A Berks County, Penn., man was arrested Friday after authorities say he repeatedly raped a mentally disabled woman over the span of two years.
The District Attorney's Crime Unit arrested Joseph Lombardo, 59, at his Reading home on Friday morning, after an investigation dating back to September.
The District Attorney's office says that Lombardo sexually abused the 48-year-old woman numerous times between 2009 and 2011.
Authorities say he owns a transportation business called "Life Coach Companion" that transports mentally disabled people. Lombardo drove the woman to Special Olympics events.

He was not contracted by the Special Olympics and was paid $20 a trip by individual clients, including the woman's mother.
The sexual assaults happened in his vehicle and at his home, according to the District Attorney's office.
He is currently awaiting video arraignment at the Berks County Sheriff's Department.

I hate reading stories like this. All l want to see it "Man castrated and molested with a broom for two years after raping mentally disabled victim". My sister was handicapped before she passed away and if this happened to her, I would be going to jail for torture and murder!!!

The sick will continue to abuse, harm children, the elderly and mentally, physically handicapped because they have to know at some sick level in their heads, that otherwise they would be the ones getting the stuffing knocked out of them. This is the lowest form of human depravity, harming this women who was not able to defend herself. No rehabilitation for you sir, lock the door and throw away the key.

Try him in court,convict him and send him to prison for life.That's what he deserves for repeatedly raping a disabled person whose family entrusted hie and his company for transportation.
When this goes to trial the defense lawyer will claim that they were in love and the sex was mutually agreed upon. Prove otherwise. The pervert will end up walking free

After he's convicted, jus throw him in with the general population at the prison. It is my understanding that rapists and child molestors are not liked in prison and are usually kept seperated from the general population.
Put him in general pop AND make him share a cell with Jerry Sandusky.
Did she say he forced her or are they calling it rape because they don't believe she has the mental capacity to consent?

If proven guilty, he should never be allowed to walk our streets for the rest of his life. And that is the problem here in
America. You can kill someone and be out on the streets again within 24 years or less. Yopu can rape and or kill children and walk free. They want to ban guns, well first they have to ban people such as this is about. We once had a decent country but America is in decay and it is going to get worse if the people who lover life, liberty, and justice takes this country back. Those who are in office to protect us are some of the worst in the lot. And still get re-elected. The only hope we have left, is by the people sticking together and demanding that no matter the crime, the guilty is punished. In the case posted here, this man should be put away for life without the hope of patrol. And anyone who has been proven guilty then later found to be innocent, should be paid for every hour he spent there and I don't mean pennies.

We should have a legal system in the United States that enables us to verify if the case is 100% solid on something like this, thru his fluid found at her place or other means, and then promptly execute him.
When there is no doubt on a case that's this horrible, death should be swift. 1 year maximum from conviction to execution.
Violating the trust of patients is appalling.
Violating the trust of someone who is mentally unable to tell right from wrong is inexcusable.
