Subscribe to RSSA 34-year-old Florida woman apparently killed her two children in their house and then committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.
Deputies responded to a house in unincorporated Clearwater, west of Tampa, shortly after 2 a.m. after receiving a call for help. They discovered Dawn Brown and her two children, ages 5 and 9, dead in the house.
It’s believed that Brown killed her two children and then hanged herself with an electrical cord from a bedroom ceiling fan, the sheriff’s office said.
No details were revealed on how the children were killed. Their cause of death will be released after an autopsy, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities did not give a possible motive for the killings.

Why? I sure as hell don't want to pay for their next 18 years on entitlements. There should be a check box on tax returns, so people like you can opt to take care of other peoples' kids, and people like me can make them responsible for their own choices in life.
A better solution for you is to move to a island where there is no one else. That way, your tax money will not benefit anyone else in society. If you dont want to move to a deserted island, then keep seeding in those taxes and know that it will support someone somewhere.

It might seem inappropriate but I am surprised that the ceiling fan supported her weight. The one in my kitchen won't; the ceiling tiles will come down with it.

Sad the children had to pay for the mothers weakness. Many women raise their children with no father. It is not the federal governments responsibility to raise those kids, that is what family and community is for, to help her. Take a read at how many of these children are placed for no reason at all in primary custody of the mother. There are perfectly good fathers that do not get 50/50 custody of their children. No, it is not the governments responsibility to support families, then again they should not be shredding families either, now should they?
Did you know that for every support dollar that a state funnels through the state child support system, that state gets more then a times 2 return on the money ( federal matching money ). The states are not required to spend it on family initiatives or anything related to children. It is free money.
Some 80% of custody goes to woman. Are you telling me that 80% of all dads are unfit for 50/50 custody?
This story is incomplete as of now. It is unclear what happened and why this woman did what she did, but you dont have to look vary far to see that the government dose not care about families, and the government is a big reason that there are so many single mothers "doing it alone". Dad gets kicked to the curb by the court when he is fully capable of caring for his children on a 50/50 basis.
Children will always do best when they have both parents ( when possible ). If you dont want more single mothers, then call your Gov rep and demand that 50/50 custody is the standard and not the exception.
I agree, good dads lose time with their children way too much. Maybe judges need to be replaced more often?
Life is difficult for the 99%. If the proper help had been available for this woman, she and her children might have lived. Compassion and understanding are sorely needed in this country. Something all politicans seem to be devoid of...they are all crooked and only out for themselves and their cronies. Let me take a stab at this one and see if i am close when the real motive and a complete story comes out. I wish MSNBC would quit bringing these sort of things until more detail is discovered. This type of stuff is really not news worthy. It is tabloid journalism at best. Now the motive from my intuition reserve goes something like this: The husband met a very young and tight secretary who he ran of with and the wife being so pissed off at him , wanted to get even, so she kills his litter to get even with him in her mind. So far so good, Right? Let me know if it is any different.

1. sue the rope manufacturer
2. sue the ceiling fan manufacturer (hey, they should have known!)
3. sue the place where the woman bought the rope
