SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Police say a Massachusetts man left his girlfriend's 2-year-old son in a car while he went shopping for Black Friday bargains, then went home with his new 51-inch flat screen television and left the toddler behind.
Police, alerted by store security, found the boy asleep in the vehicle in a Kmart parking lot at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.
They forced their way into the car and took the boy to the hospital as a precaution.
Meanwhile, they tracked the man to his Springfield home.
Hordes of shoppers hit the stores on Black Friday
He told police he lost the boy while shopping, panicked and called someone else for a ride. The boy's mother was working.
The 34-year-old man was not arrested and not immediately charged, but police say they expect to charge him with reckless endangerment to a child.
Though Black Friday officially kicked off the holiday shopping season this morning, many shoppers were already bargain-hunting before Thanksgiving dinner had a chance to settle. CNBC's Courtney Reagan reports from the Black Friday frenzy in Dayton, Ohio.

How the heck do you forget that A) you drove there and B) you had a kid with you?
Idiot.
Must have been one heck of a deal.
Had his own vehicle with child in it..why not look in vehicle first..and why call for another ride ( he didn't say his vehicle broke down). Something missing in this story. He panicked isn't a good reason not to check the vehicle before he left!
He said he couldn't find the car after shopping and got a ride home.
I sincerely hope he is arrested. Seriously...you can't find your car so you get someone to come get you and your precious tv, but you just leave your innocent, helpless child in a parked car in a Walmart parking lot full of who knows who???? How that isn't immature, selfish, and criminal I give up. Good thing it isn't hotter outside or this would be a totally different ending.
If that man lived in my house the locks would be changed and he would be out on his a** before the sun set.
It wasn't his child it was his girl friend, this has long relationship written all over it.
Can you say buzzing his azz off, sounds like he enjoyed the holiday a little too much. I've heard of turkey comas but this is more like turkey brain dead.
I'm thinking he forgot the kid was with him from the get go. He went inside and blew his money on a big ass TV that would not fit in his car and called someone with a truck to come get him and his new toy and forgot all about ever having the kid with him in the first place.
No one is nominating me for dad of the century but, I'm willing to bet that this guy is just trash.
ram - it was a Kmart parking lot.
Reading comprehension...priceless.
If it were me, I would prefer jail or prison to what my wife would do to me.

Because the "Holiday season" brings out the true nature of people. In this case it is greed.
"Massachusetts man left his girlfriend's 2-year-old son in a car while he went shopping for Black Friday bargains, then went home with his new 51-inch flat screen television and left the toddler behind."
Although this guy sounds like an idiot for leaving a two year old in a car how did he get his television home? If he used his car then what happened to the kid? Hope this ass spends a few days in jail for negligence. Maybe his girlfriend should reevaluate this relationship.
Are we all reading the same article here? I don't see where it said this in the article I'm reading.
"He said he couldn't find the car after shopping and got a ride home"
My article has. "He told police he lost the boy while shopping, panicked and called someone else for a ride."
And it happen at K-mart not Walmart.
I guess you can call this guy single minded, TV on brain all else excluded. Now looking for new girlfriend.
I think it's a case of "Liar, lair, no mas pantalones..."
And i'b bet she stays with him
living,I think you hit the nail on the head. The tv was too big for his car so he called somebody with a truck to help him get it home. The hell with his girlfriend's kid. He had to get that big ass tv home so he wouldn't miss any sports events. What a moron. I hope the girlfriend has enough sense to dump him.
I was expecting something along the lines of; man buys tv, removes car seat to make space in car.
What a lowlife. My first guess was the guy is in his 20s or 30s. Poor kid.. all alone in a car like that so late at night when he should be in his warm bed.
Drunk. Betcha.

No, he put his greed and materialism ahead of another human being. That sounds more like a republican.
What sadistic merchandising guru
thinks that asking employees to work on Thanksgiving ...
or in the wee hours of the morning,
in order to attract ONE TIME BUYERS
to a SALE
that could be held at any of the
THIRTY THREE DAYS prior to Christmas?
Ohhh...the kind of "gurus" that appeal to idiots who are totally distracted by a 51 inch TV set.
AMERICA!!! F_CK YEA!!!!!!!!
What a M@!$%#. "I don't know where I pahhrked my cahhhrrr so i gave up and went home with my new TV.".
First off I don't believe this geniusforgot anything. Children take priority over anything else. at least leave the kid with a family member if your going to just leave him in the car. Arrest his ass and throw him in jail with bubba.
RI most of the workers volunteered to work yesterday because(and here's a surprise)The needed the extra pay
Yes...and those extra hours, for extra pay, could have been extended hours ANY OTHER TIME during the next THIRTY THREE DAYS....
but creating a maniacal pushing, shoving frenzy on Thanksgiving? I just don't see the rationale.
If BUSINESS wants to REALLY put more FRENZY on...why not be OPEN ON CHRISMAS DAY for those AFTER CHRISTMAS SALES so workers can get that "extra" pay?
This idiot should definitely be locked up for reckless endangerment of a child just for leaving the kid in the car while he went shopping for his TV. After leaving the kid behind I hope that the girlfriend has the sense to throw him out on his ass. He should not be allowed to have custody of any minor since he has demonstrated that he is completely incapable of taking care of a child.
As that viral picture of a dude with a mullet holding up a sign reading "Get a Brain Morans!"
RI, don't be surprised when some store Does open Christmas day. After all, people need those cheap chinese TV's so they can watch the news about the lack of jobs here.
Who are the Morans?
*Single unwed mother* should never trust *this month's boyfriend* to take care of *not-my-baby*.
It probably had two HDMI inputs.
Maybe his tv was too big to fit in the car? And 2nd, tv will give 5 years of pleasure. How many years of pleasure from a kid?
More obvious evidence of the social and moral decay consuming our society.
Only in america can people trample each other for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have. Mobs in a feeding frenzy over the latest Smartphone. People shooting each other over a parking space.
And here, some miscreant overwhelmed by his new Big Screen TV goes amnestic about his car and the child he's responsible for that's in it.
AT 1:30 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!
There can be be no rational explanation for this. Temporary insanity can't even be accepted. For anyone to be so overwhelmed by the purchase of a meaningless TV to forget about an innocent 2 year old child can only be described as criminal.
But then again, when we are constantly being indoctrinated to consume more and more, this type of irrational behavior is to be expected. The advertisement prelude to the holidays is just as adolescent and manipulative as the months of campaign ads we were all subjected to. The most embarrassing part is, they work.
Any behavior that endangers the safety of an innocent child should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." ~JFK
Time for forced sterilization...can't have these idiot genes messin' up the pool.
Oh, that's coming. Not this year, maybe not next, but I'll betchya the year after. It'll be the big "Christmas Return-Day Sale" where people, after opening their gifts in the morning of Christmas (or night before) don't like them and want to return them to get "better" stuff. It's coming. Be afraid; be very afraid.
I, and two friends, went out of curiosity to watch the Thanksgiving "night Black Friday" shopping frenzy at places like Walmart, et. al. We wanted to see what corporatism/consumerism has done to once decent, civilized human beings. Those corporatists sure have managed to control the consumerists. What a nightmare. People pushing and shoving to get the cheapest Communist-Chinese garbage to make corporatists even richer than they are.
The most disgusting thing, which we saw at 11:00 p.m. on "Thanksgiving" night, was a mother dragging two small children - toddlers as in this article - through the store. Both were crying from not being able to sleep, one so hard he had snot running down his face. What was really frightening was the look of intensity on their "mother's" face, screaming at them: "Move! Move! Move!"
I'm one of those that hopes that Wal-Mart, if we all stick together, collapses and dies and the owners are driven into poverty. What about those "employed" by the "nation's largest single employer?" They can get better jobs elsewhere and will do so. The ones who can't will receive unemployment benefits paid for by the former owners of Wal-Mart. Tax the Walton family and all other Wal-Mart owners into destitution. I want to see the toddler daughter of one of the owners cries as the dolly she has, her last and most precious possesion, screaming: "Daddy, they're taking my dolly!" ripped from her hand by us while making her parents hopelessly watch.
This idiot needs to be euthanized first and then castrated, in that order....no reverse order, no rethinking why in that order...just do it...
This pos should not be allowed within 300 yards of this child whom he endangered and spend 6 months in jail to consider his stupidity
Thank God the kid did not freeze to death!
He deserves to be yelled at by his girl friend when she gets home, in a way many a husband would be all too familiar with, should they annoy their wife off to no end... Whathe did was that bad. Then, it might be best if she reconsiders whether she wants to remain with a greedy jerk who would place the value of a TV over the value of her kid's life; and if not, DUMP HIM.
If they're living together in her place, this could be better yet, because she could grab all his stuff, and quite literally kick him to the curb. Notify the police "in case they do want to arrest him", then just send him packing outa her life...
Welfare wealth being put to good use. Who says poverty doesn't pay? It paid well enough to score a 51-inch big screen.
You folks are really missing the point of this story. It isn't about forgetting he had a kid with him - it is about priorities. With the devastation wrought by the hurricane and blizzards, this guy's main priority is replacing the water-logged TV. They can buy necessities anytime - the insurance checks must be used wisely.
Mass. DHHS will handle this situation. He'll have to put his new purchase in storage for a while and then later, he'll not be allowed near children. Hope the kid's Mom will find more responsible caregivers in the future.
No question this guy is a real idiot but the Mom should also be held accoutable for sending a two year old out at that time of morning. This is why our poor kids are such nut jobs, their not eating right or sleeping when they should and have to spend time with jerks like this guy.
the words of wit from larry in last stooge movie;'too much lead in the water'.
Dee; the child's mom was a work. She didn't let the child go out. The guilty person, according to this story, is the mom's boyfriend.
I think that had a lot to do with it. But still....
Did they confiscate his tv? I don't think he'll realize the gravity of this whole situation until they confiscate the tv. What better way to tell if a man will make a good daddy, than to send him off shopping with your kid. I think this is the girlfriend's wake up call. If she doesn't wake up, then Lord help that little child, because he's going to need it!
just more proof that, while phones are getting smarter and getting credit is harder... people are getting more stupid as time goes on
It was in Massachusetts. What do you expect?
LOLOLOL
Sad fact is that there is a lot of truth in that. It was the excitement of the TV and the fact that this was not his child that caused this in addition to some other factors I would guess that I won't mention here.
Black Friday is disgusting.
@davefromdanapointca: We in New Hampshire call our neighbors to the south "M@!$%#s." Now you know all you need to. :)
It's always nice to know that people have their priorities straight!
@ Dave in CA: Oh, look! My comment was edited. Now it makes no sense. OK, let me try again for the censors. People in NH call people from our neighboring state Mass (hang on) holes. Let's see if this prints! (1 minute later: Yes! It worked! Too bad I had to disguise my otherwise pithy comment, lol!)
I am always suprised at the "mothers" that take their todlers out to Black Friday. The babies are doing what babies do, cry, whine, shout. Why do the mothers get so upset with them and scream and jerk them around. They are doing what babies do????? Shame on these mothers.
Widowed mother with a 2 year old here and speaking for myself guys like this MORON are why I will never have the nerve to date!!! I know there are nice men out there but I bet this poor kids mom thought big screen guy was nice too. Ignore the fact he forgot the kid HE LEFT THE KID IN THE CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Who in their right mind ever leaves a 2 year old alone in a car? In a parking lot? In the middle of the night? Sorry but shoot the jack a** and do the rest of us women a favor! Remember he will date again and some other poor woman will end up with this jerk!
PS No I do not hate men. My husband was a real man. That idiot is NOT a man. I do not know what to call him but having male form doesn't make one a man. There are other qualifications that make a male a man chief among them being taking care of those weaker than ones self and being responsible. Major fail on both accounts with that idiot.
some people ain't smart...it ain't we mean to do stupid stuff it just happen's...cause we ain't that smart...ya'll get over yourself being perfect...
This is a prime example of why I fear for the welfare of defenseless children today.
How many, many times do you hear this similar story? Mother is WORKING live in boyfriend is not. Boy friend SHOULD BE watching child...child is lost or injured or even killed by non-working boyfriend being supported by mother. Women get a a grip...you do not really NEED them. As a single I know this for a fact. If they cannot support YOU AND YOUR CHILD do NOT get involved. Get county assistance to go after the father for child support.
IF this guy gets jail time he will be feed three times a day and sit around and watch TV and play on the computer all day. Just the kind of life he is lookiing for. No punishment there.
I was going to comment - but then the computer shop just called and said my new computer is ready - is it okay if I leave my two cats here alone while I pick it up?
This is your brain on pot.
Working on holidays adds more money on the paycheck and on things like this it really doesn't matter if you agree with something or not. You can either work and bitch or you can act like spoiled children and find a reason to complain. Really it doesn't matter. You can visit family any other time of the year.
Yep. It can affect your judgement for days even if you haven't smoked it that day. Ability to remember important things that would normally come to mind unless you got stoned three days ago.
51-inch flatscreen for a 2-year old - sounds like a good trade.
At least it isn't another "boyfriend beats infant to death while single mother is at work" story.
It's a good thing he doesn't live in Arizona in the middle of summer. Boyfriend cooks child in car for 52-inch flatscreen TV while childs mother works. Forgets where his car is or was it her car, does a real man forget where his car is at, more to this story, maybe we can get a scoop from the NFL network. Warren Sapp would be the perfect person for this.
I'd take the tv. It's more entertaining and less hassle.
Certainly the makings of an ad campaign...
"Deals so good you'll forget your own kids" (I know it wasn't his kid, but you have to use creative license...
Doubt the mom cares that much about her 2-year-old, if she's already with a guy like that. She does get credit for having a job, which the BF likely doesn't. He probably doesn't own a car, either. A 2-year-old needs a car seat, which means that was the mother's car the BF took - and left, with kid inside - to Walmart. The reality is, most guys would rather have a big screen tv than a 2-year-old, even when the kid is their own. ;-) Hopefully, she's been using birth control; a vasectomy ought be part of his sentencing.
How about Take our deals and leave your kids or some other kids, just call a friend! Discount Double Check! Bears fan!!!
He left yhe kid and took the T.V. You don't have to feed a T.V. Probably paid for it with foodstamps so he couldn't afford to feed the Kid.
You can't pay for a t.v. with foodstamps.
that about sums up how stupid people get for black friday shopping. people, PLEASE stop the nonsense. is that flat screen tv really worth risking a child's life???? i can't believe how many people left their homes and family on thanksgiving so they could go stand on line for hours just to give their money to a big corporation. All those CEO's and their rich stock holders are laughing at all the lower and middle income people who are dumb enough to fall for their marketing ploys.
If people want to leave their homes and families on Thanksgiving to shop, that's their business. Considering some family dynamics, standing in line to shop is preferable to being at home with them. Personally, there is no sale good enough to make me want to fight the crowds.
Not everybody loves or even enjoys their family. For these people getting together is more of a torturous chore than a joy. I say let people do what they want. If they chose to shop instead of spend time with you then at least you know where their heart lies and how they really feel about you. Then you both can move on.
Also I think people have to consider that some men do not care about another man's child the same way they would care about their own. I'm not condoning it, but it is what it is. Women should think about this before they get involved with a man. I've heard quite a few men say to me in private moments how annoyed they are at having to take care of a child who isn't theirs. They can't help it, but "he or she's not mine" they say. They play favorites with their biological child, too.
Then tell the woman they are not interested in dating a woman with children. Then just don 't sleep with her and become her boyfriend or live with her. Simple right?
Even if it is the choice of the shoppers whether to spend time with family or spend time shopping, it isn't the choice of all those retail workers who are forced to work mandatory hours. The whole Black Friday thing is a sick reflection of what the holidays have become. And we're all worse off for it. Especially the victims like this baby boy... and you know there are more stories of kids being ignored this weekend by people who place items over people.
I know men that don't even care about their own biological children.
Something is wrong with this story- HOW on earth do you take a large TV home without a car?
It says that he panicked and called someone else for a ride... Makes absolutely no sense to me.
did he panic because he couldn't fit the big screen TV inside his vehicle?
Maybe the idiot thought the kid drove off without him? Gotta get that deal on the cheapie TV, though.
Read the story and you will know how he accomplished it. Everybody please read story before commenting.
It probably makes no sense to you because it only would make sense to a selfish prick. Arrgh.
Did he think the kid drove his car home? Is that why he called a friend for a ride? wow
Please read the story! It does not say that he could not find the car; he told police he lost the child and panicked and asked someone else to come get him and the TV and went home. It was store security that alerted police to the child sleeping in the car, and forced the door opened to get the child. Total BS. If you lost the child, you would alert security right way...They could look in the store, and also look for his car in the lot. One doesn't just drive off with a TV, if a kid is missing. He undoubtably couldn't get it into the car, so figured he would leave the kid in the car until he got the TV home, then he could come back for the kid. Too bad that alert people saw the child alone in the car and called the police. This guy is negligent and self-centered. He could have gotten the TV in the friend's car, then followed him to his home with the child. No excuse.
I have to agree with jerseyshoremarie... This guy's first concern should NOT have been getting the TV home, but rather locating his child. From there, had he successfully found the child then he could have as jerseyshoremarie has said, followed his friend home with both the TV and the child. It is unfortunate that this sort of thing happened... However given the craziness of the Black Friday sales... I can't help but sort of (and i use that phrase carefully) understand how it could have happened. Some well-meaning person goes to the store on a Christmas gift run... in the midst of all the unbelieveable savings and flashy new "stuff" its easy to lose track of more important things (like ones own child) At the same time though I don't like what happened and certainly wouldn't excuse this man's actions, however, if anything, this should turn into a lesson for our society to consider... Are we moving too fast in today's society? So fast that we lose track of what should be the most important to us? Anyway, thats my thoughts.
This is what makes me lose my faith in humanity.
Does it really even matter???
I got a 55 in TV for my wife.
I thought that was a great deal.
Gotta get another wife now 'cause I got my eye on a nice surround sound system.....
So Spaceman how you enjoying the couch and the whole in that TV. Been married for 29 years, TV, Washers and Dryers, are not things you get your wife, they are things you get you selfish.
Who really cares what you did, Spaceman, and how is it relevant to the news story?
Lighten up, people. He was making a joke! an old joke, I can't remember who said it. But it was a joke!
Spaceman,
Clearly some people have no sense of humor and didn't understand your post.
Oh we got it. It wasn't funny than, it isn't funny now, I see you didn't get the second joke! It's like the three Stooges Funny as H311 for men! Sledge Hammers over another mans head not so funny in real life! It's the reason people without a sense of humor won't let your kids watch them because they will be influenced by them, but you will let them go to a Lady Goo Goo concert where she is dressed or not dressed and let your daughter walk out of the house dressed just like her and hope the boys don't notice. WTF.
HAHA!! I got the joke, and really people, it was just a joke!!
"What's the matter with you people?! Don't you know a joke when you hear one?! Ha, ha ha,ha,ha"
Gene Wilder - Young Frankenstein - 1974
A Classic!
here's a joke.
A knuckle-head runs into a bar with a puddle of $hit in his hands bragging to the fellas...'' LOOK, I ALMOST STEP ON THIS!!!
I am always amazed and disgusted at the carelessness/selfishness some parents have regarding who they allow into their children's lives.
34 going on 2.
wonder if he still has the girl friend
Probably. Why would anyone say oh sure take my 2 yr old shopping with you on Black Friday
If he does still have the girlfriend, they both need to be carefully checked out.
Reminds me of Jerry Springer.. But I love him Jerry.. She needs to kick his sorry ass out and keep the tv for the 2 year old.. If he doesn't have a job who paid for the tv, she did.. I hope she doesn't keep the loser but I have seen some desperate women in my day..
I guarantee she did not know that he took the kid to go shopping. And yeah, he should be history.
What 2 yr old would know how to get back to the vehicle on his own in such a mess? This guy is lying about more than this!! I'm sure he has done dumber things and yet the girlfriend allows him to take the child with him???? Something smells pretty fishy
Well he couldn't make it back to the car ;-} He had to call for a ride home!
Why do you think she "allowed" him anything? Men like him don't care, they just do what they want.
The dip-$hit probably didn't forget about the kid. He got lucky and purchased a 50 inch TV on a good deal and couldn't fit the TV into his little fuking pinto....so, he called a friend with a truck for a ride home.
Once home, the numb-skul probably got so exited about his lucky find and just coudn't wait to set up the TV.........That's when the mongaloid losts his mind and the kid became a distance memory.
you mean besides the girlfriend?
He should of been arrested. He drove to the store with the child, its black Friday deal for TV...how long you think it will take to get the TV deal in the store a few minutes???? Don't think so. The child could of died being only two years old left in a vehicle at night, gets cold up in Massachusett even now.
No,no,no.....he shouldn't be arrested. I think he should be on a reality TV show.
Yet if anything would have happened to the little boy K-Mart would have been sued.
I'll bet if you check any large shopping mall parking lot you'll find kids alone in cars.
I guess he didn't plan well that was the first problem
What Idiot would even take a infant/child to that kind of situation is mentaly incapacitated as it is
I have heard of people being trampled to death as it is what do you think would happen to a 2year old
Thank God he doesn't have kids of his own because if he can't handle a child that isn't his what would he do with his own ?
Also if i drove to K-mart bet your sweet ass im driving back in the car i took unless it got carjacked I think this guy just didn't care and made a story that has more holes then swiss cheese give this guy some time or make him work in a day care with screaming kids till he learns the value of human life
Tommy <<~~~~~>> NOPE! He should not be allowed wthin a mile of any kids, either his own or his girlfriends. However, if he has any of his own, he shouldn't be denied the privilege of supportng them, although he should not have visiting rights. After he gets out of the slammer, of course! Live long and prosper!!!
Any fool can make a baby...or however that line goes. I suspect that since store security was alerted to the kid in the car, that the guy called for a ride because the TV didn't fit in his car. He then figured he'd leave the kid with the car because he was probably sleeping, and planned to drive back for the kid and the car. The story about not finding the kid was just to cover his a$$ when the police knocked on his door.
There's nothing new or unusual about these incidents. Pennsylvania has huge casinos now, and people are always leaving the kids in the car. Sometimes they get caught, and sometimes they don't. I've seen 5-yr-olds playing in the neighborhood at 11pm, and have thought about calling the police a few times.
The Black Friday phenomenon was something that I always viewed as crass, and not worth the silliness.
"Vater werden ist nicht schwer, Vater sein dagegen sehr" ("It's easy to become a father, but being one is harder rather")
Wilhelm Busch
Had to translate that one in German class. Have never forgotten it in German or English.
"police say they expect to charge him with reckless endangerment to a child."
Wait till the judge gets this case.
So sir you got a great deal on a black Friday TV, but forgot about the child!
You sir didn't get a great deal on that TV..I'm fining you $2500 plus 90 days of community service, also I notice you have some past drug convictions..that is 30 days in the slammer for you now also.
Great deal 'NOT' sir.
Perfect scenario for this guy, mike. Let's hope that is exactly what happens to him!
Where O where is Judge Judy... She would go to town on this one.
Like most msnbc articles, I am left with more questions than answers.
I agree, there must be more than this. The part about panicking and calling for a ride doesn't make sense, but then again, maybe the guy is just really selfish and dumb. Sometimes, we hope there is more because we cannot believe how people act. I guess there really are people like that out there, what is worse is that someone even dumber leaves their kid with them!
He panicked, when he realized the TV wouldn't fit in his car, and called a friend with a truck. If the cops had given him another couple of hours to watch his new TV and drink beer with his truck owning friend, he would have gone back and got the kid and car, before his girlfriend got home from work. The moral here is, don't buy a truck unless you need one for work, your friends will always want you to help them move stuff.
This is extra funny for me, I'm getting ready to score a 62" flat screen on sale, later tonight. I already know it won't fit in my car. Instead of bothering friends with a truck, I'm taking some nylon rope, so I can tie it down on the roof of the car. Too bad I don't have access to a kid to put up there and help hold it steady on the corners. This Bozo just failed to plan ahead.
Before any gyullible types are unable to contain theselves, I'm not really going to tie it to the roof of my car. My favorite local taxi service has a van.
I've seen stories where a judge can make people do things like hold signs that reads "only and idiot would drive on a side walk around a bus"on a street where they drove on side walks to go around a school bus unloading children, a very creative punishment for this guy would be, Bolt the TV on his head with a metal traction head gear as if his neck was broken for the rest of his life. bolt that sucker right into his shoulder bones with surgery.
Even an Arizona judge would not do that, but one of them could probably come up with an appropriate punishment.
What a sad commentary on the American public. People would rather score a big TV than care about their children or family on Thanksgiving. I refuse to visit any store for Christmas presents on Thanksgiving weekend. It is a time to reflect on the good things in life--not the cheap things!
Leaving a 2 year old in the car while you purchase a television?? This man is a dumb ass. Additionally, the Mother may want to figure out some alternate choices for childcare, not to mention boyfriends. You can't fix stupid!
Where WAS mom? Did she not notice bfriend returned without her child OR the car?
She was at work.
Between this story and some of the responses in this blog, we are truly a country headed for trouble.
We're a country focused on television, XBox, beer, Facebook, Twitter, sports, over-eating, NASCAR and corn dogs...and we wonder why jobs are being outsourced. We complain about athletes making millions to hit a ball or catch a ball, yet we buy lottery tickets so we can get paid millions to do absolutely nothing. We complain that companies outsource jobs to countries where the workers will work for a cheaper wage, yet we hit the stores at 5am so we can get a television at a cheaper price. My God, I sure hope the Mayans were right.
Nissan- Well said.
Hey there, not all beer is shallow drinking, yelling, getting into bar fights, and losing your morality. The brewing of beer has been a part of human cultures since 5000 years B.C. Many people today still enjoy the hobby of brewing their own brews, different flavors and subtleties. The problem is with the people, not with the object.
And as for the Mayans, they do not think that the world is going to end on December 21, 2012. That date is simply the end of a Baktun, scientists have known for over 100 years that the Mayan calendar does not end then, it is simply a 140 year-old misinterpretation that has been Hollywood-ized. In fact the Mayan calendar extends for thousands of years past that date, as one researcher said in an article earlier this year "December 21, 2012 is about as important to the Mayan calendar as the last word on page 500 of a 10,000 page book."
Nuts! I thought November 7 was the preliminary strike.
Well... Yes it is. Then and now.
Note to Mom--lose the loser. He is not fit to care for small, living things.
....true, but you're assuming she is fit to care for small, living things?
Nissan- why do you assume she isn't? Its obvious the BF is a total loser, but all the morons out here who are blaming the Mom- you don't know jack about her. Ever try to find a babysitter on a freaking holiday....especially on a night like Thanksgiving night.....cut her some slack.
Mom was probably blowing the neighbor's kid in the next trailer over.
His " girl friend " will be available this holiday season guys. I have a funny feeling he will be enjoying that brand new TV all by himself.

Why should he? Probably, She paid for it. She should kick him out and keep the TV.
