Subscribe to RSSA college student accused of going on a bizarre crime spree claims his workout supplement was spiked.
A college student accused of an erratic crime spree in North Dallas this week apologized to the victims in a jailhouse interview Thursday.
Investigators say Eric Keng carjacked someone, tried to rob a business and led police on a chase in a stolen vehicle on Tuesday.
"I apologize for anything that I did to anyone. It wasn't intentional. I don't know what happened," Keng told NBCDFW.com in an exclusive interview.
Police said Keng went on a wild rampage near the 18000 block of Marsh Lane, where officers said he smashed a driver's windshield with a golf club, tried to carjack two people, successfully carjacked a third and tried to rob a business.
Investigators said Keng then led police on a car chase in a stolen vehicle. Officers used spike sticks to get Keng to pull over. Police said he was so erratic, officers had to wrestle him to the ground using pepper spray.
Keng said he took an energy supplement earlier in the day.
"I was cleaning my mom's house to make sure she was happy when she got home, and then I took some pre-workout stuff called C4, and then I went completely nuts," he said.
Keng said he often takes the energy supplement and thinks someone, possibly a friend, slipped something in it that caused him to act out.
"I think I was drugged," he said.
"I sincerely believe someone put something in that C4, because I've taken it many times before, and the one time I took it this time, I wake up in jail and hear about this (expletive), and that's not me," he said.
Keng started crying several times during the interview.
He also apologized to his family.
"I just don't want my mom to be mad," he said, with tears running down his face. "It's not me, but clearly it is. I'm sorry."
Keng said he was enrolled to continue classes at Brookhaven Community College in the fall. He said was hoping to join the military or the Air Force but doesn't see any of that happening now.

Wow. He was drugged? Right. I'm wondering if the mugshot had been a minority how the narrative on this board would change. But I forgot, we have a black President so there are no racists in America any longer. Flame me if you want, but you can't deny that the reaction would be different.
This stupid kid can forget about the Air Force now. He will get some type of record out of this thing whether he was on drugs or not.
If he was drugged "by a friend", I feel sorry for the kid, and he needs to get some new friends.
You're supposed to spray him with the pepper spray - not beat him with the can! Either way - it looks to me like a lesson learned the hard way.

Sorry not buying it. I think the kid got a hold of something and took it and had a real bad trip. If someone slipped something in his drink who was in the house with him at the time? I know one thing if I did HALF the things this kid did then told a story about how I am enrolled in college (which I am) and how I'm just a over all good guy and I THINK someone put something in my drink... NO ONE WOULD GIVE A DAMN!! Peole would say put his butt in jail.
If you actually knew the person which I do, then you would know this is extremely uncharacteristic of him. I love when people like yourself make ignorant comments about a person you absolutely know nothing about.

When I saw the headline, I thought, "Yeah, right. Sure. Someone drugged him. Uh-huh." But after reading the story and his reaction, well, I´m willing to withhold judgment. I sure hope there´s a way to test whether or not he´s telling the truth. Either way, it´s refreshing to read someone taking responsibility for his actions.
Could steroids have been the "something" that was mixed in with his energy drink powder? Steroids do cause problems with people not being able to control themselves, sort of like this.
"Energy Supplement" so that's the kids are calling it now days.
My BS meter went off the scale went I read this guys story.
We all know the he is a good boy because his mommy says so and of course some bleeding heart judge will sentence him to rehab and a little community service.

Canon you have no freaking clue! I know him personally, he was like a little brother to me before we lost touch when I left for the Marine Corps six years ago. I was deeply saddened by the news and while I will not defend his actions I will defend his character.
If anyone of those victims had a gun, they would have been forced to use it for their lives. This evil sack of I don't know what gave them no choice in the matter. How dare these creeps get high and ruin everyone's lives. Just how selfish and stupid are so many people? We have to get after the media for constant glorification of evil behavior and all these kids watch it and are helpless not to copy what they keep seeing everywhere.

Dang, I feel sorry for this kid. Clearly, he didn't know what he was getting himself into when he took whatever it was he took, and is filled with regret and shame, and it isn't his general character. It's refreshing to see someone his age care about what his mom thinks and how his actions will affect his future. I think his "after the fact" perspective demonstrates that he isn't normally someone who would do something like this. If there WASN'T anything in the C4 besides C4?? RECALL C4 for cripe's sake, that sh*t's DANGEROUS.
I didn't read everyone's comments, because I got sick of it, so if this doesn't pertain to you, please ignore me. WHAT A BUNCH OF RACIST PIGS YOU ALL ARE! If this had been a minority kid NOBODY would have said things like, "You know, it sounds like a plausible strory. Good kid had a bad thing happen to him". I didn't spend my entire adult life in the Army defending racism and stupidity. Ya'll make me ill.
