The man who mauled off a homeless man's face over Memorial Day weekend apparently had no human flesh in his stomach, a report shows.
Law-enforcement sources told the Miami Herald an autopsy revealed 31-year-old Rudy Eugene had undigested pills in his stomach but no human flesh. The pills have not yet been identified.
Eugene was fatally shot by an officer after he refused to stop chewing on Ronald Poppo's face along the MacArthur Causeway.

Though officials have speculated bath salts may have sparked Eugene's wild behavior, it remains unknown what prompted the attack.
Girlfriend of face-eating attacker blames drugs or voodoo
Officials told the Herald a preliminary review found marijuana in Eugene's system. Those who knew Eugene said he was known to smoke marijuana but the drug is not known to cause violent spurts.
A source also told the newspaper Eugene did not have his two front teeth but that chunks of flesh were found between his teeth. The source also said pieces of flesh were found on the floor of the scene.

Officials said the autopsy report would not be released to the public until the investigation into the shooting concludes - a process that could take more than a year.
Poppo, meanwhile, continues in critical condition in the hospital.

All this talk about zombies is rubbish. Any of you who bring politics, the police, gays or anything not related to this story are idiots. This psyco needed killing as they all do. I don't care about what motivated him, I don't care if his face was eaten when he was a child, I don't care about drugs he ingested or anything else. This world is getting too small and too crowded with humans to even look into it. When something heinous like this happens and especially when it is being witnessed, filth like this needs to be killed immediately and no questions asked. Investigate the shooting???? Humans are stupid in the aggregate and will lead themselves to self destruction. We are the only animal species on earth that go all out to protect the warped, the mindless, the deformed and every possible freak that gets born. We even allow them to procreate! Every other species kills aberrations in its kind immediately. You'd kill a rat that was eating a baby in its crib, wouldn't you? No, some of you would gently capture the rat and pyscoanalyze its motives, look into its past, lament about how badly it was treated as a youth and, of course, use the press to try to convince the world how much potential for good this rat actually possesses if only given a chance. Of course, the victim of the crime is of no consequence to you. May something like this happen to one of your closest loved ones. Then I will be glad to hear your opinion on the subject! Ho there a minute Georgieboy. If we go around without checks and balances by way of due process of the law, then we would open the way for lawless justice where lynch mobs could on their own authority exterminated those they deemed a treat to the communities. We've had that kind of law in the past and it was messed up. The system we have is not perfect however it is the best we have at the moment. Do the criminals receive way too much compassion, I say yes. Was the cop justified in this shooting, without a doubt. People still have to ask the hard questions though, otherwise power becomes corrupt. That's the reality of it whether you like it or not.
If we just legalized drugs, eating someones face would be socially acceptable. Education would help also; pot then pizza, not pot then face.

It sounds like whoever he went to go meet he was going to get messed up with before this concert.. Maybe this unknown friend either gave him these undigested pills he found or even smoked some dosed weed with him without telling him... PEOPLE HE DIDNT EAT THE FLESH, the autopsy said so, so he isnt a zombie or under some curse.... Its the antichrist known as science that can give you the answer to this, someone added a foreign chemical to his body, which caused hallucinations. The biggest problem I have with this whole story is that not one report has been about where Rudy had gone before all of this. He also was deeply into religion, mixed with an psychoactive drug than you can get some pretty gruesome results.
Whether he actually ingested the flesh or not is beside the point, it was a very disturbing way to attack another person. Ewwwwwwww.
I would bet that when all the facts are in the story will be different than what the police suggest.

No flesh in the stomach and possibly missing two front teeth. I sure hope the police have better evidence or a good lawyer will reap the family some money. It would be kind of hard to find flesh between teeth that aren't there. I find it funny so many of you have all the facts when you weren't there.
