Subscribe to RSSA former teacher in Florida's Broward County who was accused of soliciting massages from students has lost her license to teach in the state.
Cheryl Grampa, 46, was barred by the state's Education Practices Commission in an order this month, the Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.
She had taught at Cooper City Elementary.
School district investigators said that during the 2009-2010 school year, one boy touched her breasts and vaginal area and she failed to notify the school administration about the inappropriate conduct, according to the state's complaint.
No criminal charges were filed, but the Broward School Board voted to suspend her for five days and ordered her to undergo classroom management training, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Two psychological evaluations later found her "unfit for duty as a classroom teacher" and she resigned last December, according to state records.
Grampa, who is listed as living in Bellaire, Texas, did not attend the state discussion of her case on Sept. 27 in Orlando, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie, who was not in the district when the case was investigated, said he did not know why Grampa was not fired, but believed that revoking her license was appropriate.

Women are not discriminated against. That is just a big lie perpetrated by the feminazies and the left wing Obama loving types. Men are discriminated against and in this situation it would have been a completely different matter with jail time for a male teacher asking for "massages". However, to be fair, there is one guy who got away with having some massages from a girl less than half his age in the "Oral Office", and of course there was the guy who became a hero of the left who killed a young staffer while driving after drinking and partying over a bridge in Chappaquidic. He didn't suffer any damages, and in fact was honored as a hero for repeatedly "diving to try to save the poor little "hot for Teddy chickie. Hmmmm?
Anyone remember Mary Jo Kopeckne? Her death is the reason I decided that there is NOT and equal justice system in the U.S.A., and that the rich an powerful like the Kennedy's do not fall under the same jurisprudence that the lower class citizenry deals with on a day to day basis.

That's not the dame. These were children! Elementary school children. I wouldn't want my children giving a massage to some crusty old perv(male or female).
Not all teachers are bad. It's just a few who make it look bad for the rest, just like cops and clergy who are intrusted with the care of others. When one of these animals get caught they should get double the penalty a layperson would get due to the violation of that trust. Lock her up after due process.
No doubt, this teacher will end up in Arizona. They all do. Doctors, lawyers, teachers--anyone who has lost their license somewhere else in the US beat feet to AZ so they can restart their so-called career afresh. How many times have we heard of someone in the news who has committed some heinous act, and then we find out they did the same thing back in Nebraska, or Indiana, or New York, but no one in AZ checked their background?? Way too many!

im a male and i work at a pre-school and i have to go out of my way to make sure that im not questioned about being a pedophile. the women there take kids to the restrooms, change diapers, hug the kids, pat their backs at nap time and will stay inside by themselves with the kids. i dont do any of that because i dont want any parents getting the wrong idea about me. yet i still have parents questioning why i work with kids and ive had parents ask me if im a "faggot" or a "perve". yet there are cases like this where women molest kids and people joke about it and all she gets is fired?. she should be locked up and treated the same as sandusky.

Where were these teachers when I was attending school. School would have so less trying and so much more pleasurable. Yo have elementary teachers who gave their permission to fondle, Senior High school teachers having sex with their 16 and 17 year olds (I guess when we're at our peak performance). the only teachers who fly under the radar are the professors because after 21, it's with a fellow adult.

if you ever had a shoulder rub then you actually had sex each and every time with the attitude making massage be about sex even after reading no real evidence of her doing wrong in the article - if she did do criminal wrong and massage being what all of you make it be then there would be criminal charges - none filed against her

It's a long way from your shoulders to your vagina. ( I hope) Big difference from shoulder massage to a petting zoo. But to negate all that it was inappropriate to ask them for a massage anyway. If you need a permission slip from a parent to pretty much do anything at school why does she feel she can take it upon herself to get a massage from students? Allowing them to touch parts that most parents try to keep hidden from their own kids till they are older? Mary Kay Laturno got a slap on the wrist and violated her probation with the same minor several times during her probation. But then that is the point exactly. Why was she not given a longer sentence and then allowed probation?
Give me a break. A massage? Its not like she had them cutting her out her hair and manicuring her nails.
Have to agree with the comments that point out if it was a male teacher that the male teacher would be in jail. Where the female teacher is just seen as unfit for her job and not arrested. If it was a male teacher it would also be all over the news and not just an article on line.

Well male teachers can't get pregnant. :) One thing people have to realize is people have sex no matter the age or the gender and they need to accept this fact. If a female teacher was having sex with another teacher then no one would say anything. But since its a female teacher having sex with a male student she loses her license to teach. If it was a male teacher having sex with a female student its like people said they would be put in jail. If a teacher forced a student to have sex with them then they would be put in jail. But if a teacher had sex with a student and the student was willing to have sex then what is the big deal.

I know instead of taking away their license to teach they should increase their pay to $20.00 a hour. :)
What gets me is people in every level of government have gotten caught with their pants down or their dress up and the press still makes a big deal about it.
I think they got her age wrong. OMG she looks 46x2 or 3 better yet I have seen as 81 year old man look a whole lot better than this. In fact, he looked late 60s to early to mid 70s. In my opinion, she should have been immediately jailed along with license revoked and dragged out of the school. Child molesters come in both genders!!
By the way. When I was in Orlando last year, that one week, 5 days actualy, there were no less than six stories in the news about sexual assaults against children or young people. Way to go Fla. Sick Sex Capital of the world, Bankok, move over.
If she hadn't been caught Bankok would have been her next move.
She is accused, not guilty. Big difference. Until she is found guilty in a court of law and all the facts are brought to light, let's not rush to judgment.
Well she lost her license to teach and she was not arrested so i guess that makes her not guilty!
