Porn site seeks new breast cancer charity after Susan G. Komen rejects fundraising offer

A pornographic website that said it launched a fundraising effort for and was adamantly rejected by Susan G. Komen for the Cure still wants to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The porn site said in a press release that it is now looking for a new charity for its “Save the Boobs” campaign throughout October.

The adult website said it would donate 1 cent for every 30 views of certain videos featuring breasts during October.

The website initially targeted the campaign at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, saying that “the more boobs that are viewed, the more money that will be showered upon the [Foundation].”

But the Dallas-based organization said Wednesday that it was aware of the campaign and wanted nothing to do with it. “We are not a partner, not accepting donations, and have asked them to stop using our name,” Komen said.

Now the website is searching for a new organization, the porn site said Thursday, to receive a “significant” amount of money.

“Unfortunately we had to change our targeted beneficiary,” a site spokesman told NBC News.

The site specified that “any charitable entities related to breast cancer research or awareness should submit their interest” to the website. One charity will be chosen and announced in the coming days.

The site said in its press release that it attracts 70 million to 90 million clicks per month and could raise a "considerable" amount of money. The website said the campaign had already amassed millions of views.

This isn’t the first time the porn site has tried to raise awareness for breast cancer. Earlier this year, the website offered free breast exams for women from its “Save the Boobs” bus in New York.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and affiliated events had raised more than $1.4 billion as of 2010, the company says.

"Komen for the Cure" should change their name to "Komen for Good PR" since apparently that is more important.

I hope pornhub find another, more deserving, breast cancer organization that will accept their money

I hope there is more to this story. Money is money and breasts are breasts. Take the money for heaven's sake. Do you want a cure or not????? I have donated over the years and I will continue to do so but I am very unhappy with the decision that has been made here.

So...these folks would like to say: "10,000 women unnecessarily died from breast cancer because we refused funding from a perfectly legal, but somewhat unsavory, source thereby delaying finding a cure by (some amount of time). We hope the families will understand; and we feel really superior, rightous and hollier-than-thou for our stance - - and glad that we're not among those that are now dead."

Maybe on the tombstones we can carve:

Victim of Susan G. Komen - They Were More About the Image than the Cure

Your and Idiot! The Koman foundation put up "THEIR" money and effort in helping find a cure and they have some morals! There are many other cancer centers that can use the money. So there folks ARE NOT saying 10,000 women unnecessarily die because they refuse funding. Maybe they ought to carve on the tombstone... Komen foundation- doing 10,000% more to cure cancer than some old senile grandfather...

I say Judge not lest you be judged. It's not like some drug dealer gave the money gotten from a percentage of money he made from selling drugs to children and such. Whats up with the holier than thou attitude? Porn stars have boobies that need to be saved too!

Guess you would also take money from pedophiles for cancer. How about a contribution from the child porn industry? It's just money...

Nothing wrong with money from a business running a legal operation. The examples you listed, Kent, are illegal, and thus I would report them to the authorities to make sure they were shut down, and would absolutely not take that money.

So Porn stars are lesser human beings and deserve to be treated this way because of their profession? some of those porn stars are among the most caring & loving individuals in the world and not just on film.

The is a fine line between accepting a donation and having someone else use you name to drum up business. Sorry there are many too stupid to realize this. Any business can donate anonymously to help a cause. That is not what is happening here. This porn site to promote itself is trying to ride the cause of breast cancer threw the Komen foundation. The Koman foundation has some standards, good for them! I can give to find a cure for aids even though I do not approve of the Homo lifestyle. However, I am not going to say buy my produce and help a homo to enrich myself from another's plight...

Really...do you think this porn site needs Susan G Koman as a partner so they can get "new customers"? Really...I kinda doubt that...I'm sure they don't! A porn site and the KKK are two different things. The KKK promotes hatred, terrorism and death and destruction to people that are different from them...I really don't think porn stars are looking to promote hatred and death towards anyone.

Maybe it has something to do with being opposed to the exploitation of women. If the KKK was donating would they accept that cash? Honorable folk only go with honorable folk. It matters who you accept the money from.

I'm happy to be associated with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and will be walking this month for the 3rd year. Even though this is an American Cancer Society event, the event has a more grassroots feel to it. The first year my team walked behind a group from Vivid Entertainment... no one seemed to mind that they were participating. Money is money... it's a good cause. If anyone wants to donate to Making Strides, please let me know! :-)

They accept money from other places that are not all about morals too I would guess. The point is they need the money for this important research so as much as I understand their stance on this I feel they should take the money.

I don't understand that. Komen's views are positively pornographic... why wouldn't they want porn to provide funding?

Much of the charity in the U.S. is simply a business. That is why you must be extremely careful in donating anything. I have no idea how much of the dollar Komen actually spends on cancer research but I have the feeling it is about 20%. Many political, religious and non religious foundations accept money from questionable sources. Romney took 20 million from a gambler and mobster in Vegas and it is legal. The Catholic church has taken donations from Mafia types for hundreds of years. How many narcos and mobsters donate to charities in the U.S?

Komen keeps proving how stupid they are; first they had corrupt administrators and now they are turning down legitimate cash.

Does Komen care about breast cancer? If so, they should not be so high and mighty and take the money to help women. Porn stars are women too, and if they are willing to send a great deal of money to defeat breast cancer, then Komen has a lot of nerve not accepting the money. The porn people should give it to Planned Parenthood.

I'm currently watching my 39 year old sister-in-law dying of breast cancer before my very eyes. At this point I doubt she'd give one rats-a$$ if Ron Jeremy himself came along with a $100 bill strapped to his tally-whacker!

We need to get off this moral high-horse people . . . . . 90 Million clicks a month? Holy cow, if we could only get one dollar from every person who clicked-in, you could safely tell all the self-righteous donors who object to go and royally f--- themselves. This is about saving lives, it doesn't matter where the money comes from. If Pornhub donated enough money to make a difference in the fight against cancer, then as far as I'm concerned they're my freakin' heroes!

I am a feminist...I fought for womens rights in the late 60s and all through the 70s, I still believe in womens rights and take womens health issues very seriously. The SGK Foundation seems to be in a position where they can turn down anyone that doesn't meet "their" standards. I say to the porn site, there are other foudations that would be happy to take your money.

I haven't looked into it, but, I am wondering just where all the money goes from SGK. Are their executive offices and officers pulling down high six figure incomes, perhaps seven figure incomes? How much goes to research?

Wow, perhaps you should send some of that money to Planned Parenthood.

I guess I look like a bigger loser than PornHub. Get real people. People have and will always look at porn (hopefully it will be in the privacy of their own homes), so what's wrong with making a contribution? Tell a dying cancer victim that you rejected donor money because you don't agree with them. I doubt PornHub.com asked this organization to view nudie movies or act and participate in them....Geeze Louise.
