Prosecutors: New Jersey man says he fantasized about roasting children

    Essex County Department of Correction

Robert Mucha has been charged with two counts of possessing child pornography.

    By Isolde Raftery, NBC News

In the complaint explaining why Robert Mucha, 56, was being charged with two counts of possessing child porn, federal prosecutors detailed what they said was the man’s fantasy of basting a 2-year-old boy in barbecue sauce, roasting him and then eating him like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Mucha, of Newton, N.J., was also charged with luring a 15-year-old boy to his apartment. He was arrested in July.

According to court records, Mucha maintained an account on Yahoo!, where he met with others to exchange pornography and to talk about raping, roasting and eating children.

    Follow @NBCNewsUS

Mucha allegedly maintained a lively online correspondence with a man from Kansas, with whom he focused on “the cooking and eating of prepubescent boys, with a particular interest in how they might abduct the children, drug them, roast them and, ultimately, consume them.”

The prosecutors allege that on one occasion, Mucha said to his online friend that it was “stupid” for Jerry Sandusky, the convicted Penn State football coached sentenced for 30 to 60 years for pedophilia, to have abused one of his victims in a gym shower – a semi-public location.

The prosecutors out of the U.S. District Court of New Jersey say that Mucha lured a 15-year-old boy he had befriended to his apartment. That night, they say, Mucha allegedly attempted to molest him, but the boy said he did not want to be touched. The boy soon after left the apartment.

Police searched Mucha’s apartment on July 25. Shortly after the search, police say that Mucha told officers about his fantasy about basting a toddler – and said that sometimes he imagines himself as the victim.

According to prosecutors, Mucha also said that he had made physical contact with “numerous teenage boys over the course of his life.” He allegedly told police that when he taught Drum & Bugle Corps in New Jersey, he watched young boys shower and occasionally joined them.

Prosecutors said he is also a member of websites dedicated to cannibalism and necrophilism fetishists.

NYPD officer accused of attempted kidnapping, threatening to eat women

By Shimon Prokupecz and Jonathan Dienst, NBCNewYork.com

An New York City police officer is accused of threatening to kidnap, cook and eat women in a bizarre plot where he fantasized about how "tasty" one victim looked and said it would be easy to roast a person in his oven, officials said Thursday.

    Follow @NBCNewsUS

Gilberto Valle, 28, of Queens, N.Y., was charged with two counts of attempted kidnapping. The criminal complaint against him includes transcripts of his alleged plans, in which he is quoted at one point as telling a co-conspirator that his oven is "big enough to fit one of these girls if I folded their legs."

"I was thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus ... cook her over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible," he is accused of saying in the July conversation.

Read the original report  |  More from NBCNewYork.com

"She does look tasty doesn't she," he added, according to the complaint.

According to the criminal complaint, Valle had files on his computer that referred to at least 100 women, including photographs, addresses and physical descriptions.

Ten of those women have been interviewed by the FBI and confirmed that they know Valle, the complaint said.

Valle had been assigned to the 26th Precinct in Manhattan before his suspension on Wednesday.

He was expected to appear in federal court in Manhattan in court later Thursday. Lawyer information was not immediately available.

Puppeteer who fantasized online about cannibalism arrested for child porn, conspiring to kidnap

    By Kari Huus, NBC News

    Pinellas County SO

Ronald William Brown, 57, of Florida was arrested after police uncovered graphic Internet chats in which he talked about abducting, murdering and cannibalizing children.

A Florida puppeteer known for community involvement was arrested and charged with conspiring to kidnap a child and possession of child pornography, according to a criminal complaint filed in a federal court in Tampa court on Friday.

A day earlier, federal and local agents arrested Ronald William Brown, 57, after uncovering graphic Internet chats in which he talked about abducting, murdering and cannibalizing children, referring specifically to his interest in a boy attending his church, the complaint says.

    Follow @NBCNewsUS

In a search of Brown's computer investigators came across pornographic images of children, including some of boys in bondage and others in which the subject appears to be dead, according to the 29-page complaint.

Brown, who lived alone in the Whispering Pines mobile home park in Largo, had ties to many organizations in the Tampa Bay area, including the Gulf Coast Church, the Pinellas County School District, the Christian Television Network, the city of Largo, and Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, the Tampa Bay Times reported. All said Brown had been hired or volunteered as a performer, instructor or mentor, according to the report.

According to the documents, Brown admitted to fantasizing about killing, dismembering and cannibalizing children, but said it was just a fantasy and that he would never hurt anyone.

A Homeland Security investigation of Michael Arnett, a suspect in Kansas City, led authorities to Brown, the complaint said.

It said Arnett, who allegedly possessed pornographic images of children, including some who appeared to be decapitated, engaged in lengthy online chats with Brown and others about killing and canabalizing children.

The documents include extensive excerpts from his discussions with Brown, obtained from Yahoo through a subpoena in which Brown muses about killing a particular child. In the court filing, the child's name is replaced with “C” to protect his identity.

"Maybe I can tell him that he’s a big boy now and he can take it. I could give him a choice on how he wants to go," wrote uelime, an online name used by Brown in a chat dated April 23, 2011, in one excerpt included in the complaint.

"That would be nice of you :)," responded calf_keeper2, the online identity of Michael Arnett, the complaint alleges. "Give him choices/ all which end up in him being cut up and eaten."

"I could ask him how he wants each cut of his body to be done and then label it for him with a black marker," uelime replies.

The complaint says that Brown told investigators in an interview that Arnett had traveled to Tampa and attempted to contact him, but that he did not respond because "he had no desire to do anything."

Arnett was arrested in May and charged with two counts related to the production, distribution and possession of child pornography.

Agents were still investigating claims that Arnett made to Brown that he had cannibalized a child, according to the Times report, citing Ross Feinstein, spokesman at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An attorney speaking to reporters on Brown’s behalf on Tuesday told reporters he believes Brown is innocent and the conspiracy charge won't hold up because Brown never actually met with Arnett, the Times reported.

Maryland cannibalism suspect indicted, sent to mental hospital

    Harford County, Md., Sheriff's Office

Alexander Kinyua is accused of killing a housemate and and then eating his heart and part of his brain.

By msnbc.com staff and news services

Maryland cannibalism suspect Alexander Kinyua was indicted Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and weapon carrying, and will be transferred to a state mental hospital for evaluation.

Maryland District Court Judge Susan Hazlett ordered that Kinyua, held without bond, be sent to Clifton Perkins Hospital, Harford County State's Attorney Joseph Cassilly announced.

    Follow @msnbc_us

Prosecutors say Kinyua, 21, killed family friend Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, a Ghanaian national, at the Kinyua family home in Joppatowne. Kinyua told investigators he ate Agyei-Kodie’s heart and part of his brain, prosecutors say.

Agyei-Kodie was reported missing on May 25 by Kinyua's father, a physics professor at Morgan State University in nearby Baltimore, where the suspect and victim were also students. The suspect's brother found two hands and a head in a tin, and police say Kinyua confessed to killing Agyei-Kodie, chopping up his body with a knife. Other remains were found in a trash bin outside a nearby church.

Separately, Kinyua was indicted last week by a Baltimore grand jury on an attempted murder charge in a May 19 attack on a 22-year-old man in a dorm room at Morgan State.

The victim, Joshua Ceasar, was hit with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and chains. He told investigators that when he awoke after the attack, he saw Kinyua standing over him with a knife. Ceasar was left partially blinded, his attorney said.

Cops: Man hacked victim with ax, ate brain

By msnbc.com staff and news services

A Florida man has been arrested on charges that he hacked to death a Connecticut man and ate the victim's eye and part of his brain.

Police in Lynn Haven, Fla., said Wednesday that 35-year-old Tyree Lincoln Smith was arrested Tuesday night on a Connecticut warrant for murder.

According to police in Bridgeport, Conn., Smith was covered in blood when he told a relative on Dec. 16 that he had killed a man with a hatchet and eaten pieces of his brain and his eye.

The relative contacted authorities after the body of Angel "Tun Tun" Gonzalez, 43, was discovered Jan. 20 at his Bridgeport, Conn., apartment. Police say Smith left Connecticut that day on a Florida-bound bus.

Lynn Haven police say federal, state and local law enforcement officers took Smith into custody at a residence without incident.

According to ctpost.com, an affidavit in the case says Gonzales had seen Smith sleeping outside on a porch and invited him to come in from the cold and share the apartment he was living in.

Once in the apartment, the affidavit states, Smith began beating Gonzalez about the head and face with the ax, ctpost.com reported.

He later told his relative the blows to Gonzalez's head were so severe he was able to remove an eye from the victim's head along with a piece of the victim's brain, which he then carried in a plastic bag to a nearby cemetery where he ate the parts at his brother's grave site, ctpost.com reported..

Odalys Vaszuez told ctpost.com that she wants justice for her stepfather's slaying.

"Here it is that my dad was trying to help this guy, telling him to come inside from the cold," she told the website. "If my father was helping him stay warm, what kind of person is it who does this, who repays him by swinging an axe at him and hitting him so hard it blows his brains out?"

Police said the woman Smith was staying with in Florida was unaware of the allegations and is cooperating with investigators, according to NBCConnecticut.com.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
