Subscribe to RSSA former teacher in Florida's Broward County who was accused of soliciting massages from students has lost her license to teach in the state.
Cheryl Grampa, 46, was barred by the state's Education Practices Commission in an order this month, the Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.
She had taught at Cooper City Elementary.
School district investigators said that during the 2009-2010 school year, one boy touched her breasts and vaginal area and she failed to notify the school administration about the inappropriate conduct, according to the state's complaint.
No criminal charges were filed, but the Broward School Board voted to suspend her for five days and ordered her to undergo classroom management training, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Two psychological evaluations later found her "unfit for duty as a classroom teacher" and she resigned last December, according to state records.
Grampa, who is listed as living in Bellaire, Texas, did not attend the state discussion of her case on Sept. 27 in Orlando, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie, who was not in the district when the case was investigated, said he did not know why Grampa was not fired, but believed that revoking her license was appropriate.

The real problem is that no one seems to address the fact that IF THE TEACHER WAS A MAN AND THE STUDENT WAS A YOUNG GIRL, THE WHOLE COMMUNITY WOULD WANT HIM HANGED.

So darn tired of these so called teachers, both male/female, aka... sexual predators molesting our children. We trust in sending our kids to school, not to be subjected to these inappropriate deviate acts upon our children, but for them to be taught and receive a good education. The laws need to be changed, this seems to be getting worse all the time! If it were up to me, castration seems to be a good way of dealing w/this. I'm probably pretty sure, that if this was the punishment for these acts, that they wouldn't happen nearly as often. Remember, there are countries that deal w/these and other crimes...you steal... your hands are cut off, you rape/molest... you're castrated etc... It wouln't take more than a few timesdoing this sortof punishment, and the problems would definitely decrease. So what if it's not humane...tell that to the victim, who has it happen to them, some times repeatedly!!! Just an example, and I'm a Penn State fan...do you think that f**k**g pervert/molestor J.Sandusky would have done those things to all those young boys, had he been castrated and fed his own scrotum/penis...bet not!!! The time is now to stop the violence to our youth once & for all!!!!!

Is anybody else beginning to think our schools are a dangerous place for our children? I passed that point years ago, and I am beyond tired of our judicial system treating these criminals, lightly.
For those of you who didn't know it the liberals have taken over our education system, from grade school through the colleges and universities. Now we have the derangement of the liberal mind acting itself out in our schools and this is what you get. If you don't vote for conservatives and constitutionalists then you can expect to get more of this deranged behavior throughout all of society. Good luck.

Even removal of genatailia does not stop a true petafile. They can not be cured, they can be drugged but that just makes them unable to contribute as a benificial part of scociety. they become just another leach on scociety.
Perhaps we should stop sexualizing young girls and boys in the media and teahc our children appropriate behaviors, and be sure they know true love from their family so they will not seek it in unappropriate places.
I had a few female teachers earlier in my life that I would have GLADLY massaged and I would have needed no "reward" offered either.
Perhaps we should find the good teachers and praise them for their good work. Seems all anyone wants to talk about is the bad apples.
I challenge you all to get to know your local teachers (even those of you who do not have children) and let the good ones know you appreciate them, and report those you believe are not doing their jobs. We as American TAX PAYERS are their bosses, and we should act like it.

The unions are just the bullies that protect bad teachers they are not the boss. It is the idea that WE THE PEOPLE do not run this country is how we lost controle. Stand up and take the power back tell the unions and the Liers in Washington we will not take it anymore.

But I did get the impression George Bush was fit to teach a class of Kindergarten children in Florida on 9/11 right at the time of the attacks?--so I guess they have gotten stricter about credentials/psychology?--Because to me that was by comparing to winning the National Lotto of probability, is at least 1000 times more surprising of such a coincident, so the children was used as a presidential scape got for saving his life for prosecution!
I am still wondering why he could not have done that right up here in DC or had the kindergarten come to the White House?--Anyone looking at his face in that kindergarten after he got the message, clearly can see that he was "pretend" surprised!--I have had many highly educated employees, but I can spot "their agenda" by their facial expressions a mile away!

How did this story break? Who found out and how? There is no reason for this woman to do such thing. Her education nor peers would approved such actions either. I know when I was in the elem. I would have loved to be in that kid's position and would not have said a word...Just my freaky nature. And you know what? I am a solid person as an adult As a teen, no funny stuff with children or was mired in wild goofy things in my personal life. My two MBA's speak for my effort in being a focused man.

This same thing happened at my grandchildren's school in the Mansfield, Texas, school district. The twins changed schools at mid term and came home complaining about the two teachers that were in their classroom having the students give them massages and run their fingers through their hair. I was shocked. When I asked them what they thought about this they said it was creepy, but said the other students had been asked to do it since the beginning of the school year. Since the teachers had one student stand at the door to tell if anyone was coming down the hall, my grandchildren felt besides the attention the teachers requested being creepy, it must also be wrong. Their father reported it to the principal. The attitude was that there was no big deal, but the unacceptable behavior did stop. As far as we know there was no further action.
She should have been teaching sex ed.

Also once Obama allows all the "hard working they only want to work hard dreamers" equal rites to all of us which means they take your money and mine and give it to them so they are equal it will be worse-- as they live by a whole different set of rules than we do and they have already shown that there is no way they want to be like us.
