If the Girl is (insert race here) and the Shooter (insert race here).

As long as they match were good but one from column A and one from column B then we have a problem Right?

Never seen or heard of a gun getting up and shooting a human or shooting another gun because it was a winchester ! It's people who kill other people and guns are not the only weapons used to murder another human being . No more baseball ( bats ) No more cooking ( knives ) No more lamps ( cords ) No more toxic products ( poison ) And the list goes on .

Does anyone know if this was another black on black crime?....I'm sure Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will be there to console the grieving family......

Does anyone here remember the article? This has just become one huge banter about gun laws. Yes this 15 y.o. girl was shot...by a gun. Is your argueing about gun laws going to change that? Whether you are pro or con abut current gun laws...is anything going to be solved here? Are you going to continue to banter back and forth for another 200 posts? Does getting into race and ethnic slamming solve anything? I have even seen posts on here that tout God and then a few posts later state hatred thoughts towards another post..Obviously a lot of you need to take a look in the mirror, pray that this young lady heals and the perptrator is caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law...Yes every state has laws already..so just stop already!

To all of you people who are pro guns,Im live in Canada where we have for the most part very different views on guns. Most people here do not own guns thankfully.Yes we do have the odd shooting but not even a fraction of the US.And its not because we have less people, clearly you guys have massive shootings regularly is because of your fetish for guns and way too many people own them! I could never live in your country,I feel sorry for you people as the US was long ago a country to look up to.

If you wanna live your life as a declawed house cat go for it. but the anti-gun front loves these stories because they can say "see? guns are bad! only our military should have them!" that would be well and good if our goverment actully earned our trust. but we now live in am America where anyone considered a terrorist can be held with out trial. there are cops that want occupyers considered terrorists and the fbi wants food activists considerd terrorists. if they had theeir way telling people the certain things are bad for you could earn you a no stop ticket to a FEMA camp.

Anyone remember the story where a young widow and now single parent sucessfully defended her self from a crazed stalker that was breaking in to her house withhis friend to do only the devil knows what to her and her baby? She shot him dead. I high five her. because by the time those cops got there he mighta killed them both. so lets focus on the real issue. who the hell hated that family so much to fire shots in to their home and why the hell did they do it? who the hell created that monster and what can we do to reach people before they go this crazy?

Guns are not the problem, If you have the intent to kill a person you dont need a gun to do it. theirs lots of ways it can be done. The problem is the Justice System, when the criminal knows thats the worse will be done to them is they spend years in jail, (big deal) while they live off the tax payer their lawyer is working on getting them out, hoping some law will change that will set them free. We need to start Hanging them out back of the court house let a few others see what will happen to them if they do the crime, they will think twice about it.

It's to easy anymore to do a crime, get sent to jail where there took better care of than they would be if they were on the street. The US has more people jailed than any other country, living off the tax payer, and when they get out they do the same things again. Ya i know you panzys gonna say well thats cruel, well ya it is, but wouldnt it be better than having your kids shot in their class room,,or having them killed in the streets. Take a stand people stop being sheep.

Shocking to hear things like this. How can a 15 year old deserve to be shot, no matter what the age really. But for someone to have the nerve to shoot another person whilst sleeping, especially 15 years of age is just sick. I hope this sickos gun went off in their pants and blew their private parts away, but thats just me.

I own several firearms. Haven't shot anyone yet. Most everyone I know owns firearm. None of them have shot anyone either. It's not the guns that are the problem. It's the children that are raised to be sociopaths. Don't know how to fix that.

                    1. last night's news said it all when they interviewd a black guy that had been shot in Oklahoma he said "if you get shot and you're black you expect it to be a black guy- I was surprised that the guy was white." why is it ok if a black person shoots another black person and not ok if the shooter is hispanic or white- All shootings should be wrong. This is crazy stuff America. Condem all violence not a selected few. Since Trayvon was shot in Florida- gangs and others who are black have killed nearly 50 in Chicago and no mention of it. As it has been said, guns don't kill people, people kill people, the gun is just a instrument, same as a knife, box cutter, ice pick, or even a rock.

taking the guns off the streets won't fix ANYTHING. Crimmals by their very definition are already lawbreakers. They can get guns, and if not guns, bats, kitchen knives, hedge clippers... you get the idea.

The person who hated that child that much is a crimminal and we need guns to protect our selves and our kids from people like that.

Recently, the easy gun people who committ crimes (because lets face it, criminals are voters too and support easy gun laws) have been shooting police officers at an alarming rate. This form of criminal activity is rising rapidly. Now cops carry guns, don't they? So if carrying guns makes you safer, why are attacks on cops rising faster than attacks on unarmed citizens? Why do cops support tougher gun laws? They are the ones getting shot, so shouldn't NRA people listen to their advice? Well, I think NRA people have let ideology destroy their ability to reason.

Here's the gun argument to end all gun arguments: Take away all guns, people start carrying knives and other sharp objects. Just because you take away one weapon doesn't mean all others become obsolete, ever heard of bows/arrows and crossbows?

People should look at Switzerland. When a Swiss male turns 20, he is LEGALLY REQUIRED to own a firearm. Even though every male in Switzerland has a firearm, Switzerland still has one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

I think that many people here need to come down and open their eyes. Guns will never be taken away from the public because it would violate our second amendment rights, thus it will NEVER happen. You cannot take the weapons away from the people. I would also like people to realize, almost all of the time a crime is committed, that gun is illegal. Taking the guns away from the public does not solve the problem. Lastly, i have not seen a post yet that says "Has justice been done? Has the shooter been caught?" Nice to know that no one in the world cares about justice. You all just love bickering back and forth to much.

****GUNS Don't kill people, Period! It is the person behind the gun that kills. So whether the right to bear arms is diminished or not, people will still kill people.

Absolutely, we need to stop dumbing down in this country and wake up to what is happening around us. People need to be responsible for their actions. The laws keep setting the movement in the wrong direction. Less laws, less labels, more common sense.

When Rep. Lewis of GA lobbied for stricter gun control and registration of all handguns, he caught & shot a burglar with an unregistered handgun (but he felt he had the right to not register his gun.) When politicians feel that they are above the law, and excuse themselves from the laws already in place, how can they or any activist group believe that criminals will ever respect gun regulation. Removing alcohol prohibition did not cut down on deaths from drunk drivers, it only reduced alcohol bootlegger crime to migrate to another crime. Now we can legalize drugs to force criminals to sell guns illegally, then on and on we go to other crimes.

People, people, people-stop attacking one another. Everyone has their own
opinions about this article. No one is 100% right and no one is 100% wrong
either. Those that want to ban races from carrying guns-look at the era of
terror caused by Adolf Hitler. Also look at the Middle East. Do you want to
live in societies like that? I want to be able to walk down my street at night
without the fear of getting shot in cross fire. I want to be able to let my
child play outside without the fear of finding my child shot-let alone put my
child to bed at night knowing she is safe. I don't carry guns and never will.
To me-solving a problem with violence only creates more problems. It's not
worth it in my opinion. I had a very close friend who was a cop that was gunned
down several years ago over a traffic ticket that was justly issued. Still-I
didn't run out and kill the s.o.b. that gunned him down and left his wife to
raise a severely disabled child plus a newborn on her own. I don't blame the
shooter’s entire race (which was white) for what he did to my friend nor do I
condone all the blacks just because some black a**hole decided to rape me and
get me pregnant. To those who say the blacks commit the most crimes-you're
wrong. We just mostly hear about the crimes blacks commit. In fact-it's
disgusting. I'm not here to preach to anyone (nor do I want to). I'm here
exercising my freedom of speech just like you all. I believe that in my heart
that people should have to take safety classes in order to get a license to
carry and a much deeper background check needs to be required. What people
don't realize is that the mistakes you make by shooting someone and killing
them don't bring the person back to life by simply saying, "I'm sorry it
was an accident." The mistakes of yesterday change the tomorrows in so
many peoples’ lives. I don't believe
banning guns will solve the problem either-look at the black markets and how
many guns are taken off the streets daily. Look how alcohol became legal in
this country simply because of moonshine. The bottom line is this: if you are
going to carry a concealed weapon, then you have to take responsibility for it
and whatever you do with the gun. In most states-you have a right to protect
yourself and your property but you cannot shoot the perpetrator from behind or
you more than likely will face some type of homicide charge or manslaughter
charge. Think about it: do you want to be the one responsible for destroying a
family's life by taking one of their members? Do you want to have that on your conscious
for the rest of your life? What if it was your own child that was shot and
killed? Then you’d be screaming, “Give that bas**** the death penalty!” This 15
year old girl is lucky to be alive with being shot as much as they are saying
she was. The person that did this is definitely a coward. People who shoot
others for “no obvious or known reason” are cowards. I think it is okay to
carry guns as long as you are responsible but it is NEVER okay to kill someone
without just cause. Protecting yourself is one thing but doing so to get
revenge is another. You just create more damage and more pain than is really
necessary. How about put down your weapons and talk? If you can’t-find someone
who can mediate without bias. There’s more than one way to solve a problem but
violence is never a solution. I have personal reasons to be racist but I choose
not to be. One entire race is not responsible for the actions of one person from that race! I bet if we look at our family and social networks-not one of is can stand up and say that we don't know anyone or were friends with anyone who was murdered in some way-either by guns or knives or whatever. So before you point the finger at someone else-think: was I in that person's shoes? We can say what we would do in certain situations and even rehearse what we would do but we don't know until we are in that situation. So before you start shouting or making ignorant comments towards an article-think to yourself: what if this was me or family? Would I want that said about me or my family?
