I hope President George H.W. Bush gets much better soon, so he can be with his family. For those who have not experienced bronchitis, regardless of your age, it is not pleasant. I had severe bronchitis many years ago, and was flat on my back in bed for about two weeks. The constant coughing threw out my back and made my sides, chest and stomach hurt each time I coughed. It was an ordeal to get out of bed to visit the bathroom.

Illness w/an ex President does not include Politics.

Bush is a human being who is struggling to stay alive---we all should respect that aspect. He, and Bill Clinton were, or are very good friends, who crossed the Party Lines, and did not use Politics to ensure the unique top World Leader position friendship. Being President of the United States is a elite group of Leaders. All Presidents have a commonality.

My feeling is that ex President Bush is very, very ill. Elevated fever could mean Septicemia--a common ailment for the elderly---bronchitis/pneumonia being the secondary problem.

My warmest wishes for healing, Pres. Bush. And to the family, hang in there and hold each other close. Not long ago, my 88 year old father was in the hospital for a few days, was released and all seemed to be well. Less than a week later he passed and we're having his services on Saturday. Life is fragile, particularly at that age.

Regardless of politics, this man is a husband, a father, a friend, a grandfather and there are people who love him dearly. Show some humanity, empathy, and respect. It is fully possible to disagree with someone's politics and still care for their suffering, and the pain of those who love them. If you are unable to separate these issues out over the big picture because you are so overwrought with hatred, seek help, you need some healing yourself.

I believe President Bush 41 was an honorable and decent man forever tarnished by a privileged lifestyle provided by previous generations of powerful and greedy family men (that proved not to be so honorable or decent). His flawed ideology was a product of his upbringing. A trait found common in many failed world leaders both past and present.

A successful leader of men may use his past to inspire him, but utilizes an uncommon sense of wisdom and vision to serve an entire nation of people from all walks of life. Such men in American history were Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt (among many others). We are all free to rebuke history with our own personal opinions. We are not free to make up our own "facts" in attempts to re-write history.

I pray for the swift recovery of our 41st President because I believe he was a good man despite his failed ideologies that I could not support as our President. He has many good works to offer yet as a proud American and former statesmen.

The attacks that describe you as uncaring for the elderly or hating the rich for your own lack of riches seem unjustified and unlikely to be true.

I urge you to have sympathy for the fools that judge the worth of a fellow man by the amount of gold in his pocket. They do a great injustice to the greatest humanitarians to ever grace this Earth such as Mother Teresa, Gandhi and many others. They do an even greater injustice to millions of victims of wealthy and ruthless dictators in world history such as Hitler and Saddam Hussein.

There is a reason that the biggest selling book ever describes a rich man's chances of entering Heaven as those of a camel entering the eye of a needle. This 2000 year old theory of the rich must have a strong element of truth regardless of our faith or lack of faith in the book itself.

That is not to say that all rich men are evil and attained their wealth without hard work, sacrifice and intelligence. It does suggest that many of them attained great wealth by forcefully or stealthily accumulating such riches by robbing those that earned it by the sweat of their brows. That evidence even today, particularly today, is overwhelmingly exposed for all to see that have minimum sight and brains enough to process simple information.

On another note, this article should have taught us all one thing - teaming up makes the project very successful, whatever it is. They want to tell you how to live your life, and they want to wand your womb before letting you make a hard decision.

That they hide amongst civilians is terrible and deplorable, but that doesn't mean we must stop pursuing them. Hell, my sister is so sick she can't even stand up and/or walk without falling down, and has been suffering this ailment for 2 years,yet they've never considered hospitalizing her to find out just what the heck is going on. Are you a medical proffesional? The last time I was in the hospital for over a week with insurance...2 of my roommates had no insurance, yet they were there for over 3 days each.

I have medicare and supplemental health insurance both of which I pay for. I was also admitted to the Methodist hospital system referenced here and they did an excellent job of keeping me alive.

Actually, that is NOT a fact, Rick. My friend just spent 3 weeks in the hospital on Medicare and supplemental insurance with bronchitis. She just simply did not improve and could not be sent to another facility due to her condition. Before you say something is a fact, check your facts. Yes, this will probably be true in 2013 and beyond when the non-medical team decides your fate due to Obama Care. You know, the team that is not in your area, that are political appointees, and that will never see you, just decide your fate.

If there is one thing that obamacare did is it got people talking about healthcare. As bad as I think it is nobody is talking about alternatives. The same old stuff doesn't work. So here is what we all get when we dont demand better. Denial for preexisting conditions is unacceptable. Hospitals charging an outrageous price for care and why? Because people cant pay their bills so we have to pick up the price for them. Basic healthcare should be a given. Nobody should have to go bankrupt after a hospital stay. Nobody should have to make choices about their little boy or girls health and rent. I am not talking about major medical I am talking about going to a Dr's office for $20 and not going to the ER for $600. In my town you cant see a DR for under $100 and if that leads to antibiotics then good but if it leads to more test then choices have to be made. Choices that should not have to be made for the richest country in the world. I am not a fan of obamacare but I have a feeling at the end of the day we will end up with something better because obamacare existed.......for a very short time lets hope

U guys are right about Bush Sr.

1. He was VP to Reagan but he knew nothing about the Iran-Contra scandal. Him or Reagan had no clue what was going on

2. He used executive powers to pardon to 6 government officials when they were being investigated for their involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal. Again tho, Bush Sr. had NO CLUE about the scandal & gave these 6 employees a pardon out of the goodness of his heart.

3. Bush started an oil company w/Osama Bin Laden's brother. After 9/11, the CIA flew members of Osama Bin Laden out of the US on a private jet w/out even interrogating them. Again though, it wasnt Bush's fault that Osama Bin Laden's own family would be able to be flown out of the US w/out being questioned. That was just an honest mistake & their ties to the Bush family was not the reason why they were flown out of the U.S

4. Bush is at no fault for being VP to Reagan during the 1980's when Reagan decided to help Saddam Hussien in the Iraq-Iran war. Reagan decided to provide weapons to Saddam becuz he disliked Iran. Throughout this whole time, Saddam is a horrible dictator killing his own ppl but again, Reagan didnt know of this neither did Bush Sr. They just wanted to give him weapons to beat Iran in this war. After helping Saddam in the Iraq-Iran war, the US declares him an enemy during the Gulf War. But again, Bush had no clue Reagan was giving arms to help Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war & Kuwait's oil supply plays no factor in wanting to fight off Saddam during the Gulf War.

Look up all these facts, which were documented & prove they're just conspiracies.
