This story was about a young boy doing good for other but like always some dumb asses have to invoke politic if you listen to what the pres was saying you would understand the roads, electrical grid, and other infrastructure that make a city run was not built by a donut shop it was all of us. One awesome kid...and there are many people out there running businesses without proper licenses and profiting from it...evading the IRS, and lying about their income to not pay child support and they get away with it. This kid is doing something amazing for a great cause and donating it. A totally selfless act, at his age? I can only hope I have raised my kids half as well as these parents have raised him.

I lost my mother 25 years ago to this terrible disease. I think it's a very noble thing this boy is doing, as he is also raising awareness as well as money to the cause. Keep up the good work!

Wonder when the Obama IRS will come in and tax his lemonade stand? Oh, only if he is a Christian. If a Muslim, our government would give a monetary assistance and security.

I am glad Max is succeeding with his generous fund raising for such a worthy cause in memory of a beloved friend. I hope he inspires many other such efforts. But I saw nothing in the article about exactly what research he is donating to. If it is used to further study and publicize how to prevent this cancer through improving diet, exercise, and natural remedies, I support that 100%. However, I will never support vivisection experiments on animals for cancer research or any other purpose, no matter what. The torture of animals is a lucrative big business filling the pockets of some of the most evil people on earth.

This young man was and is raised by an outstanding mom with clearly outstanding women friends and with their presence shown him compassion and love never ends. This strong and individual young man will make his goal of a million and more to help women with breast cancer there is 0 doubt. It is my guess after he has reached this goal he will go into medicine to further honor his aunt and following that finding a cure.

Dogs are like canaries in a mine. I stopped filtering the water for a while and all three rescued dogs (mixes-s/b healthier) presented with multiple lumps under the skin. I went back to filtering and they stopped popping up. I also started boiling it and the lumps went away, except for a few on one dog.

The water authority admitted to the Baldwin Breast Cancer Fdn only that people at the end of a line, like here (cul-de-sac/12:00 position/nothing behind except a nature preserve) is a "problem". However, they didn't admit that there is a reason why Long Island has a high breast cancer rate. LI gets its water from aquifers, as opposed to NYC, which gets it from upstate NY reservoirs. All kinds of things leach into the aquifers.

I know this happens all over the country and so many businesses try to cover it up. The case with PS&G (Brockovitch) is just one example of one we know of and is, unfortunately, not the norm. For example, there was just a Verizon case and they paid a mere $11mil to the people of the town to settle, which does not go far with cancer and especially, in a crowded town like Hicksville. Bottled water, well, the plastic leaches things into it and there are a number of other reasons not to drink it. I now filter and boil water, making Crystal Light with ours. I wonder what the Splenda does but we at least drink a lot of plain water and save the mixed stuff for dinnertime.

This kid is amazing and his parents did a wonderful job raising such a great kid. They should be so proud. Someone should set up a college and post-grad fund for him-he can use his smarts to do something great and still pay the bills.

This is a great story.
