area you were in, in your state issued ID book and you were a certain race. I have seen people publicly beaten and arrested for this first hand, no-one told me about it, I didn't hear about it I SAW IT FIRST HAND from my front yard.

The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are THE GREATEST works ever written by man, the 2nd amendment is the lynch pin that holds it all together. Unfortunately some idiots abuse it by doing illegal immoral things and MURDERING innocent people, this is a high price to pay for our freedoms but not nearly as high as the price of not having our constitution. I am still amazed at the foresight America's forefathers had when they wrote these documents.

They said on local tv this morning that it was a 9mm handgun and a high powered rifle. My guess would be it is a civilian version AK47 which is really nothing more than a semiautomatic rifle with a low to medium powered round. As for curbing the 2nd amendment, the laws we have are sufficient if properly enforced. Compare an AR15 and a Ruger mini14, their available accessories and their specifications and tell me why one is an "assault weapon" and one is a "sporting rifle", its all semantics by politicians.

When they find these guys ask them for their permits idiot. These guns have nothing to do with the NRA. The next time somebody sticks you up with a gun ask to see their permit. When are you people going to understand these people could care less about your freaking rules? If they cared they wouldn't be shooting up a funeral home in the first place. There is a war going on in some cities and none of the guns were bought with a permit. I'll bet none of them are even old enough to legally buy a gun. The assault rifle is fully automatic with a large clip the sporting rifle is semi automatic with a smaller magazine. Fully automatic hold down trigger rifle keeps firing. Semi automatic trigger must be pulled every time.

lonereb are you calling me an idiot, there is no difference between an AR15 and a mini 14, they are both semiautomatic, both have 10, 20, 30, and 40 round magazines available, they both use a 223 round, they can both have scopes mounted on them. The AR RESEMBLES an assault weapon and the mini 14 has a wood stock. You must be confusing an AR15 with a M-16 or M-4 both fully automatic military weapons and not available to the general public without very specific licensing.

There is no permit to buy a firearm in Florida but there is a 5 day cooling off period, a Florida Department of Law Enforcement background check and an FBI background check you have to pass before you can legally by a gun from a licensed gun dealer, illegal trade is exactly that illegal and they don't care and will get what they want even if they have to steal it.

They kill for thier gang (frat) bros. Because gang bangers are intellectually stunted / cognitively delayed and otherwise incapable of thinking for themselves.

What Congress needs to do is pass a law that enjoins every citizen to become part of the militia and carry a weapon.

Every citizen at some point will need to defend himself or herself, so Congress should compel everyone to be ready to do so. I don't remember where I heard this logic recently, but it certainly seemed to make sense.

Constitutionally, there are several places that give Congress the ability to do this: Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 (The Congress shall have Power To ... provide for the common Defence); Clause 15 (To provide for calling forth the Militia); Clause 16 (To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia...); and of course, the 2nd Amendment.

Some people fall for this quicker than others. Don't get suckered into this Americans, or you're F****d.

Yep, Spike coughed up some $$$, case closed. He was stupid to have tweeted anything, even if it was the right address. What would he have done if somebody harmed that elderly couple or even Zimmerman? People need to stop the violence and the sideshows in the media, go home and come up with some solutions to violence among young people. We have turned into a nation of soundbites, hate speech and reactionary dogma and as much as Social media has helped some situations, it will be our undoing if we use it recklessly.

Why is it that people of a particular race always without fail leave negative comments, but then scream I'm so tired of minorities screaming racism. Perception is reality. It is so sickening...you will destroy your life and your true potential in life from hate..is it worth it?

A minority can equally say..Oh look at the page with the teacher offering higher grades for sex.....you can already tell who that person would be.

Why when children go missing and later found dead killed by their parents why is it always a particular race, your child molesters...... your serial killers? The list could go on. As well as it can equally go on for all races. Each race contributes greatly to the destruction of the HUMAN race. That in reality is the only truth.

It's so easy for people , adults even to sit and hid behind a computer screen and make up fake names ..go through all of that just to post nasty comments..You want to be heard but with conditions only.

The race shouldn't matter because regardless it has a direct impact on all people of a nation........hence the comments

In reality it doesn't matter..if you were in a tragic accident and ever needed blood I doubt you would say....Only if it's from a particular race....the same for a heart transplant, liver transplant and the like.

There is enough hate in the world......the position has been filled. Do something else with your life. Choose to be better.

It's sad that MSNBC would condone such comments ...it's a direct reflection on what they promote.

                      Matthew 7:1-5

Do not judge or you too will be judged. For the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother , "Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

People can look at statistics and go over crime patterns but no one can really say a specific crime = specific race. A good example is the Washington snipers. The profilers were all over that case and they were sure it was a white male. They had egg on their face when the sniper turned out to be AA.

Everyone fueling it including Al, Jessie, Spike and every reporter when the @!$%# hits the fan will be nice and safe in their posh protected neighborhoods. some of you are so blind and ignorant to the hatred, denigration and mass killing that the goddam BuyBull encourages and all the evil its followers have done...

it's just unbelievable... the mindlessness of religious nutters.

Yes I did, as a matter of fact. I'm surprised that you had a moment of clarity and were able to discern this. Reading comprehension doesn't seem to be one of strong points. Come to think of it, other than insults, bullying and trolling, what exactly are your strong points???

They can't even get the story right on the person the funeral was for.

Aventura Police Sgt. Chris Goranitis told CBS4 News the funeral was for 21-year-old Morvin Andre who died on March 16th, one day after he jumped from the 4th to 2nd floor of the Aventura Mall parking garage in an effort to escape pursuit by Bloomingdale’s loss prevention employees.

The Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide because he chose to jump rather than be apprehended, according to Goranitis.

More senseless stupidity! When will people wake up from this percieved threat that everyone is out to get them? When you percieve things in this manner, you will always want to shoot first, ask questions later. This is probably gang related? Gangs must be erradicated! Come on people, how many more innocent five year olds have to be hurt, or killed, before you take back your communities???

Go ahead you're free to go into the gangs and tell them to play nice. I don't think they'll listen though.

White, black, brown or yellow, what difference does it make....lives are being lost needlessly! Don't take offense at these comments, take offense at the number of young lives that are being wasted before they get a chance to fulfill their dreams. Take offense to the fact that too many young men and women are killed every single day due to violence which could be stopped by you and me both. We don't need to be bad ass every single day of our lives because this is the end result...death. We're the so-called lucky ones because we're still alive...but for how long?

GCooper, you're simply trying to polish a turd with you politcally correct interpretation. Did anybody notice how the police are looking for 5 or 6 men driving an impala. Dang, that's a lot of possible suspects to choose from. Looks like they decided to leave out the color of the men doing the shooting. Three guess's as to the ethnicity of the shooters.
