The vics were not drug dealers... They robbed drug dealers. Think Omar from The Wire, but with likely less badassery. This was clearly a retaliation hit and I guess NYC drug dealers can't afford or find a proper hit-man to carry it out.

First of all, you need to go back reread the article. 1 The three that were killed was robbing DRUG DEALERS. 2 The person that killed the three was a HIRED GUN. 3 No where that it say anything about any of them being ILLEGAL. Pratically every drug pusher lives in the area where he sells. They generally are children of parents who are hard working honest people whom are American born. People like you and your children. Do you think that your son will grow up to be a drug dealer? I say the odds are pretty good.

As for the hired gun, I suspect thst he wasn't hired at the street level, corner pusher. He was probably hired by some one hire up the chain that has connections.

I disagree w/ only 2 parts of your post... #s 1 and 3 were right on.. #2 seemed very speculative by the article writer.. I read no evidence that he was a hitman.. He could have been someone robbed by them who caught up w/ them.

The end part of your post... drug "pushers"? Thats propaganda from the decades long "war on drugs"... Nobody "pushes" drugs (the recreational ones at least) except for the MDs and PHDs that are in the pocket of big pharma. There are plenty of people looking for recreational party favors that to try and force them on someone who doesnt want them draws unwanted attention and is bad all around.

I'd bet that more than half of the people that buy larger size weights of drugs (just above street level amts) are a group of friends that are combining their recreational funds together to get a better price, and also to limit the amount of times they need to go out, get the stash, and be out in public w/ it instead of just enjoying it in the privacy of their home, or at a party, or at a dance club if one of those raver drugs like E.

First: The police are idiots, they only solved the case because they found a shirt and the gun and used dna to find the guy who threw them away (which was stupid, the cloths the guy was wearing should have been burnt -all if it- and the gun should be at the bottom of the ocean somewhere)

Second: The 3 men killed were men who robbed (and likely killed) people they were pretending to buy drugs from -allegedly. That means that the guy arrested was likely just protecting himself (at worst he was killing 3 dangerous men who robbed people for a living)

The guy arrested deserves a metal, he was only defending himself. But in the USA you no longer have a right to defend yourself against criminals. Now I know some of you are going to say that he himself might be a criminal if he was indeed selling drugs, but this is the whole point: because we have taken the right to defend ourselves in America away from the people we don't like it has finally trickled down to everyone, because if you take a right away from a drug dealer all your doing is taking a right away from yourself, he may be a drug dealer, but he's an American.

So, instead of him being what he is: just a guy defending himself (which the Constitution says -drugs or not- you have a right to do in the USA) he's going to have his rights taken away because people don't like him. That is why when someone tries to kill you in your sleep one night climbing through your bedroom window -and you kill them- your going to be arrested. You let the government arrest this guy for defending himself and so you lose that right as well. American's have to wake up to the fact that every-time you let the government take the Constitutionally protect right of an American away because they are: a sex offender, or gay, or a "felon" or on probation or parole or whatever, you're just giving up your rights and your children's rights.

I agree w/ everything you posted except for the point that Riley was only giving the police credit for doing their job of investigating a shooting and seemingly didnt need to resort to violating the Constitution with thuggery, perjury and gestapo tactics that have been commonplace in the past 30 years... hell.. the past 100 years in fact.

The police's job is to respond to a report/crime, gather evidence, and to give that evidence to a prosecutor who will then decide who will be prosecuted (if anyone) if a crime has been committed.... one of the big problems is that many police feel it is their duty to convict a person and not a jury's... so they manipulate evidence, commit perjury, put their own spin into police reports to bias everything down the line... the judge deciding on bail, the prosecutor, the trial judge and the jury.

I've only known 1 police officer who wasnt a D-bag.. He was a shoe store manager who started a family and his 1st kid was born autistic.. he joined the police force for the benefits and after his time dealing w/ other cops on the street.... he went for a desk job to get away from the adrenaline rush asses on the street that were abusive up to the point to try to provoke someone so they could act out violently... and the blue wall of silence protects them all...

arrrgghh. Maybe my experience isnt the majority... but the silence of the good cops that allows the bad ones to keep up their antics.. just allows for increases of abuses, less trust that the police will actually be helpful, and more street justice... Tho I'm in favor of street justice.. What's the point of smirching the names of dead heroes? JFK rescued his men when their boat was sunk in the Pacific. He swam to an island towing them by their life-jacket straps held in his teeth. Once one was rescued he went back and retrieved another until they were all safe ashore. He then swam to a neighboring island for help, carrying a message carved into a coconut. The message was carried to base by the natives of the inhabited island and all were rescued. JFK did all this in spite of a back injury which plagued him all his life.
