Authorities in California are trying to identify the people responsible for a video that showed two young children fighting.
In the video, titled "My nephew messed him up for picking on his home boy," two boys are seen kicking, punching and choking each other while an adult shooting the video eggs them on.
An adult voice in the video can be heard saying, "Get off the ground, Charlie."
The video ends when a child breaks up the fight.
Someone found the video -- first posted on Facebook -- and reported it to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's officials said it appeared the kids were being "provoked by an adult."
“What’s most disturbing is that there are adults nearby that are not stopping it,” department spokesperson Cindy Bachman, "The adults that are seen in the video are not setting any kind of example for these children."

"It’s our responsibility -- if we have information, if we know who these people are -- to call in."
The location of the fight and the time it was taken were unknown.

I too was raised to defend myself, but the adult egging it on disturbs me. He was being intertained by children fighting that were so young, they needed to pick up their toys and engage in play and imagination. These children looked to be under 5 years old and that is known as the formative years where all the major behavior patterns are set for life. For an adult to promote this behavior was indeed setting the stage for future gangbangers and hoods.
Wow, These kids should have got a year of in school suspension and been confined to a room. A year suspension is a vacation, since obviously their parents have @!$%#ty parenting skills , im sure these little brats will sit home and have fun. & Only 50 hours of community service with the elderly ? how bout they serve the whole year of the suspension.
While I understand and agree that children fighting is a normal and forgiveable act, the adult (or so we say because of age) Had no reason to egg it on. While I was raised in the old school "don't ever start a fight, but if you run, I'll kick your ass and send you back" parenting style (which I tend to agree with) The adult in question should not have been videotaping the exchange, and urging them on. These exchanges happen. It is a part of the Human experience, but for God's sake, you don't need to encourage it. I feel that the adult show have been there to referee the exchange, and brought it to a reasonable conclusion. Meaning that once one child has surrendered, the fight is over. Period. This is how children learn bounderies. Yes, if this became a regular activity or victimization then it is a problem. But let it be what it is. Two kids getting in a scuffle.
How is it that we have the lowest violent crime rate in our history and the majority of you people posting think the world is going to hell. All of you who are saying, "back when I was a kid we had rules" lived in a society with MORE VIOLENT CRIME than we have today. When you were kids there were more murders, rapes, incest incidents, armed robberies, and assaults than there are today, not less, considerably and statistically more of them. Better yet because of computers we are able to tracks these events better today than ever before, and yet we still have lower rates. Hell in the 70's people thought it was unthinkable a mother would kill her own children, so when little Johnny "drowned" in the bathtub no one questioned it. I mean seriously we were just way more violent yet naive about it back then. So I have one question, what the hell are you people blabbering on about kids these days for?
This whole scene is disgusting. But look at the kids and the grown-up in the video. This is an area that likely has uneducated individuals with no sense of decency. So I am not surprised by the behaviors exhibited in the video.
Everybody in that video will probably either be incarcerated, or dead by the time they are 19.
The way things are in the US today, as long as you go to work every day and pay taxes, it doesn't matter what kind of dirty rotten scum-bag you are, or if you'r a gang banger. Authorities will leave you alone. These dirt balls making the film and airing it only will come under the not-so-long arm of the law when one of the local gestapo ranks gets pressure to stop it. Now that it's in the news, the pressure will come down. That's what happens when it becomes common to let the gangs blow each other off the map. Now that it's been going on for a couple decades, it has become normal and acceptable it today's society. Another mark in the deterioration that will eventually cause the fall to a once great empire. The only greatness we see now is out military might, and the cuts are coming.
As the weaknesses in the society continue to grow, the total strength and power of the democracy diminishes. Eventually, out dependence on foreign energy sources, imports, loans and more, will dry up, as our status diminishes. Today's rich become the middle class and the rest are starving in rags. It's not too late to change this pattern, but no move is on, and until that movement is take, things will continue to deteriorate in the US, just like the Roman Empire fell.
if this behavior has been going on all year, the DRIVER was well aware of what's going on. the bus stopped at least 8 times on the video. why dosen't the MONITOR get on and off with each student as they board and get off.?? i thought it was procedure to do so..so she wasn't doing her job either. she drove for over 20 years, the only reason she stopped is because of her hearing. none of this is excusable for the " little boys" inexcusable behavior, but she could have got up and moved to the front of the bus . i'm glad that they got punishment. there were 2 other videos on her being 'bullied' a boy in a blue and red jersey, and a kid in a white t- shirt... why are those kids being left out...
With all the violence where kids are killing kids, where parents are killing their kids, where someone murders another because their stuff means more than a human life, people should be trying to teach their kids to be peaceable instead of using violence to settle matters. If everyone learned to respect others instead of bullying, our kids would not be at an all time high of settling things with violence, it is not just the kids, the adults today think nothing of shooting into a crowd even if there are kids there, think nothing of bringing guns to work to settle differences with work mates. It starts at home people.... however, this is not the way of most people because violence begets violence and it will not end as long as man chooses to live in a way that is separate from God's way of doing things and his requirements. Hate me for saying this if you want, doing so will only prove what I am trying to say. Mankind is a failure as a whole in trying to create a society that is supposed to be better than the past. Massive Epic Fail... Jeremiah 10:23 - "It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step. " As we try to live apart from God in our lives we get more violent.
Yes, boys fight. Parents also tell them to stop and sometimes punish them for acting like animals.
Scum breeds scum.
these adults are pathetic to encourage their children to fight like this. if you want to see people fight then watch adults do it who know the consequences of their actions. all they're teaching these kids is that fighting is the answer and that's horrible. I know that my sister and I used to fight when we were younger but never encouraged by our mom. she would always step in to separate us because kids can really hurt each other.
If you put enough monkeys in a pen together, they will fight. Sounds like these monkeys have reached that stage.
Future U.S. politicians!
