It’s chilly on the Capitol steps today, but that’s no problem for Mitt Romney.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on election night in Boston. He is spending inauguration day in La Jolla, Calif., according to an aide.
The former Republican presidential contender is spending Inauguration Day at his home in La Jolla, Calif., where it’s sunny with a forecasted high of 73 degrees.
An aide told NBC News that the former Massachusetts governor and his wife have "no big plans."
Asked if the governor was likely to watch the inaugural ceremonies today, the aide said, "Doubtful."
It’s not surprising that Romney is keeping himself far from the fanfare and tri-color bunting; he’s kept a low profile since losing the election in November.
Romney’s son Tagg told The Boston Globe in December that his father was never really all that into winning the nation’s highest office anyway.
“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life,” Tagg told the newspaper. “He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesn’t love the attention.”

Tagg, after your stupid A$$ comment, I wonder how many people you have really met and known? And yes, your daddy did want to win the oval office. But many voters saw what your daddy stood for, and realized that he would send this country into a spiral that we would never recover from.
And thank goodness for that. And just think of all that corporate money, his own money, all of the voter caging that was done, and the hacking of voting machines, and you still couldn't STEAL AN ELECTION. That is the most hilarious part of the whole election results. You not only LOST, you also are to blame for Obama winning his second term when you promised us he would only be a one termer.
So yes, using the term LOSER does apply, not only to Mitt, but also to the pukebag party.
It was the glorious combination of tea baggers, obvious corporate trickery and the stupidest candidate ever that spelled doom for them.
May they stay in the sewer of their own making forever.
LOLL tagg sounds like a sore looser like his daddy. After mitten lost, tagg says, daddy really did not want to be president. Really??? What a humble way out... Then why not do the sensible thing and not waste those millions on the campaign and give it back to us hard working Americans???I will answer my own question, off course not, money is no matter to mitt, he has plenty stashed around the world, that was just pocket money he wasted...
This is the sort of attitude we all knew Mitt would take, whether he won the presidency or not. He really was only in it for the power and money, so we shouldn't even care what he's doing now. He is a typical spoiled brat who expects to get everything his way, but then when he doesn't, he runs off to pout somewhere and count his money.
Hey Tag, still want to take a swing at the President ? Lying chicken sh#t just like your deluded Daddy. You didn't want those grapes anyway, they were probably sour ! Maybe the Angel Moroni will give you a vision where the ancient hubcaps are buried from the clown mobile the lost tribe drove over in.
“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life,” Tagg told the newspaper. “He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesn’t love the attention.”
His deep faith in God only applies to his deep desire to be with MONEY. Romney is the most insincere and hypocritical politicians since Reagan. Bush did not have the mental capacity to be a hypocrite.
What a pity that we skipped the opportunity to elect a very capable and honest man for the most important job. The affirmative-action voters once again gave us a guy that will continue to plunge this nation further into a true banana republic with a ruined currency and, eventually, a starving populartion, all on welfare.
Robert, He was "capable" of lying out of both sides of his mouth at once. He was "honest" about nothing. Things just aren't the same on the good old plantation anymore are they ? I guess generations of people being exploited just doesn't register as unfair and needing action in your squirmy little brain. This all runs contrary to your doomsday vision of the future. Go curl up in your bomb shelter with Rush and Glen. You know what to do with the BANANA.
@Robert you and so many like you keep talking about "welfare" voters. President Obama won the popular vote, so are you saying that more than half of the country is on welfare? I'd like to see that stats on that. Cite a source, please.
I fail to see how anyone in this country could vote for a man that walks like that. It was embarrassing and not one of his family members or campaign people told him to walk like a man and stop talking like his wife. Come to think of it though, it was obvious she wore the pants in that family of 'boys'....
It is just amazing the sore "winner" mentality going on here. If running for any office would have saved us from the deep corruption going on in Washington, I would have run too! No one with half a brain really wants that thankless job except the anti-American, anti-colonial we now have. And, for the record, Romney DIDN"T LOSE! This election was stolen by lost military votes, fraud voters bused in to key areas with fraud electric bills as only ID, Ballot machines rigged, and places with thousands more votes than the population of the whole town! Hey, your King has maintained his throne for now. don't rock the boat because sooner or later, even you mindless liberals will wake up and we will dethrone this, the worst and most hated "President" in history. The GOP only needs to grow a pair and Obama is done like an over cooked turkey.
Thank you Mitt for trying, if only halfheartedly, to make a difference and stop the power grab of a man hell bent on American destruction. Those who criticize here can't even say they have made any attempt in their lifetimes to stand for America. It is easy to throw stone from the sidelines. It is really another to get into the game and risk something.... cowards and idiots!
Russell, man up and admit the sorry, lying, voter-manipulating bastards you "hoped" would win are just a bunch of sore losers-- just like you are!
Those neo-nut bastards have lost 5 of the last 6 election cycles. They will continue to lose until they're near extinction, inert, and impotent-- just... like... Y-O-U!!!
Whine on.... loser!
May the vast tea party, corporate thieves and most stupid candidate conspiracy sink into oblivion.
Fascist corporate theocracies don't belong in this world.
Romney in Boca Raton: “Mali has been taken over, the northern part of Mali, by al-Qaida-type individuals.”
The last two weeks should go down as a period of vindication for former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and earn him the nickname, “soothsayer of the Western World” — a modern-age Nostradamus.
On Jan. 14, Chrysler’s CEO acknowledged that Jeeps would be built in China, confirming a statement that unfairly earned Romney the moniker “liar of the year.”
Score one.
Then, when forces linked to al-Qaida captured the government-held town of Konna, Mali, on Jan. 10, they drove home a statement Romney made during the second presidential debate in Boca Raton, nearly three months earlier.
“With the Arab Spring came a great deal of hope that there would be a change towards more moderation and opportunity for greater participation on the part of women and — and public life and in economic life in the Middle East,” he said then. “But instead we’ve seen in nation after nation a number of disturbing events.”
Describing violence in Syria and Libya, he added this kicker: “Mali has been taken over, the northern part of Mali, by al-Qaida-type individuals.”
This prompted, according to TheCommentator.com, a Bill Maher tweet: “Mitt, you do know that most of America thinks Mali is one of Obama’s daughters, right?” What far-left loon Maher doesn’t seem to understand is that it doesn’t matter if he knows what Mali is, so long as our president does.
Score two.
This week saw another Romney prediction come to pass — that a re-elected Obama would infringe on our Second Amendment rights.
“In a second term, he would be unrestrained by the demands of re-election,” Romney said at an April 2012 National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “As he told the Russian president last month when he thought no one else was listening, after a re-election he’ll have a lot more, quote, ‘flexibility’ to do what he wants. I’m not exactly sure what he meant by that, but looking at his first three years, I have a very good idea.”
Referring to the right to bear arms, Romney told convention-goers, “If we are going to safeguard our Second Amendment, it is time to elect a president who will defend the rights President Obama ignores or minimizes. I will.”
The president’s signature on 23 executive on gun control this week, as well as his acknowledged support for a ban on certain weapons and magazines, show how right Romney was.
Score three.
Finally, Romney was ridiculed for using “binders of women” to describe what a Romney Cabinet would look like. Instead of mocking the poorly worded phrase, we should have listened to the words themselves.
The president’s announcement of his second-term Cabinet prompted ABC’s George Stephanopoulos to ask on Jan. 10, “Where are the women?” Apparently, they’re all still in Romney’s binders.
Score four.
In retrospect, this should come as no surprise to anyone. Romney is, after all, a businessman — a very successful businessman. What separates success from failure in the business world is an ability to assess a situation and to predict what will happen next.
This is called reality. Obama’s hallmark is “hope.” See the difference?
Well said.
Next year we'll see him looking like Howard Hughs. Kleenex box shoes, 4 inch fingernails, matted hair, mumbling about how "they" cheated. lol
NBC is so stupid. How is this news? Why not cover Benhgazi? You know...something that actually MATTERS!
Morons!
funny thing, obamas tax is hurting everyone, just some less than others, like obama, congress, senate, the house, and the obamacare, the same group mentioned above is exempt from it, and oh, Romney at least use his own money for his vacations, and obama didn't pay $140,000,000 dollars of the tax payers money to celebrate being crowned his horses ass, oops his highness, and is counting on them 23 new taxes in obamacare to further his agenda, no wonder everyone is so bitter towards Romney, jealous socialist democrats.
First of all his son meant that in a humble manner. The best man for the job lost. He lost because the have not's were afraid that Romney was going to cut off their free ride and make those who were living off the system as a means to survive accountable. I for one are one of those who are supporting those who survive off the system and quite frankly Im sick of the irresponsible spending that goes on in Washington. Obama padded his friends pockets with 90 million dollars and funded energy companies that went belly up while my paycheck just went down due to the recent 2% payroll tax increase. Sorry but the best man lost!
Ok i am so amazed be the idiots who want to complain about other peoples money.Seriously grow up it doesnt matter what they want to do with it.WHY because they earned it.And getting on here or anywhere listening to people complain about jobs leaving and where others spend thier money you really need to blame our current goverment.HMMM why is this because it isnt fair that you work for it to have it taken away by MORE taxes to give to someone that doent work. Also last time I checked we live in a country where everyone has the same opportunity.Oh sorry thats if you want it bad enough.Which means if u arent happy with what u have or the job u have CHANGE Stop blaming and complaining. And anyone that thinks all this spending Mr.Obama is doing is sooooo great really needs to be looking at what is happening in Greece.Because that is the future of our country.Because myself and at least half of the US is tired of giving what we work for to people to sorry to take care of thier self.
lord help us all
I feel sorry for Mitt, railroaded by the CIA and he don't even know it, or maybe he does. Either case, it don't matter. Mitt was black balled by the CIA for the things his father said against the military industrial complex during Vietnam war. And.... and the CIA wasn't going to allow the Mormon church to run this country. Mitt may be a liar and many other things, but he's not a killer like the rest of em. Mormon's have morals to a fault and that is a huge threat to an agency that operates as a government within the government. They have no constitution to uphold, if they do have one, its one of death and manipulation. Chaos and suffering is there constitution. CIA runs USA elections. Period. They have for decades. Remember Jimmy Carter, they purposely ruined his presidency and turn into a giant snafu. Jimmy was a simple honest peanut farmer, a man with morals, an outsider. CIA then told the Iranians to hold the hostages longer so Regan could get elected..er... projected into office.
Wake up people, you vote don't count, big money and war is what counts in this country. Shameful. You all need to look and discuss the big picture not get sidetracked with the dribble they pump out on the brainwashing idiot boxes your all glued too.
Respectfully,
Harrybug
