A 61-year-old male nurse was arrested after allegedly committing a sex act on a female corpse, Los Angeles police said Monday.

The incident occurred at the Sherman Oaks Hospital, according to Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Alejandro Razo was arrested Sunday on a state health code violation but was released on $20,000 bail while the investigation continues, Joseph said.

Sherman Oaks Hospital declined to comment.

Police would not provide details about the incident. No booking photo of Razo was available.

Razo is set to appear in court on Feb. 11.
