Bachelor sues club after stripper's rough pole dance bursts his bladder

A Pennsylvania man is suing a strip club after a rough pole dance ruptured his bladder during his bachelor party.

A lawsuit filed last week says that in late November 2010 Patrick Gallagher, a resident of Lansdale, Pa., had been invited to lie on the stage at the Penthouse Club in Port Richmond, Pa., as part of its “Bachelor’s Package.”

That’s when one dancer shimmied up the pole, and “from a great height, she launched herself down onto his abdomen” with such force that she ruptured his bladder, Gallagher’s attorney Neil Murray told the Philadelphia Daily News.

The suit said the move resulted in severe pain for Gallagher that did not subside by the next morning. He went to the emergency room, and doctors discovered he had internal bleeding and a ruptured bladder that required surgery to correct.

Murray said that Gallagher also suffered nerve damage in his back and hip, the Daily News reported.

The lawsuit accuses the club of negligence and seeks at least $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish.

Gallagher’s lawsuit is one of several filed in recent years against the club, according to court records. The other lawsuits allege a beating by bouncers, a slip-and-fall injury, overserving of alcohol and the unauthorized use of a woman’s photographs in club advertisements.

Seven dancers and a manager at the club were also arrested last November on prostitution charges.

How is a soon to be married person remotely "single"? If you are getting married you have been "taken" for sometime.

There was NO INFORMATION in the article suugesting that the complaintant was engaged, or soon to be married. Read it again, the club had entitled the event "Batchelor Party."

btw, Batchelor refers to any male who has never been married.

I think the bride should run for her life....away from an idiot of this proportion. Sounds like all involved were idiots. The law suit should be against himself.....for being that stupid. Come on....he should be embarrassed concerning this entire incident. Think he should get back to his Man Cave and stay there.....really....

BEST thing about this article were the video links that (I think) SimpleBob posted! Fantastic dancing and I just downloaded three of Parov Stelar's albums!

The groom to be might have been a loss but reading this thread and finding out about cool music? Priceless!!!

Suing for humiliation and mental anguish? Stupid head should be humiliated for participating. If it isn't something that you don't want momma & wifey to see than don't do it.

If the future wife approved of this batchelor party, they deserve each other. Whatever floats this boat - it wasn't his future wife. What performance did the future bride enjoy at a bachelorette party? Respect and faithfulness isn't a requirement by either the woman or man. I wonder how long that marriage will last.....

What a joke...sue for humiliation. I think he caused that one himself when he was stupid enough to lay down on the ground for this "pole Ho dance". Methinks this dude deserved what he got...a busted bladder and probably a ruptured manhood. Oops...why is it men are the ones this stupid?

Hey, when I was young, I occasionally went to strip clubs (I remember "The Dollhouse" in San Diego - with their "4-B Special" - "Burger, Beer and Boobs for a Buck" - great place, back in the early 70's, to grab lunch while going to the Navy Intel School up the road). "The Doll House", however, had a bit of pretense to some class. The last strip joint I went to (for a friend's bachelor party) was just, plain nasty. The women were skanky, tattooed freaks, half of them seemingly on meth (to judge by their looks) and the other half doped on downers (to judge by their behavior). No thanks. That kind of stuff puts me off my food.

Mostly tho', I don't like going to the places because all I can think of is that this is someone's daughter. Most of these women aren't up there because they are "happy exhibitionists" or putting themselves through med school (I actually dated one stripper, back in the day, who WAS putting herself through her MBA program by dancing, but even then she was an exception). Most of them are people with unhappy childhoods and unresolved "daddy issues" and dancing nekkid in front of strangers is either an act of economic desperation or part of acting out their emotional disabilities. That is not a turn-on in anyone's book, unless all you want is a place to put your thing (or fantasize about doing so).

He failed to impale her and break her fall on his pole instead. Either way something would have been damaged, crushed testes might have been worse.
