Two Border Patrol agents have been put on paid leave after audience members complained they engaged in a sex act while attending a Cirque du Soleil theater performance in San Diego County.
Kallie Helwig, 24, and Gerald Torello, 35, were in the audience watching the show under a circus tent at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on March 27. They were off-duty at the time and were not in uniform, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Spectators told sheriff’s deputies they saw the two touching each other inappropriately.
“According to the reporting party, they believed that the two folks, the suspects, were engaging in inappropriate behavior while sitting in stands with families around them,” sheriff’s Lt. Kenn Nelson told msnbc.com.
One witness told NBCSanDiego.com that the pair appeared to be engaging in oral sex. The witness, who asked not to be named, said she told the two to stop but they didn’t. She said two children turned around and also saw the couple in the compromising position. The male agent gave one of the children a high-five as this was happening, the witness said.
The couple eventually stopped when an usher approached, the witness said.
After the performance, as the crowd was exiting, Helwig allegedly punched one of the complaining patrons in the face, Nelson said.
"My vision went black, and that was the last thing I felt," the patron told NBC San Diego.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived. Helwig was cited for misdemeanor battery. Torello was taken to the sheriff's substation in Encinitas, cited for public intoxication and released.
“This is not an everyday call,” Nelson said.
“This call was handled exactly as it would have been with any other citizen. The fact that these folks were with the Border Patrol had no influence on how the call was handled.”
The Customs and Border Patrol released the following statement about the incident:
“All Customs and Border Protection (CBP) employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner while on or off duty. CBP stresses honor and integrity in every aspect of our mission, and the overwhelming majority of CBP employees and officers perform their duties with honor and distinction, working tirelessly every day to keep our country safe. CBP takes every allegation of misconduct seriously and fully cooperates in the investigation of such allegations. Presently, the two employees in question have been assigned administrative duties.”
Both agents have been with the Customs and Border Patrol since 2008.
Helwig and Torello could not immediately be reached by telephone for comment on Tuesday.

I've been to Cirque du Soleil events before. Those seats aren't roomy enough to be able to get a blow job. Seriously - was she on her knees? The rows aren't wide enough. Was she just bent over in her seat? Again, the seats are so close together, there'd be no way.

You know, when I first saw the story I pictured the couple doing sex tricks while suspended above the audience. I was a little disappointed after reading the article.
If this was fauxnews there would be calls for Holder to resign. What the hell Holder? Didn't you know this is what agents were doing during fast and furious?

Fox News isn't calling for Holder to resign, members of Congress are because he refuses to answer the subpoena he was served many months ago. If you or I refused to answer a Congressional subpoena we'd be thrown in prison immediately. Wait until it heats up a little bit more, I got $5 that says President Obama is going to throw him under the bus.
The Attorney General testified eight times and provided more than 8,000 pages of documents to Darrell Issa's (a former car thief) House Committee on Investigations. Issa's stated purpose of the incessant investigations isn't to root out corruption; it's purely political. He wants to keep the Administration tied up with testimony and subpoenas.
Issa wants to have the Attorney General held in contempt because none of the documents provided implicate his office of anything, so there must be more, right? Of course, the gun-running sting actually began under the Bush Administration and continued under the Obama Administration. As far as any objective observer can tell, the operations were conceived and executed at the field level, without prior knowledge or consent from Washington.
CPB is under the Department of Homeland Security, not the Justice Department.
Gotta love that field level authority that lets you write 40 million dollars into a stimulus bill and then task other agencies to form a joint task force.
Just another example of the mentality of our government "servants" - that they are specially privileged, laws do not apply to them. You saw it with the secret service with their cheap orgy, you have it every day with the TSA thugs molesting women and children (or men, depending on their preference), here with the border patrol, and every day with the police. Wow, these two are adults! They should have made the appropriate decision and held off till after the show. WE (yes about 95% of you reading this) have all been in their, umm... shoes before at least one time or another in life, but most of us probably handled it with a little more class.
Let's forget about where these fine individuals work or what they do for a living and remember this... "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone"!
Otherwise... let's move on there are more important issues out there than this.

What sex???? The article clearly states that the couple were "touching inappropriately". That does not mean that they were having sex. Did you ever cop a feel at the movies? I did, was it inappropriate? Yes! Was it sex? NO!
The report, Rweber, goes on to asset the two were engaged in oral sex, not merely touching at an inappropriate venue, one wherein families with small children were watching a stylized circus performance, not a porno film.
This is unusual conduct for federal agents, despite all the rotten publicity garnered with the Secret Service agents stepping out of line in Cartagena.
These two agents don't deserve their pocket commission, my advice is separation from service, immediately, not suspension, not a disciplinary letter in the file. FIRE BOTH OF THEM!!
