Yes, guns do kill things, including humans, that’s what they were designed to do. Yes, you can use them for hunting, sport or as a hobby collecting them. In responsible hands firearms are very safe. In the wrong hands, we see the carnage.

It is a national problem and I can't believe that Law Enforcement Agencies can not address this growing problem. What really humors me is that they wear distinguishing "colors" and have the tatts to make identification easy. If he is confined in prison for a few years, he has his friends out on the street make the hit. The law should read that anyone that used a gun on someone to kill them, should be lawfully shot on site. It's too bad that hand guns were not banned decades ago after Chicago had a problem with Italian and Irish gangsters. America did not learn from that episode and now all the gangsters are black. I'm sure all the leads the police are getting are little more than 'It was a black dude'. A lot of good that will do since they all look alike. I hope they learn to ban hand guns this time.

Quit blaming "Unions" and start complaining about the biggest "Mob" there is: our Federal Government, which thinks a good use of billions and billions of taxpayer dollars is in some useless war ten thousand miles away, and not to help rid cities like Chicago of gangs and thugs.

Maybe when those same gangs start "accidentally" shooting the daughters of the Mayor or other government officials, we might see some action. But I doubt it, since our taxpayer dollars also pay for the protection of these priveleged nincompoops (who could care less about some 15 year old getting gunned down in a park. "Oh, dear another sad death, tsk tsk, pass the caviar, Jeeves.")

As long as we exterminate the hand guns that they are found with, I'm all for it. We need a secret police force to round up street gang members and haul them off to special facilities where they can be contained and disposed of.

You lecture to the enitire community as if every black that lives in Chicago is to blame, when in reality the criminal element in the city is a small minority. If it wasn't for the NCAAP, blacks would still be sitting in the back of the bus. They have done far more to defend the rights of minorites than any other organization in the history of our country. There is not one person in this country that does not have the chance to go to college, go in the military, or start a business or anything else that they want to do, the thing is they have to want it and work for it, quit thinking that somebody owes you, no one owes you but you! I grew up in a family of 9 kids with an alcoholic mom and dad, we lived in the dumps on the wrong side of town, I wore hand me downs my entire life and when I decided I did not want to live that way I went in the military at 17 and spent 10 years in it, then I got a job that sucked but it payed the bills and I worked hard to get promotions and went to College and received my BSBA and then moved up some more, it was hard and it was a lot of work but I wanted it so I did it, Now I own my own home, I own a couple acres of land, I have no bills but those that cannot be paid off like insurance and utilities and my wife and I have a great life.... It can be done by any one if you really want it and are willing to work hard for it and you get up and do it on your own!!!!

Aerol: Lets start seeing all of those people that were saved by firearms since the Conn. Shooting I gaurantee you there have been just as many if not more than the supposed firearm related deaths, the propaganda news agencies just refuse to show them. Why do you think the shooting that happened at the school in Atlanta dissappeared so quickly and is gone, and cannot be found. It is came out that an armed security officer stopped the shooting and saved some ones life and prevented any more shooting and no one died so it does not fit the anti gun agenda.

The most violent segment of the population is males between the ages of 14 and 24. Most deaths are related to gangs, drugs, association with prior felons, or suicide. If you remove those factors the death rate for that age group drops significantly.
