Robber in apparent Mitt Romney mask targets bank

STERLING, Va. -- Someone wearing what appears to be a Mitt Romney mask robbed a northern Virginia bank Thursday, but that's not the only reason the FBI is calling the holdup unusual.

The robbery at a Wells Fargo in Sterling was not a grab-and-go robbery. The suspect, who was wearing the mask and a Florida State sweatshirt and holding what appeared to be a gun, went from teller to teller until he took money from all five who were working.

More news from NBCWashington.com

It wasn't the first time the bank was robbed by a person disguised as a politician. In December 2010, someone in a Hillary Clinton mask robbed the location.

Police went to the Party City store behind the bank on Thursday to see if anyone had  bought a similar mask there.

What makes you think it was a mask? Perhaps Mitt was just getting Christmas gifts for his friends.

Remember the GOP motto....

If you steal a car, you go to jail.

If you steal someone's life savings, we'll make you a CEO and allow you to run for President.

Romney was definitely the wrong choice for America.. but what this person did with a mask is no better.

I agree Linda and talk about robbery-our national debt is at 16 trillion. Ten of which was put there by Obama-not Bush as he would like everyone to believe.

Rommey's corporate friends, Viewpoint, lol. And for those who still think that Obama is responsible for 10 of the 16 trillion debt, go back, way back. If Bush jr. would have left our 4-5 trillion dollars surplus alone and not start a war across the Atlantic Ocean, and continue adding jobs, we wouldn't be in this situation.

    #1.11 - Fri Dec 14, 2012 12:56 PM EST

Seems appropriate. His ilk wiped out my 403b and now that I turned 65, I have nothing but an empty bag. I wonder if Mitt would share his ill gotten gains with me. I have mold in my basement and I would love to build a new house. My husband and I were to meet a builder on the Monday before he died. We were going to build our dream house. That was in 1994 and he was 44. I know there are so many others, who have no food or home. I give to all kinds of charities because I realize how lucky I am, to have a house. Mold and all! Just once, I would like to have something I desire. I am hoping to win the "Do US A Flavor" contest by Frito Lay. Maybe then I can build that dream house. I won't for get the people in need and I will be able to provide jobs for those in the construction trades. That's what my husband did for a living. He was a Local 8 electrician.

If the bank robber "Mitt" would call me, I would like to compliment him, on his choice, of attire. If Mitt the all too rich and lazy, SOB would call me and give me a million dollars, I would be happy, to relieve him of his burden. Somehow, I think I will hear from the bank robber first.

I don't believe in stealing but the Mitts in this world have been doing just that all their lives.

Mitt is most likely licking his wounds and wondering how he could have possibly been defeated by President Obama. Mitt will never get it. He thinks his wealth is, the key to respect, adoration and class. Mitt will never understand that giving is better than receiving. Mostly, the greedy little king, with no clothes, does not realize, he can never take it with him. I do not have much in the line of possessions. I owe more on my house than what it's worth, thanks to the bankers greed. I haven't a dime in savings or an IRA because, I lost every penny because I listened to the "experts", who managed my 403b. I had cancer and the co pays wiped out my monthly income. And yet, I know I have more than Mitt will ever have. I have a loving family. I worked and earned my way through life, from the time I was nine, until I was able to retire at 65. I put myself through college, while maintaining a marriage and raising two children. I have three grand children and wonderful family and friends. I can honestly say, they do not love me for the things I give them. But I know when I die, I will be remembered, missed and loved. Mitt may have a lot of "friends" but I think they would abandon him, like rats from a shinking ship, if he ever lost his wealth. Some one needs to Mitt, "You can't take it with you!"

As for "Mitt the Bank Robber" he has one thing going for him, he stole in plain sight!

Oh it wasn't a Obama mask? That make sense as it wasn't taxpayer money to give to your useless base of noncontributing "people" whose career is nothing (and will be nothing but useless) is welfare checks and food stamps. I hope the cult of brainwashed fake-white-guilt liberals finally realize all the money you happily donate to poor people is in no way, shape, or form appreciated. What is wrong with politicians (I mean it is Chicago so why would Obama call out the pathetic levels of @!$%#-drive-by shootings) giving out handouts like the political party bosses did in the early 20th century.

Upon further inspection police discovered it wasn't a mask. When questioned as to why he was robbing a bank Mr. Romney became agitated and started throwing feces at officers. The police finally came to the conclusion that Mitt Romney is, and has always been, a big ape with the IQ of a 2 year old.

Unfortunately the Media labled Mitt a job robber and it stuck. Stuck in the mindless heads of the ignorant and lazy. Mitt did more to save jobs in this country than the current imposter in charge. Oblamer has done NOTHING of value while in office, he is burying us in massive debt, throwing jobs out of the country faster than you can say Bengazi. Raising tax's to feed a spending problem that is now completly out of control. But you spew what you will, you are going to pay the same price as the rest of us who wanted fiscal sanity brought back to the White House. Was Mitt the best candidate for POS, perhaps not, but the lies that the Dems put out about him were disasterous for Mitt. Every Venture Capitolist knows that you cannot save EVERY company EVERY time, it would be insane to think you can, but yet, that is what you were told, so now it must be true. Hate to call names on sites like this but Al Kyda, your a complete MORON!

Tom in NH... Stop going to the George Sors's sites to get your news. Obama Begged Bush to release the TARP funds while he was Lame duck, Bush didn't want anything to do with it. Obama knew what he was doing, he wanted Bush to do it so he could say "Look at what I've inherited". Fact?? The $1.3 T dificit was created by the Bailout, Had it not been for that, there would have been only a $400 B dollar deficit...Now THAT is a FACT. The debt crisis was triggered by Bill Clinton relaxing the regulations on Home loans and let the Greedy Bankers Rob the treasuries of the American people. Bush was warning against this for over 2 years but was over-ridden by a Democrat controlled Senate. But here is a Fact that you can probably agree on. BOTH parties are to blame for our current situation and BOTH parties are taking the American people to the toilet... We are screwed either way, I say, let the "Fiscal Cliff" happen, the sooner we go the Way of Greece, the sooner we can take our country back!
