A Los Angeles doctor was arrested Thursday on suspicion of secretly filming at least two disrobed patients and committing sexual battery against another patient, according to the Medical Board of California.
Lance Everett Wyatt, M.D., has been charged with two counts each of unlawful filming of another and unlawful viewing of another; and one count each of sexual battery on a patient and unlawful use of force and violence on another, officials said in a statement released Thursday.
All counts are misdeamanors.

Wyatt's office was unavailable for comment Thursday afternoon.
The investigation into Wyatt began about a year ago after the Medical Board received a complaint that the doctor secretly filmed a patient while she was naked during a follow-up visit, officials said.
Police say a woman brought them a camera she found in the doctor's office in the East Medical Tower adjacent to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Then the Medical Board, LAPD and the Los Angeles City Attorney discovered another alleged victim.
The rules are clear for doctors to photograph patients, according to NBC4's Medical Editor, Dr. Bruce Hensel.

"There are reasons for plastic surgeons to take photos, before or after, or for computer images to show you how you'll look," says Dr. Hensel, "but in those cases, you need to give consent, or it's not appropriate, and it's not legal."
The 42-year-old Wyatt -- who specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery -- boasts an accomplished practice on his website, citing a Harvard University education, awards from UCLA and the National Institute of Health and several patient testimonials.

"I was really impressed with his personality. He's extremely friendly, treats you like a friend, not a patient," one woman said in a testimonial. "He goes out of his way to call you back whenever you need it."
Wyatt was being held on $50,000 bail. If convicted, he could face two years in county jail.

We need to view the vids to make judgement. The woman that had the camera was probably jealous or a "disgruntled" employee. How do we know that she didn't do the camera work?

Now days its all about money, can't trust anyone that makes claims anymore, if the Doctor was insured you know the chances are the insurance company will settle, EASY MONEY.... Now days you're guilty until proved Innocent, but if you don't have money No one wants to SUE you.
This man is a creep and to say his medical license should be revoked and he barred from ever practicing again is an understatement.
He should pay restitution in the form of 1M to each victim, minimum. What he committed is the ultimate act against a patient by someone in a position of power while each victim was vulnerable. It is akin to a rape, and quite involuntary.

Lechute, California makes alot of exceptions for minorities. The latest is when hispanics get pulled over in L.A. by the cops and found to be driving without a legal license they won't impound their cars anymore but if you are white, asian, or black your car will be impounded. The schools lowered the bar for them as well.

His defence lawyer will probably claim the camera was there to protect him from claims of misconduct from his patients.

actually, cameras are not that easy to spot all the time. you can buy mico cams, that have an awsome resolution for about $100.00. they do not have little lights to tell the person being recorded it is being done, if there is one, you can disable that easy enough as well.
i know because i had a landlord who used to sneak into my apt while i was at work..... the officer who took my complaint was a bit suprised that the twin cams i paid $40 had such nice quality he bought one as well. Mine had motion sensor ability so it worked great! no hrs of watching nothing, just what triggered the camera.

Wait for all the evidence has been gathered. How was this woman able to retrieve the camera? Why did she wait a year to confront the doctor?  Is the other "victim" a plant? He is innocent until proven guilty. I bet she is hoping to settle out of court and get millions for her scam. She is just another gold digger taking advantage.

Seems to me Samantha Tata and Patrick Healy did some shoddy reporting here. Why is it the press just gives us a small fraction of the details, it never was that ways years and years ago.
