So you want to take a natural event (Hurricane) from a political vantage point and compare it to the lapse in judgement of OBAMA's Administration when it comes to Americans abroad. The foreign affairs facts are that Obama and his cabinet members have participated in a cover up over Four Government employees in Libya and apparently many other efforts on behalf of Americans abroad. It would be irresponsible for Romney or for our Congress to ignore the failings of Obama. It is just a shake your head moment for anyone to believe that Obama is making decisions that benefit America, her interests and her people. Obama is perhaps the most self-serving, sneaky and untrustworthy man ever elected to the Presidency. What is even further concerning...His number one DNC competitor from the 2008 election season has proved to be an equal competitor for failure in her position as Secretary of State as her boss. Why so many people in the United States of America wish to see us free fall into an abyss of abject failure to the point of launching America off of the fiscal cliff. Progressives seem to be frothing at the bit for America to go down in flames.

Let us hope that that the people on the Eastern sea shore are prudent in their decisions in the wake of the storm. Stay in and stay safe and please check on your elderly neighbors. Don't take risks with powerlines and high water.

romney said just months ago that fema was "immoral"-

KING: Including disaster relief, though?

ROMNEY: We cannot—we cannot afford to do those things without jeopardizing the future for our kids. It is simply immoral, in my view, for us to continue to rack up larger and larger debts and pass them on to our kids,-

romney is a traitor and IMMORAL.

wonder doesnt romney go live with his money in the cayman islands and do america a real favor

Really? The thought of there being that many USEFULL IDIOT'S out there is what's so scary! You say romney is a traitor and immoral that's a laugh, while Obama and his croney's are out there covering up what happened in benghazi. He's the traitor. The military should march into the whitehouse and throw obama, biden, clinton, and every other liberal nut job in prison.

Hey wake_up_stupid.....why don't you crawl back under the rock you cam out from under. Since Obama was elected the Republican Party and the tea-baggers across this country have behaved like little children crying to their mother because someone took their ball from them. Well wake up @!$%#, this was never your country to take back and you better learn to live with it because we Liberal are here to stay!!!

A more accurate analogy would be; republicans (kid bullies) whine their balls aren't big and bouncy enough (haha), while the liberals (good kids) all have to share a marble. The point being, republicans will never be happy and will always be greedy, while liberals are left to pick up after the republicans and make use of what they disregard, in some instances maybe even make it better, or as my and SGreen's analogy would have it, make playing with a ball the most fun it can be. Being more of a liberal myself we can only hope the republicans pass us the ball a few times, so far they have been stubborn and have not wanted to share with President Obama, effecting us all in a detrimental way, except the rich and mega rich. An odd comment on a weather related article but that's the way the internet works these days. Be safe and have a good day.

The Romney campaign dispatched Brownie to the region, so don't worry, all is well.

The streaming video failed to load, it must be overloaded.

Sandy is not a stupid storm, it is what in the past might bring God like status. The power of Mother nature and it's beauty is an awesome sight to behold.

Don't be stupid, heed the warnings and stay safe.

I just wish this storm would hurry up and end so they can get back to all that wonderful nonstop political coverage. I miss it so much! Plus I'm still undecided and waiting for that one special political ad that will finally tip the scale one way or the other.

I think what we've seen this past year with the fires, droughts, and now this devastating hurricane are just the tip of the iceburg if the US continues on the path we're on, especially the one our leader Obama has us on. Obama has attacked at the heart of God with same sex marriage, forcing mandatory contraception and abortion to be paid by religious organizations. Let me remind you of a quote from Pope John Paul 2 in Detroit September 1987. ....Referiing to the US " The condition of her SURVIVAL: to respect every person, especially the weakest and most defenseless ones, those AS YET UNBORN." If Obama is re-elected and continues with his obstinancy with God by his immoral decisions, we ain't seen nothing yet. Is this recent hurricane just before the election a warning? For all of you who have any faith in God, think about it. As bad as this storm was, it could have been, much, much worse.

So you want to take a natural event (Hurricane) from a political vantage point and compare it to a conspiracy theory you have about the OBAMA Administration when it comes to Americans abroad? The CRAZY CONSPIRACY THEORY is that Obama and his cabinet members have participated in a cover up over Four Government employees in Libya and apparently many other efforts on behalf of Americans abroad. The only proof you have is the ranting and muttering in the echo chamber of the right wing blogosphere.

It would be impossible for Romney or for our Congress to ignore these crazy stories about Obama, along with the birthers and the Donald wanting to see his transcripts. It is just a shake your head moment for anyone to believe that Romney and the Republicans are making decisions that benefit America, her interests and her people, when they have said over and over why they do the things they do to make Obama a one term President and to give "the job creators" i.e. the mega rich a tax break they don't even need.

Romney is perhaps the most self-serving, sneaky and untrustworthy man ever to run for the Presidency his positions change every day. What is even further more concerning...His RNC competitor from the 2012 primary season has proved to be an equal liar and for failure to hide his real position as VP of lady parts.

Why so many Republicans in the United States Congress wish to see us free fall into an abyss of abject failure is just to win this election. They are blocking all sensible JOBS bills to the point of launching America off of the fiscal cliff and finally by electing a man who will bring back the failed fiscal policies of Bush.. Conservatives ARE frothing at the bit mouth for America to go down in flames and have used every method at their disposal including blocking jobs for veterans, curtailing union rights, encouraging car companies to go bankrupt, taking unprecedented amounts of secret money from billionaires, lying, waging a war on women and minorities, and rigging the election every way they can.

You should look in the mirror!

      see2see...

Confession to be blinded by the constitutional charlatan Obama. You couldn't come up with an original thought so you choose to bastardize my words on real issues. Perhaps if you would pay attention to world events you would not need to rely so on far left talking points. It is getting so depressing knowing that so many in America exist without consideration of what is staring into your eyes. Four years of Obama have been devastating to tens of millions in this country who hunt for jobs that no longer exist. Four years of Obama have demoralized millions who could not replace their income, run out of unemployment help and who have lost their homes because of the $$$$$$$ thrown into the wind through programs that had no substance. Four years of Obama have been devastating to the Coffers of the United States when "the DNC/Al Gore plan has lost billions on bets with Green Energy. Personally, I would love to know how that much money has evaporated without any evidence of use in the American Economy. Four years of Obama have had no measurable influence over the many individual economic failures of American Allies. Four years of ignorant or possibly horrific intentional policy has strengthened Al Queda, The Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hezbollah in the Middle East. Diplomacy was vacant when it could have been employed to salvage American influence Abroad. North Korea and Iran are defiant in there interest to impose a new generation of holocaust on the Western World.

Your efforts to attempt to plagiarize in such a ridiculous and juvenile manner seems to suggest you have no thought of your own and the frightening reality is that you possibly posses a vote to determine the future of America. Here is hoping that you are 16.

        #3.1 - Mon Oct 29, 2012 12:44 PM EDT

Vote, today Romney will assure everyone in the storm's path that he fully supports FEMA and spending federal money to protect the victims of this storm. Romney's strategy is to promise everything to everyone. That will give everyone a reason to vote for him. Yes America, we can eat candy for life and not worry about the future, and we don't even have to pay for it. Just believe. Reality is irrelevant.

This is not a coherent sentence and it, like the rest of your ranting, makes no sense along with the actual content. I found your first post so ludicrous I just had to have some fun with it! I won't make fun of your poor writing skills, you must have grown up in a state where education was not well funded or had to leave school early to have a baby. If I had a 16 year-old student who wrote like you, they would get an F from me.

Sandy's wrath of destruction will be short lived in compared to what can be expected if a certain political party manages to get their way. That is why the ranting has infected nearly every aspect of American life. I for one will be very happy when this election is over with, but no mater which side wins, don't expect any civility soon. Our politics have turned into trench warfare and has stalled much like slow moving Sandy.

I for one am GLAD the storm is giving NYC a good washdown. That city is filthy and grimey and when all the rain and wind has done their job, NYC will look and smell a whole lot nicer.

Well maybe it's a good thing that this storm happened. The storm cleaned the rat problem in NYC. Got rid of trash and homeless people off the streets. Maybe in the near future water levies would be built to insure a safer environment. I'd understand if many people didn't feel like leaving their homes, but they should be fined putting 1st response rescuers' life on the line like that also.
