Ultimately for progress to be made in stopping the gun violence now sweeping across this nation, it means getting accurate information to all parties involved. It benefits no one to have the wrong perceptions, and actually harms their cause. For all of us are part of the same body, like the left and right hands and mind, and need each other to help "fix" the problems, even as new individuals are added to it daily.
if there is ever to be hope of finding and implimenting solutions to this violence, a a chance of healing for all those victims suffering from the damage done, and those families left behind to mourn, it is not going to be a simple one step approach. All sides need to be willing to keep an open mind, listen to the others concerns and try to build a bride to meet theirs. Black and white thinking, with absolute, rigid perceptions, will only make things more difficult. Recognizing that there are many multiple factors causing these problems is essential, so multiple solutions are required.
Judgmental attitudes, allowing emotions to rule instead of reason, and attacking others opinions never is called for.One can debate without any of that, and never knows the past some may have, including being victims.. At the end of the day, we need to allow others their own views, while still trying to reach a common good for all.The hardest part is always respecting those who see things differently, and what rights must be protected. A very difficult thing to do at time

"gun violence now sweeping across this nation"
I hate to break this to you, but gun violence in the US is at the lowest level since 1981.
Better check with the FBI before you lie in public.
