Subscribe to RSSA Southern California man has been arrested in connection with the grisly murder of his 74-year-old wife, authorities confirmed Friday night.
Police found the woman, who had been dismembered, inside the couple's Oceanside, Calif. home at 11:10 p.m. on Friday. The smell coming from the house was so foul that officers had to wear masks while investigating the home.
Detectives located the woman’s 68-year-old husband in downtown Oceanside. He voluntarily went with them for questioning. After interviewing the man, police arrested him on suspicion of his wife’s murder.

Police say they know the couple but that they have not been called to the house for domestic violence-related incidents, Oceanside Police Sgt. Matt Christensen said.
Neighbors told NBC San Diego that the husband and wife formed an odd pair.
“The husband is actually known for dressing up like a woman and walking around the neighborhood. It's just a permanent fixture, I guess. It doesn't freak us out anymore,” neighbor Jason Chandler said.
The murdered wife, Chandler said, “stands out here with a knife and she takes her clothes off out here on the corner.”
Neighbors grew suspicious that something was amiss with the pair when the foul odor coming from the house grew increasingly persistent. Police believe that the deceased woman may have been in the house for weeks.
Neighbor Eric Chavez told NBC News that he noticed the smell about a week and a half ago. He said police had asked neighbors if they heard sounds of “heavy machinery” coming from the home.
“They did ask me about heavy machinery – if I heard anybody using any in the past week or so. I hadn’t heard a single thing,” Chavez said.

I live in California, but I have lived in Florida and In northern Virginia . In virginia, they just hide their weird ways better!! Florida is where I saw the most sad situations. This moms "sister" was a very pretty boy that that now is a pretty girl ( post operation.) I had never seen anyone like that up close plus she kept it a secret! Her ugly, overweight, angry sister told me after I said," wow your sister looks like a model(she did!) stupid me I could not tell!!! She was very pretty. They were originally from new jersey . so crazy is every where!!! Maybe the good weather attracts trouble. One of the nuttiest guy i ever knew in California is an actor and he was originally from the mid-west. All transplants!!! Maybe this couple was into violent drugs..MEth?

Wow.....so sad & heartbreaking....obviously both of them had mental problems, and the police must have been there on many occasions (taking your clothes off on the corner with a knife??) - why wasn't she institutionalized? where were social services? family? i feel horrible for him now - none of US know what was going on in his head (or his heart) when this all happened.......Just no words.....I feel bad she died, but I think there's alot more going on than we've been told............RIP

What's happening isn't weird if you're familiar with Romans, chapter 1 and also the book of Revelation. As the return of Christ approaches, what appears to be mental illiness will, in fact, be demon possession - and folks who open themselves up this dead-end situation often have super-human physical power which often leads them to kill others and/or themselves. This "descent" of humanity says a lot about the shmucks in Hollywood who glamorize perversion and violence (for money, of course!) and never seem to have a conscience about the effects of their trade on society's fringe. But there's nothing wrong with Hollywood that a ten-point quake couldn't permanently fix - and even this will occur, according to Rev. 16! Just my two cents.
