Regardless of what she's going to be teaching, she should be allowed to keep her job. Maybe she worked in a profession in the past that she's not particularly proud of (lots of women do because of the great money provided for doing so). Clearly, she's turned her life around and has found a career that she enjoys, can help others and make an honest living. For anyone to hold her past against her and tell her she can't continue working as a teacher (who let's face it, lots of teachers are only teachers because they've messed up in their lives as well or couldn't do anything else anyways) is completely wrong. I say let her teach, just as long as she doesn't bust out her old videos when it comes time for sex-ed LOL

F-ing kidding me. Oxnard is in California. Who gives a crap what she does or did in her own time. The filming and production of porn videos is legal in California. She was over 18. She broke no laws.

I say if gays and lesbians can teach in the class room then former porn stars ought to be able to work to.

Exactly. Although what she did may have been against a lot of people's morals, she broke no laws and I highly doubt that she's going to educate her students about her previous line of work. She's not a criminal and is completely being discriminated against. Honestly, the media attention that she's getting for this I think is absolutely horrible because I'm just going to assume that she used a fake name while in the industry, so this really is giving her unneeded attention that I personally feel will hurt her chances at keeping her job even more than being in porn did.

AzDrummer89-

Did you just say "lots of teachers are only teachers because they've messed up in their lives as well or couldn't do anything else anyways?" And what basis do you have for this shotgun blast of a comment? Just because your teachers were screwed up, please don't tar and feather a whole profession. In fact, maybe you should go into teaching to show us how it should be done. You know, up until that point, I was squarely agreeing with everything you said. Way to alienate people!

pretty disgusting that someone doing their job, working hard, bothering no one, is getting hassled for the seedy and perverted minds of complete strangers.

discipline her for lying, but look at the circumstances like a human being.

I didn't say all teachers. I said a lot of them. Let's face it, not everyone who teaches in their younger years of life said "When I grow up I want to be a teacher!" The ones who did, I commend them because we certainly could use more like them in this world and they are people who are living their dreams. But from experience and meeting a wide variety of teachers, quite a few had other plans but started to lean towards teaching for numerous reasons (a couple of them of which I mentioned). Do I hold anything against them? Absolutely not. It's a profession that provides an honest living, of which again, lots and lots of people have turned their lives around by getting into which is why I very much respect this woman's desire to do so.

Footlocker- and I don't want to rush to anyone's defense too quickly- he did say 'lots of teachers' not 'all teachers' so with that qualifier I'm satisfied with his comment.

I come from a family full of teachers and the stories they tell about wack job teachers they work with. Some are just lazy or incompetent, but some others are vindictive, hateful creatures who take secret pleasure in causing the students mental anguish. Most are great and care about kids but a few are despicable.

Plus there is the old saying: "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

Teachers love to add the third part of that saying: "Those who can't teach, coach." to get themselves a little laugh at coach's expense.

Gee - could it be possible that one's past might influence their future employment desires - - - particularly if that job is in a field of a Position of Trust such as teachers, LE officers, etc.?????? Maybe, people should use their "free will" with some thought that one's actions might influence their future.

Sounds like authorities are judging for the wrong reason. If she teaches well, she's probably better than some psycho teachers protected by the unions.

I think what this school district is doing is completely wrong. She did nothing illegal and by all accounts she is a good teacher. The kids she is teaching should not be looking at the videos she made anyway, that is if they have parents who are doing their jobs. There is nothing about her previous work that makes her unfit to be a teacher. She does not bring any of her past into the classroom with her and obviously does not talk about it with her students. According to other teachers, her past has not come up or been a distraction in her classroom. So long as she is doing a good job as a teacher she should be able to keep her job. The only reason she did not disclose this past employment on her job application was the exact discrimination she is being faced with now. She is not proud of what she did and only did it so her family could eat. She should not be penalized for that now. Not that it should make a difference either way, but it is not like she is moonlighting as a porn star while she is teaching, this is something from her past that she did before she ever became a teacher.

I would love to have her as a teacher, I would constantly be hitting on her.

The self-righteous people that are calling for her head are usually the most closeted perverted people out there.

I got a good laugh listening to the "administrator" saying that he represents students and parents.

      Since when?

I think this woman is a victim of what bureaucratic pencil-pushers *believe* will happen if she re-enters the classroom. This is usually not based in reality, since most of those "experts" wouldn't know the inside of a classroom if they stumbled into one.

Yes, the woman made a mistake in an era that rarely forgives mistakes. Twenty-five years ago you could do things like this and still have hope that later in life, no one would find out. The Internet makes it very dangerous to be young and foolish in front of a camera.

So now this woman--who was described as a good teacher even by her detractors--will pay a heavy price for what should have remained buried in her past.

I wonder how many of these "administrators" did things in their youth they wouldn't be so proud of now. And if they did, I wonder how many of them were forced into those situations (rather than just having one too many beers at the frat "kegger").

But okay...back to reality. I'm an adult and I can see all the reasons why she shouldn't get her job back.

But because I'm a human who made mistakes in my own past, I find myself hoping she does.

Once the novelty of your teacher wears off its just like any other day in school. I mean it'll be a distraction for maybe a week until all the kids look her up online and then after that the kids wont care. She was of age when she did it, it was legal, I'm assuming that shes not being inappropriate with her students...Odds are that many teachers are having sex when theyre not teaching . So why punish her for a job where she was paid to have sex? There are such things as sex therapists who's job it is to have sex with ppl who have physical disabilities...Is this wrong?

What does one have to do with the other? Swingers, cheaters, and people that have one night stands can teach in the classroom too! Unless your school system has random drug testing for teachers and staff you have some dopers in the classroom too! Even some drunks and prescription pill poppers.

She should be able to teach since she wasn't doing something illegal (although the lying about it in the job application is what's gonna sink her).

But why would she want to do it now that her students know what she did and can readily download it from the internet? Kids are cruel, and it's a sure bet that they're gonna make her life a complete and humiliating hell plastering BJ and ATM and money shot and DP stills from her films all over her classroom and the school. Not once or twice or every now and then, but every. Single. Day. From a 12 or 13 year old's perspective, that's the gift/joke/prank that keeps on giving and never gets old :D

Yeah Julian, why should we expect people to have a little "class," after all we want those values instilled in our kids, right? I can see you got em! Even if she "performs" the teacher role, the kids know what's she's done and would probably see her as a role model that condones something a lot of parents don't. It doesn't mix, sorry.

Well, I have a feeling we share very similar views here in the entire scheme of things - but even i must admit that's a pretty far stretch. I don't think parents would much care if their child was watching a YouTube video of their teacher selling a used car.

Mike do you have Kids? I have 8 and the younger one is on there all the time. I can tell you we have no idle what they are doing on there. We don't know what they are watching either, or showing. I almost think I would rather have this lady teaching then some of the Prevrs we have teaching here in my town. Look at all these teachers that have gone to jail for having sex with there kids. Seems like more women then men. Hell they just put a janitor in jail for having sex with a 13 yo girl. Same with a Admin. in another school. This can't just be all on these Men and women. These kids have to have some part in this, in some cases at least. Not in all cases, but in some.

When I went to school if one of our buddies was having sex with a teacher (besides having him checked out mentally since i don't remember too many good looking teachers...for SURE not as many as there are now) he would be getting high fives and there would be ZERO talk of sexual abuse!!!

Now admittedly as the father of a young woman I can't say I feel the same way if one of those perverts touched my daughter!!! :) yes i know... hypocritical...but tough!!! its just the way it is...a HS boy hooking up with his older good looking teacher is HOT....the other way around and the creep should be put in jail!! Touch my little girl and I cut your nuts off but my boy hook up with a good looking and hot female teacher and I'll give him pointers. Here the million dollar question, what if you boy hooks up with a male teacher, or the girl hooks up with a hot female teacher? Is it love or sex?

I'm a devout Christian and even I realize that she needs a chance.. a break... It is one thing when your past (sins) affect your future: (i.e. Your were a alcoholic and lost your license, now your driving a bus and still drink.) But her past is exactly that.. her past. Let her teach. It was a moment in her life not her WHOLE life. Beside that... even Jesus forgives someone who is truly repentant, can't we?

Flame, God makes you live with your past not everybody else. If she can live with it then let her alone. What some teachers at this school afraid their husbands will want to do the diddly bop with her, they would even if she wasn't a porn person.

California is the only state in the union that legally allows porn to be produced. Most people don't know this. Other states merely tolerate it, but most have laws making it illegal to produce within state lines. She has broke no laws and only omitted her very short career in the porn industry in her resume. Its not like she added something that was untrue in her resume. The moral high-ground people (most likely religious zealots) are ready to stone her to death, just like Sharia law extremism dictates, and we the people must stand with her to fight these nutjobs who judge anyone based upon their personal religious faith or moral upbringing. Not everyone can be perfect as are her accusers...

Maybe she is good teacher and deserves second chance... but it will be hard for her to move forward in this Facebook and You tube world, kids can be as cruel as their parents.

Well, I must have missed the part where they talk about her party affiliation in this article. However, I am sure she is not the only teacher out there with a checkered past. If she is a good teacher, she should be allowed to continue. What better way to give kids an example of how one can rebuild their lives after making some bad decisions a million years ago.

This last time I checked these great movies are legal and big business in this country. She helped keep the economy going. She is hot.

I am sure the male students would attend school everyday and pay attention to what she says in the classroom. The fathers of the students will be falling over themselves to help her.

I love watching these movies and must have seen over 10,000 thinking these are works of art not pornographic at all. The women are actresses just like the ones on the big screen.

As long as she does not tell the students about industry until they are over 18, she did not break any laws and should be able to keep her job.

People who do not like this form of art should get a life and stay out of other lives, Jesus would even love to watch these movies if he had a chance.

"art" yah right, hard-core porn is art.

She's pretty ugly actually. Porn addict losers like you claim playing with yourself while watching this filth is "art" but everyone else knows the truth...you say that because you think it'll make your view defensible, which otherwise it isn't.

                                                    Art, lol.

Get a life and stay out of mine. How do you know what goes on in my bedroom, and you wish that you looked half as good as her and was able to do the things she does. What she does with he mouth, private part, and butt are works of art. FU

Sorry I hope the person you are with will learn one day what an organism is then I hope they will have more than one in the same love making experience. But it won't be from you your to frightened to think about how to give it to them right.

There is a passage there that said something about Judge lest be Judged. I bet we could find plenty to judge you on. I know you could about me. Unlike you I am not prefect. In my mind there was only one Perfect person and he was put to death by the High Priest. We call him Jesus. You sound like him Peter P.

What does this have to do with this article? I'm sure you can read about Libya on Faux News, for whatever it is worth. Along with the stories about the 12 embassies and consulates attacked under Bush, where even non-embassy US citizens were killed. I'm glad to see Obama has reduced these attacks considerably, only 2 under his watch.

I would venture to say most likely she is a good teacher because she is fighting to stay employed there. There is a problem and it stems from the students. Yeah, so the under-age students have gained access to the porn sites and watched their teacher's junk get beat to hell. So what! Now let's add on how many staff members and co-workers who have also found their curiosity peaking and no doubt they too have seen the pounding and tenderizing of her nether regions. So what! Imagine if she were a former Israeli sniper who was trained to assassinate her enemy and she was very good at it and made many widowed wives or husbands. She would get the 'dont f*ck with her' reputation. Why is working in the adult film industry different? The same rep could be applied.

Would it not be prudent to only put the information which would help to get you hired? For instance, let's say I used to build bombs while serving in the military. (not what I really did, so hypothetical) Now, if I were applying for an HR Manager position, would anything remotely related to the construction of weapons, designed for one purpose, in anyway be required to be placed on the application? Sure the interviewer might ask, 'what did you do in the service?' Im sure someone would say installing guidance systems, primers, tail fins, mounting lugs and so on would make a person a shoe-in for the role...I agree let the law dawgs battle on this. Im sure there is an unfair hiring practice or discrimination suit beginning to boil.
