It's stories like this that literally tear my heart out. The children always suffer because of the distress that the parents are going through. ASK FOR HELP, LIFE IS HARD SOMETIMES, BUT SITUATIONS ALWAYS WORK THEMSELVES OUT WITH FAITH AND PRAYER. My condolences to the family and friends during this tragic event.

That poor woman, after hearing 24/7 on the news the playing of the Romney secret tapes, probably got tired of living in the depression of a welfare state of existence, and decided to do exactly what ext.gov.Flipitt Romney/Rand-yan suggest, she took responsibility of her life and that of her children. Now that is what all of the 47% can do to make the Romney/Ryan 4th Reich/Rand/NEO-CON plan work. This will probably happen more often in all levels of societies 47% as they become more depressed about being classified as moochers,takers, and victims, as Romney/Ryan keep saying that they, the 47% of Americans are in their campaign speeches.

So you see the 1st stage of the Romney/Ryan 4th Reich/Rand/NEO-CON plan is working, 1st reduce the number of people drawing government checks, and the population of worthless welfare recipients, stop all benefits like: Military Retirement pay(Veterans Disability Pay, VA housing, VA education, VA medical support)(Seniors Social Security and Medicare), stop all entitlement programs, get rid of all social welfare programs (SSI) (Food stamps)(free school lunch)(Medicaid)(HUD)(WIC)(AFDC).

The Romney/Ryan Austerity programs will get rid of the 47% of the victims of American society like that poor woman one way are another. But it will promote the corporate welfare programs of the super elite wealthy allowing them to trickled down their wealth to the upper income bracket of the people earning $200,000 are more who will become the new lower income.

If all else fails, then the Romney/Ryan RAND/BAIN Austerity Plan could have the government do secretly like Hitler's 3rd Reich in Germany, or like the Khmer Rouge (the Killing fields) in Cambodia. But I am sure Romney/Ryan and their GOP T-Republican NEO-CON Party would prefer that most of the 47% would follow this poor ladies example, or just die from lack of social security and affordable health care, or like soldiers just die in combat battles, or from injuries and illness before they try to draw benefits as veterans. This also includes teachers, firemen/women, police, and anyone who serves, or pay into a retirement program all their lives, and thank they deserve a handout.

My mom left me at a friends house when I was in the 4th grade and took off with her boyfriend. I saw her once after that day and I have no idea if she lived or died. I go back and forth on whether she should have just never had me but I know one thing is for sure I'm glad she didnt kill me. Please if anyone is reading that is contemplating something similar. Just drop the kids off with a neighbor or a family member and disapear. Your mental problems are not your childs problem. They still have a chance to grow up and contribute to society. These parents that do this are the most selfish POS's on the planet.

Should have went for the hanging 1st. The poor little kids were innocent. They did nothing to deserve such a sudden end of their life.

I dont give two @!$%#s about what anybody here is saying. This is WRONG. I would NEVER kill myself if God himself told me to. My kids would deserve better than to be killed whether God wants it to be done or if im just a lunatic hearing voices. Yeah i shed a few tears over this, not a lot, two or three but I still believe that even if they live on the opposite side of the globe of you, you should still show sympathy and not act like some ungrateful little @!$%# with no heart!

If your trying to understand theology (study of God), sign up for a theology class or two. If your trying to understand God's ways...you never will till you unload your bitterness. If you just want to turn every discussion into a personal boxing match with God and His people...exchange email addresses or cell phone numbers and hash it out in private. Fellow Christians: I've never seen anyone become a believer during an argument!! Agnostics (or whatever): I've never seen a true Christian fall out of step due to the obnoxious and "pick-a-fight" attitude of an unbeliever.

With that off my chest...a good number of things could cause even a loving mother to come mentally un-glued. The article does not cite a cause or series of events that precluded this sad event. Drugs, severe depression, a twisted revenge, and several types of mental disorders are all coming to mind. But again, we are not told. Family members need our love and compassion at this difficult time.

I DO REALIZE: panic and fear is deep set of every age. The mind whorl whizzes with remembering all the wrong a hair second after. That is how some take their own lives. Others are so provoked by the grunt-ling of the victim of being nagged at and looked at by the smog, they no longer are victimizing with grunt-ling, they become victim by their own hand. Then the first slappers who caused the grunt-ling win the game of bantering and badgering people into becoming killers and self damaging victimized. The poison is lies and non truths that cause family and homelessness. Only the strong would not give in. And the weak will insist on insisting with their tempers and pretence of innocents. The sins of resentments and thinking much better then the victim of their words of pout and jealousies. Some men and women need this of their mates or lovers, or they are not attracted or interested. Same like good and bad is always next to each other in all ways of living. What channels do you think they are? and your, do you know what channel your alone being is?

Marcella and Diane, I want to thank you for your insight. Too many ignorant people on here wishing death FIRST on this mother without knowing all the facts and devaluing her life and soul. I asked for help many times and people just cold heartedly turned away and said you are on your own. PERIOD!

Those that make judgmental comments will be judged for your callous indifference and lack of compassion. That mother just like her children were human beings, as I am! Just because you ask for help from family or so called friends and acquaintances DOES NOT mean they will help you! Why can't people get that through their narrow-minded skulls!

Go into some of these low-income areas or just look at your church congregation where single mothers abound and talk with them and then you will find how overwhelming it is for them handle it all or keep the household running when they are being limited by finances, bullied by deadbeat dads, discriminated by society and the law.

I know in my bible that Jesus went where others didn't want to go or associate with those outcasted and disenfranchised (sic) and if he was human today, I think he would be living in Section 8 or on the street homeless just to see if you would do what you said you would do or say what you mean you would say. He became the poor among us to see what it must be like to "live among the least of us".

Make me ashamed to be an American.
