Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has left the Mayo Clinic, where he had been receiving treatment for bipolar depression.
Mayo Clinic spokesman Nick Hanson confirmed to NBC Chicago that Jackson Jr. was no longer a patient at the Rochester, Minnesota, hospital.
Jackson Jr. spokesman Frank Watkins, who is located in Washington D.C., said he wasn't aware the congressman had left the clinic.

"I know nothing," Watkins said. "I was informed by the Trib." The Chicago Tribune reported that Jackson Jr. had left the clinic at around 11 a.m.
This was the congressman's second stint at the famed hospital. He spent much of July at the clinic after receiving a diagnosis for poor mental health. He returned to the clinic weeks before he was reelected to office in the 2nd District, after he was spotted at a D.C. brew pub with other women.
Press began to camp out in front of his D.C. home after the incident and he retreated to the hospital.
Jackson reportedly has been working on a plea deal with federal investigators looking.
Watkins said he knew nothing about that, either.
"If it's going on, it's away from this office," Watkins said about the plea deal.

It makes me sick that this person was re-elected. And shut the hell up about "the election being over". No sh*t it's over. Does that mean that we shouldn't discuss ridiculous election results like this one? And now it's because he's black, right? Talk about being "played out". Our government talks about gun control, mental issues and all kind of things concering owning a gun. True this is not about gun control, but it about mental illness, such a Bi-Polar, and yes is is a horrific disease. The reason I bring up gun control is that it seems every person, young or older, who have went into our schools and killed our children, have menal issues. Now we hear that one of our congressmen, Jesse Jackson Jr. is bi-polar, has been under treatment for mental disease. Apparently the treatment didn't work to wrll This did not make him do what he has admitted too, it was greed Was his wife bi-polor? She wnt along with it .Does it make any one wonder how capable he was as a congressman in voting and passing bills in his menal state. How manypeople knew of this. His father did. Now anyone who has had a mental problem and went for help knows our mental health system is way below standard. Now they are making a deal with this man, he will never get the punishmenthe deserves. He broke the laws like any other American, and now they want to say he did this because he is Bi-polar. Thats my though anyway. It doesn't mater if he is black, white, red or yellow. He is guilty and he desrves what the law says. He is no exception. he should have never been in in the area of government as in congess. Do we have other lawmakers with mental problems??? We will never know until it becomes public. Personally, my opinion is that maybe every person running for these seats and yes even the president who is being considered for office should have a mental evaluation, as well as anyone trying to buy a gun. This not about gun control., its about capability and mental issues in our governmen.
By the way it doesn't mater if this Jesse is Democrat or Republican, its all the same.
