I am surprised that they didn't have an ordnance already for indecent exposure. Most of the rest of the country has one in one form or another. It is generally accepted that if you want to get naked in a private community then that is your business, but walking around naked in public is simply not acceptable anywhere. Why San Francisco is only now coming to that conclusion is beyond me.

It's ok to use nudity and such to sell a product, it's called "advertising" and "artistic expression" -- but it's not ok for anyone to actually BE nude in public.

San Francisco is not corroding. It is, in fact, much better shape than it was when I moved to it 25 years ago. Entire sections of the town have been renovated, entire ugly freeways have been demolished and replaced. Entire neighborhoods have sprung up. The homeless used to take over all of civic center and/or golden gate park. That has all changed. The city is a bit cleaner too. You don't know what you're talking about.

Well when I visited last summer that wasn't the case. It seemed like every corner there were people pan handling. It was just ridiculous.

I've been to SF quite a few times and never once have I experienced someone walking around naked. I've actually seen more nudity on the streets here in NYC than I have in SF.

Sorry, but I don't need my nine year old daughter exposed to an adult male's junk. Looking away is not the answer. That's like saying, if you don't want to be exposed to second hand smoke, don't breath. It does adversely affect others, which is why it cannot fall under the first ammendment.

There is a big difference between nudity and sex/porn. I would never let my eight year old look at porn or where the sexual organs are aroused. However I never had a problem with my child looking at tastefull artistic nudity such as on oil painings. If my child would see a nudist she would most likely laugh as would I. Male junk is harmeless as long as its not in a sexual context. The naked human body is nothing more then a naked human body to a child unless the parents make a big deal out of it.
