A sad day for sure for the Americans that have worked and fought for the rights that we have today to let others to be led like lost sheep because they give up their rights to a government that really cares for their own agenda and they want anything they consider as free. Obama has been a failure to the American people and he would make himself King just to destroy what our fore Fathers have built. He will go down in history for all the wrong reasons. Sooooo sad he's bad to the bone

Hmmmmm....................first we let corporations donate whatever amount of $ to "their" candidate =buying their politicians seat. What is the Supreme Court thinking? Most people are struggling to pay rent & buy food!

I don't see them changing the law that was passed so long ago where congress doesn't pay into social security because they don't collect it. Maybe they should ALL take a huge pay cut pay for their own insurance and at retirement age collect and try and live off of your social security check like the rest of the retired people. We the American people pay their (the government workers/politicians) salaries. So we keep paying they keep taking and still we the american people are not happy. They should fire the whole government and start over!!!!

Great! Now I get to lay off 35 people to get below the 50 that takes you out of this tax.

Well, that just sounds like a great business decision. Another reason why letting money go to business is not going to guarantee jobs for the middle/working class.

You should be glad that your workers have the opportunity to obtain workable health care... which, in turn, would tend to keep them healthy and at work. It would seem that productivity would increase and that hurts your business, how?

My employees are provided health care choices of which I pay half. The problem is when the government starts to force me to do it I will rebel.

all you have to do is cut their hours - to 28 or less per week, that shifts the burden to the individual to purchase their own insurance, whether from the gov't plan or from a private company

I just found out that I pay an average of $3600 per month for my employees health care and if I just dump them on the government system it will only be $2000 per month TAX.

      #70.4 - Thu Jun 28, 2012 11:01 AM EDT

Your argument still makes no sense. Why would you choose to not continue exactly what you are doing now? Have you studied how far health care costs have risen in the past 30 years? I am sure you have an idea since you are an employer. I have seen my own costs (employee) rise and my benefits decrease over the past 30 years.

The Affordable Health Care Act is designed to minimize and reduce the skyrocketing costs that are already taking place. Quite frankly I will be happy to see more people with coverage thereby reducing what I, personally, have to pay to doctors and hospitals.

Great news for the middle class and poor in this country. Now perhaps the less fortunate might have a better chance of getting health care at least, even as the bulk of the wealth of this country is transferred to the wealthy at the top by the Republican "trickle down" policies of the past decade.

I hear people here talking about death panels, socialism, etc. How dumb are these people? Talk to the average person in England or Canada, they love their health care. Sometimes (maybe most of the time...) I'm amazed how uninformed our citizens are. Luckily we don't have intelligence standards for voting because most of the folks in this country would not be allowed near a voting both. It's really sad...

And don't forget that these countries are so far in debt they have to beg and borrow just to survive. Greece alone has more debt than they have GDP for the entire year.

Not because of their health care system. Greece has a malfunctioning political economy. Sound familiar? i.e. Congress?

how proud are you of Iraq? Afghanistan? while fundamentalist terroists still thrive in countries like Syria, Somalia, Benin, Libya and Saudi Arabia.

how proud are you to have been 'played' by the system of gov't to bomb the crap out of a country and its civilians and have it broadcast on live tv? (shock an awe)

how proud are you that more middle-calss families are homeless or living below the poverty level than during the great depression?

Gratefully I have insurance through my employer. Health insurance is NOT affordable for those who cannot get it through their employment ,have been denied due to pre- exsisting, and many of them are not even employed! Don't they get the obvious? Even if it did pass the people still have to wait until 2014 to get accepted for pre- exisisting conditions. What do they do mean while? I guess just keep racking up the billions of unpaid medical bills or the other alternative.

It is rare that you get an opportunity to do a re-write. I hope the president and the Dems will now roll out this very important act properly this time espousing the benefits inherent in this piece of legislation. They grossly mismanaged the rollout the first time failing to educate the populace about the benefits of the act that the average citizen will experience in their wallets, improved access to quality care and general quality of life once the act is fully implemented,. Get it Right this time!!!!!

Impossible! Like anything else you must take small steps to achieve the goal. Health care needs reform but you cannot do whole package at onetime. Impossible for any person or group. Rome was not built in a day but we all know how that turned out

It is truly amazing how many people don't know the actual facts about this law. It is amazing to watch Fox News and the rest of the republican party smear people that they disagree with and then twist their words. I have yet to see a republican give a solid explanation as to why this a bad thing. I want to hear more than name calling (dictator and socialist) and criticism. Like others have said, tell me why this is wrong. Not just because people want a republican president.

For those of you complaining about the SCOTUS decision, how about coming up with ways to IMPOVE health care reform. Instead of looking at this a defeat, start talking about ways that it can be improved upon. Is it perfect? No. But it is a start.

If you dont believe that healthcare cost are out of control in this Country, you must be making some serious coin.

Glad Roberts took the election into account (galvanizing GOP) rather than the constitution. Smart Man.

Hopefully the one positive that comes out of this is that the not-for-profit health care plans can drive the for-profit plans out of business. People in GA pay two to three times as much for identical coverage than we do in a neighboring state due to GA being controlled by for-profit plans. Hopefully there is something in the bill opening up interstate competition. Or was that a Republican idea that was shot down by our geniuses in charge?

It's quite apparent that the justice system has thrown America under the bus along with their copy of the Constitution. The government was not established to tell you or force you and I what we had to "purchase"! The freedoms are eroding away people and some of you enjoy it. Be careful what you wish for and get. It may just cost you the very thing that many people died for.

Your joking right your government forces you to do plenty, put a child in a car seat, where a seat belt, must have drivers license, must have car insurance, pay your taxes, your government forces you to do the right thing all of the time. How anyone sees having healthcare as something that hurts you has never been really ill and needed treatment that was denied for financial reasons not health ones. Try not to follow the talking points of people who care nothing about you and think for yourself please. It is folks who don't do that who are a threat to this society.

Actually Romney didn't write or support the healthcare law we have here in MA, period it was written with the staff of the speaker of the house DiMasi, and a very wonderful woman named Susan Passoni. Romney signed the bill in the middle of the night with no fan fare but I give his Lt. credit she always knew it was right and supported it, which is probably why her party turned on her and didn't help her when she ran for Gov.
