You're right. If he was only using pot he would be an unlikely attacker, much less create this kind of mayhem. It's more likely he just flipped out on a mental meltdown.

Clearly it is a simple case of a massive mental breakdown where reality was lost on the attacker. Nothing in his previous behavior suggested he would do something like this act. He simply "cracked". It isn't that rare. Some people curl up in the corner in a fetal position and cry but Eugene went stark raving mad. It is only the depravity of his actions that make this case unique. No more difficult to explain than a mother drowning her kids in a bathtub.

In other countries, you don't have children killing their parents, There is near 0 crimes done by juveniles, Muslum children never give their parents any problems. Speaking of mental hospitals, all the states are dumping mental patients out on the streets to fend for themselves. It in almost every state there is. They cut their budgets and the mental were the first to go. They don't tell you this but it's a fact. They aren't placed into other housing but are litterly thrown on the streets.

This is also how sick we've gotten.

i would like to know where some of yal are getting your info from? for one, he was tested for bath salts and it can be looked for in tox screens! i can order a test right now if i wanted to! just face the facts people! drugs had nothing to do with this man! marijuana for one is the safest drug on earth! yet we legalize one of the most dangerous drugs (alcohol) and the most addicting drug (cigarettes)! and those two alone contribute to more deaths then heroin and the hard drugs! quit spending billions each year on a drug war thats been faught for over 20 years and has gotten nowhere! it leads to idiot kids moving on to trying even more dangerous substances when you make them illegal! if someone wants to smoke crack, they will do it legal or not! as human beings, we should be allowed to put anything we want in our systems, they are our bodies, not the governments property! but in this day and age, we belong to the gov, not the gov belongs to the people no more! unfortunately too many blind sheep out here in the usa and more have been brainwashed by propaganda and fear!

SO... He took bath salts but their is no proof? NO PROOF! and i am not talking about toxic screen. Everyone act like that is the only type of proof. But i ASK and want to know why every one is saying its bath with out any proof! Is their footage of him buying bath salts? Are people that knew him saying he was taking bath salts? Is his dealer claiming he took bath salts all the time? Was their bath salts packets on his person or his clothes or at home or in his car on in the back yard? I demand that some one tell how bath salts became a suspect in this case! Because up to now no one has pointed to anything as their reason for thinking this in the 1st place! They might has well being saying it was PCP or mad cow and claiming there is no test for that type of PCP or MAd cow that he had/has. I mean really every is just pulling things out of the air. With nothing what so ever pointing to WHY they think that! You can't even call bath salts a theory because no is pointing to anything what so ever as to how they cam up with bath salts in the 1st place! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! RANT RANT RANT!

Bath salts or other synthetic was a reasonable suspicion in this case. If you do some research with an open mind, some of the synthetic substances do cause the body's temperature regulation system to fail and cause high temperature (over 104+); and cause psychotic symptoms; unusual strength and violent behavior.

The emergency medicine literature does say there is not a specific test for bath salts - possibly for some of the metabolytes. Like any chemical, not every person is going to react the same. especially given that he was out in the heat at the festival; had a history of aggression; had a history of drug abuse and some paranoia. I question if we'll ever have a definitive answer on this case. Seems likely it was a combination of factors that came together and resulted in this horrific situation.
