I am curious to see exactly what these letters say. So far this entire case has been based solely on the word of the accusers, many of whom are seeing dollar signs in the form of their planned civil suits against the charity and Penn State. There has not been any physical evidence disclosed yet and these letters are the first indication that they have anything beyond the word of the accusers. One of the original accusers has already been shown to be a liar with evidence that he was not even on a trip with the team during which he claimed Sandusky molested him. I am not saying that Sandusky is innocent, but I would like to see more than just these kids words before I convict him. I remember all too well the McMartin preschool fiasco out here in CA that turned out to be nothing but a bunch of kids being pressured to lie by greedy parents who saw dollar signs from a big civil case. As such, I do not trust when one story coming out results in all these me too claims, particularly when the claims are about something that supposedly happened many years ago and there is no physical evidence available. Even McQueary finally admitted that he never saw any sexual contact between Sandusky and the boy, after his story about the events and time-line about what he told who and when he told them changed several times. Sandusky may well be guilty, he is certainly guilty of poor judgement showering with these young kids, but as yet no proof has been offered. If Sandusky is guilty he should spend the rest of his life in prison, but until evidence is presented that is still a big if.

There is not going to be any proof, as in a lot of sexual assaults. Unless marks or bodily fluid are present what proof do you expect? I too would like to see if he has incriminated himself in these letters but I doubt he did, being as educated as he is. That's what makes this case so sad. I have to think to myself what is more important, the children he will continue to be around or their safety. The next time it might be the child won't be able to testify, is that worth it? Take the lawsuit out of the picture and what you have is boys and now men are claiming the same thing happened to them in his care. I don't need proof if it means he will not have a chance to prove these kids/men are telling the truth, one less assault. It would be nice it this guy would just stop wasting tax payers money and put an end to his twisted thinking.

I don't believe anybody is seriously advocated this man be simply strung up. But there is certainly probable cause to bring charges and to try him in a court of law.

No one is hounding her because she was found not guilty, and there is nothing new for the media to report. Sandusky is facing trial, not living in the aftermath of a not guilty verdict.

And prosecutors don't even know who that alleged victim is. He hasn't been identified.

How does a six-foot-tall man have anal sex with a ten-year-old boy standing up? I have asked this several times on different forums, and no one has answered me. Forced intercourse with an adult man is painful and destructive; a boy would require medical attention. The "victim" has stated definitively that he was not victimized. The evidence in this case started thin, and now is falling apart.

JS in SD, you need to read the grand jury report. Don't base your decision on some half witted news article from a local paper or internet website. Read the actual indictment and you'll see why he was charged. Obviously the grand jury felt the evidence was sufficient enough. And now the fed's are investigating him too so it looks like they think there's something to this also. You along w/many others are relying on internet news to base your assumptions. Read some legal documents. Very compelling stuff.

People need to calm down about these letters. We don't know what is in them and may not know until the trial starts. The term bizarre could be in regards to something completely different, but we don't know since no other details are being shared. All we know is that a source of some kind decided to share with the news media to hype up some of the evidence that Prosecutors have possibly among other pieces that have yet to be discussed until the trial begins.

I am wondering why the victims need to use their real names. Suffice to say they should be able to say, "yes, that is my name " to a typed paper. So the courts would have their real names, but they could still have some privacy. women that are rape victims do not have their names dragged through the media. Or they aren't supposed to, unless they willingly let the courts use their real name.

While I realize that the victims have nothing to be ashamed of, and it was certainly not their fault, I'm not blaming them. But if they could keep their names out of the newspapers, it would be nicer for them.

If he started it in '77 his victims would have been what roughly 13/14ish? Making them in their late 40's or early 50's. A generation that doesn't usually broadcast their past. It's also possible that he did start later in life or that his early victims were not associated with his charity. Much like addicts pedophile's will give themselves a set of rules. Initially he might have had a rule that he would keep his professional life away from that and as the years progressed that went away.

We had one die an unexplained death on a Friday night, and the guards all smiled and said, "there are a whole bunch of little children that will sleep good this weekend." We couldn't take him out of the prison until Monday morning. because the count must be accurate. so we left him in his cell until Monday when the count was changed. LOL.
