Subscribe to RSSMIAMI -- A Secret Service agent was arrested for disorderly intoxication in Miami early Friday after he was found passed out on a street hours after President Barack Obama left town, police said.
Aaron Francis Engler was arrested at 7 a.m. and also faces a charge of resisting arrest without violence, according to Miami police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes.
Engler was later released to members of the Secret Service's Miami Field Office, Reyes said. Officials at the office didn't immediately respond to calls for comment.

According to an arrest report, an officer spotted Engler lying down on the northeast corner of Southeast 7th Street and Brickell Avenue.
When the officer approached the agent, he asked if he was ok and got no response, the report said. The officer was able to get Engler's attention and asked him to get off the ground but he refused, the report said.
The officer helped Engler get up, but he was having trouble standing. When the officer walked Engler to his patrol car, he saw the agent had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath, the report said.

"The defendant started arguing with me and throwing his arms around while I was conducting a pat down," the officer noted in the report.
According to the report, motorists began stopping to watch as the officer told Engler to stop moving his arms around as he tried to handcuff him.

At one point, Engler hit the officer's face and tensed his arm, pulling it away and not letting the officer handcuff him.
The officer directed Engler to the ground and tried to handcuff him again, but the agent tensed his arms again and pulled away.

During the struggle, Engler turned himself on his back and hit the officer's chin with his open left hand, the report said.
The officer called for backup and two other officers arrived and were able to handcuff Engler, the report said.
The incident happened just hours after President Obama's visit to South Florida, where he attended a rally at the University of Miami and a fundraiser at the JW Marriott Marquis.

Secret service agents in whore houses and passed out in the streets, failure to protect our diplomats etc, etc. yea Obama is a great leader. Obama is a disgrace to the presidency and this country. This reminds me of an "American Dad!" episode. But the agent will probably get out of this with a slap on the wrist or the charges will be dropped all together. Which is messed up because if it was regular citizen they would be facing hefty fines if not some jail time.
If this had been a regular person, the cop would have shot him.

What is wrong with you people? There are hundreds of men and women with the secret service detail who have high respect for the responsibilities and distinction of the job protecting the President, Vice President and their families. They also provide security to foreign government officials and dignitaries as requested. These men and women are held to rigid standards, they sacrifice a lot for the privilege of being with this unique group. Beneath this all, they are also people who may have problems common to all of you. The bad decisions by a few do not make all of them bad. If you have not been on someone's shoes, do not mock them with your insults.
That is the problem here in America today, we are to quick to pass judgement without knowing anything. A little respect and restraint from stupid comments goes along way.

When I'm done with work, I can drink as much as I want... Don't get why he can't go out and party if he is OFF DUTY? Of course, he acted like a clown and started resisting (big mistake and he should have known it). Obviously, this guy is probably going to be a crossing guard by the time this is done with. If your going to get stupid drunk, do it at home and don't ever fight with cops..the guys are just doing their job.
