Different looks of Eric Justin Toth.
A former private school teacher and camp counselor who is suspected of producing child pornography has replaced slain al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List.
Eric Justin Toth, 30, fled the Maryland-Washington, D.C., area in 2008 after pornographic images of children were discovered on Toth’s camera and warrants for his arrest were issued, the FBI said. Toth also sometimes assumes the name David Bussone.
Reuters reported that a sealed two-count complaint against Toth has been filed in federal court in Washington, charging him with possessing a video that includes an image of child pornography and transporting it across state lines.
Since then, the Purdue University graduate with a degree in education is believed to have traveled to Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. He has also been spotted in Arizona as late as 2009, the FBI said.
He is described as 6-foot-3 and about 155 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. The FBI says a distinguishing feature is a mole under his left eye.
Authorities say he is a computer expert and frequents social-networking websites. A $100,000 reward is offered for information leading directly to Toth's arrest.
Bin Laden had been the FBI’s most-wanted fugitive before he was killed at a hideout in Pakistan last year by U.S. forces.
The FBI told Reuters that Toth, who could face 15 to 20 years in prison, was put on the list after a lengthy process that included surveying FBI field offices around the country as well as the approval of top FBI officials.

Back in the day when I was stationed at Ft Bragg NC, that state had a law on the books where the governor could declare someone an "outlaw" and if you indentified this person walking down the street you could shoot him on sight and it was all legal. To bad the FBI can't do something like that with their 10 most wanted list.

Like you could really confirm a strangers identity just by looking at them as they walk down the street. I wonder how many innocent people were misidentified and killed because of that law.

I'm more amazed that this guy got put at the top of the list where Osama used to be. Are all the terrorists dead? Are people no longer being killed by suicide bombers? Or have we finally, as a nation, said "It's totally alright to blow up busloads of innocent people. But don't you grab yourself a handful of pre/teen yumyums!".

It seems the FBI is deciding to stick with crimes in the US. Although, I would think that this guy has committed the most recent inter-state crime, so my guess it that, that is the reason to make him #1. Still a bit odd. Not having terroist on the FBI list has to do with having a "war" on terrorism. Even though terrorism is a police matter our leaders have made it a military matter it is not of course. To many people think that we need a warrior class of citizens and a home land (1930's Germny). We now have laws that eliminate the Bill of Rights (NDAA) and set up Star Chambers for citizens. If you really want a Republic, use a grind system for congressional districts, and protest by flying the flag upside down.

The problem with what you are saying is that, the criminal system is so convoluted, first off, second, a crime or suspicion of a crime needs to take place before the agencies like the FBI place people on their list. Yes we all do not want people actively trying to kill us, but you clearly exaggerate that point to get your point across, which i find discredited.
The US agencies cannot simply hunt down all suspects that could be terrorists, or as you put it, people who are actively killing people, because first, your idea of a terrorist is a bit ill-informed, terrorists have political agendas, which include violent acts toward non-combatants, randomly killing or living to just kill people does not count as being a terrorist; that is a psychological issue, people you would categorize as mass murderers, or a psycho.
Second, their are international institutions set to regulate interactions amongst state actors, so a state actor like the US cannot simply criminalize any person they suspect as a terrorist.
Agencies in other countries should then have the same luxury and classify certain Americans as Terrorists as well, just because they think some might be.
Third, the US is relatively safe. You aren't driving, or walking, or commuting around everyday worried you'll be killed are you? and if you are, your paranoia is your issue, and an issue shared only by you. Other countries do live this way every single day of their lives. Not people in the US.
So, this man on the list as number 1, makes sense. Don't let your lack of knowledge misguide your opinions, or your personal feelings or agenda. No one is actively trying to kill you, and if someone really, actually, truly was actively chasing you, then call your local authorities, and let them know who it is. Or say, these terrorists are actively trying to kill me, and they should be number one on your list... see if that works
There is something very strange about this. The guy is a "suspect". Not a convicted criminal. They said they found child porn on his camera. Who and how did they get hold of his camera? Has anyone come forward to file a specific charge against him for molestation or similar? It says a "sealed complaint" was filed an suggesting it includes possession and transport of child pornography. They have tracked this guy over several States. There's $100,000 on his head. They obviously want this guy, but is it really for the alleged charges? What better way to get the public looking for this guy because he's some scumbag pedophile.
Ever read your local paper? Seems like there's always some story about suspected child molesters and ones where there was clearly some event that took place. Yet do these creeps make the FBI most wanted list? You have to wonder. There's loads of supected murders, rapists and such all over and they rank below this guy? Seems like some files on a camera might be pretty easy to rig. Why is the official complaint sealed? I'm not suggesting that this guy might not be some creep guilty of something, but some aspects of this seem pretty odd. They don't tell us very much. It doesn't mention anyone coming forward with specific allegations. I'm all for prosecuting pedophiles, but something doesn't sound quite right here. They've been looking for this guy for four years and he uses an assumed identity? Just doesn't add up to replacing Bin Laden as the #1 most wanted. There's obviously some thing they aren't telling us.

The truly scary part of this crime is that all someone has to do it put kiddie porn on your computer then turn you in. Then you are instantly branded for life. It happened to a family friend of ours. His wife wanted to leave him and keep full custody so she magically took his computer to the FBI...five years later he's still in prison. Im not saying this guy is innocent in any regards...just saying its scary how easy it is to frame someone with this crime.

I don't see how anybody that's only 30 years old could actually be any kind of bigwig in the world of child porn. I do think death is good enough for them, nothing painful, just quick. Hmmm...I believe if you read the bible it states if you are not saved you live and die by the law. Jesus also stated that if you "offend one of these" (talking about children) it would be better if you had a milstone tied about your neck and were thrown into the sea. Jesus did not come to change the prohecys or the scripture and the scripture/commandment states thy shalt not commit murder not thy shalt not kill and in the old testament this type of person would be killed very quickly and end of story.

If someone is harboring this person I hope they get as long a prison sentence as him when they are caught! Any person who exploits our children or our elderly for any reason be it monitary gain or some perverse satisfaction should recieve the harshest penalty the law will allow upon conviction. I work in social services and the injuries I've seen on sexually MUTILATED kids would make you throw up. While I might be tempted to agree with you on America's often backwards morality regarding sex versus violence, this is not about American prudishness toward sex. It is about a guy who sexually abuses children for money.
I understand that rape is different than sex. I also don't intend to downsize the significance of sexual abuse. I just think that there should be people on that list that have also caused serious harm to others. Perhaps my wording wasn't best. I expect - and hope - with the guy's above average height and distinct mole - that he'll be caught quickly.

How many priests have been officially accused of rape? Then we can multiply that number to get the actual number. Reports I've heard (and not just on NBC) have indicated a lot - on a global scale - more so than an occasional bad egg.

In "A Perspective on Clergy Sexual Abuse", Dr. Thomas Plante, from Stanford University reports that about 4% of Catholic priests over the past 50 years have had sex with a minor. That's about half of the percentage of the general population who have had sex with a minor.
There are literally millions of people who have had sex with minors, but people like yourself want to focus on the fact that there have been around 4500 priests accused of sexual abuse over the past 50 years.

I was married to one of these a holes victims after our daughter was born I spent 13 years in therapy with her, she filed for divorce and has a hard time being happy.Read the social workers post, the stuff these jerks do is more than you could imagine. The scars, pyshical and emotional last forever and it can affect these kids whole life.

Don't forget, this isn't about someone possessing child pornography, this is about a guy who actually produced the vile garbage. I'd consider the poor children involved to be raped as well as psychologically traumatized for life. This guy likely is a rapist, and also is taking advantage of helpless children. Hes making movies of children being molested he should be on the top 10 most wanted list and chances are he still finding a way to produce more movies. A murder may kill only one person but this scum has screwed up the lives of many people and probably will not stop until hes caught. He could have done some pretty monstrous things - mutilated some children in some pretty horrific ways that your mind can't even come up with because you aren't that sick. I am all for looking up pedophiles and throwing away the key but this is just stupid, there is no way this guy should be number 1 on the FBI's most wanted list. Seriously, the FBI is saying this guy poses the greatest threat to the people who live in this country, yeah right. There are hundreds of people who commit crimes everyday that are more damaging to our country than anything this guy could do. Think about the mob, drug rings, finical services fraud, terrorist cells, and the FBI is all worked up over this guy. I am not saying that he isn't bad, but he isn't the worse person out there. This seems like the FBI is choosing a guy to be #1 on their list becouse this guys should be relativley easy to catch and convict compared to some of those other criminals I mentioned before who pose a greater threat to our society.
