Subscribe to RSSA Detroit Chrysler plant worker fatally stabbed a co-worker Thursday morning and then killed himself at a city park, police said.
Police sources told NBC station WDIV that the assailant was a line worker who stabbed his union steward over a possible affair with his wife, who also works at the plant.
Chrysler said one employee was pronounced dead at the scene at its Jefferson North Assembly plant.
Police told WDIV that the suspect fled the factory after the 8 a.m. stabbing near the loading docks and was found dead at Belle Isle, a park, where he shot himself.
DetroitNews.com identified the stabbing victim as Keith Readus and the suspected assailant as Jeff Hunter.
The Jefferson North plant employs just over 3,000 workers on two shifts. The 3-million-square-foot plant makes the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango full-size SUVs.

Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said no other employees were injured.

If you are going to do a murder, suicide...do the suicide first, then if you still feel like murdering...
Another one of those crack smoking Union workers at the Chrysler Plant goes off the deep end. If they hadn't taken their own life the Union would have blamed it on the management and Obama would have said it was caused by Bush policies.
Maybe they both was lover's and the one that got stab to death got caught cheating on him with the woman.
Another reason to NEVER EVER EVER buy anything made by unions.
Well we've reached the, "Do more, with less" productivity, that literally anything will set off a worker to kill.
I been seeing lots of workers nation wide finally bite the bullet, and kill their bosses, their co-workers, their families, and then themselves.
What the hell did you people expect? A christmas bonus? Work hard, for less, continuously for four years...WITHOUT REPREIVE...and I would start thinking about killing other people too. I already have a fanatical hatred of corporate america, Wall Street, and banks that foreclose on the lives of people that need a home.
Personally, I don't think the government can do a damn thing. They've already proved that they talk a lot, and that's all they know how to do. And make study's. They love to make study's. Maybe we should have a poll.
