Anthony owes about $792,000 -- most of it to her defense attorney, according to a Chapter 7 petition filed Friday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, The Associated Press reported.
She also faces three civil lawsuits stemming from the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee Marie, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The 2-year-old girl was reported missing in July 2008 and her body was found that December near the home of Casey Anthony's parents in the Orlando area.
Anthony was found not guilty of murder in July 2011 but was convicted of lying about the child's disappearance. She was sentenced to time served, and on Friday an appeals court struck down two of the lying convictions.
Anthony claimed that a babysitter had kidnapped Caylee, and a woman with the same name is suing for defamation, as is the former meter reader who found the body -- he says Anthony's attorneys damaged him by painting him as a possible killer.
The third suit is by Texas EquuSearch, a search and rescue organization, which says it spent more than $100,000 searching for Caylee.
Anthony's bankruptcy filing said she had only $1,084; here are her main debts, according to the Sentinel report:
- About $500,000 to defense attorney Jose Baez
- $145,660.21: Orange County Sheriff's Office
- $68,540: Internal Revenue Service
- $61,505: Florida Department of Law Enforcement
- $10,283.90: to the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation

Not sure about the MBI and Sheriff, but bankruptcy will not protect her from the IRS! Also, if she files for bankruptcy now before the pending lawsuits are final, then she will not be able to file again for 7 years!

The joke is on you. Jose knew he would not get paid. He knew there would be millions of dollars in free publicity and a great criminal defense career if he got her off. Jose will make millions from this. You will work your minimum wage job for life.
I just don't understand how a woman who "KNOWS", but won't tell, what happened to her poor little child can #1-lie about it and have her parents lie about it and get away with it and #2-now expect to have all financial consequences for her actions admonished by a Bankruptcy Court. Is there no accountablitily on her part-either morally or financially? How much more will this woman get away with? Wake up Florida! Set a good precedent this time.

Im so glad that people see through her, she killed her innocent baby girl, cause she wanted to have the "free" life, and her bf at the time was havin trouble datin her cause she had a child, and her parents were houndin her cause all she wanted to do was dump her child on them and party. She killed her and if she dont burn on this earth, she will someday. I hope seriouisly she lives in total guilt and sorrow all the rest of the days of her life, she deserves ZERO happiness. She went into hiding, went bankrupt, and is the most hated person in America. If she were in prison, the bankruptcy and hiding wouldn't have taken place. To me, she is suffering more in the outside world than she would if she had life in prison (a good thing, too). I knew she wasn't off the hook yet! Justice prevails in the end!!

What total BS. The bulk of her debt is to Baez, a total unknown until he took her case. He has received, and is still receiving, millions of dolars in free publicity. The only takeaway from this who sordid tragedy is that you can get away with murder if you can dispose of the body, or hide it long enough for all evidence to be compromised or totally destroyed.

The attorney that defended her, Mr Jose Baez, is just as much of a scum bag hoe as she is. Both of them should be removed from society. In the end it will catch up to them. Liars always get what they deserve.
