'Building back stronger': New schools replace three erased by 2011 Missouri tornado

Irving Elementary School will reopen at a new location Monday in Joplin, Mo., almost three years after deadly tornadoes destroyed it.

Three new schools are opening Monday in Joplin, Mo., almost three years after the school system was all but wiped off the map by tornadoes that killed 160 people in May 2011.

In a video posted Friday by the Joplin School District, above, you can take a tour of one of them, Irving Elementary, which students helped design and which they'll pour into Monday on the site where St. John's Hospital was destroyed.
