Christopher Piantedosi, of Methuen, Mass., is arraigned in Woburn District Court in Massachusetts on Monday.
The fatal stabbing of a Massachusetts woman in her home was witnessed by someone who was videochatting with the victim’s teenage daughter on an iPad, a prosecutor said Monday.
Middlesex County District Attorney Nicole Allain made the revelation at the arraignment of Christopher Piantedosi, 39, of Methuen, Mass., in Woburn District Court, according to local media reports.
Piantedosi is accused of stabbing his former longtime girlfriend, 38-year-old Kristen Pulisciano, 34 times on Thursday in front of their 15-year-old daughter at her Burlington, Mass., home.
Allain told the court the daughter was in her bedroom chatting with a friend on an iPad when she heard her parents arguing in the kitchen. Piantedosi chased the victim into the bedroom and stabbed her repeatedly with a butcher knife, the prosecutor said, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
The daughter's friend, who was still logged into the videochat session, saw and heard parts of the gruesome attack, according to Allain.
According to the Union Leader:
“He could hear the victim saying, ‘Please, please.' He could hear the daughter yelling, ‘No. No.' He then heard the defendant say, ‘You gotta die. You gotta die.' He then heard the victim say, ‘Chris, please stop. I love you' and then the defendant began stabbing Kristen numerous times,” Allain said.
Prosecutors said Pulisciano died of a stab wound to the neck.
Judge Marianne Hinkle on Monday ordered Piantedosi held without bail and scheduled a probable cause hearing for June 7.

Killed her while she expressed her love for him. Sad. Hope they put him down like a rabid dog.
She did not love him and just said that as she knew it was her last chance. On tape, case closed. Take him directly to prison, see how he likes to be stabbed by inmates........
Throw this thing in a wood chipper
I agree, wood chipper would be fitting for a scumbag like him.
7 2 7: "She did not love him and just said that as she knew it was her last chance"
Who died and made you God? How do you know if she loved the man or not? You don't know...you're just projecting.
Do you mean to say that you wouldn't say or do anything to someone chasing you down with a butcher knife so you could be allowed to live?? Desperate people do and say desperate things in order to have their life spared. I don't suspect that there's any kind of "projecting" going on here. It's called logic.
A certain percentage of so-called "desperate" people will do and say desperate things in order to have their life spared. This does not mean ALL "desperate" people will do these things. Your logic is flawed, but thanks for playing.
A rabid dog deserves far more compassion than this scumbag.
I think if I were in the process of being stabbed to death by someone I loved, my feelings toward that person would undergo a rapid change away from anything that could even remotely be described as love.
WHAT?? Please continue your anger management classes and take your meds. If you had a blade at your throat you would beg for your life. Get real dude and take a chill time out.........
I just feel for the 15 year old, to suffer through her mother being killed by her father and to have to testify to what she saw and heard. I hope he pleas out, just so she won't have to.
What a dumb debate. Who cares if the dead ex-grilfriend really loved him? Clearly the feeling wasn't mutual, because either way she is DEAD.
-----------------------------------------
That has to be surreal (and terrifying) hearing what someone says as they are taking another's life. This started as a domestic dispute, I could understand him yelling a variety of derogatory names out of anger, but to state that her death is a necessity is just plain weird. I can see someone saying that if they are killing out of fear or greed, but not anger. Maybe the ex-GF was going to out him on something?
Or maybe he is just plain psycho. You'd have to be to murder someone in front of your kid without any hesitation. If I were his attorney I would use the insanity defense.
Imagine the terro of her daughter, she will never, ever be the same. He should get the electric chair with plenty of water.
That was my first thought. I hope she has other family/friends to support her. This will not be easy and will most likely affect the outcome of the rest of her life. Poor child.
NO WATER!! Takes longer to cook him and he suffers all the way. He's lucky I will not be called to that jury...
Scum this killbag
Will the daughter end up with a "Dragon Tattoo"?
Funny how this gets very few comments compared to the gay marriage story. Amazing how far as a nation we have strayed about what really matters - other people.
This was only posted minutes ago, and presumably most people are checking their news in the morning. Although I'm not certain which story you're referring to exactly..
Gay marriage is an issue for the nation. This murder, while awful, affects few people.
Larolds...just don't marry a Gay Person...Case Closed...IDIOT!!!
What?? Gay marriage is, for most, an issue about 'other people'. Unfortunately, it's the massess that feel the need to step on equality for the few.
agreed Ray, not much to say here though in a way. just more a comment on how this person should be punished really. (if you are in favor of the death penalty or not )
i say gas him. i am tired of tax dollars paying for guys like these. millions of dollars i am sure. for those that disagree...i call you on it. (if you believe tax dollars should house people like this, from now on you pay it.....then lets see how fast you change your mind. (liberals...its always a great idea when "others" have to pay, but when it falls on "their" sholders its hold the phone! this is not working...we need to fix this now. lol
@fix it man google the cost of the death penalty. Unless we just take them out and hang them without the chance of appeal it will always cost more to put them to death than looking them up for life. Death penalty appeals are paid for by the tax payer and can run into many millions of dollars. If sentence to life w/out parole they pay for their own appeals.
Fixit Man: "i say gas him. i am tired of tax dollars paying for guys like these. millions of dollars i am sure."
Due to the appeals process it costs FAR more money to "gas" someone than to keep them in prison for life. So if it's just a matter of $ for you--life in prison is the way to go.
Ironically, according to fox news, the death penalty actually cost taxpayers more than life in prison. Go figure. www.foxnews.com/us/2010/03/27/just-cost-death-penalty-killer-state-budgets/
I have to agree that it's been shown that the death penalty does cost more than just incarcerating someone. But that's because we allow way to many appeals for people that the evidence just doesn't warrant an appeal.
My favorite scenes from Cops was always the one where the cameraman had the camera focused on the "defendent" right up until the cop nabbed him in a chase. And then the low life scumbag starts saying how he didn't do it!
I'll volunteer as executioner. I'll even provide transportation, lodging and my own ammo. We need to start putting animals like this down. Give him his Constitutionally guaranteed trial, and execute within 30 days of conviction. There are NO mitigating circumstances.
It's a shame that a waste of flesh like this cant just be taken out behind the barn and have a bullet put in his brain.
I'm only speculating, but I'd put a little money to say that there is a history of "domestic violence" or spousal abuse in the family. How many times have we read the same basic story. The really sad part is either that the one that ends up in the pool of blood on the floor feels trapped and like there is no place for them to go, or blindly remains with an abuser even as they make more frequent trips to the emergency room for more severe injuries. It is extremely rare that it gets better, and it almost always gets worse.
The only good side of all of this is that he didn't turn his rage on the daughter also.
That poor child. What a terrible thing to witness. She's so fortunate he did not turn the weapon on her next!
She kept on texting and never dialed 911?
I caught my own blunder there.
"Piantedosi held without bail and scheduled a probable cause hearing for June 7", you think he probably caused her death?
Fry him and feed him to the pigs!
Why u hate pigs?
(((((daughter)))))
Please let a large and loving extended family rush to enfold this 15-year-old who is now a virtual orphan!
Also - the face of the Officer of the Court behind Piantedosi mirrors my KINDEST thought about this vermin.
As a democrat I know many Republicans who don't believe in the death penalty, & I also know many democrats who are in favor of it, myself included. The singly stated objectives, of the political parties we belong to, are rarely supported by all of their respective members. Generally we join with them because of their collective stance on the many different issues.
I do believe that in cases where the evidence is so overwhelming & incontrovertible that the death penalty should be carried out much more swiftly & with out the many appeals. Our laws are in desperate need of an overhaul in this respect.
This is acceptable behavior in a GOP dystopia. The NRA would have preferred the used of guns so their stock options in ammunition producers will make them all richer.
Actually I thought this was a lesson for Demtards that every death is not committed by a gun as there are many other weapons that can be used. In fact if she'd have had a gun and used it the right person would be dead!
This is one of those days where a home defense firearm in the home would have ended things differently. If you have enough time to put your iPad down and stroll on over to the kitchen...
As for "stock options in ammunition producers", ammunition isn't that expensive compared to say, a home alarm system. Or buying an automobile.
Not sure if you saw that it was the daughter that was on the ipad, not the mother.
Are you advocating for a minor, with limited life experience, to use deadly force in this situation? If she had shot him and saved the mother in a clear case of life endangerment, then we would all be hailing her, but if she had misinterpreted the situation do to her age and experience and shot......
I would not want to ever put a minor in a situation like that, nor should a minor have access to a firearm in the house.
The daughter did not 'stroll over to the kitchen. The out of control lunatic chased her mother into her bedroom. Two live witness's to this crime; I say terminate the bastard with extreme prejudice.
The proposal of a gun for home defense was for the Mother to be able to defend herself. But if it had to be the daughter to use it then so be it. Much better a live mother and dead father in this case - even if the daughter had to do it.
And the defense attorney will argue that the video was not taken legally and therefore admissable. That would suck
Judge Marianne Hinkle ordered him held with out bail.
Finally a judge with common sense. To many of these scumbags are let back loose on us. If I were living in Massachusetts I would probably vote for her.
I'd love to know the details of this story. Obviously he was in a fit of madness. Seems that usually is the result of a woman messing around with another man.
You have the best moniker for your comment - unknown. Stands for no knowledge right?
Um...more details would be nice. However, reading what's presented is also helpful. The story states she was his FORMER longtime girlfriend. FORMER (the operative word in that sentence) means he no longer has say in who she's "messing around with"...to most reasonable adults, at least - which he apparently was not.
Usually, it isn't.
how dare you blame her for this, you scumbag. She didn't deserved to die the way she did regardless of what YOU THINK she did. He stabbed her 34 times, how many more details can you possibly need to know that he was a monster. You should be ashamed of yourself.
missingmyfriend, im going to be fair here. I've seen a case where a woman took a 12 gage shotgun to her husbands head while he was sleeping and blew his brains out, and it went to court and the woman said that he had abused her, and they let her go.
So to recap, they let a murderer go because the murderer said her victim was an @!$%#.
Let me give you a couple of details ASSumer. #1 she dedicated 18 years of her life to this POS so there was no running out on him. #2 It was good for years and then he stared changing and since she loved him, she believed that he could change. #3 When she realized she was too good to be treated that way and he was not going to change she left him. He has his own issues to hash out. Sometimes ASSuming stuff makes you look like a donkey.
Don't execute this man, you just let him get out of punishment. When he dies he wins because he gets away with what he did.
This is why we have a death penalty. Firing Squad. Hanging. Electric Chair. Those should be his choices.
Letting the man go unpunished... isn't that what the death penalty is about?
Need to call for the outlaw of knifes and sharp objects. If it would save one life it would be worth it.
Sadly they do not have a death penalty.
I think it is stupid to call universal health care socialism. Socialism is our prison system...we ALL pay to keep these people alive. Their families should have to pay, and if they don't have families...well...then they don't eat.
This man's family should have to pay to keep him in prison? He is an adult, a mentally ill or psychotic person. If someone in your family commits a crime I bet your whole family will step up to pay for their incarceration with you leading the crowd.
Ahhh Americans...no sense of personal responsibility and comfortable justifying it.
I would do the job and it would cost less than $1.00. There is no way this should go to trial. Just submit the video and call it a day. My hope is that this girl can get past this some time in her life.
