Christopher Dorner, a former Los Angeles officer.
The charred human remains located in the burned out cabin in Seven Oaks, Calif., have been positively identified to be those of Christopher Dorner, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Officials said the positive identification was made through a dental examination during an autopsy.
The announcement puts a cap on one of the largest and deadliest manhunts in California history.
The LAPD, which had been under a series of tactical alerts while Dorner was on the lam, cautiously returned to normal operations on Wednesday, a day after the suspect believed to be Dorner was cornered in a cabin near the Big Bear resort area.
Investigators had been combing the ski resort area since last Thursday, when Dorner’s burnt Nissan truck was found there hours after he allegedly ambushed cops in two cities, killing Officer Michael Crain.
Days earlier, police believe, Dorner killed the daughter of a retired police captain and her fiancé in Irvine to kick off a killing spree that sowed fear across the region and in the ranks of law enforcement.
All three slayings were suspected to be connected to Dorner and the plans he allegedly laid out in a manifesto targeting law enforcement officers and their families. He was incensed at the LAPD after being fired for filing a false complaint.
In a shootout on Tuesday, Dorner killed a fourth person, Sheriff's Deputy Jeremiah MacKay, and wounded another officer as he tried to escape the manhunt.
Karen and Jim Reynolds came face to face with Christopher Dorner when they arrived at their Big Bear cabin to clean it out for renters. NBC's Miguel Almaguer reports.

Well, now we know for sure...
Another good guy gun nut gone, what a shame for the NRA. Ex good guy .... not !
He hated the NRA.
He was an obama voter, what a shame for Roger....an other Lib.Demo gone... :-)
They never had any intention of taking him alive, he probably had too much to say.
Next is, I wonder who pays to rebuild this woman's property since they deliberately burned it down without any chance of talking him out with a negotiator. Will her insurance, or your tax dollars pay?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0X-WoiJhVY8
The smoke should've made him come out. Too bad he was too guilty/dumb and burned up. The guy killed several people - I wish you morons would stop defending this killer. Ohh, right, he was black; he was framed.
Hey Moshuluu the same would happen to you if you committed these absolute terribly crimes on these innocent people. Also don't forget he created this this mess and it was better to end it now then hear him whining for years to come costing tax payers millions.
Doner was doing the talking with an automatic weapon you moron how could anyone negotiator even have a chance to talk this person into giving himself up.
You can also have a little more sympathy with the people that lost there love ones and don't worry about a silly cabin that can be replaced in a heart beat.
Give yourself a shake moron
Wow mosh I guess you can read minds and listen to conspiracy theories . Or maybe your a criminal profiler...not. Crawl back under your rock. This guy has severe mental issues and it ended the way he wanted it to end.
you don't reason with rabid dogs to get their side of the story..you put them down.
God bless....... and........ Rest in Peace.......Officer Dorner.....Lt. Dorner....Your name has been cleared........
You are a martyer now for a cause....... INJUSTICE in America........
no he's not..hes a warning sign to anyone who thinks they can take the law into their own hands. Don't like it?..suck it up!..take the law into your own hands?..crispy fritters.
@ moshuluu .. you are sick. Yeah all he had to say is that he was bitter and killed innocent children and law enforcement.
He obviously was planning on not being taken alive after he shot and killed an officer at the cabin.
Are you a cop, is that a threat?
You must be a cop, you sound like a bad dude....LOL!!! you know, moron and all the name calling, which actually say's you can't get your point over any other way, except through ignorance.
Sympathy.....you don't sound like the type to offer sympathy, you sound like a bad dude. LOL!!!!!!
Go kill someone cop....
Looks like the rabid police dogs are about to infiltrate the board, and start high-fiving each other on how they took this "N" down.
Well, I've said my piece, I don't have time to argue with "ya'll" kind.
Only in your little world, freedom supporter.
I don't know what else you think he had to say, I think he said everything he had to say in his manifesto, among other things he mentioned racism from both whites and blacks. Is LAPD perfect? probably not, they are humans and there is probably favoritism going on. But they did ask him to surrender, and I am pretty certain that if he had walked into a police station with his hands up he would have been arrested, not killed.
Probably, but not "for sure" yet. I mean it's him probably, but wait for ballistics as to c.o.d.

He did try to come out. They beat him up, pushed him back in and then said over police radio to "burn the motherf----- down" (in reference to the cops lighting fire to the cabin). Kcal 9 (a Los Angeles news station) was feeding the police radio live on TV until shortly after the "motherf-----" comment.
You can go ahead and call people a moron, as that is your first amendment right (provided it's not slander or libel). But, even you know that a person is entitled to their sixth and seventh amendment rights, which Dorner did not receive. It doesn't matter if you think he *deserved* his rights or not. As an American citizen, he is supposed to be treated as innocent until proven guilty. If you don't feel that way, then allow me to invoke my first amendment rights, you're a moron.
Sympathetic with a cop killer? You don't know his story and neither do we, but all of you that sympathize without that facts must be doing so just because he is black. Can't think of another reason. There are quite a few nut jobs on this site. Roger-This guy was a democrat and Obama supporter. That speaks volumes right there. Maybe he did get the shaft-we don't know, but he could have obtained a civil rights attorney instead of killing people and if he had won-had millions.
Why don't all of you like minded people move to Chicago. They have strict gun policies there! Try it you will like it. Some people have nothing better to do than riot-even destroy their own neighborhoods. How stupid is that? You could monitor and supervise your own communities.
Bet the LA cops enjoyed the bath and clean drawers last night? They had been scared @!$%#less for several days. Even shooting at cars that resembled the one they thought they were looking for. As for all the what about the families are you people forgetting another family? His. I'm sure they didn't want him to do this and didn't want it end like it did.
How he went about everything to get his story told was WRONG! Having said that, LAPD reeks of lies and coverups! Dorner got what he wanted and deserved...two wrongs, do NOT make a right! I say, lets get an INDEPENDENT investigation on the UNLAWFUL, corrupt LAPD!
Moshuhu; sounds like you are one of those who turns everything into a race issue. I am the first one to say I am prejudiced I can't stand anyone POS regardless of the color of their skin, its the character of the person that's important. Let's get the facts out. 1) Dorner had hearings with the LAPD and was found to have filed a wrong complaint and was dismissed by the LAPD for that reason. 2) He killed two innocent people in cold blood in Irvine with the only connection to his allegedly being wronged of Monica Quan's father, 3) he shot and killed RPD office Michael Crain and injured another RPD officer while they were at an intersection, 4) he took 2 people hostage in Big Bear, 5) he carjacked another man in Big Bear at gun point, 6) he killed Det. McKay and injured another Deputy in Big Bear, 7) he fired on other law enforcement officers in Big Bear and then barricaded himself in a cabin which he broke into. Those are the facts and they not in dispute. This loser sounds just like the spoiled child who doesn't get his/her way and then cries to his/her Mommy or Daddy until they give in.
This is what is left of a life after Satan is finished infesting the mind to drive men to crazy stuff. Then he will through you away, just like he did Judas. John 13: 1 - 2, Ephesians 2: 2 and verse 10, Romans 2: 5 - 11.
DivCh - They spoke to the people to whom he reported about - they, CNN and other news outlets, confirmed Dorner was telling the truth. There is a coverup for sure!
what do you get from the cross of a pig with a chicken?
It makes me wonder if this guys firing from the LAPD was due to racism, the cops in LA look all white and this guy was not white. They will shove this under the rug and that so called "investigation" in his firing will no longer exist. I am sure there is a cover up He put on a good fight and was trained well, sad that all of that transpired. We need more God in this society, its a fallen world. More love and acceptance thats for sure.
Okicize.....
The car that looked like his would not have been shot up if they would have stopped when the lights came on in the police car.
Would be fewer Police chases if this happened more often. In fact I bet they would stop 99.99% of them.
Ironic all these comments without doing a bit of research. I'm white, I don't date black guys and I even think the poor guy got framed. Everything is "Allegedly." I think they wanted to kill him before he talked. He was a whistle blower and the police dept. either supports people like that or has to quiet them down.
If he was such a murderer? Why didnt he kill the couple he tied up? Why didn't he kill the guy he stole the truck from? If you listen to the tapes on CNN. They planned to kill him, they planned to burn him. I think the poor guy was set up to take the fall for some major @!$%# that went down.
:( Sux that our society has become so cruel and manipulative.
prospective12
Your a lying bastrd! I listened to the law enforcement radio traffic too. The cops did not say anything about killing, burning, ect. Get a life. What's the matter, you can't get enough attention at home. You gotta try to stir things up here? Just another "Thread warrior"!!!
The bad guy is now history. Good riddence.
I am suffering from a slight case of post traumatic stress disorder by proxy just hearing about a real life ordeal where a human being was trapped inside a cabin and burned alive inside. And its even more stressful knowing that the group of people responsible for this horrific act are the people who r suppose to serve and protect us. The police think they are one-step above the law and the sad fact is - they r usually right. I cannot believe those officers in charge of making the calls that day weren't charged themselves for torturing a human being by burning him alive while he was trapped in a cabin. If dorner was the sadistic, serial killer that the police have protrayed him as, than why didn't he kill that couple and in another situation allow that man and his dog to walk away unharmed? Dorner could have taken at least one of them hostage, but he didn't. On the other hand, the police shot at those two women in their pickup truck that were totally unrelated to this case. I always say actions speak louder than words... Dorner's actions speak volumns to me that he isn't the evil person the police are protraying him to be. I feel traumatized about this whole ordeal with the horrific way it ended, but i am comforted as a christian knowing that justice will be done in the end. The police might be one step above the law on this earth, but make no mistake...they will not be able to flee from God's justice. The problem with people today is they feel they can do anything they want and as long as they get away with it, they won't have to answer for wrongdoing. But they are so sadly mistaken. One day God will bring every hidden act into judgement. The bible promises us that and I can assure u God doesn't lie.(Colossians 3:25)"Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism"
doesnt matter if there is a cover up. He killed the daughter and her boyfriend of the guy on his board. He killed a cop. the wrong done him does not justify his actions. He was a cop, swore to uphold the constitution and the laws and just because they dismiss him doesn't give him the right to kill someone especially people who didn't have anything to do with it. It was her father, not her, not her boyfriend, that was one that he says wronged him. Give all u want to defend him, but you can't be serious. Not only that, when he got trapped and killed the detective at the cabin, really a big mistake. You knew how it was going to end after that happened. Different area, different department and u kill one of their own..no way are you going to walk out of there, you're coming out on a guerney.
What scares me is anyone assuming anything here. We don't know that he shot anyone, he didn't walk up to the car and shoot the cops, they were shot from long range. I don't for a minute believe he's the only trained sniper on the police force, SWAT has snipers, all we have is the assurance of the LAPD that he did this. We don't even know that he wrote the rant/manifesto on FB, anyone can make a page with someone else's photo and pretend to be them and write anything they want.. Anyone remember the 14 year old girl who killed herself because a mom of another girl made a false account of a boy and pretended to like her then called her names and posted lies about her? It's simple all you need is a picture and you're good to go. The only people we are sure shot anyone is the LAPD shooting those two old ladies, without identifying them, without identifying themselves, and without warning or directing them to get out of the vehicle. They completely ignored procedure, doesn't that bother anyone? Really? Hell I can say H.Wilson took a shot at me and it's my word against his. (Just an example, so don't get butthurt). The LAPD said he posted that rant, the LAPD said he shot the cops, the LAPD said he was hunting them, anyone here remember who the LAPD is? They are one of the top 10 most corrupt police forces in the US since the 80's, and they've never been off the list.
I am not saying he is innocent, but I am not saying he is guilty either and fact is we will never know because they put out a shoot to kill and got it done. We'll never know his side and that is wrong.
yes they did. I saw the same broadcast, they shoved him back in and burned him up. these people grievously damaged his life and he took it back to them. say what you want but cops are cowards, and then they ran into this guy and got their Azz handed to them. Like RAMBO punk
nomad4069:
you're right, i'm a liar. It wasn't Kcal 9. It was CBS, channel 2.
Boby-1851312 is the typical fffkng loser.
Try not to get too wrapped up in the race issue. Black law enforcement officers were in the detail that laid siege on the suspect. The great big huge smile and the severe counter violence and even the manifesto points to a particular mental illness. I think he even knew something was wrong with him when he allegedly said he wanted to donate his brain for study after he was dead. The actions are directly associated with the mental illness, and persons arguing logical justifications to condemn or approve of his actions are wasting their time. Mental illness isn't a race specific disease, you lose points if play the race card.
@stopfreeloaders
and your the typical pig that hides behind a badge to do your dirty work and cant handle the truth because it scares you
@Moshuluu, I know the cabin was insured. So don't worry about the cabin. I also know that the police INTENDED to burn him alive. They even made sure to cut the propane to the property so that it wouldn't explode. As anyone who lives in BB knows, propane tanks come standard with those little cabins. I also know that the LAPD and LASD are as corrupt as they come. Dorner was trying to show everyone the wrongs that had been done. They ruined his life. Yeah he snapped. He probably should've used the legal system. But with that said,
Open your eyes. Cops are mired in stories of corruption, drug use, back-dealing, prostitution, brutality, inept police work and MORE because it's true!
I have seen all this stuff first hand. I can vouch for crap like that and so much more, that outsiders will never believe. I still have a hard time dealing with losing my respect for the brotherhood. Make no mistake, that is what keeps all the stories of corruption and illegal activities from reaching the public. Cops protect their own. If you are misfortunate enough to try and throw light on the situation, you will be scorned or fired. (Nope that never happened to me.)
I'm just a truth teller. I don't care that much. But I am not fooled by either agency. I know the rules they play by.
There are still "good" cops though. But it's the exception when it should be the rule!
Now, people...be good sheepies and pretend Dorner was just "crazy". It's easier that way. GN
I should add one of his first kill victims was a Black man. Not quite a statement of a race grievance.
Tough situation all 'round. More evidence that ANYONE can snap, given the right correlation of forces. Not justifying any actions taken, by anyone, at this point.
It is, however, a "teachable moment" for all of us. Politics are in the air, and many will "make hay" of this most recent news.
On the radio this am, Laura Ingraham was calling out Dr. Mark Lamont Hill who said Mr. Dorner was some sort of "Superman" or "Django Unchained" in real life. An audio clip had Dr. Hill, a university professor, stating that this was "kind of exciting" to watch. Dr. Hill had it that this was what many "aggrieved" people should be doing. Unfortunately, Mr. Dorner's victims were co-workers, an Asian female law enforcement officer and a Black gentleman. Did Mr. Dorner's "manifesto" justify any of this killing, or did he just go psycho? If "permanent grievance" encouraged at university Black/Women's/Gender/Ethnic/etc.
Studies departments, then everyone's life, liberty, and property is fair game. If someone has something you don't have, or if you just WANT IT, then you're justified in taking it, by "any means necessary." No laws, no conscience, no physical barriers can stand in the way. [OBTW, This is the mindset of street thugs and HARD CORE SOCIOPATHS.] The problem becomes, what happens when a "permanently aggrieved" person, their ethnicity doesn't matter, comes after YOUR house, YOUR car, YOUR spouse, YOUR son or daughter, YOUR food/water/clothing, etc. Dr. Mark Lamont Hill's PhD won't keep him and his property and his family from becoming fair game.
Last night, Chris Matthews was interviewing a gentleman who was the former police commissioner of both Los Angeles and New York, asking him to help fill in the profile of this Navy war veteran as well as veteran police officer at the center of the case. It was telling that the commissioner ended his profile with the notion that Mr. Dorner, in his own mind, justified killing his fellow law enforcement officers because he was a narcissist and a "grievance accumulator" who added to the chip on his shoulder with any slight, any correction, any interaction that didn't "go his way." Isn't "grievance accumulator" the core description of any Leftist group that needs anger and grievance to mobilize mobs (oops, I mean "occupiers" or "Anonymous" activists)? All well and good until YOU have something somebody else ENVIES. The end result of intentional mobilization of the mob mentality is replacing one set of "evil wealthy white people" with ANOTHER set of "evil wealthy white people" who manipulate the masses by a different brand of MALARKEY. [Can we just dispense with "my justified anger" for something that didn't happen to me rationalizing outright THEFT or MOB VIOLENCE, even in the name of some Glorious Cause??]
Were the San Bernardino Sherriff and other law enforcement justified in their actions? Dunno. Better wait for the full investigation. On the other hand, what else could they have done? It's hard to negotiate with a highly trained, highly armed, highly motivated individual with nothing to lose, and OBTW has already KILLED TWO COPS and is SHOOTING AT YOU. I defy ANYONE to have handled the situation any better or differently.
Teachable moment? Yep. For EVERYONE. How does that 60s song go? "Teach... your children well..."
Some pretty interesting videos on Youtube. Appears the law enforcement knew they hit him because they had identified blood spatters and something about mattresses up against a bed??? Check it out for yourself before it is taken down.
Same point I had with Dorner. He had no authority to mete out any punishment under the law, especially not the death penalty. Dorner was a suspect until a judge and jury convicted him or said otherwise. If he was pushed back in intentionally then there is a problem.
Okay. Here's a logical - and frightening - possible scenario. Dorner was well-trained. He knew that, were he to be located, he would either be killed or sent to prison for the rest of his life and yet he let the couple whose car he took live. Why? He already murdered several others, he would have no qualms about adding two more to his list.
He mocked the LAPD, laughing that they would never catch him. And he had the skills to avoid them, too. But he let himself get cornered in a cabin and burned to death? Burned beyond physical recognition but, curiously, his driver's license survived?
Whoever died in that blaze was not alive when they were burned. There is a very distinct possibility that Dorner let the couple live so that they could, innocently, steer the police in the direction he, Dorner, wanted them to go. Dorner may well have set up the cabin fire, complete with another victim - the body in the fire, to draw the police away from him.
Show me the DNA results before you tell me he has been "positively identified". Until then, I'll still be waiting for the next LAPD cop to get shot.
There was nothing shown on television of Dorner being shoved back in the cabin or beaten.
If he had come outside they would have shot him. The LAPD has its own set of rules. Those who are older and remember the North hollywood bank shoot out should remember the guy who gave up. He was wounded and the medics tried to get to him after he was cuffed. The LAPD grabbed the EMT and told him to get the hell out of there. We watched a man die on camera. Officers came over to him and mocked him while he bled out. I said to my wife, these guys are NUTS. Dont they know people will remember this and refuse to give up. Nothing has changed. Cop killers dont get to surrender. I have a tape of the Assault on Ruby Ridge. When the press was moved back some brave cameramen ran back to the area and filmed the Marshals and FBI loading a 55 gal barrel of fuel oil onto a Helicopter. The Helicopter took off but when they saw the cameramen filming them they didnt drop the fuel oil on the cabin. Years later Randy Weaver won in Court against the Marshals office and FBI for killing his 12 yr old son and wife. Why am I saying all this. Its because if we had county Militia's the Federal government wouldnt get away with this. Look at 9-11. The federal government refused to allow independent investigators and Scientists into the WTC area. The Federal Government is out of control. The sooner you realize this the better for all of us. Its those Americans that bring themselves to get off their a$$es to confirm the truth that would stop these abuses from occurring. No matter how powerful the Federal Government is if they don't have public support they cant get anything done. Remove their rubber stamp of approval. Demand the truth. ALWAYS. From now on we don't take their word for anything.
that's right Teresa, the cops did not leave him a safe way out if he chose not to surrender.
how convenient for all camera crews to be directed to "pull back" and then suddenly the cabin goes up in flames (with absolutely no effort at all to put it out, and then allowed to burn for 16 hours.)
if you don't believe that law enforcement "Waco-ed" Chris Dorner, you have far too much trust in government.
strange how questioning the "official story" automatically gets you labeled as a "conspiracy theorist" no matter how little sense the official story makes.
identified by dental..... they couldn't tell it was his remains by the bullet hole they put between his eyes before they burned the cabin to destroy the evidence?
Okay he's dead, can we move on now?
@liberalsR & KevinL, Exactly. Time for people to stop buying into what they are trying to be sold.
Good riddance, you leftist cop killer, murderer of innocent people and the fathers of young children.
He has only himself to blame for this tragedy. He made his own bed of nails all by himself. His girlfriend rejected him; the L.A. PD rejected him; the U.S. Navy rejected him! Sometimes an ego can get the best of anyone. Pride cometh before a fall - it always has and it always will. Someone once told me, that a moment's anger is never worth a lifetime of sorrow. And in his case, it will be an eternity of sorrow! And that is a long damn time to suffer!
Some people do not deserve life. He was crazy and I feel sorry for those who lost a family member for no reason. To everyone that is saying the police are horrible.... maybe... but until you are in their shoes it is every easy to be an armchair quarterback. I would be more likely to believe that the U.S. military made the man that went crazy before the LAPD. It has been proven that the military isnt giving the help that it should to its soldiers before sending them back into civilization.
Yea in 10 12 years when they find that hes was wronged abd remember that back when we (THE USA)split with the queen there was a few straglers out there getting it all started and this was dorner( A TRUE SOLDIGER ) he was asd there are going to be more if the goverment dont STOP acting like the other dictatiors in the world and give us our god givin freedom back
I'm not suporting his actions ....killing....But for all those who make him a moster .looser etc. remember he once FOUGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM .......you slept well ,while he was alert on frontlines .Al he wanted a little understanding in his life and bread wining place, why couldn't LAPD did not offered him another job (being un exnavy ) instead dumbed him on the streets ,without job and no clearification of his matter ,HOW MANY WE HAVE LIKE THAT ON THE STRETS OF LA ....? How many police officers are filling wrong reports they aren't thrown on the street "SECON CHANCE" people ONCE HE SERVED OUR COUNTRY.I believe that is what made him fliped ,In regards to capitan QUAN ,I believe he will think twice before screwing someone else's life from now on .It is costly to loose your child over your injustice to others .RIP young lady and young man .....
This is another proof how legitimate was his complainT swept under the rug by LAPD;
The former police captain Randal Quan, whose daughter was the first victim of the crime spree, had acted as Dorner’s attorney in 2008. Reportedly he had called the treatment of his client “very, very ugly.” “What’s happening here is this officer is being made a scapegoat,” Quan said at the time.
That's what Dorner had said all along. If Quan stated it was "very, very ugly", then just imagine how Dorner felt losing all he did, and the false reports they put in his files saying "he filed a false report".....Revenge was his motive and he did anything he could to hurt the LAPD "family". Officers have done worse than tell on another officer & still working...such as the cop ON FILM beating Rodney King...he was promoted, the officers who shot at the women passing papers (they were shot from behind) their truck had more than 30 bullet holes in it. They are on PAID leave...they had no clue who was in the truck, just started shooting because they thought they were going to get another "gold star"...if they are that skiddish they don't need to be on ANY police force..The Captain said they "train" for those situations, those officers must have been absent that hour.
Patriot Jane,...I believe that you and I are aligned on many issues. However, I do believe that Patriotism means demanding that authorities and the government act according to the rule of law. This was clearly not the case with the Dorner manhunt. There are two women who were shot that can attest to that. Freedom must have inherent risk or it isn't freedom. I would rather risk Dorner's madness than to ever wonder if the police could take away my personal liberties and due process. We like the movie ending where the bad guy gets what he deserves...but the fact is that unless someone can convince me why the fire department that was waiting to put out the fire wasn't allowed, this smells of institutional murder. Even if he deserved it, the Constitution says he gets due process. With so many non-lethal methods at their disposal, why didn't the police make a greater attempt to bring him in alive?
Dorner committed suicide by cop.
Another left wing nut, gone. For the left this killer is a hero, because he praise the left media and people like Chris Mattews who call him an smart guy.
Chrs Mattews...“Someone who had great media-savvy, who knew — who had the brains to keep track of Hollywood, to keep up with Charlie Sheen, to establish relationships with people through the media, to, in some strange way, enjoy his situation and at the same time wreak havoc on anyone he came in contact to.”
, Columbia University Professor Marc Lamont Hill upheld alleged cop-killer Christopher Dorner as a "superhero" and as a "modern day Jango. This is the same university that welcome Mohamud Ajmadenijhad the Iranian leader
This is your hero left wingers.
Another ignorant Low Information Voter ( Obama Voter) making comments.
Actually he is your guy, he make the NRA responsable for the masas murder in Sandy Hook
I just don't get many attitudes here. I agree that it is possible that Dorner was wronged in his dismissal and that the LAPD is at fault there but Dorner's violent reaction is separately wrong. I can respect someone who fights the system legally, through media but not with violence. When it was reported that he came out of the cabin but was pushed back in I did not get the impression that they meant a police officer physically pushed him back in. I interpretted that to mean that their presence pushed him back in. Or who knows he could have been shooting his way out, they shot back which made him go back inside. I don't understand why so many seem to be more concerned about how he died vs how all of those he killed died and those he had in fear for their lives. I only wish law enforcement could have stopped him before he killed as many as he did.
DivCh ,
EVERYONE has a snapping point...he didn't just go off and start killing people for no reason...it was in response to them ruining his life/career and slandering his name...ask yourself this, why would he "make up" a story about a fellow officer kicking a suspect who is already cuffed? i mean why would an officer say that about another officer if it wasn't true KNOWING he is going to be looked at as a snitch for crossing the "blue line" unless it was true? what if someone maliciously ruined your life, slandered your name, and made you lose everything? would you go "cry to Mommy or Daddy"? he tried all legal avenues to clear his name and nothing worked because our legal system is full of crooked people who watch eachother's backs...i do not condone what Dorner did, but i do UNDERSTAND why he did it...oh and by the way for the poster who said he killed children that was a mis-statement...i would hardly call 30 yrs old a child...let's stick to the facts and ALL the facts...if you ONLY state the facts of what he did then yes it's terrible...but if you state ALL the facts and look at WHY he did it...what the LAPD did to him to make him snap...then it does change the outlook a little bit...and once again what he did was absolutely WRONG...especially killing innocent family members...but i UNDERSTAND why he snapped
Does the name "Jesus" ring a bell?
Two wrongs don't make a right.
We are all responsible for our own behavior. If our society disintegrates to the point of accepting murder as a valid form of redress for our grievances, we are truly lost.
There is no justification for what Dorner did, no matter how wronged he might have been.
the justification dorner had, was he was trying to make the world a better place for the rest of us who wouldnt stand a chance to make changes for the better. i hope he at least made a mark and the system will be revised a little. what a stand up man, a hero, to attempt to protect the weak. just because he got ran over by "mob" force does not mean he was wrong. one man can make a difference. but we must continue what he started.... ok im not saying go kill the rest of the people on his list, but this railroading over peoples rights by mass mob or being out voted is just wrong. it should be good wins over evil..... apparently there isnt an even amount of good in the system. that needs to be changed.
That reminds me of what Timothy McVeigh had in mind when he blew up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. It is clearly an insane mindset.
You don't make progress by going on a rampage with a gun.
Watch and see if Dorner's actions bring about any positive changes in the LAPD.
In the meantime, keep your guns unloaded and locked up... for your own safety. If you become angry or paranoid, go straight to the hospital.

is Jesus going to stop the curruption in the LAPD...ummmm NO...they have become an organization with no checks and balances because they all cover for eachother...they don't cross the "blue line"...when a situation like that occurs it takes something drastic to bring about change...we use to have slaves in this country until the North invaded the South and killed people...why don't you take your Bible and walk into the LAPD and kindly ask all the crooked officers to turn themselves in...tell'em Jesus said they have to...see how many come forward
Pinzina, Good attempt to interpret the report. I haven't seen the video and probably won't search for it. News clips show him pinned down pretty good. In other words, he tried to escape or "blaze of glory" last stand, and retreated back into the cabin in the face of superior firepower. Your statement sounds sensible but the actual facts I'm sure will be released soon under Freedom of Information. The level of force would have been justified by his prior criminal acts based on probable cause and reasonable suspicion and the fact that he returned or fired first on arresting officers rather than surrender.
all those currupt cops who drove him to snap by railroading him out of his career when he was just trying to do the right thing should also be put in a cabin and burned up
I was pretty sure it wasn't Bigfoot
Dorner had it out for the LAPD. So, he:
Murdered a young engaged couple (not LAPD)
Murdered a Riverside cop with a ten-year-old son and four-year-old daughter (not LAPD)
Murdered a San Bernadino cop with a seven-year-old daughter and FOUR-MONTH-OLD son (not LAPD)
Dorner was a complete loser. He killed innocent people and is a hero to NO ONE.
Thank you to LA-area law enforcement for taking this creep out.
This guy was an officer in the Navy too. What a way to bring disgrace to a branch of service made up of thousands of dedicated Americans.
The guy was a gun owner. What a way to bring disgrace to all the thousands of responsible gun owners. Doesn't it also become crystal clear that here was a guy who had all the "right" credentials to possess a firearm legally and what happens when said person goes crazy on you. No amount of legislation would have prevented this and it will happen again because criminals and crazies don't care about the law. Had he come to your front door, would you rather have a gun or not?
That's right, 2cents... but all responsible gun owners ought to think about the consequences of exposing themselves and their families to the deadly violence guns can introduce into their lives.
Keep the Second Amendment. Allow responsible adults to have guns. But make those people aware that ANYONE can snap. ANYONE can become angry or careless. ANYONE can become suicidally depressed.
Mental illness is far more common than we like to admit. No one is perfectly mentally healthy at every point in their life, just as no one is always in perfect physical health.
Gun ownership should be a choice made with that clearly in mind.
kaybeetoys ,
i'm getting the impression you probably live in a quiet little suburb with a low crime rate where the worse thing a cop does is pass out speeding tickets to people for less then 5 mph over the speed limit...it really doesn't sound like you've experienced the real cruel world...well in the real world you can't just pray all the bad things away...WAKE UP!
kaybeetoys
I'm sure they have - thats why many own a gun in the first place.
Which is exactly my point - No amount of gun legislation will prevent crazy, irrational behavior. To place the blame and further restictions on the gun (which have a proven track record of being ineffective) is treating the symptom and not the cause. Why is that beyond the comprehension and understanding of so many?
inb4 leftist/right wing comments and conspiracies.
I am just glad this has reached its end.
Has it? We'll see.
Same Bat Time, thewordsmith... Same Bat Channel.
I agree. Found an interesting blog about this subject...he expects conspiracy theories to come from both sides and contends that they are a distraction from Sandy Hook controversies. Also there is an odd parallel to so many ex-military, lone wolf killers.
www.outsidethegarden.blogspot.com
Those of you that don't like the LAPD, or police in general must remember that he was one of them.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Justice is done.
Officer/Lt. Dorner died for a just cause called "injustice in america".....he and other people payed for it with there lives......he is a martyer......now.........love it or hate it.......just facts.....
LOL freedom...whatcha smokin....and just the facts.....
Absolutely Triumph! And to freedom (or is it "Jock"?) supporter--I love it--I love the fact that an insane, cold-blooded mindless murderer was put down--just as he deserved!! Good job!!
freedom supporter my ass, sounds more likea Nugent wanna- be to me
The police did the right thing and saved us all from a long expensive trial. The grieving families can now get some sense of closure and he will never again be a threat to society. The last thing we need is another Mumia sitting in prison being adored by the left wing wackos.
Wow the police did the "right thing?" Did you ever hear about the constitutional right to trial by jury of peers? How about innocent until proven guilty? Did the police do the "right thing" when they shot up vehicles that didn't even belong to Dorner and injured two innocent ladies?
If the LAPD did the right thing, this situation would not have happened in the first place.
Yeah, they nailed him and no trial, no cost. Too bad so many more instances are not dealt that way. Maybe cops are getting fed up with guilty ones either walking or taking a lifetime to execute that they just do the job and no more problem. They know the criminals, they just can't get enough on them to put them away...even with the latest like the theatre killings, too bad he came out alive.
@MmmMmmBeer....constitutional rights you say??? Now...what on earth could have Dorner been THINKIN when he executed the young woman and her fiance - you know....shot them in the head? YES! He was thinking ONLY of constitutional rights...... Get real.
Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he murdered those two young people? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he murdered the Riverside police officer? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he shot the second Riverside officer eleven (11) times? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he murdered the SB deputy? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he tied up the two ladies who happened to catch him in the house he broke into? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he filled the Park Ranger's truck full of bullet? Did Dorner do the "right thing" when he stole the last guy's truck?
Mmm....neither you nor I know WHAT the "right thing" is do we? Easy answer?? Neither you nor I have the facts. Plain and simple. We have the 16 page manifesto of a seriously derranged ex-miitary, ex-policeman. What we have is four (4) dead individuals. Murdered. In cold blood. We have shot and injured people - all requiring surgery. We have a burned down house, a burn out car, stolen property, etc. etc. etc.
Go ahead....come up with 'allegedly' murdered, burned, shot, stole. THAT works both ways....this whackjob murderer 'allegedly' was treated unfairly by the LAPD. Allegedly works both ways JUST like constitutional rights.
One question surely has crossed your mind.....wonder if he told those two young people it was his constitutional right to execute them....just before he shot each one of them in the head.
Shoot....if Dorner did the right thing....he wouldn't be dead now would he MmmMmmBeer.... Get real - Seriously. Listen to yourself....
@Terry, yes you are right. Cops should be able to burn people alive w/o the benefit of a trial or being judged by their peers. They should "nail" more people like that...Cops should be judge, jury and executioners all in one! What a grand idea!
Terry, the village called. They want their idiot back.
Run along now. Please, close your mouth. You're drooling again.
@DemonSeed...you are correct...Dorner was judge, jury and executioner all in one! What a grand idea!
DemonSeed, lend Terry the map to the village....you both have been reported missing.
Rocket Dog, put that Rocket away and get off my leg. Btw, go fetch some brains while you are sniffing my ass...
Seems to me he PROVED his point , with much help from the L.A.P.d. and the San berdino sheriff.
Shoot Demon - gotta fetch somethin....no brains on your end....LOL.....
Dog, that comeback sucked. But good try, ol'boy...good try! Here's a treat! *tosses cookie* Good dog!
I have to agree with Demon Seed. Freedom is costly and dangerous. I would much rather risk Dorners madness than to have to live under the threat of a police force that shoots (or incinerates) first and ask questions later. Two women were shot because of that attitude, though they clearly could be mistaken for the huge Dorner. Without the rule of law to fetter them, the police become no different than the outlaw TSA gestapo. It is time to demilitarize the police forces and put defense back in the hands of the people. Don't think for a minute this incident won't exploited by the left as they did Sandy Hook to take guns out of the hands of people.
Interesting blog on this matter....don't know if I agree completely but it is something to think about.
www.outsidethegarden.blogspot.com
You don't have the right to a fair trial if you don't surrender. If you keep shooting, evading and threatening you forfeit your right to a judge and jury of your peers. He made the choice and from his manifesto it was known what his choice would be from the start. People need to stop whining for him.
Too many unanswered questions. No one will ever be satisfied with those answers they receive. Let the arguing begin.
And the lawsuits, accompanyed by all the lies and cover ups that are upcoming by San BURNADINO SO and the lapd.
I agree with you Brian Ray, they just burned him to death, this is how LAPD always been, corrupted and racist. I hear this from all kind of people.
You hear it, because it's true.
I disagree with you because they are not racist. All jobs are corrupt in sort of a way like teachers, laywers, and babysitters. There are bad teachers, laywers, and babysitters. Their is not one job that has all good employees. I could be wrong about that. There are lot of jobs that are racist. LAPD is not one them and you should be grateful that they are protecting us. I also don't believe you that they burned him to death. If he didnt start this killing spree this would have never happened. Its not LAPD's falut it's Christopher Dorner's fault. I dont care if LAPD is corrupt he has no right to kill people. So that's what I think about that.
Dorner may well be innocent of the charges of filing a false report that led to his being fired. It is almost unarguable that he is guilty of the murder of five people. Being dismissed from one's job unjustly is certainly cause for anger and resentment. But if everybody in a similar situation followed Dorner's game plan, the country would be in greater chaos than it already is. There are better routes to justice than premeditated homicide.
Consider Michelle Washington. The Delaware therapist for the VA hospital was charged with the intake of returning vets with PTSD symptomology. She was so concerned over delays in treatment of returning vets with PTSD that she complained to her bosses about the situation. Receiving no response to her complaints and having no action taken to improve the situation, she took her concerns to Capital Hill. She testified in front of Congress. Subsequently, she was dismissed with claims that she failed to properly utilize her supervisory resources - those same resources who ignored her initial concerns. Did Ms. Washington go out and start shooting up the VA hospital? Of course not. She took her dismissal to a "higher court". She filed a grievance against the VA. Ms. Washington's job was, essentially, reinstated but the majority of her duties were not. In fact, Michelle Washington is no longer assigned any duties relating to PTSD vets in any way. But she didn't stop her fight there.
She is still fighting the case and has filed suit against the VA. That was picked up by the media and was soon disseminated across tv stations and internet sources - global exposure.
Now, it might have been just as easy... easier, even... for her to grab a gun and start shooting up the VA hospital. Instead, she took the high road, held onto her integrity and dignity and chose a saner route to justice. She is now being joined in her lawsuit by other medical practitioners employed by the VA who bucked the system and lost their jobs. The VA is now the entity in the hot seat and their crimes against veterans are being exposed on a much larger stage than they could have imagined when they unjustly fired one woman for standing up for what was right and fighting for the vets. (And I would encourage everyone to write to the VA in support of Michelle Washington and others like her.)
Chris Dorner had bigger issues than being fired unjustly. Perhaps he was one of those suffering PTSD who someone like Michelle Washington could have helped. In all likelihood, Dorner was innocent of the charges that led to his dismissal. People don't generally write personal letters to parties unrelated to a matter, pleading their innocence, if they are guilty. He even sent what his proof of his innocence which, unfortunately, Nunez turned over to the LAPD, violating Dorner's trust in him! I only hope he made a backup copy.
Apparently Chris Dorner, like Michelle Washington, went to his supervisors with concerns over mishandled case(s). It is possible - probable - that people within the department, people with more seniority and power than Dorner, were guilty of crimes which would have been revealed had Dorner's complaints come to light. Rather than acting against people in higher positions of power and authority, the ptb chose to take the path of least resistance (or so they thought) and get rid of the flea rather than cleaning the dog.
This in no way excuses Dorner's actions in the aftermath. What he did was 100% wrong. What the department did was wrong. As the old saying goes, "Two wrongs don't make a right" (but three lefts do!) Like New York, Chicago, Washington, and Mexico, LA has a problem with crooks in control of authority. Obviously a thorough 'house cleaning' is in order. Perhaps this is just the catalyst needed to force LAPDs dirty laundry into the open air. Perhaps that was Dorner's plan all along. Sadly, he chose the wrong way to expose the problems and made himself the problem instead of the solution.
the police were the judge jury and executioners that day. they trapped him in and burned him alive. there were no heroes at all in this. they should all be ashamed. listen to the scanner chat by the police. ftp.
Scanner, at 45 seconds cops saying "burn this motherHucker!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po9EaU7ZjxI&feature=player_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0X-WoiJhVY8
Thank you moshuluu..
He made that choice himself Brian and there is NO ONE else to blame unless you are just another race bating SOB???
Seems to me you're the race bating SOB. I don't see where anyone referred to race.
IF, you were impartial you'd see from the audio's they seem to have no intention but to burn, with him inside. Regardless what he did, you would THINK cops would want to talk to one of theirs, find out what went wrong, but not this cop, he undoubtedly had too much on the @!$%#s that run LAPD.
Are you part of them?
No I'm just another american who knows it still exists today. Nothing angers me more that a racist person in 2013. Its funny how every time I make a good point some retard fires back at me with profanity.. Your true colors show brighter than ever.. You should be ashamed also..
Oh, he was black; he was obviously framed. Nope, pay no attention to the innocent people he killed. If he were white, all you boneheads defending him would be more than pleased.
Glad the burned the motherHucker. As far as judge, jury, executioner, that sounds like Obama and the firing of drones now doesn't it? Bet that alright with you guys though!
What's to be ashamed of? He doubtless would have killed as many cops as possible before going down in flames. Saved a ton of money in court-appointed attorneys, judicial fees and incarceration fees. Lawyers are bummed, no trial, no publicity, no book deal, no movie.
wasn't a good point..he could have sat down in the middle of the street anywhere in America with his hands above his head and they would have taken him alive.
No drones on american soil! That's cheating..lol Screw gun control also.. End racial hate... Hire true and honest cops.. thats all I want.
I couldn't agree more. Now it's time for the media to concentrate on Dorner's manifesto and investigate the allegations against the LAPD, and I am not interested in any bull @!$%# internal affairs investigation report. The LAPD has been corrupt and covered up officers mis-conduct for decades. Dorner wasn't justified in killing anyone, but I think he started out wanting to do good and help the community but when the reality of what was going on in the LAPD, and his inability to get justice following the proper channels hit him, he lost it. I feel for the families of the officers that were killed, but LAPD need to answer some questions!!!
I was under the impression he killed himself soon after the fire started.
I am pretty sure the victims (Police and families) were innocent. He killed at random because of a grudge!
Brian,
Maybe you would have liked to have been the first one through the door to bring him out.
dkj, the questions have already been answered in is 2 appeals in court. After reading the testimony of Dorner and others involved you will see he wasn't the corruption fighting hero a lot of people think he was from just reading his self serving manifesto.
He was a head case and failing as a probationary officer for LAPD plain and simple. He couldn't take being a failure.
they didn'y burn him alive .. if you can read the earlier reports when they were pulling down the walls there was 1 single gun shot. sheesh .. what about the innocents he killed ? the couple .. the ambushes .. he made his bed now he got to sleep in it ..
What do we expect from america's most chinken crap PD LA and San BURNADINO SO. they didn't have the balls to wait it out. He took the high road.......which was more honorable........ In the eyes of God they made him a martyer for a cause.....INJUSTICE in america......
Brian, then you need to do away with quota hiring and hire the best people. When you skip over more better qualified people so you can fill the diversity quotas you get less desirable people.
freedom supporter, your comments are truely ones made by someone with no knowledge or experience in such things. Wait it out until night so he has a better chance to slip away? Wait it out until he has a chance to kill another officer?
Your comments are typical of a couch critic.
freedomsupporter-He took the high road??? You don't kill innocent people and family members-fire was just the beginning of judgement day for him and all those who riot and kill and destroy their own neighborhoods.
Just like people looting after Hurricane Katrina. Some people have no morals
I am against what Chris Dorner did before he got killed, but he shouldn't be burned to death by our police.
Everyone KNEW it HAD to be Dorner....I'm glad he's dead....he MURDERED 4 innocent people...INCLUDING TWO COPS!!!! when he burned up...which the POLICE SAID THEY DIDN'T INTENTIONALLY BURN THAT CABIN(BRIAN RAY....LISTEN TO THE FACTS MORON) so Dorner got a sneak preview of the place he's headed now that he's gone! HELL!!!!I'm glad Dorner's dead...he deserved it!
I call BS on the fire...They KNEW it was going to be started, and they wanted the SOB to burn...I don't condone Dorner's actions, but the LAPD had a lot more time to do this without burning him out.
Like, after another one of their own was shot and killed, oh wait that happened on Tuesday. I'm still thinking this guy burned the cabin himself (suicide), but I wouldn't put it past the LAPD if they did. I wouldn't blame em either. This guy was a monster.
I still hope IA does look into the brutalization case he was fired over though. It seems like Dorner was definitely fired to cover up beating a homeless man.
Also, the two idiot cops who shot up the newspaper women's truck need to be brought up on charges too....
Phew, what a mess. Hopefully everyone can start picking up the pieces now.
BAARRRRNNNNNNNNNNKKKKK! Goes the buzzer try again:
"SWAT officers in the cabin standoff with murder suspect Christopher Dorner decided to use highly FLAMMABLE "hot gas" canisters as a last resort after other efforts to persuade Dorner to surrender failed, according to law enforcement sources."
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/02/dorner-manhunt-hot-gas-that-burned-cabin-was-last-resort.html
They premeditatively tossed in incendiaries. And the motive was clear from the overheard radio chatter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE4wF5lTZSQ
Listen to the radio chat you moron. the police planned to burn him inside. they called it "the burn plan". you also hear police shouting "burn that mf-er down" And lets not forget that the police shot 3 innocent people while searching for dorner. ( 47 yr old maggie carrannza and her 71 year old mother emma hernandez among them ) they were delivering newspapers and were "mistaken for a large black guy" (lol) emma is still in ICU. this gangmembers (police) are monsters who will lie, kill, and hide facts for each other.. the same code of silence dorner was man enough to break, which led to these events. Furthermore it was the people who dorner tied up that "actually" found him.. Why didnt he kill them? or the guy in the truck and his dog?? I know why.. Cause he was not crazy and he died to change the racist cycle police thrive in..
Yes, and why did OJ get away with killing two white people? Ohh, right...double standards and pressure from the racists.
Dorner killed 4 people. You idiots are defending him?
Thank you for posting the audios MOSHULUU.....
Brian Ray Dok Holiday why are you bringing up racism and he died to change that and it was everyone's fault but this guys he decided to go on a shooting spree he choose to do this, we all have problems and run ins with others but we don't choose to go around shooting people he shot family members of cops no one was ordered to kill him before he started his shooting spree and if he was white the cops would of handled it the same way cops don't like it when other cops are shot and killed no matter who it is as far as I'm concerned this guy had plenty of time to turn himself in he chose to hide out and when he was found he chose to continue shooting I read he started the fire and then shot himself using race here is just another excuse.
Flashbangs start fires all the @!$%#ing time- it's certainly nothing new. Smoke can do pretty much the same thing. I'm not sure who the dip@!$%# was who came up with the term "FLAMMABLE HOT GAS" cannisters, that's certainly a new one. The press never ceases to amaze me at this stage in the game. Nothing is "premeditated", it's called SOP, pretty much any team throughout the states employs flashbangs/smoke. What's interesting is dip@!$%# actually stayed inside for the entire thing apparently, probably OD'd on Ex-Lax or something. I also caught wind of a Sasquatch sighting report that very same day in that area as well, Dorner may have been cornholed as well. Dr. David Ramsey is examining his recovered rectum as we speak. Film at 11.......................
LOL....I know I was leaving, but the ignorance, including yours, is just so overwhelming it's hard not to answer you idiots.
You did say OJ? And you cry all types of bitches when people tell YOU how Bush @!$%#ed up this country with his two illegal wars, you cry...."oh, that's in the past!!" LOL!!!!!
You're welcome. They are all over the internet, I think the cops thought by switching channels they could keep their secrets to themselves, but seems some TV stations know how to switch channels too.
Here's one for all you MFr's to choke down!!! Had it been me he came across and asked for my truck..[ I would have driven him to the Canadian border... See ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moshuluu & Mr LightRail - Get your facts straight. LAPD had nothing t do with the Big Bear stand off. It was San Bernardino SO that was involved.
Same with Dok Holiday. You twist facts without knowing what your harping about. The two delivering newspapers were "not mistake for a large black guy" as you put it, but because they were in a vehicle that matched Dorner's vehicle description and when they drove up to a protected officers residence, they were unfortunately fired upon. No excuses for this action by those officers, but stop with the racial BS. You obviously don't know squat about this incident or wouldn't be touting how picked on poor ol' misunderstood Dorner was. He friggin cold bloody killed a young woman and her fiancee, both who had not a damn thing to do with his so called vendetta.
Eat crap flemming......He died a martyer........because of racist crap heads like you.....it is not over yet....the law suits haven't begun yet.......There is NO REWARDs either for all the gold digger out there trying to make a dollar on a dead man....
Flem your are another POS agent, go hide behind your mom, badge, gun or what ever......
Look, I gotta go, but the ignorance keeps dragging me back. Find in one of my posts where I said "LAPD?"
"Blue Code of Silence," Blue Shield, Blue Wall, Curtain, Veil, or Cocoon," or whatever you want to call it, is alive and well throughout LE across America. It's the code of a cop, that whom-so-ever shall kill a cop, shall be killed by a cop. It's amazing you don't know that.
Wrong AGAIN. Those ladies truck was nothing like Dorner's truck. They were driving a light blue Toyota Tacoma, Dorner's truck was DARK Gray, and a Nissan Titan. Cops are SUPPOSED to be trained on vehicle descriptions, these idiots couldnt' tell the difference between a blue tacoma, and a gray titan.
Margie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, this is their BLUE Tacoma!!!

Look at these two cops...seems funny to them!

^ Does that look like a gray Nissan Titan? No, it doesn't!
100 rounds fired at her truck!!

I hope this is publicized more than just this board. I hope it sends a statement to gangs, drug people and thrill seeker killers that you're not walking out that you will burn some and the only way to make it quit is a bullet to the head.
Sorry people, Mosh is right. The cops wanted to burn him alive. They wanted a crispy critter. It's called, "cop justice". They get tunnel vision and just want to put him down. The adrenaline takes over and all you can feel is the need to finish the prey before he finishes you.
They fired on that truck with the women inside because they know that they CAN get away with it. They wanted to kill him ASAP.
They WILL get away with it! Now, watch what happens within the next few days. Who will answer for what the cops did? Everyone knows the answer already.
They probably don't want riots so it will be smooth sailing for a while.
With all the arrogant talk it looks like we have a bunch brave southern Cal cops on this vine now that Doner is dead. Three days ago they were pissing their pants at every sound and shooting at everything that moved.
Guys, the only color discrimination here is blue. Police departments do not keep a close enough control over officers. They develop an "us vs. them" mentality which begins to dictate that anything is okay as long as we get them. And, until departments begin requiring annual psych examinations of officers in addition to incident psych interviews and firing range qualifying, we will always have problems with people carrying guns and badges who should not be. And, until then, police departments across the country will always be a closed "good ole boys' club".
Ellis - pretty sure we have a bunch of jackass 15 year olds on here who are desperate for f@#$ role models that they're idolizing a serial killer. Look, if he had actually just gone after the people he thought burned him, that would be bad enough. But executing innocents in cold blood. This motherf#@$ deserved to burn. The assh@#$ on the board supporting him, let's just hope one of your relatives is killed in cold blood for no reason. See if you feel like chanting the praises of them then. Stupid freaking culture we have here.
Actually they probably were trying to flush him out so they could shoot him directly. Burning him was likely the secondary scenario, but effective.
The man got what he asked for. Sad for all the lives lost and families left behind to deal with the mess for the rest of their lives. Thank goodness this was stopped before more lives were lost.
Saved us the cost of housing him and trying him...
I think he committed suicide once the fire started. Remember, there was a report of one shot, then nothing....Should hear within a couple of days whether that was the case.
Yes, one shot was heard. It was him wanting to die before he burned.
He had plenty of chance to leave unharmed. He made his bed.
Sounds like "suicide by police" and his description of going out in a "blaze of glory..."
Gotta ask if mental health issues distorted his worldview. Once Schizophrenia starts taking over, all bets are off.
Actually joe, not to defend Dorner in any way, he did not really have the option to surrender. The California Sherrif issue a "shoot to kill" order. He was not getting off that mountain alive.
I am so sick of people complaining about what the police did. He could have walked out of the cabin anytime. If he had tossed the guns out and surrended he would be alive today. He murdered four people in cold blood. If it had been someone you cared about you would be singing a different tune.
No, they would have shot him the instant they saw him. There was no way out for him. Dorner shot and killed a cop. It's ok to shoot civilians just because they drive a similar vehicle, but Dorner would have no chance..Too much revenge at stake...
Uh no not really Mr Conspiracy. He wouldn't be gunned down on live television. He could have gave himself up at any time within the HOURS during the standoff.
Who are you people kidding? No matter what, the cops were going to kill him. To think any different would be to not know how the LAPD & LASD (mountains belongs to LASD) operate.
It is a known fact. That to kill a cop is a death sentence. Cops if they can get away with it, will dole out their justice and it will be covered up. Those who think this would've ended up any other way are not familiar with law enforcement in CA.
Discuss & Joe
"He could have thrown out his guns and walked out at anytime ?"...Really.........You are delusional my friends, if the cops were giving Doner that option why did they not try talking him out, or offer an opportunity to surrender to the two women in the Toyota before six cops put more than 20 rounds into it.
There was never a mission to apprehend, just orders to kill on sight
Rocket Dog
Too many unanswered questions. No one will ever be satisfied with those answers they receive. Let the arguing begin.
yeah why don't we all JUST PICK UP A GUN AND START shooting each other like THERE'S NO F ING TOMRROW u people and the political people MAKES ME SICK IM DISGUST and i live in this united states of american and IM PISSED IM FRUSTRATED BECAUSE NONE OF U F KERS don't want to FIX THE PROBLEM U JUST WANT TO KEEP ON FIGHTING ..well then F it HEY KIM JON UN nuke the hell of us WE F ING DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE

@ rbjk017s - am with you.
@Tracy - you need to chill. Apparently, you have misunderstood what I wrote. Am addresses Dorner's madness. Wow....perhaps part of the solution instead of being the problem??
Tracy, ease up on the Monster Energy drinks. That @!$%# will kill ya.
and futher more how lovely that the article is that f ing short f the news media they can suck my d
REALLY...I was convinced it was ET or Big Foot! (sarcasm)
Thank God you wrote 'sarcasm.'
Brian....you are wrong!.....This man THREATENED to KILL all LAW ENFORCEMENT personnel that had SOMETHING to do with his DISMISSAL from the POLICE FORCE. In addition to that....HE KILLED four INNOCENT individuals WHO HAD NOTHING to do with his DISMISSAL from the FORCE.
If I were DORNER.......I NEVER would have FELT like I LOST something....by being DISMISSED from the LAPD. He was a COLLEGE GRADUATE, had a good RECORD with the U.S. NAVY......after he received his HONORABLE DISCHARGE PAPERS. .........He had a LOT going for him.
He was just a CRY-BABY......who was rather USED to getting what he wants...and he was WILLING to KILL to get his wishes...and he PREFFERED to kill INNOCENT people, rather than going through the SYSTEM.....like all of us would have done.
DORNER......chose his FATE......he DID IT all to himself......and no one else HELPED him GO TO HELL. We all have CHOICES in life...and his CHOICE.....was HELL!!
Ralph, he did go through the system but to him, the system F-ed him over.
the "system" fu*8s everyone over..welcome to the club..I'm the president.you can be the treasurer.
Next on the agenda....."NOT going out to kill everyone who has done us wrong"
@Ralph
" If I were DORNER.......I NEVER would have FELT like I LOST something....by being DISMISSED from the LAPD. He was a COLLEGE GRADUATE, had a good RECORD with the U.S. NAVY......after he received his HONORABLE DISCHARGE PAPERS. .........He had a LOT going for him."
You are correct on this point. these poilce/ex soldier types are military minded though, The guy snapped and killed his chosen ememies. How many innocent people have been killed / profiled/ abused by the LAPD for decades? This was not a random nut on a war path. He was trained to love this county and honor truth justice and liberty. You know as well as everyone that racism thrives in military / police forces . its outright acceptable im some peoples eyes. He was betrayed by the very people who are to serve and protect. He saw the filth behind the shield and was disgusted. meanwhile you have kids shooting up schools for nothing.. He had a reason. called it a "lesser evil" and made a choice. they did not want to bring this man to JUSTICE, as he has been clearly stating " the police LAPD have no care for JUSTICE. He would of been killed regardless.
Dok Holiday, you are right. There's a lot more going on than what is publically known. I'm sure you'd agree, all people, regardless of ethnicity, are capable of hate. Not limited to those wearing uniforms, or any given background.
Horror stories coming out of the LAPD and the NYPD are the stuff of 60 Minutes and other media outlets.
All cops are not thugs, but when it comes to street dominance, the line from the Seargeant giving the morning shift brief on the old TV show Hill Street Blues comes to mind: "Remember, Do it to them before they do it to you..." If you want to live, DON'T kill a cop.
Not justifying it, just acknowledging reality.
Sounds like Dorner's dismissal from the Naval Reserves as well as from the LAPD was evidence of his life unraveling. Who really knows what was stalking Mr. Dorner. Once Schizophrenia starts ruling your world, all bets are off.
Obviously, very sad for all concerned.
Brian, i notice in the above posts that you one minute claim your not playing the race card in this issue. Then the next minute your posting this garbage
"You know as well as everyone that racism thrives in military / police forces . its outright acceptable im some peoples eyes. He was betrayed by the very people who are to serve and protect. He saw the filth behind the shield and was disgusted. meanwhile you have kids shooting up schools for nothing.. He had a reason. called it a "lesser evil" and made a choice".
Seems like you are condoning murder and violence and saying that combating racism is good "reason" to commit murder and violence. Maybe the police should be investigating you!! I find it sick that MSN is allowing your posts. You also stated in another post he died to change the racist cycle we live in. If I were on here saying that affirmative action is racist and if it continues than violence is the only answer I am sure my posts would be removed right? Its so sad that white guilt in this country has become so common that an all out war on white people is perfectly acceptable and white folks wont even stand up to it anymore. Kinda like how Jamie Fox can brag on prime time about killing all the white people on SNL and say how great it was and gets an applause!?!?! Just sad
@russell Not condoning murder! Stop the madness! In this PARTICULAR issue, Some of the choices he made, and reasons why could be justified to a certain level. Shooting the daughter and other guy was bad.. (maybe he wanted her cop father to feel the pain of so many ) Its easy to sit in your cozy house and judge all day. He took it to the next level. So agreed some don't.. live with it..
I would never condone violence or the killing of innocent people. He wanted to be a police officer and serve in the military and for the greater part of his life he harmed no one. I wish we knew why he thought this was the answer. Clearly disturbed but why?
Read the manifesto. It tells you why.
@Ray, you are right....read the manifesto.....sadly, Mr. Dorner had serious mental health issues.
GOOD that this story is capped. He's had waaaay too much publicity already... probably fed on it.
SB Sheriffs Dept was viligante justice and a lynch mob. They are no better than Dorner. What they did was a black eye for all law enforcement. Their fellow officer will be long forgotten in the investigation as to they failure to conduct this by proper procedure. Heads will and should roll. Rogue justice is not the answer especially when dealt by badge. SB Sheriffs Dept is the laughing stock of law enforcement. The audio tapes will be their demise. What they have done is tarnish all good cops that follow procedure. Viligante justice never prevails.
Those audio tapes will be used to train future officers. SB sheriffs did nothing wrong. Dorner had choices... They gave him plenty of opportunities to come out. The even asked him politely to do just that. He could have come out... He could have burned... or he could have eaten a bullet. He chose to eat a bullet and then burn. He was the bad guy not the police. Somehow I doubt any of these people leaving comments have even been to LA or So Cal. Dorner took his grudge and killed innocent people. He never even killed an LAPD officer. He was on his way to hurt another LAPD officer's child, got caught and started shooting in Corona. Then drove down the freeway 10 miles or so (thinking he could get away) ran into 2 officers in my beloved town and shot them in the face. They had no idea what happened. They were never involved in his grudge, and weren't even looking for him. RPD has nothing to do with LAPD. Officer Craine was a wonderful man and police officer. He never deserved it. Either did the SB sheriff that was killed. Again all he was doing was trying to arrest a dangerous man spraying bullets and killing innocent people. Dorner was given the same God given free will as the rest of us. He made terrible choices that should never be glorified. He is a murderer. No matter what happened to him in the LAPD unless they shot and killed his sister, daughter, brother, son or father could ever be justified by what he did. The only justice that happened in all of this is when he chose to die.
San Bernardino sheriffs are one of the worst. I've lived there and they get the bottom of the barrel law enforcement officers.
@TxPatrick. He did not vote for Obama, he was for Huntsman.
Thank you Ray Henry!
TxPatrick is just another one who see's black & then automatically assumes, "Obama supporter" and then TxPatrick's little croney rbjk0174s who thinks he has all race issue's figured out, chimes in with his ignorant rants as well.
I knew it was a matter of time that this story would turn to a race issue. It's America of course it's going to turn into a race issue, even when it never was. Yes Dorner hit on "some" issue's of racism in his manifesto but it wasn't even close to be a large part of his problem with the LAPD.
Dorner's actions were wrong plane & simple, he appeared to have a good clean Military record, was a college grad & should have just moved on. I don't see why he took getting fired from the LAPD so harshly but I guess we'll never know or should be care?
But this message board routinely & consistently proves one thing. Closet racism is alive & well in this country, carried around by cowards who speak a big game like rbjk on the internet. You & tex are a joke.
They took him out.
Good for the LAPD.
Now we all can live in peace.
Roger your are a straight up dickhead. big man with a keyboard.
Congrats to LAPD for a job well done .........need we say anymore.
Good riddance. No wasted trial or imprisonment & no more wasted tax money on this piece of K-rap !
I knew he would never live to stand trial once he killed a cop he was already dead
The whole situation is just really sad. I was a little surprised that he ddn't try and hike out on foot, especially with his military background.
May the coward murderer burn in hell!!!!!! That's all I got to say.....
"May all Dishonest Cops continue to live in fear of the truth"
Brian Ray Dok Holiday---The way you keep ranting about the LAPD gives me the impression that you have got caught by them. The LAPD was not involved in the burning and killing of that POS. It was San Bernadino Sheriffs Department.
" May all fools like you continue to live in fear of the smart people"
I speak of all law enforcement in the USA. Protect us, serve us, be honest, and love your country. If I have an Emergency, I'm going to call the Police, and wait for assistance also.. To imply that I hate cops or condone killings is sick and cheap-shotted...Therefore, either you've been interested in reading my comments, (thanks :0) ) or you cant think outside the box either. we can all agree to disagree.. thats what makes us American. Thanks to all for your thoughts and input. I'll be sure to lock up extra tight at home, because there really ARE crazy people in this world.. ( what if Dorner walked out of the flames like The Terminator and came back as a robotic cyborg from the future and finished his mission? ...lol It'd Make a great Movie!! Good night America! God Bless the USA!
