I would never intentionally use bad grammar to get under somebodies skin (hehehe), it just comes naturally.

Women just get crazy about some things - my wife has spent 4 months getting ready for her nieces wedding (in 10 days) and racked up well over $500.00. I'll spend about 20 minutes getting ready.

If this tan woman is divorced - she won't have the kids for long. We'll see her on Hardcore Pawn hocking her wedding ring for more tanning sessions - and bus fare.

I think this story has more to do with an unfit mother and not with tanning. The woman probably left her children in the car more times than just to go tan. Almost anyone can have children, unfortunately they are not all fit to raise them.

Where do I start on this one? ......I guess the DUI suspension kinda tells the story best. It is important to look tanned and good for those late nights hanging at the bar because the "pale" chicks are the ones still there untill closing time. She needs to get her "hookup" before too late since she has to get home for the children. Of course without all those "hookups" she may not have those two little kids waiting in the car for her. Seems like a vicious circle. My guess is she will have 3 kids waiting in the car before too long.

How does not being taken care of properly by your parents, being left alone unattended, left in cars, etc., cause a child to grow up to be a "me first" person? If anything, they'll grow up to be a "me LAST" person. Geez.

airrika, parents who put themselves first are showing their children that putting your wants before others is the way to act. Parents are the primary role models in a childs life and children tend to emulate their parents. Children learn their values from the parents and if all they see is "Me First" then that is what they will think is good and right.

The world has always had stupid people in it. Nothing to do with our country or how it's changed over time. We just get to read about it all the time now because of the internet, and the fact that stories about people doing normal, intelligent things just aren't as interesting.

The chances of someone kidnapping or killing your kid are practically zero. I'd be more worried about them wandering off or putting the car in drive (like I did when I was a kid).

Smeado - not only the chances of kidnapping or killing, but how about when a kids die because they suffocate or die of heat exhausion. With summer and warmer weather coming we all need to remember that it gets hot in a car quickly on a hot day.

I'd be more worried about some sicko taking the kids, not for money, but for their own personal enjoyment. Those are the kids you find buried in shallow graves 10yrs later, or never find again.

They take kids away from moms who are at home with their kids just for having smoked pot (not even in front of their kids), but they don't take away the kids from a mom who has abandoned them in an unlocked, running vehicle, free to run around on the street and risk getting run over or kidnapped, or free to try driving the car and killing themselves and others...all because her tanning fix is more important. I don't get it.

Call any Child protective service in any city or state. If a complaint is filed they will remove the child if around drugs or aperson who uses or has just used drugs and you will be sent for a drug test that day..

on the bright side at least the little girl knew she wasn't aloud to talk to strangers!

Nice thinking. You teach children that police officers are safe to talk to, not avoid. You ignore the police officer, he then is required to call CPS and you end up sitting in foster care till the issue is resolved

Mike, when I was growing up, I was taught that the policeman was my friend. I remember when I was about 7yrs old going to some church thing after school, my brothers and I got separated. I went to the policeman that was standing on the corner, and he called my parents.

I always knew if there was any trouble, that the police would help me.

Children should never be taught to fear the police. Yes, there are some bad cops, but for the most part they are there to help.

Give it time. Some smart lawyer will come up with some defense that tanning is a constitutional right, or that she was raised in an unhappy household and that caused her to become addicted to tanning.

she's badly in need of therapy and a few 12-step programs for sure. she is the product of a dysfunctional home, which is what she has created for her own kids. it is too bad that people are allowed to breed without being licensed. at least half the world wouldn't pass the test, which is fine for everyone else. the world is already overpopulated.
