Two babies were found buckled in their car seats and dumped on a Florida sidewalk after a thief stole their mother’s vehicle while they were still inside, police said Monday.
The 1-year-old and 3-year-old were in the car when it was stolen outside a hotel in Orlando just after 8 p.m. Sunday.
The children, whose genders were not released by police, were not harmed and have since been reunited with their mother, who was also not identified.
The thief stole the car at the Ramada Orlando Downtown hotel, and the infants were found on the sidewalk less than a three minutes’ drive away, Sgt. James Young, of the Orlando Police, told NBC News.
He said police have no suspect in the case and have not found the vehicle.
