Former Los Angeles Police Department officer Christopher Dorner -- the suspect in three killings that have targeted law enforcement and the subject of a continuing manhunt -- was suspected last week of fleeing to Mexico, according to a federal court document.
The criminal complaint filed in federal court on Feb. 7 charges Dorner with fleeing to avoid prosecution. It states that there was reason to believe he had crossed the border into Mexico.
An affidavit included in the complaint (pdf) was written by U.S. Marshals Service Inspector Craig McClusky the same day that the search for Dorner led to his burned out truck in the mountain resort of Big Bear.
On day five of the manhunt for Christopher Dorner, who is suspected of killing three people, the Riverside District Attorney filed charges against Dorner including one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder. The LAPD has assigned officers to protect 50 families the accused cop killer has threatened, and a $1 million reward is now being offered for information leading to Dorner's arrest. NBC's Miguel Almager reports.
McClusky recounted the Irvine Police Department's request for assistance from the U.S. Marshal Service in finding Dorner after he became a suspect in the Feb. 3 killing of Keith Lawrence and Monica Quan, who is the daughter of an LAPD official mentioned by Dorner is a manifesto that details his alleged revenge plot.

McClusky described "the recent observations of a suspect matching Dorner's description attempting to flee to Mexico," and stated "there is probable cause to believe that Dorner has moved and traveled in interstate and foreign commerce from California to Mexico" to avoid prosecution.
The document also states that U.S. Marshals were tracking a Dorner associate identified only as "J.Y.," who had been spotted in Costa Mesa, Calif., near Irvine.
The search for Dorner continued in Big Bear on Monday, even as police followed multiple reports of sightings of the former officer that turned out to be false.

Also on Monday, the Riverside County District Attorney's office filed a charge of murder against Dorner in the shooting death of Officer Michael Crain, who was killed in what authorities have described as an ambush.
Crain was shot Thursday while he and his 27-year-old trainee partner were sitting at a traffic light near the Riverside Freeway.
"We felt the state of the evidence dictated there was no reason to withhold filing charges," Riverside County District Attorney Paul Zellerbach said. "He's a felon at large."
The LAPD on Sunday announced a $1 million reward in the case. More than 600 tips have been received, according to the department.

One million dollar reward...good news like that travels quickly. Can't imagine him being safe south of the border. If this is really where he is, there will be some enterprising people looking to cash in on this situation.
600 people so far looking to get rich. What amount is that after taxes? More like $400,000 take home. And is that a lump sum?
There are all sorts of bounty hunters looking for him now. I give him less than a month before he is found.
Isn't bounty hunting illegal in Mexico? Wasn't that why "Dog the Bounty Hunter" got arrested there?
For a million dollar bounty the drug cartels will turn him in.
"thought to have fled to Mexico" Their way of saying, we have no clue where he is.
He kind of looks like a Mexican so he will blend right in with the locals.
I wonder if LL Cool J took a vacation so he doesn't get mistakened for this guy. This guy is a chubby version of him.
@Dick-2100935
A million to the Cartel's is pocket change. They could earn that in a week hiring this guy.
We'll hear about him offing himself or going down in some Northridge Bank Robbery style shoot out.
Or being pulled out of a hole Saddam style.
I agree with Morpheus, this guy would be a hero for killing cops in Mexico. And bounty hunters are illegal in Mexico.
This man had all of this planned in advance. The cops said his truck got stuck in the mud, which is why he abandon it, BS! They said he hid out in Big Bear, BS! And the cops that fired on the others were in fear for their life, BS!
It looks like "The Gauntlet" all over, except it's not a Hollywood movie! Seems like the LAPD doesn't want this man alive. Wonder why?
I also find it a bit odd that when the LAPD is under threat, they offer a huge reward and act like their back at the OK Corral. But they certainly don't take this vigor on their day to day operations. Pathetic that they believe they are worth more then the civilians they protect.
Wondering if that looser , Dog the Bounty Hunter is after him too :-)
Go Dorner , teach them a lesson !
Anyone that goes looking for this guy, will earn his money, it will be no fun at all, few people have his training, addded to that, he will cheerfully kill you without a qualm, it saves some cop's lives when they couldn't find him.
I am a former Recon Marine, I would not voluntarily, go looking for him.
And what lesson is that Jaga? That it's ok to kill people because he felt he was wronged? Are you kidding me? The guy is a murderer and a coward. I don't care what his issue is/was with the LAPD. It is NO justification for murder.
The way I see it is, They can't take this guy alive, he knows to much. The Truth could bring the LAPD down once and for all. This guy is not done killing police yet. I am betting he is just laying back, letting them relax and let there guard down and he will hit them again. He is not afraid to die to clear his name. He planed this for 5 years or so. We have not heard the last of him.
I'm pretty sure he is devastated to learn of this charge; the first thing on his mind when he wakes every morning is how to get this charge dismissed.... lol
I was in the Navy stationed in Coronado, CA. We went to Mexico every weekend. Met friends. Met girls. I have friends who retired form service and moved there. I would imagine his experience was similar. If he has a military friend and or/girlfriend who lives across the border who is helping him, there is no reason he couldn't be safe. Remember, he had this planned. He knows where he's going.
They won't ever spend that kind of money for you or your family unless you important like the chief of police or something
A lot of things are 'illegal' in Mexico but they are still happening there every day.
My guess is Mexico was a jump point for a DD to Africa or points west like some island nation in the Pacific.. Some South American countries might be an alternate location as many are unfriendly to US laws..
If there are a bunch of bad cops on the take that are worried that he might rat them out he could already be dead and shoved in a hole in the desert already..
This guy will be kill at the scene no matter what he knows to much!
I find this fact to be hysterical.
They filed "SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCE" charges against Dorner because he fired a weapon from inside his car.
The Pasadena cops that shot down Kendrec McDade from their moving vehicle said that it was good police work.
chefaz,
Top of the morning. You and Basil keep getting kicked off!
On your comment; Hell, I'm thinking of going hunting for that kind of money....only if it is tax free though..lol.
Yourekidding-1544479
Well, then tell me ...is it ok for LAPD to open fire on civilians ? Are you one of them ?
As for LAPD , watch your back !!! This guy is not a nut with a gun and justice will be done even if that means loosing his life.LAPD will have to look in the mirror and see who is actually the criminal .
Go Dorner !!!!
I'm still leaning on a suicide without further evidence. Smart guy that he is/was, he certainly could have had another vehicle waiting for him where the other one was torched. If they think he is in Mexico, it would be because of intercepted communications.
I said that the day they were all on the mountain, running into each other. The fire was started with a cell phone hooked up to a gas can with little gas just enough to get everyone's attention, to draw as much resources up to Big Bear as he could. He could have robbed a bank that day if he wanted to, and then they stayed for a few more days. I think Dorner went into Mexico through AZ, using a trial the Illegals use to get out of Mexico. He will be Okay there only if he stays away from the drug cartels if they find him, they will come and collect the million, all we get is a dead man. I think he is headed to South America to hot in Mexico, unless he has connections with a cartel in Mexico that may not last long if they get wind he has a million on his head.
So how does one go from "an officer and a gentleman" to "crazed psyco killer"??
I guess only the LAPD knows.
As the update implies, he probably has committed suicide. He's had several years to go through the stages of accepting his own death. Surrender was not part of the plan. The false "We think he is in Mexico" might have given him the confidence to come out of his hole, or he just may have decided to ramp up the action again before he self-destructed by getting noticed? Possible that he didn't pull the trigger and died from the fire, but not likely based on the reports of a single shot.
News flash..
He is now deceased!
The news says he was cornered in a cabin up in the area his truck was found, after Dorner stole someones car and after a short chase he was cornered in a cabin and somehow the cabin was burned down and they say he was inside. Guess will have to wait a touch more to be sure hes now gone but hes not in Mexico by this story.
Americans For The Removal Of Illegals banned, rereg of Obama Biden & Hillary Are Scum.
Who will win the "Dorner Lottery"?
Right. I would hate to look anything like that guy.
Hopefully, nobody does, and I hope he cleans the rest of that crap police department too. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of ruthless, corrupt a$$holes.
They need more ppl Like Dorner who will blow thw wistle when the cops is doing foul @!$%# to ppl out here.. It goes to show they will turn on they own when some real cops like Chris Dorner let the truth out about what they do and how they do. But you know what? the big point is... what happen to the news coverage about guns laws. They trying to tuffin up the law for criminals to get guns, buts once again its a non criminal, law abiding citizens that like to pick alot of ppl to kill on any giving sunday..lol...I grew up around gangs all my life and yeah it be a bunch of senseless killings and sometimes innocent kids get killed in a shoot out but not 1 time I ever heard of some gangbanger, criminals, felons and what ever else you want to title them as, run up in a school and make elementary, jr high or high school kids they main target. So the real question is. Who to keep the gunz away from, Cause One is just like the other one.
dont think it really matters if you look like him or not by the look of things
Apparently, in your mind, membership in the LAPD makes one deserving of the death penalty. Seek help.
Hey Denver...i agree with Darnell...alot of dirty cops who abuse their athority DO deserve WHATEVER they get...there's innocent people in prison with life sentences right now because of dirty over-zealous cops/prosecutors who have ignored evidence of their innocence and sometimes even HID that evidence just so they could solve the case/get a conviction and get their pat on the back or promotion...that is SICK...can you IMAGINE being innocent and knowing you have to spend the rest of your life in prison just so some jerk-off can brag to his co-workers that he solved a case...and my point is that it's cops like the one who Dorner turned in for kicking a suspect in the face who was already in cuffs...or cops like the ones who railroaded him for blowing the whistle on her...who are the kind of people that would hide evidence or knowingly send an innocent person to prison...i don't agree with Dorner killing the dirty cop's families...but IF they did all things he's saying they did then they deserve whatever they get...but not their families...Dorner is dead wrong there...that being said...THAT is why i don't do people wrong in life...exspecially on a scale of what they did to him...pretty much destroying his life...who the hell do they think they are to do that to another man...well he's showing him who they are...VICTIMS...moral of the story is...don't just go around f*cking with people cause you have no idea what they are capable of
I don't know whats worse.. the man gunned down 2 innocent people to start with who were not police officers ( it doesn't matter if they were anyways ) and yet people sickingly in some form or fashion are actually supporting this pos.
You say the cops are getting what they deserve for all their recklessness and shooting innocent people... yet this ex cop is shooting innocent people and somehow it's completely different and worth being praised by half of you lunatics. Doesn't make much sense to me.
I think anyone who supports a murderer regardless of how you feel about police, are as bad as the one commiting the crime.
Anybody who supports @!$%#s like this and wants to glorify their actions should really just disappear. Cops kill innocent people yes, but you are all brainwashed into believing every cop with a badge is on a power trip, maybe a good majority are, but not every single one. You get mad when a cop shoots an innocent person, but when an ex cop gets mad and wants to kill ( over stupid @!$%# ) innocent people you find it almost basically ok because of whatever your reasons are. That's sick and hypocritical.
Sounds like you are pretty sure he got railroaded huh!
My grandfather died because of the actions of an incompetent surgeon. I don't condone shooting up hospitals because of it.
Some of you need to figure out what a space bar and periods are. You don't support his killings but if they did what this crazy idiot says then they deserve whatever they get... how much @!$%#tier can you get?? Most of you have never had a bad run in with a cop, we've all seen and heard of all the crap some of them have done, many worse then others yet a good majority of us have never been roughed up by one or shot at. Even if I had as much as I would love to see one get the hell beat out of him, I'd never sit there and say hey it's ok if someone comes and kills him he deserves it... what kind of mentality is that?
I try to see from some of you peoples point of view, try to see how all of this is equally ok to be murdered for... but I can't figure it out. If they DID do all of this too him and he is this cry baby victim, where is it still morally ok to declare that murder is perfectly ok because they hurt him by supposidly ruining his career?. Ruining someones career is horrible, but I will never see it as warranting the death penalty.
I never said i condone him shooting INNOCENT people...that's why i said he was wrong for going after the families of those who have done him wrong...and i also said "IF" they did what he said they did then they deserve whatever he does to "THEM"...not their families...but what happens to cops/prosecutors when it is found out after an innocent person has spent 20+ years of their life in prison that the cops/prosecutors PURPOSELY hid or ignored evidence of that person's innocence? the answer is NOTHING...they are NEVER punished...even when it's PROVEN that they broke the law and sent an innocent person to prison...so it's sortof ironic that they are actually suffering some consequences for once...if Dorner is making it all up then he's just a sick f*ck...but IF they really railroaded him...then shame on them and they are partially to blame for whatever happens...i don't condone him killing anybody...but if i go out and ruin another man's whole life...take away the career he has worked hard for...make him lose everything he owns...then i really have no reason to complain when he comes after me...whether he goes overboard or not (like Dorner is by killing people, especially innocent family members) i brought it on myself...and with a legal system that REFUSES to punish it's own when they break the laws they are sworn to uphold, or blatently abuse their authority...the only recourse is to just drop it or to do what Dorner is doing...i personally would just drop it and let Karma take care of them...but maybe Dorner is a representative of Karma...to sum it up...what Dorner is doing is WRONG...all i'm saying is they shouldn't have done what they did to him and he wouldn't be hunting them down
TexasLaw,
Did you read his manifesto? in it he says that he has tried all legal means of resolving the issue...he has been through all the legal appeals...but like i said the legal system REFUSES to admit it has done wrong...so all they do is defend their decisions TO THE END...they will never admit they were wrong and give this man back his career/reputation...so what is left for him to do? like said either drop it and move on or do what he is doing...and i keep saying I DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT HE IS DOING...if you walk into a forest and see a grizzly bear...and you walk right up to the bear and kick it do you deserve to be mauled and killed? no, but that's what will happen if you do that...so if you maliciously and purposefully ruin a man's career do you deserve to be killed or have your family members killed, NO, absolutely NOT...but do you think any of the people responsible for his unjust firing (IF that is infact what happened) actually stopped for a second to think about how Dorner would react or what possible consequences would come out of it? no, they didn't...they probably just figured they were above him and he would just roll over and take it like a bitch...they thought wrong...and they don't deserve death, nor to have their family members targeted...but THAT is why you don't ruin other people's lives for no reason...cause you never know what they will do...and by the way i don't hear ANYTHING from the LAPD denying anything he is accusing them of...do you? if so please post the link on here so i...no so WE can see it
oh and i see that the way i worded some of my comment is contradictory...so just do clear up my opinion...i do NOT think any of those who did him wrong deserve to die...they don't...what he is doing is WRONG...but in my opinion they brought it on themselves
Ramman noodle - you are crazy and an idiot. To stereotype an entire dept on a few bad apples is pathetic. Go back to hating the world sir.
By the way TexasLaw...am i right to assume YOU are a cop? if so, thank you for serving and protecting the streets of your city...i hope you're one of the good cops as i believe MOST are
Jasper no I am not a Police Officer, I did attend the academy but that's that. I have family who are and my father was before he passed away. By the way Jasper, my comment(s) weren't aimed directly at you but a few others up above.
denver bill 2,
did anything happen to the surgeon who caused your grandfather's death? was he prosecuted or punished in any way?
he was stripped of his Medicaid billing...privilege for one patient...
TexasLaw,
oh ok...well i am not against cops or law enforcement at all...withouth them nobody would be safe...but there is WAY too much curruption and self serving people in our legal system today...and maybe Dorner made it all up...who knows...but the fact is stuff like what he's describing happened to him DOES happen alot...so what he's saying is believable...plus i have seen NO comments of denial from the LAPD...infact i just saw an article that says they are re-opening the investigation into his firing and what led up to it...it's all very unfortunate...but everyone has a breaking point...not everyone is capable of just shrugging it off when bad things are done to them...imagine cops came to your house tomorrow and accused YOU of a nearby murder...you had nothing to do with it yet they built a case against you...then they threatened you're alibi witness with prosecution if they didn't "tell the truth"...so fearing prosecution they lie against you...then the cops find evidence of your innocence and hide it...now you go to prison for 20 years...then one day all the things they did are found out...the witness intimidation and the hiding evidence...and you are let out of prison...but NOTHING is done to punish them, infact they are even allowed to keep their jobs and are free to repeat their curruption against other innocent people...how would you feel about them? what DO they deserve for stealing 20 years of your life and putting you through the hell of all that time in prison? by the way i personally, nor any of my friends or loved ones, has ever had any problems like this with law enforcement...but i watch ALOT of true life crime shows and i maticulously watch the news...and if you do that you will see just how widespread this kind of thing is in our legal system...we are all just one false accusation away from doing life in prison...wrong place wrong time and you get in their sights and you are DONE
I believe that Dorner was set up from the very start. Who knows if ever thing that he supposedly wrote was all of his words. I will not be surprise if they find out that dirty cops killed the chief's daughter and the officers. Just like they took out the people's names who he named that did him wrong, they could also add some words. I don't agree with anyone taking the law into their hands. Please tell me, how can you be a felon if you were not convicted of the crime? Why don't they show a close up of the man who was putting something in the dumpster, who was suppose to be Dorner? Why are they opening up his case now? Why would an officer accuse another officer of abusing someone if they didn't do it. I have been stopped by a cop who said that they did not see my seat belt on, so I know that there are bad cops and there are some good cops.
I hate it that a man who have served our country and tried to be a good American is being sought after like they use to do back in the day when a Black man got out of order. "We're gonna hunt him down, one officer said. I feel sorry for the people who were killed no matter who killed them. LAPD have already shot a trucks that they thought was his truck and arrested somone who looked like him. This man had a smile on his face in every photo that they show of him.
Doner seems like he's lived a life of being treated wrong even as a kid when his teacher lied on him. I wish that he had been able to forgive because if you can't forgive and you keep trying to do good and keep getting kicked in the face and all of this stuff keep piling out on you and you don't feel that you have never received justice... this is who you trun out to be.
I haven't seen any comments that offer the possibility that Dorner was dismissed correctly from the LAPD. The whole lynch mob seems determined that the police are completely at fault.Anyone capable of revenge killings of innocent persons had to have some serious things wrong in his head. I've been fired from a job or two and the thought of killing someone over it has never crossed my mind. It's best to just move on to a better situation. That's not possible for Mr. Dorner and he has not improved his situation.
jazzsinger2000,
go to Dorner's facebook page...he posted a link to his manifesto with ALL the names in it...the media are the ones who censored the names out...and i think it's pretty clear that he's doing all this...i don't think he's being framed for what he's doing right now...he even says it in his manifesto...he tried ALL legal avenues and they were all brick walls...like i said unless they are FORCED to do so, our legal system will never admit they were wrong...and even when they do none of those responsible for the wrong-doing are punished in any way...it is sick...what does is it reassures all the cops, prosecutors, and judges that they can do whatever they want with out fear of punishment because they are legally protected by eachother...Dorner tried to resolve the matter legally...he failed...most rational people would just give up and accept defeat...but like i said everyone has their breaking point and they pushed Dorner to his...he is no longer thinking rationally...he has nothing but revenge in his mind
e patton,
how do you stop an organization who no longer has any checks and balances? you don't...you do exactly what you said...you move on and do nothing and that orgainization is free to do whatever they want to whoever they want...this is a lose lose situation because if Dorner tried all legal avenues and failed...to just move on and do nothing leeves them free to do the same thing to more people...it allows their curruption to continue...and there is no legal way to stop the curruption because they just cover stuff up and protect eachother's backs on all levels...so the choice is to do nothing and let it continue or do something drastic to bring attention to the curruption...Dorner will eventually be caught...and if he doesn't get the death penalty he will atleast never get out of prison...but now that the investigation into his unlawful firing has been reopened and it's all over the media they will probably be forced to admit the wrongs that have been done to him and the curruption will be uncovered and stopped...FOR NOW...so like i said it's a lose lose situation
The fact that the LAPD SAYS they are reopening his case is a whitewash imo,and Dorner already HAS the death penalty. As far as the corruption being uncovered, even if it is nothing will become of it,he mentioned in his manifesto that all of the cops involved in the Rodney King case have been promoted over the years,so now they are at the top of the corruption totem pole.
sulu1701 ,
yea that's crazy...i think once you are found to be a currupt cop you should NEVER be allowed to be involved with law enforcement again...the whole job of officials in our legal system is to ENFORCE the laws...if they themselves are breaking the law how can they do their job objectively? they should just arrest themselves...atleast they can say they solved the case! lmao
As of 1/2 hour ago the news in California reported that he was in a shootout with police in Big Bear,Ca.Two officers were injured. He had also recently broke into a couple's cabin, tied them both up and one escaped to call the police. He also stole a vehicle.
They are searching for him like crazy because he shot and killed 2 or 3 cops. But if he would have shot 2 or 3 members of your family or mine the attention would not be the same. Are cops lives worth more then yours or mine? NO. This is bullsh*t. I don't condone this criminal but there are reason criminals target cops, because cops kill innocent people everyday in the US.
Ok, this all began when he murdered a young couple in cold blood
http://www.foxsportswest.com/02/08/13/Fullerton-women-return-following-tragic-/msn_landingalt.html?blockID=861365&feedID=3707&ocid=ansfox11
and then posted a manifesto saying that he would not stop shooting people until his name was cleared pertaining to his being fired from the LAPD. This man is sick crazy dangerous and anyone that he comes into contact with could be at risk here.
http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Cop-Revenge-Shooter-Named-Names-in-Manifesto-blamed-Asians-Hispanics-and-Lesbians-190218051.html
GM, Chef. My guess is he has two days tops. (Hopefully)
Police officers put their lives on the line every single day. Look at them as an INVESTMENT into your community -- when a good cop is gunned down a community loses a valuable resource, not to mention all of the time and money that went into getting them to that point. It takes a toll on the other officers on the force - their mental health is affected and that's not good for anyone.
A police officer's life is not "more valuable" than yours.....but a good cop's contribution to the community and dedication to the badge should be protected.
Walk a mile in their shoes, or be a family member who kisses their LEO good-bye and NEVER knows if they will come back home. Yes, anyone can die at any time, but some people have chosen to heighten their chances by going into a profession that is meant to PROTECT your life.
Dorner is a danger to society. The fact that he is a threat to the people who have sworn to protect you and uphold the law is an attack on all of us.
OK, He has killed one officer and you sir are a moron. Your comments show how little you know on the subject. Man hunts of this type go on that don't involve an officer shooting all the time.
Morning chefaz-13195063
Amen to your comment
Morning stonepipe2, agree
I find this whole matter just plain messed up. The fact that NOW the LAPD is opening up his case of being dismissed from the force, just has me shaking my head. Having worked for the government myself for a long time, I do understand how politics work, things can go so wrong in the government and the price to be paid when standing up to do the right thing. From how things can get buried, top management backs up their drinking buddies, ignores the truth, hides wrong doing of said buddies, deliberately lies to the public, applies pressure to try to force workers to not reveal major problems to other agencies which violate contracts and regulations, and refuses to accept responsibility when investigations are finally done. So obviously injustices can occur and do happen. Those in positions of great authority can really pardon the expression, "screw" the little guy over and devastate his life. I have seen it up close and personal. With a coworker who killed himself finally one night. How ironic, the very next morning, suddenly people were finally willing to listen. But oh so too late for my friend. At least some changes came about and his death wasn't in vain.
So the idea that someone can "snap" and want to seek revenge for how they were treated, yep, I get it. Some people can get pushed too far. Especially if they have already had something going on, that they have tried to have corrected for a long time, but keep getting it shoved back into their face. The saying"anyone is capable of killing" as frightening or impossible as it may seem to most of us, under the right conditions, does make one pause to think it is true. Down right scary actually.
Hope they catch this guy, before he kills again. How tragic he killed those who had nothing to do with him, two young lives, full of promise, and another who was working so hard to keep his community safe. May they all rest in peace
Problem with most of the quotes above are you may be wrong. You folks are saying he has killed/murdered x many people. Right now you have no proof, can't you even read. Do you not understand what a suspect is? Dorner is a suspect in some murders, last I heard he was not tried in a court of law so that makes him innocent UNTIL proven guilty.
Innocent until proven guilty, are you kidding me??? Tell that to the Asian ladies who drove a vehicle that looked like Dorner's. The police are not interested in having him tried and convicted in court.
I doubt they are spending resources investigating his case. It's probably more like buying time by letting him think they are.
And General Motors to you WDS.
Mexico is a bad place to be with a million dollar bounty on your head. He would have been better off staying in the mid west and northwest, out there are people who would love him simply because he's bucking the government. I wish the LAPD would work this hard on crimes against regular citizens.
So far Dorner has killed three people. Were any of them responsible for his alleged misery. No. So OK 1234, your comment is baseless.
If you want to get the attention of those who have wronged you, kill their loved ones. Kind of like what Anders Brevek (sp.?) did.
nobody in their right mind can condone what he is doing or say that anyone DESERVES what he is doing...but all those who maliciously destroyed his career (and i keep saying IF that is what happened) brought this on themselves...Dorner did the right thing by turning that officer in for kicking a suspect who was already in cuffs...she broke the law! instead of punishing her they railroaded him right out of his career for crossing the "blue line"...let's talk about this "blue line"...they might as well say "snitches are bitches" like some common thugs...bunch of hypocrites...cops/prosecutors/judges are NOT ALLOWED to break the law to enforce the law...they are REQUIRED to play by the rules...when they do not innocent people go to prison...or lose their jobs/careers...and those who help cover up wrong-doings are just as guilty as those who actually took part in them...by the way these are all just MY OPINIONS which i am entitled to...my opinions are what they are because i believe what Dorner is saying happened to him...if he is making it all up i will eat my words and admit that my opinions were wrong
Jasper, I guess you totally missed where three witnesses, not connected to LAPD, said Dorner's partner did NOT kick anyone in the head. But I suppose you have proof those witnesses are crisis actors, or bribed or threatened by LAPD. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, so let's have yours.
Couch potatos.
TROLL
i want's me a mustard biscuit...hmmmmhuh...some people call it a key board ...i calls it a enema giver for trolling couch taters...hmmmhuh...
Plain bob,WTF are you?
Wherever he is, I hope he is brought back in a body bag. That will save us the trouble of watching/listening on the liberal news outlets about that this poor misguided individual who was a victim. Evil guns, racism and more blah, blah will be played to the hilt.
Justice will be done when Dorner finishes what he says he is going to do. At least that how I see it. There is no justice if he is killed. He isnt a killer, at least in the court of law. Only by the LAPD.
jon u are an idiot. Yes, he is a murder suspect in the eyes of the court of law. He has been charged with murder. That is why there is a warrant out for his arrest.
i agree with you Jon, Plus i don't think the media even realizes it but they are only helping Dorner out with all this up to date 24/7 coverage. They are giving to the revlutionary nation (who ever is helping him)and Dorner a chance to slip under the radar while they shine their flashlights around town .... does anyone else see how much $ and resources the LAPD is using on this one person ... seems pretty waste full being the fact that he is only vowing to kill the corrupt and diseased drones of this @!$%# box society we live in today ...
I thought California was broke? Where are they getting the moolah for a one million dollar reward? They going to put it on an Foodstamp card?
The liberal media they too have already convicted this guy. He is just like OJ Guilty before he is proven innocent.
If you've been following this disgusting thread of comments, you'd notice that those who are calling him a hero and innocent sure don't sound like "liberals" to me.
Freedom Fighter or Domestic Terrorist? Interesting how Americans are split on this. A modern day D'Jango or Psyco Killer?
Could someone explain to me how D'Jango got up for an Academy Award?
"I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax
can't sleep 'cause my beds on fire
DON"T touch me I'm a real live wire
psycho killer......better run run run away! I say we blame the Talking Heads.
"Talking Heads" the band or the "Talking Heads" praised in his manifesto?
gm stonepipe
He's singing a different tune now.
"This is not my beautiful life."
GMDB2- responded to the horse comment yesterday-funny-hope you saw it.
TS-the band, it is the "in" thing nowadays to blame anything than the person. Great tune.
Saw it and liked it. Thanks. It's good to know that not all the insanity here is toxic.
"Pat Brown tried to run the cops down... Pat Brown ran em into the ground" sic Vandals. Our new Pat Brown...Chris Dorner is a HERO! The time for signs and sit-ins has ended. Viva La Revolution!
LAPD always seems to get their tit in a ringer. Some will agree that payback is a bitch.
I think he has been influenced by radical islamic ideaology.
If he has. Then he is wearing a burka and strapped with explosives. Scary thought.
No, that's just your usual groundless paranoia kicking in.
Says the person who thinks all LAPD cops deserve to be killed.
I said I hope he cleans the rest of the department up. Please do find where I said I want all their cops killed. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Exactly how is he going to "clean the rest of the department up"?
Go ahead. I'll wait.
Yep, that dept is a busy catbox right now, I'll bet they brought a few dumptrucks of sand back from Big Bear.
for some reason i feel like rooting for the underdog i mean they have already convicted him of murder without a trial he is no longer a suspect they declared typical bull@!$%# in the us
The typical bull is anyone who would be rooting for someone who has killed 3 innocent people. No one has convicted him of anything.
but I will bet you had Casey Anthony pegged as guilty before she was brought to trail too. Dorner is NOT the underdog. He is a cowardly killer.
Innocent how? You mean like getting blown up by a drone at your cousin's wedding or funeral because there might be a terrorist there? That kind of innocent. Maybe like having your country bombed into the stone age because a bunch of hapless sheep believe you were involved in 9/11 plotting? What exactly is innocence anyway? I believe our country has forever changed the idea of innocence in the world at large and our general lack of empathy for the world at large is bringing on a reaping that is just starting. Buckle your seat belts!!!
I can't believe you people who are proclaiming Dorner some sort of national hero and cheering him on. So far he's produced nothing in the way of evidence of any wrong doing or corruption by the LAPD. And even if his claims are valid, to date he's only killed innocent people; people who had NOTHING to do with it. And he's killing people simply because he believed they made a racial comment or he lost a job. Is that worth someone dying over?
It's so obvious in your comments how blood thirsty and callous the human animal can be. You are the same people who in a crisis would steal food from starving children if you felt you might drop a pound. Weasels who like the taste of blood so kill a whole yard of chickens without eating one.
The paper ladies whose truck has 30+ new ventilation holes would beg to disagree.
Are we using drones in Mexico yet. He could possibly be the first American citizen killed by Obama's new executive order.
Don't need evidence jut a "hunch" and now we just lost DUE PROCESS what will be next SPEECH and RELIGION
Interesting how the story has it that the police "believe" Dorner is the person who shot the cops. Well of course they believe he did, but believing don't make anybody guilty. Believing requires a bundle of thoughts twisted together and knowing does not require thought. It makes sense that he acted on what he wrote but as far as I am concerned there are a lot of people out there who would use this as a chance to get back at the cops just as well.
tshanny- a sixteen year old american has already been killed by these drones, for no other reason then looking for his father(deemed a terrorist by this country and executed already)and that was after the killing of his father.
Mark,
I was thinking exactly the same. In fact, I'm surprised there haven't been more police shot. It's going to get really interesting for the cops when two are shot in different parts of town simultaneously.
maybe a Mexican will pick him off
They can't catch 20 million illegals, how do you expect them to catch this guy. He'll probably hold-up done there and wait for amnesty.
I hope he is apprehended soon before he can kill other innocent people!
I don't think he killed "innocent" people. Not condoning killing, but the LAPD reopened his case for a reason. You just can't keep messing with people and expect them to stand there and take it. I suspect there are a few others out there involved with his firing that are looking over their shoulder.
If you don't think those 3 people were innocent people I have serious concerns about you. They are reviewing his case in hopes it will have an effect on his mind set about shooting the people he has signalled out.
How do you know he was messed with? The only thing you have to base that on is his manifesto. Personally I don't put a lot of stock in anything someone says that goes around killing people that had nothing to do with his perceived gripe.
Did the young woman or her fiance "mess" with him? Did the Riverside police officer "mess" with him? No, but all three of them are dead. Dorner is a coward. He won't "mess with" the actual people who fired him or caused him to be fired. He has killed three innocent people, period. This guy is in no way a hero or is justified in whatever statement he is trying to make.
So Paul and Jim I did not know you where there and witness to the shootings/murders. Wow, I'm surprised the cops have not reported they had eye witness. You see that's your problem, you did not witness it and he is a suspect but you already have him convicted. Can you read and do you understand the word suspect?
I also find it hard to believe that he would report a abuse that the victims father corroborated if it did not happen. Yeah we know LAPD and area cops don't abuse people, watch the Kelly Thomas video and get back to me. Jim if he is such a coward then go find him and tell it to his face. You two are as bad as Nancy Grace
Maybe I'm not aware of a new executive order, but if Obama had him killed by a drone then he would be the 4th American killed by Obama. Well the 4th that we know of anyway, could be much more
TACTICS, TACTICS, TACTICS.
Question...does it hurt you worse if I attack you or someone you love or care a great deal about.
This guy is following the playbook, quite well, and his every action and inaction has a defined purpose.
Carry on
fishman, no where did I say Dorner was innocent or guilty. I was responding to Nuke who questioned that the 3 people were innocent people. Looks like your the one that has problems comprehending.
Do yourself a favor and read "Christopher Dorner vs LAPD Court of Appeals 2nd District".
In that court filing and summary you will see Dorner had plenty of motive to file the complaint against Sgt. Evans. Evans was his probationary coach and gave him an "unsatisfactory rating" on his probation. Dorner filed the complaint the day AFTER he recieved the bad rating even though he had plenty of opportunites to file the compaint in the 2 weeks before that rating was received.
Sure, the father wouldn't have any bias in his testimony. Everyone should know that anything he said should be gospel.
Fish - just curious, did you give the same benefit of the doubt to Casey Anthony? OK, so, did I witness it? Of course not. Did you? I don't have to put my hand on a stove to reasonably come to the conclusion that it is hot. I don't really care if his allegation against his Sergeant was true or false. If he truly felt that that he was wronged by the LAPD, what did he do about it? File a lawsuit over being wrongly fired? No, he writes a manifesto threatening to kill innocent others, and then suddenly some of those end up dead. Could it be a coincidence? Sure. Could a spaceship land in my backyard? Sure. Ok, so technically you are correct. He is not yet CONVICTED of murder. But the likelihood of his guilt, given what we think we know about the course of events, is extremely high. And yes, he is a coward. His actions are cowardly. And a domestic terrorist. If he is not those things, then he should come forward or talk through a lawyer to assert his innocence, work out a scenario to turn himself in unharmed, and end this manhunt.
fishman, that's a low blow - NOBODY'S as bad as Nancy Grace!
After shooting up a pickup with 2 innocent WOMEN inside,do you really think they are gonna let him turn himself in?
I just want to know what justification does the FBI and Marshall service have with this case? Why would LAPD call in the FEDS on this case. Apparently there is more to this case than we know and they are not gonna tell us.
Interstate flight to avoid prosecution. If they have reasonable grounds to believe he fled the state or country, the Feds can step in.
So a person J.Y. lived near where the vehicle was found and is helping him now. They can’t find J.Y.? What vehicles does J.Y. have or would it be to confusing. You would think the police would have known if he was being helped. How did it stay out of the news that someone could be helping him. I kept thinking he froze or stole a car. How many people are helping him do they think? What did his mom and sister say? I bet they know who his friends are and people he acted out what’s happening with. They must of had some type of idea of what was going to happen. So they are in Mexico but the police just said they believe they are there. Where will they go from there. They could be like the beltway sniper case. Why are they not killing people, their just going to run and hide and stay out of America. If the police give out all the people helping it would be easier to think of what is happening. They might run to other countries too. Dorner is to tough for me to catch.
Why in the world would law enforcement want to advertise that they are watching a possible associate of Dorner. That makes a lot of sense.
Sorry your right, I just feel like I was guessing when they had good information. Were they watching J.Y. or were they looking for him. Are they still looking for J.Y. or do they have him or is he free. It sounds like he should be going to prison.
The only reason that the LAPD released the "J.Y." information, is to let Dorner know that THEY know. Given what I've seen of Dorner, so far, they (LAPD) may be playing to HIS script.
He has out smarted the cops so should have brought in the Military.........he sure is mad so maybe when he calms down he'll turn himself in....
Probably not a part of his mind set, now or ever. Once he started this journey I'm thinking that he believed it had only a very few scenarios that would play out. I'm thinking that "turning himself in" was not one of them.
Carry on...
I have never seen so much BS as this about Doner that you "Law Abiding" citizens are spewing. You maybe should be thinking about looking over your shoulders. It's been what 3 days or so since he ditched his truck. In 3 days one can be on the East Coast and you don't have to speed to do it. I have crossed this country many times in a truck and trailer that was governed at 68 MPH and never broke a DOT Regulation to do it. I'll put a dollar to your dime that he had another vehicle stashed and is not in the area. To think he went to Mexico is doubtful to me.
Good point. He's been one step ahead so far, you could be right.
Just because you CAN drive from the West coast to the East coast in 3 days gives no evidence that he DID. There is evidence, however, that Dorner headed South. Items belonging to him were found just North of the Mexican border, South of San Diego.
Hey, you can fly to China from California in less than 1 day. I know, I've done it more than once. And never broke a flying rule to do it...
So, yeah, Dorner MUST be in China.
Wonder who will make the movie?
It sounds like he is smart enough to put things where people will find them to make them think he went somewhere like over the border. But I would agree. I don't think he would risk crossing the border. They would be looking for him there and he would know that.
It's sad that he killed those people, but this is an interesting story to follow. It has so much depth.
nogales jack
Was thinking the same thing...
Did I get this right, that he was fired three years ago? A man smart as he is could have had a really well rehearsed plan on evading the law - could have a place all set up to hide away, extra vehicles, etc. That's a lot of time to plan. Could be right in your back yard. I hope you don't pi$$ him off.
More than 600 tips came in and not one was right. Doners a professional. Not some. Teenager throwing a fit. He is a professional that's proving a point.
A professional what? He was flunking his probationary period for LAPD. He was mainly a surveillance officer in the naval reserve working in a sonar/radar unit. True he has had more training then the average person, but there are a lot of people in law enforcement with a lot more training then him.
People are not heros for going on killing sprees because they have issues with their employer. I think the media is hyping his professionalism. He got a few target shooting awards and had some survival training from his friend, so now he's Rambo.
mostspecial-they used to hand out those"shooting awards" like candy, a friend of mine got one and when sighting in his new gun, failed to even hit the target at fifty yards(about twenty shots) i then took his gun up and shot a quick up and out and hit the third ring of said target first shot, handed it back to him and said it wasn't the gun it was the operator, haha. marksman badge my azz!
He may have the advantage because he doesn't think like them, but he knows how THEY think, only time will tell
I honestly don't know who I'm rooting for . Doner or I the popo
DJ you are a moron. What point is he proving? that he can ambush and kill innocent people? If you don't know who you are "rooting for" in all of this, you shouild check your morale compass. This is real, not some reality show. Go visit the wife and two young kids of the dead policeman, then maybe you will decide who you are "rooting for." Idiot.
Jim-
Do you clean your crystal ball with pledge or just soap and warm water ?
JimN-Did the young woman or her fiance "mess" with him? Did the Riverside police officer "mess" with him? No, but all three of them are dead. Dorner is a coward. He won't "mess with" the actual people who fired him or caused him to be fired. He has killed three innocent people, period.
HOW do YOU know the couple didn't mess with Dorner..?
HOW do YOU know the Riverside officer didnt mess with Dorner...?
HOW do you know Dorner killed three innocent people ?
And YOUR calling other Posters MORONS ? muuhahahaahahaha
What IF the couple did mess with Dorner..?
What IF the Riverside office did mess with Dorner..?
Justification for their deaths????
muuhahahahahahaha
Bo - c-'mon man, throw a little common sense into your thoughts. You are willing to blame the victims? Really? OK, the LIKELIHOOD that the young woman and the fiance even knowing Dorner was extremely, remotely low, unless he was a Fullerton women's basketball fan maybe. What possible motive would either of them have to interact with Dorner at any level? And what a coincidence that the very Riverside police officer who was supposedly messing with Dorner just happened to be stopped at a stop light where Dorner just happened to be early in the morning, and Dorner saw his opportunity to exact his revenge on that particular officer. C'mon man, don't be so stupid or so naive. The officers were obviously ambushed. You see, a crystal ball is not necessary to form a reasonable scenario. And by the way, nobody who would try the case or serve as a juror witnessed the incidents either, but they would have to make a determination without the use of a crystal ball. That's the way our legal system works. The standard is not "if you didn't see it, you aren't qualified to decide." The standard is "beyond a reasonable doubt." Dorner has left very little doubt about his guilt.
Bo, if you're claiming the victims are somehow guilty of "messing with" Dorner (whatever that means) the burden is on you to provide proof. If your type keep harping on how innocent he is, then the victims are X1000 more innocent unless you prove otherwise.
And another thing. The don't even know if it was him whob killed the daughter and hubby. It's called assumption. Yeah they have a 5 page letter he wrote. Doesnt mean he did it. Innocent until proven guilty I thought.
He has already admitted to the killings. Do you think he is Bull****ing?
dream, you can't get a warrant on assumptions. Just because the police haven't laid out the case in the media for you to see doesn't mean they don't have one.
How many innocent people killed or bullied and beaten by the ones paid to protect them all over N. America
DJ. You have it wrong. It is guilty until proven innocent. We here in America have so many CRIMINAL COPS and POLITICIANS that if you are a whistle blower or someone who wants to do things by the Rule of Law, you are an outcast and gotten rid of, one way or another. All of our Politicians who want to Reward Federal Criminals, such as Illegals, should be tried and put in Jail. Dorner and a lot of people like him are for justice, but he has gone about it the wrong way. If, and that is a big IF,our Politicians were tried for there crimes, there would be NO Politicians left, same for cops. We Americans are going to have to stand up, and that day is coming.
wascigarman
(IF,our Politicians were tried for there crimes, there would be NO Politicians left, same for cops. We Americans are going to have to stand up, and that day is coming.)
That will never happen Sir, sorry to say..AMERICA knows the Cops & Politicians are crooks, everyone says "VOTE THEM ALL OUT" Did you know in the last election, 92% of incumbents where voted BACK IN ?
NUFF SAID ?
Innocent until proven guilty only exists in the eyes of the law. If someone murders your daughter because they want to get at you I will guarantee you that you will find them guilty long before they get to court.
If he went to Mexico he'd better have mucho dinero, and I doubt that. They'll kill him and bring his body back in a heartbeat for a mil.
I still think they'll find him with a self-inflicted head wound.
If he's in Mexico he'll want to keep running because they have an extradition treaty with the US.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's buried himself in some snow cave up by Big Bear, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Interesting. I don't see him killing himself. Someone else will need to shoot him. He's on a mission.
It is my understanding that Mexico does not believe in the death penalty, so they won't extradite unless the death penalty is taken off the table.
Mexico has something worse than the death penalty - Mexican prisons. You'll just wish you were dead.
If he is innocent, then he should come forward and stand trial. If you are acting guilty, chances are good that you are guilty.
If he came forward he would be shot by police immediately even if he was unarmed. There is no way in hell he is coming in alive. LAPD will make sure of that. They have to cover their own ass too.
Airthief- he could work thru a lawyer, family, friends, contacts to state his innocence, if he fears for his safety. But his silence is sending the message that he is running and hiding because he is guilty.
He is most likely guilty of committing multiple homicides.
Jim N, do you honestly think that this man would get any kind of a fair trial if he turned himself in? I don't think so at all. 99% of the people in this country already have deemed him guilty and are ready to hang him without benefit of a trial. I seriously doubt that he COULD turn himself in without being killed.
No, I am NOT condoning what he did. I can, in a way, understand it, though. When you are accused of wrongdoing and no one believes you, it's not a good feeling at all.
All he'd need is one idiot Yahoo "he's a hero" poster on the jury and he's home free.
sounds like a job for dog the bounty hunter, and a good way to get his show back.
In Mexico, this guy would stick out like a sore thumb, no too many black men in Mexico.
If he is lighter skinned he would blend in. He just needs one of those big hats.
The burned out truck was definitely a diversion' which gave him much needed time to get miles between the police and himself.long distance and main highways offer to much exposure hes hold up in a rural area driving his new vehicle he had near his truck and is well supplied and patient. this looks like it was well planned!hope no one else gets hurt but....
Got you in my prayers Rambro!
I listed this under one of the other stories concerning Dorner but I think it's worth saying again.
For those who consider Dorner some kind of hero and LAPD the bad guy in this case I suggest you google "Christoper Dorner vs LAPD Court of Appeals of California 2nd district".
It is the appeals court findings when Dorner appealed his firing. The court filing contains testimony summaries and their findings.
What I found most interesting was that Dorner was in his probationary stage of his employment with LAPD and had a ride along "coach" who was Sgt. Evans which is standard procedure. Below is a timeline of events as layed out by the court filing.
1) Dorner and Evan responded to a call and apprehended a mentally impaired person who was the one alledged to have been kicked by Sgt. Evans according to Dorner.
2) Dorner did the report on the incident which included the normal "use of force" report in those situations. Dorner did not mention anything about any kicking in that report.
3) When asked about the use of force by other supervisors in the normal followup Dorner again didn't say anything about Evans kicking the suspect.
4) 2 weeks after the incident Dorner received his evaluation on his probation and was given an "unsatifactory rating" by his coach Sgt. Evans
5) the next day after receiving the "unsatisfactory rating" from Sgt. Evans, Dorner filed the kicking complaint against Evans.
The Appeals court summary is that Dorner had many opportunities to come forward with his complaint, but choose to do so only after receiving his "unsatisfactory rating". The court went on to say that Dorners reasons for not coming forward were not compeling and that he had motive to lie about the incident. There were also notations that the injuries of the suspect or lack of, were not consistent with the discription of the incident by Dorner.
Paul. You believe something that the cops say? Sir, dont you know that there is a blue wall, and no cops are guilty of anything. You sir are gullible. You probably believe that Politicians are honest also. I suggest that you google Rubio Scandals and just see how the GOP Saviour Rubio is doing.
Cops use "set ups" all the time. Maybe he got an "unsatisfactory" because he didn't report it immediately.
Did you, Paul71-1655761, also happen to see this comment just below the case and its findings?...
Given the amount of deference that the appellate court gives the trial court's decision (where the appellate court looks at the decision in the light most favorable to the winning party and not to Dorner) and then the amount of deference the trial court gives the LAPD Board. If all it takes to uphold the Board's findings is Sergeant Evans saying she didn't kick the guy (which is questionable procedure whereas she shouldn't be allowed to be a witness for herself).
After reading the manifesto where Dorner says the testifying Sergeants were all friends of the Sergeant who kicked the guy, it seems like it's easy for a few lying officers to completely bias an investigation by the Board.
It seems like Dorner's biggest crime, at least according to this decision, is that he didn't report it in the proper way, which is understandable given that it's hard to call your supervisor a liar.
This whole decision seems to have been largely influenced by a few procedural errors he made (understandable since he was away for so long).
Even the trial court didn't say she didn't kick him they just said they weren't sure that she did.
Reading this decision makes one question the whole procedure for reporting an officer, it seems very, very easy for an officer to get around an investigation.
The courts give way too much deference to the LAPD, especially given their history of corruption.
This was a law students,"Dave", assessment of the case.
I believe that it brings into question a number of issues regarding just how far the corruption goes up the ladder.
Carry on...
