What! no vampire training?

Looks to me like most people here just read MSN's misleading headline. Read the whole story! They are using VIRTUAL zombies as a way to train for unpredictable and totally terrifying situations so that police,etc. will have experience with the "worst case scenerio" before it is staring them in the face. Seems like a realistic use for unrealistic fantasy games. One commenter mentioned a guy on pcp who acted like a "zombie".

Fact isn't too far from fiction sometimes

This is an ingenious example of "hiding in plain sight" for government training.

They attend "zombie training", everyone see's it as a joke and even a waste of money. They get training and prepare........

But instead of actual brain eating zombies, its crowds of shocked and scared citizens displaced after a natural or terrorist incident looking for food/shelter/water etc.

Its upset citizens in urban area's massed and dazed from a horrific event and pushing for help from the government agencies who will have to control the streets and response assets.

IF they trained in these scenarios people would be alerted and question it.

But innocent "zombie control", keep laughing........

So they are now going to train people to battle Congress?

This is probably the real reason that Homeland Security and FEMA have already constructed mass graves waiting to be used.

Science Fiction is so much fun to believe in. So is Santa and the Easter Bunny. Really, if there were some kind of agent like PCP, the human body wouldn't be able to sustain life for very long. The cells in the organs would die and the host would die. Sure, PCP appears to make someone super human, but it only last for a short time unless the drug is administered continuously. By that time, the damage to the body has been done and a heart attack, or liver failure is bound to happen. The brain cells will have been toasted and death will follow shortly. It's simply impossible to keep that going without killing the host. This is garbage and a waste of our taxpayer money. I think the government is treating us like the zombies. We waste too much money and energy on war game fantasies instead of trying to better our society as a whole where we can sell our inventions and productive products to other countries and be the true leaders that we claim we are.

Glad to see our governement has all the extra bucks for luxury accomodations and ridiculous training.

we work of salt, its in our blood, that and other stuff, like potassium.. change the molecular weight of the salts, and they still function in the cells, just the outcome is a lil different, add a dash of LcD, some Pcp and walla...

That's a waste of tax money. Fight something that exists. I can tell them how to kill zombies. I find a .38 round right above the bridge of then nose seems to hit the right spot in the brain. Now if you can't find a zombie use the Voodoo formula: take a crape la mere (puffer fish) and grind him up. dry it out and put it in a drink and give it to the prospective victim. He'll be paralyzed but fully awake. Instant Zombie. Silver bullets from the Lone Ranger works on the werewolf and a stake in the heart works on vampires. Anything else you need to know?

for the record, let me just say that i love zombie movies and games as much as any other weirdo.

but here are my thoughts that stem from one, burning question.

ooomg...i am gonna laugh SO HARD when this zombie training fails to protect anyone from the undead. seeing as how zombies are a figment of sum sci-fi creator's imagination and do not exist nooow, this "training" is essentially for those who strongly believe that zombies can sumday exist. BUT...even if they do one day roam the earth, how the hell can anyone prepare to fight them off then?? has anyone even considered the one obvious question that should be asked here, such as what if this stuff doesn't work on zombies? this training is based off of nothing, there are no zombies now so what facts are we dealing with here??...what a sad waste of money that could have obviously been wisely invested in other current needs of today.

can we just get back to making zombie games now?? :) sheesh.

They definitely know something big is coming, way too many preparedness drills to be coincidence, zombies hmm, looks more like vast amounts of people during either civil unrest, or needing help desperately, after a major disaster, whether its a false flag or not, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

lol at everyone trying to politicize this. As a registered independent, when you look at the stereotypes of each party it is clear as to who identifies more with the zombies and who identifies with the survivors.

Zombies vs. Survivors

Zombies - often depicted with BLUE skin, out-number survivors, overwhelm survivors who either end up becoming a zombie themselves or fall to them based on sheer numbers, are usually in large groups often in urban areas, consume without producing

Survivors - often gun-loving REDnecks, often religious, found in greater numbers in rural areas, often stubbornly rely on themselves whether it's to their own detriment or success, little sympathy for the zombies or other survivors who aren't in as good of a position as themselves, often hoarded supplies (wealth) before the zombie apocalypse which allowed them to be in the position of survivor when it finally did happen

Make all the "brainless follower" jokes you want about the opposing party but when you look at the stereotypes of the parties and the stereotypes of the characters in zombie fiction it is plain to see that zombies = democrats, survivors = republicans. Independents? They are the smart ones who build a colony on the moon and rebuild society afterwards. :)

And for the roll of the zombies, a few marijuana sucking druggies will be hired.
