Rodney Alcala, now 68, has been behind bars since his 1979 arrest in a California killing. He appeared on a 1978 episode of "The Dating Game," the innuendo-filled matchmaking show that was a hit in its era.
NEW YORK - A man already convicted and on California's death row for the decades-old murders of four women and a 12-year-old girl now faces charges in the slayings of two Manhattan women in the 1970s.
Rodney Alcala was scheduled for arraignment Thursday for the deaths of Trans World Airlines flight attendant Cornelia Crilley and aspiring researcher Ellen Hover, both 23.
It was unclear who would represent Alcala or even whether he would have a lawyer. A former photographer with an IQ said to top 160, Alcala represented himself at his California trial that ended with his convictions in 2010 for the five murders. He is appealing.
Decades of suspicion, an indictment last year and 18 months of legal maneuvering over extraditing him culminated Wednesday with his arrival in New York City on a U.S. Marshals Service plane. He was placed in police custody.
'One brick at a time'
Alcala was indicted only recently, after the Manhattan district attorney's cold-case unit re-examined the cases, looked at evidence that emerged during the California trial and conducted new interviews with more than 100 witnesses.
California authorities had said they were exploring whether Alcala could be tied to cases in New York and other states, and they had released more than 100 photos, found in his storage locker, of young women and girls.
California authorities say that they have had hundreds of tips to the photos released in the Rodney Alcala case. Msnbc's Alex Witt reports.
"These cases were built one brick at a time, as each new lead brought us closer to where we are today," District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said when Alcala was indicted, adding that he hoped the indictment "brings a small measure of peace to the families and friends who have spent decades searching for answers, and justice."
Crilley was found, strangled with a stocking, in her Manhattan apartment in 1971. Hover was living in Manhattan when she vanished in 1977. Her remains were found the next year in the woods on a suburban estate.
Hover had a degree in biology and was seeking a job as a researcher, a private investigator for her family said at the time. A talented pianist, Hover was "enamored of the counterculture of the 1960s," cousin Sheila Weller wrote in a 2010 Marie Claire magazine piece about Hover's death. Weller has said she's gratified by his indictment in her cousin's death; she declined Wednesday to elaborate.
Hover's father, comedy writer Herman Hover, had been an owner of the one-time Hollywood hotspot Ciro's.
Her disappearance and Crilley's death made headlines and spurred extensive searches. TWA offered a $5,000 reward for information about Crilley's killing. Hover's relatives papered walls and kiosks with posters.
Lunch date
A note in Hover's calendar for the day she vanished showed she planned to have lunch with a photographer she had recently met, according to the family's private detective and news reports at the time. Her lunch date's name, authorities later said, was an alias that Alcala used.
Alcala had been eyed in Crilley's death for at least several years. New York Police Department detectives investigating her killing went to California in 2003 with a warrant to interview Alcala and get a dental impression from him.
A forensic dentist later found that a bite mark on Crilley's body was consistent with Alcala's impression, a law enforcement official has said. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Alcala, now 68, has been behind bars since his 1979 arrest in one of the California killings. Before that arrest, he also served a prison sentence on convictions of furnishing marijuana to a minor and kidnapping and trying to kill an 8-year-old girl.
California detectives investigating the Rodney Alcala murders are receiving tips from the public after releasing a series of photographs apparently taken by Alcala in the 1970s. Msnbc's Lynn Berry talks with investigative reporter Michelle Sigona.
He also had attended college and worked briefly as a typist at The Los Angeles Times, according to a 1979 story in the newspaper.
And he had made his way onto a 1978 episode of "The Dating Game," the innuendo-filled matchmaking show that was a hit in its era.
Introduced as a photographer with a yen for motorcycling and skydiving, the long-haired, leisure-suited Alcala won the contest. But the woman who chose him over two other contestants ultimately didn't go on a date with him, according to news reports.
His conviction last year came after a series of trials, overturned convictions and strange courtroom moments. Acting as his own lawyer, Alcala offered a rambling defense that included questioning the mother of one of his victims, showing a clip of his appearance on "The Dating Game" and playing Arlo Guthrie's 1967 song "Alice's Restaurant."
Alcala fought his extradition to New York, saying he needed to stay in California to attend court hearings and do other preparatory work on his appeal. The California Supreme Court rejected his argument last month.

Another monster who preyed upon the unsuspecting - like Ted Bundy. I hope this is the murderer of Ms. Crilley and Ms. Hover just to provide answers to the families but he's been breathing much longer than he deserves. The killing of adult women just wasn't enough. He had to go after children as well. There are no words to describe such a sick, twisted beast.
Yes it takes a real sicko to go after children.
The artical mis-stated one fact. He did not get convicted of trying to kill the 8 year old. Her family moved to mexico and took her out of the country before his trial they had no choice but to drop the charges and release this monster!
@chefaz:
apparently there are
@jakester:
So brutally murdering a bunch of young women is just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill sicko?
he's also costing tax payers quite a bit of money all these years....looks a little like Howard Stern too....
Sure glad we kept this creep alive all these years.
I guess we can thank those who hate the death penalty.
They should have done him in when they had him the first time with trying to kill the little girl, would have saved allot of lives , I guess that that would not be PC or a nice thing to do, after all he is human right? attempted murder is as evil as a successful murder and we don't need to warehouse these POS scumbags, California had him California let him go, the victims and the nation paid, who should share the blame on those killings? they never should have happened.
Just like the right to a speedy trial, he's entitled to a speedy death. What a joke...he's going to get the same death sentence as most people, he's going to die of old age.
He doesn't look at all like Howard Stern. He looks more like Tiny Tim.
So this guy has been on death row since 1979? That's 33 years. That is ridiculous. Why is he even still alive? At least if the dirt-bag represents himself tax payers don't have to foot the defense lawyers bill. Now there will more delays and possibly more trials and more tax money down the tubes for a guy already on death row. It's important for the families his potential victims to know what happened to their loved ones but it's too bad he gets yet another trial. I wish we could just beat a confession out of him instead.
He shouldn't enjoy the personal freedom and liberty to grow his hair long - when he snuffed out the lives of so many others - scalp him and make him wear his dead victim's hair!
Hmmm... Yes, actually there are two words to describe him - "PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER." To him, killing people, young or old, is about the same as an average person killing a fly or a mosquito.
He must be in "special or isolated custody" in prison, because he still is alive. Released to the general population, more likely than not, he would not last long.
It still might be possible for him to die while in custody - at the hands of another psychopathic inmate, or from natural causes, without being executed.
That's correct, Shake-Boy. There are no words to fully describe someone as diabolical as this alcala. Did you watch the video??? All of it??? You can toss adjectives around all day long but to my knowledge there is nothing that would fully capture a description of someone who would kidnap, rape, strangle, resuscitate and restart the torture of it's victims. If you know of a word, by all means please share it with us. Thanks.
WhistleBerries, I get your meaning but considering what he's done and how he did it...mmm...I'll stand by my original post.
Get 'em, chefaz.
Hey......!
This piece of trash should have been executed years ago. Thanks to the bleeding hearts, the tax payers are forced to support garbage like this.
Hey Miss Deanna!!!
How's it going??? ☺
OK! You?
This thread's kinda boring; Might have to find another. ;-)
@chefaz
Just pointing out the obvious irony in your statement. You started with "There are no words to describe" and then you actually did use three words to describe within the very same sentence. I believe the words were sick, twisted and beast. Not only did they describe, I thought they were pretty accurate in their description.
Good Day!
(snicker) Ok Shake-boy, you just keep poking that sleeping pitbull with a stick.............

Evidently they don't have mirrors in prison.
Shake boy, quit nit-picking.
Still there Miss Deanna???
WHO ME??? nah...not at all. But lemme "pick a bone with you". Now I want a Snickers bar and the car's not here!!! ☺
Still here, Sugar. ( but I can't type; took me 3 times to type sugar correctly. LOL)
Stranded? WIth no car AND no chocolate? *Gasp! Horror!
Yeah, it's liberals who kept this guy alive, not the crooked cops and district attorneys who fix cases against innocent people to grab headlines. How many innocent people have been put to death just because someone is outraged? The list is long. You people are talking about revenge, not justice. America is country of laws, not of men. He'll get his, though there's no way he'll get the kind of punishment he truly deserves. I suggest you take some solace in the man who beat the molester of his five year old daughter to death. maybe that will cool your blood-lust a little until the next outrage. And don't forget to blame your political enemy for it.
"I suggest you take some solace in the man who beat the molester of his five year old daughter to death."
I think we should give him (the father) a medal.
Is that Mah Doc?
@floyd-335513
Why? My friends frequently tell me I've got quite a nit-wit.

Good Day!
"I've got quite a nit-wit."
oh boy. So, we're just at different levels of funny...............
Ok, ok. Standing down.
............and that must not be Mah Doc. He would've answered me.
shake boy "So brutally murdering a bunch of young women is just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill sicko?"
Did I say "run of the mill"? Are you saying he is NOT a sicko?? If so you are terribly mistaken
creep
Why waste the money to convict him? Bullets are a lot cheaper...
Due Process - apprehend - trial - conviction - death sentence - decades of appeal - millions of tax payer funds expended.
Should go more like this----apprehend - Convicted - death sentence - six months to appeal - immediate implentation upon second conviction.
Seems so simple.
Better yet 30 days to appeal, execute the following day. one .22 round in back of head by a volunteer dispose of the body in a land fill, no last meal its a waste of food he wont be needing it. the dump would make a nice location for the execution he can see his worth before he goes. its as simple and cheep as taking out the trash.
well I guess george zimmerman will be happy to know a conviction and execution will be coming very soon. Those republicans sure like to pull the trigger
Thank you 'freedom'. I think the reason we have this ridiculous allowance for criminals is because people don't connect the actual cost with themselves. It's all a big government write off. And then they complain about taxes or how some groups are running out of money (e.g. Social Security). If we give all our money to support criminals, yeah, we take it from some place else.
I wholeheartedly agree with Churchill when he said Democracy seems like a great idea until you actually go up and talk to the average man on the street.
marklepwe....show me a Democrat who wouldn't want to execute this guy???? Really, why drag politics into this so early in the discussion???
The long allowance for criminals exists because there's always a chance that the person might be innocent, in some cases more than others. The process has to be the same for everyone, regardless of how guilty they are. The problem with a shorter process followed by the death penalty is that there may be evidence that takes longer than 30 days to get. The person would be executed, evidence collected after their death might prove them innocent, and the media makes a big stink over it.
FREEDOM...How about borrowing from the Cardasians (Startrek"s Cardasians, not the Hollywood kind with a K) When Chief O'brian was accused by the Cardasians of spying, The judge opened the trial thusly: "The charge is spying. The verdict is guilty. Now, let the trial begin." <><><> Live long and prosper!
No One: Great post, however, when the evidence is either right in front of your face and/or proven without any doubt (admission of guilt, etc) and the death penalty is handed down, there shouldn't be that policy of allowing appeals. Six months and that's it, death as decreed. Criminals are now moving into this new generation where current (within the last 25 years) crimes are almost automatically decided on DNA results, dental impressions, better fingerprint processes, etc. that not that many perps don't get tagged correctly.
Why would ANYONE, party aside, want to keep this monster alive and support him for the rest of his life? He was convicted and sentenced, and that sentence should have been carried out decades ago.
Thomas Jefferson was of the opinion that a man found guilty of murder should be taken to the hanging tree the following day
Matilda, I find your Point quite interesting and would like to subscribe to your newsletter...........
How bout put them up in a luxury hotel and feed them well for the next thirty years (just as ridiculous a suggestion)
Though, yours would cost less and be right once in a while, maybe......worth concidering........
Yes, Matilda. Gul Madred would know how to deal with this!
"How many lights do you see?
Should go more like this----apprehend - Convicted - death sentence - six months to appeal - immediate implentation upon second conviction.
Seems so simple.
Right up to the time you see all the wrongly convicted people going free because they were railroaded. Or when you see evidence was planted or suppresed by over zealous prosecutors who have politics in mind etc
You have a point, breadex. This is why so many are against the death penalty.
But wouldn't you agree that 33 years on death row is a bit.......err......overkill?
Since California doesn't execute prisoners, he's just spent 33 years in prison, not on death row. Didn't California revoke their death penalty back in the 70s after the Manson family was tried and that's why all of them are still alive in prison?
Wow - how much money has been spent keeping this guy alive, in prison, all the times in court, legal processes etc - ever since bloody 1979! I mean wtf, he's killed so many people already, and already has the death sentence.
GET RID OF HIM!?!?! and save millions!!
It would be great to have the death penalty served within 1 year. Done. No more appeals wasting money. However there are still people around who want to keep these creeps alive on our tax dollar. Why can't the people who don't want the death penalty pay an extra tax to support death row?
I'll second that, all in favor.
I have a stupid question, Why spend all that money and time on new charges and another trial when he is already convicted and going to die any way. Seems that that money could be put to better use and save the tax payers some money.
Redeagle - the new charges are so that the families of those victims can get closure as well.
sadly, the time-wasting lawyers have jammed our courts. time to stop the death penalty.
No, time to change the death sentence proccess. (see above)
....time to install an express lane:confessed to the murders, guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (found with murder weapon / DNA evidence)...
...6 month appeal process, then juice 'em.
Maybe its time to enforce the death penalty. and if a lawyer looses his case he should forfit pay. its the only occupation other then a politician wher you make big bucks if you accomplish your task or not, its all about money (our money). the legal system needs a overhaul, try this plantif sues defendant for 1 mill, plantif looses ordered to pay defendant said amount, 1 mill to the defendant, lawyer looses case recieves no pay, ordered to pay court cost. lets see how many lawyers will want to do all these humanitarian appeals when it cost them to do so, that will narrow it down a bit, just remove the profit from the equasion and the problem will solve its self.
@ D Buck: A lot of convicted felons file law suits without the help of a lawyer, quite a few prisons have extensive law libraries. The felons say it's their right to have one. They also are entitled to the appeals process. Unfortunately, they clog up our legal system with frivilous law suits.
is that Howard stern ?
Looks like Howard Stern to me too. SICKO!!!!
His execution should have happened years ago. Convictions should have a six-month appeal process, vigorously supported by the prosecution. After that period, a swift enactment of the punishment.
The problem is that shortening the process would take work away from the lawyers (who happen to write the laws)
Wonder how it would look if farmers were the bulk of politicos?
I once went on The Dating Game or a similar show, and while I did not win I did get a ride home with a male contestant...who told me he had a prison record. Those shows should vet those contestants much more carefully. In this case, one of the female contestants proved to be a very lucky girl.
Poor, poor boy. He's a victim of the modern age with what this country has done with the Native Americans and slavery and allowing ordinary blokes running around with guns that cause all our troubles! A brilliant mind lost forever to our inhumane penal system. Poor, poor boy. He should be set free to run with the Unicorns and the butterfly would surely adorn his head like a living wreath. A. Libby.
Stonehead are you stupid or just plain nuts. This field should have neen put down years ago like the rabbid dog he is.
Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone but that was sarcasm. Shhhhhh-it's a secret. A. Libby was about the fifth clue. Remember, don't tell ANYONE- this is just between me and you.........
Actually, stonepipe, it was a heavy-handed attempt at sarcasm.
It came across as rather tasteless, pointless and stupid, not even a near miss.
If you disliked stonepipe's comment, yer really gonna hate this:
"Bachelorette Number Two, if you could do only one thing before you die, what would it be?"
No, denver bill, your comment is funny.
It makes all the difference.
Stoney,,I'm sorry,,,I have to appologize for the replies,,,I had really thought by now that everyone had acknowledged the existance of unicorns,,,SO,,,even though you were trying to post a secret,,there are still a few,,of the general populace that doesn't know about the unicorn and butterfly,,however,,I know about them and I fully understood your post,,,what I don't get,,is why the media, feels it necessary,,to report on this. This like starting yet,,,another discussion about who,,really shot JFK,,,OH,,,wait a minute,,,they did,,,and the actual assassin was seen,,riding away on said unicorn.
dman- in the past month or so I have read from the far, far left that Pearl Harbor attack was justified, a Mosque should have been built on the Ground Zero site, it is the guns fault not what personal choices one makes, no empathy for our armed forces who are suffering mentally&physically and am quite perplexed by this. Funny, my whole life I judged people for what they were not the color of their skin or who they slept with and despised the hypocritical thinking of the far right and when asked I would have said I was pretty much a Lib. Until, I met some.

And Arthur, according to my wife I must be the second shooter on the grassy knoll. :)
dman et al*** *** *** Actually, I thought Stonepipe's venture into sarcasm quite good. Could it be that someone was too--uh--dull to catch it ???
Stoney,,,,that's not that bad,,,at one point my wife,,swore up and down,,,that I had planned the whole event,,,and I had to remind her that I was only 14 years old when that happened,,,and she replied with,,,"what's age got to do with it?",,,and now you understand why we are divorced,,,,No really,,this article is like so many,,,,why do we need to hear about an event this old,,and about a nut job,,who is already on death row for commiting,,God knows how many murders,,,and they still haven't executed him,,,and now they want to bring up,,that he commited other murders,,,talk about the definition of the word,,"redundant"
...or that some who rode the little bus to school are very easily amused, Matilda ???
I've not seen anybody suggest that this ex-Dating Game contestant should not be punished for his crimes. Stonepipe aimed his silly sarcasm at a non-existent ideological target, and it manifested all the wit of a fart in church, which also makes some people laugh.
"Shhhhhh-it's a secret." (snicker)
""Bachelorette Number Two, if you could do only one thing before you die, what would it be?"" LOL
"and now you understand why we are divorced" ROFL
Another shining example of why capital punishment should be abolished. CA taxpayers have shelled out millions to keep this POS on death row. Seems CA taxpayers would rather flush untold amounts of tax dollars down the crapper by keeping death row low-lifes in the penal process for an eternity than putting tax dollars towards education (re: there was an article a couple days ago about a teacher who was awarded Teacher of the Year and then got pink slipped because of budget woes.)
If you have CP on the books then USE IT or put it out to pasture.
Capital punishment should be abolished???? How about appeals should be and executions should be carried out the next morning. Why you would want a worthless pos like this to live a lifetime under taxpayer provided care is beyond me. String the MFer up and send him to hell where he belongs.
I understand what you were getting at with your comment, just my 2 cents worth on the subject.
The problem is the holdy-handy-tippy-toers that this PC society panders to.
There is always a chance of being wrong - tighten the parameters of conviction With DNA-video-witness's there is no reason to place a person on perpetual death row.
one appeal within six months and immediate implementation upon second conviction.
but to do nothing is still doing it wrong.
I'm not sure you can say 'burn baby burn' or 'hang 'em high' without offending someone. Like shackle shoes or the like.
Sheriff Cobb: Silverado
For the people who made light of this...take a look at the photos that were found that belonged to this jerk. It could be someone that you know. What if it were a family member....would you feel different? My uncle was murdered by a neighbor that had been on death row but PARDONED. The man also raped my uncles' 12 year old daughter when he abducted them both from their home. My uncle was missing for probably 5 weeks before his remains were found. I can't describe the pain that we felt....waiting and hoping that he was alive. How can his daughter ever be normal after being raped by the man that killed her father? The S.O.B that did this was sentenced to life in prison....but who knows if it gets too crowded the system might have to let him out again. So you better be careful and remember that killers look normal in the neighborhood....Convicted killers should be put to death within a year of the sentence. It is so unfair that our tax dollars pay to keep heathens alive for years and years.
mds, can you imagine how UN-PC John Wayne (in any of his westerns) or Clint Eastwood (from the spagetti westerns) would be today? Or Clint in Heartbreak Ridge?
I personally think that we need more men like Gunnery Sgt Highway-even if he IS fictional.
Oilman - if you scanned through the article, you might have noticed this paragraph:
The crimes of which he was convicted may have been decades old, but the conviction occurred in 2010 and the appeal process is less than 2 years old.
I'm against the death penalty, but only because I don't trust our [or any nation's] criminal justice system to evenly, and fairly apply it against all accused individuals. I do not believe that it represents cruel and unusual punishment, or that it is unconstitutional. I'd vote against if it came up for a vote in my home state. But if I were responsible for prosecuting criminals, I'd pursue the death penalty in every murder case where the laws provide for it.
Some criminals clearly deserve to be executed. This man is clearly such a criminal.
On a more general basis, your point regarding the cost of maintaining condemned murderers for years on death row is important. But it is more evidence of abuse of process by lawyers for the condemned and death penalty opponents, than it is a reason to abolish the death penalty. Appeals of death sentences are conducted serially in many cases, with each cause for appeal pursued to conclusion before raising the next one. Sometimes it takes over 20 years before the process is exhausted.
This is clearly abuse of process. We should be able to find some balance between nations such as China, where condemned criminals are typically executed within weeks of sentencing, and here, where murderers grow old before facing lethal injection.
I would suggest putting a time limit on raising new causes for appeal. After perhaps 3 years, no further appeals can be raised , unless they relate to new, exculpatory evidence.
But abolish the death penalty because some death penalty opponents make so difficult and expensive to administer? No, no way, no how.
Burn baby burn! Murdering P.O.S.
HANG HIM HIGH!!!!
A genius with a penchant for tormenting and strangling women.
That's a bad combination. Most murderers get caught due to stupid, avoidable mistakes. This guy may have finally been caught, but one wonders how many other murders he may have committed of which law enforcement will never know.
It's like Jerry Sandusky. How many little boys did he really sexually abuse/rape?
Just how does one become a psychopath? Is it a brain chemistry thing, or neglect as an infant, or just a good combination?
Carry out the death sentence and then ask those questions during the autopsy.
Too much television.
Over exposure to Liberals!
I guess that's the same as to much TV as a child.
Why was a man that tried to kidnap and murder an 8 year old EVER allowed out of jail? So many lives could have been saved. Trying to murder an 8 year old indicates someone who would always be a threat to society. Capital punishment after that attempt would have eliminated that scum and saved innocent people.
Why was a man that tried to kidnap and murder an 8 year old EVER allowed out of jail?
I was wondering that too. Anyone who would even think of hurting a little girl like that should not have been released in the first place.
Appatently the 8 year olds family moved out of the country and charges were dropped, that's my understanding.
@ wiggles, It was in California nuf said, you know! it was the right thing to do at the time. myself I would have killed the bastard but then I'm not worried about being PC or nice, I used to be a liberal in the sixties and seventies then I woke up from that dream and saw that they are destroying this nation with their correctness, I sat down with my kids one day and really paid some attention to what they were watching on TV on sat morning the TV found a new home and that was replaced by walks in the country, fishing, camping, weekend trips, board games things like that. but even that wasn't enough the damn libs were infesting the school system, and it became necessary to have long conversations at the dinner table after dinner to deprogram the kids of all the liberal BS they were being indoctrinated into, their ages are now 27 - 34 - and 38 they are not obese they all work and earn a good income, they are active in their off time with the same activities I introduced them to as children they are not overly liberal or overly conservative they are capable of their own thought and reason they are middle minded Americans, what I'm saying is pay attention because being liberal is a contagious mental disorder, they will go after your kids in the most disgusting way like Pretty colorful flags in parades or skits in the Muppet's thing's to attract children and program their thinking they will have your children thinking collectively instead of independently they will teach them that wrong is right and its all OK, they will tie up your rights in a attempt to gain their own rights, they will destroy the very fabric of society in a attempt to have things their way, if you look at the last 40 years its easy to see. they say things are going to be better but there not, things just keep getting worse. the pendulum swings right and left the only good place to be is in the center, I prefer slightly right, mostly center, right now the pendulum is way over to the far left not a good position at all. yep its time to clear out death row. they serve no purpose put them out of their misery, put that on Saturday morning TV.
This SOB along with charles manson should have been worm dirt a long time ago. The bleeding heart liberals don't want what they should really get.
Try not to lump all liberals together. I'm very liberal, enough so that I'd shoot him myself.
So there's hope for you Carl. Switch off the KOS and start reading history.
I'm old enough to have watched "The Dating Game." I'm trying to figure which is creepier, that TV show or Alcala.
The first thing I'd do with Alcala is shave him bald. He likes long hair? Make him a skinhead. There's no excuse for the POS still breathing air with the magnitude of his crimes.
@ Harry the Wise ya that will teach him cut of his hair.
Then can we kill him?
D Buck, that is so wrong but so funny at the same time.
Wanna borrow my .38? I'll even supply a box of ammo.......
" Wanna borrow my .38? I'll even supply a box of ammo....... "
Is that for kneecapping him 6 times on each knee and some spares?
Stay away from people that have a good line of bull that are too friendly and are personable.
The Judge and The Jury give the death sentence and in California it is never carried out. Since Judge and Jury is not at fault the problem is YOU. The People of this State that allow this. If you do not carry out the sentence that is given in a Court Of Law what good is it? The answer is: it's not and a complete farce. It is not about right or wrong, it is about the money that can be made to make years of appeals and keep the criminal alive and bilk the State (your money) of funds. Talk about Lambs being lead to the slaughter. So go to work. Pay the State your taxes and find that your Billions in debt and scratch your head and wonder why. Duh.
He's on death row. Why waste taxpayer money on another trial?
Because the families of these two victims want justice and closure!
I`m sure the tax paying people of New York want to spend millions to send this to trial to find him guilty just to sit on death row where he is sitting now the rest of his life. Makes no sense other then to make a few more attorneys richer.
He is a horrible horrible man he needs to fry TODAY nothing more nothing less.
Why is this SOB still alive ??
My sentiments exactly, why is this monster, who is not mad, but a cold, calculated murderer, still brathing on this Earth?
No possible good could come of another trial. This animal should have been put to death years ago. His continued existence has only cost the taxpayers millions while enriching the maggot lawyers. Put him down & investigate these cases with out his lying input. Cut off the gravy train for these vulture lawyers & deal out some justice for a change.
This S.O.B. has lived a nice long life in prison with the best of care that the liberal bleeding hearts can offer him. After all we can't have our prisoners SUFFER any kind of damage because they are "entitled" to the best of care.
The families of these women have had to deal with this every morning when waking up and every night going to sleep, if they did sleep. Mean while this P.O.S. had a secure cell to re-live his kills and has never ever said he was remorseful.
This is what is wrong with the appeals process. It protects the killer and makes the victim and families suffer a life time of hell.
